It's a cute place near the coast. They have pictures of indigenous people harvesting crops - so cool! They support the local farms too. There's limited seating inside - about 10 seats. Only 2 plugs so you can't really do work but it seems pretty quiet. If you get the high top table, there are 4 seats and you can do work but I suggest maybe bringing a power strip. *HINT for business owner to add power strips to the outlets or maybe extension cords* The staff is super friendly and unique! You can order food from here too, but in case you don't want to eat there are food truck across and restaurants all around. The coffee is great I had the 16oz iced Americano and the coffee they use is so robust. If you need sweetness, they have organic granulated sugars, liquid blue agave, and honey. read more

It's got coffee so that's good...but this is a classic case of a coffee shop relying on a cool name, cool aesthetics, and some local art instead of putting the attention on okay well..the coffee. It's totally just OKAY. And I would say definitely overrated. But if you wanna go here's what you need to know: They are taking social distancing quite seriously and actually doing an exceptional job with it. Because of this you should anticipate to wait anywhere from 12-15 minutes if you're there during the morning hours. The menu is big and it includes breakfast items like duh avocado toast (among other overrated foods). The paper straws they use dissolve reeeeeally quickly so this is definitely a place to considering bringing your collapsible reusable straw (it's 2020 don't play like you don't have one yet). We tried cold brew and an iced chai. The chai concentrate was pretty spicy (in a good way). I don't know this was just such an underwhelming experience, considering how many fabulous businesses I got to experience in Water Color. read more

I popped into Amavida, desperate for some tea and based on positive recommendations. I ordered an iced chai tea latte with soy milk, and it was one of the best chai teas I've had in a long time (this is saying something since I have a lot of Tibetan and Indian friends!!). The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and I was surprised at how quickly I received my drink. While I didn't eat there, I did have a bit of food porn ogling of their food case... the sandwiches and baked good items really looked delicious. I'll definitely be back next time I come back this way, which I am hoping will be very soon! Amavida definitely has won my tea business. read more

This coffee shop is right in the heart of Seaside in the plaza. It's gorgeous inside with local artwork and pretty spacious. All of the employees wore masks and they had plexiglass up at the counter. I had the iced lavender tea. It was delicious! My friend bought an oat bar. I had a bite and it was not too sweet and perfectly baked! I was really surprised @ how excellent this coffee shop was in the middle of a pretty touristy area! Plus, they are one of the few places along the Florida panhandle we've found on our trip that are taking COVID precautions. Highly recommend. read more

Wow, I'm not sure why this place is only 3.5 stars on Yelp. Either people in Seaside just aren't Yelpers or they just don't really know what's in front of them. I gave this beachside coffee shop 5-stars for the following reasons: a) TASTE. The white chocolate mocha was just like Seaside--a little slice of heaven. Soooo good! b) QUALITY. The coffee is 100% organic and fair trade. Why do I care if it's organic or not? Well, coffee is one of the most chemically induced products in the world. Would I want to be drinking chemicals dressed as a latte? No, and I'm sure you wouldn't like that either. So, a "high five" to Amavida for setting themselves apart from the average coffee shops. c) SERVICE. Excellent customer service by the staff/barista. I bought a medium iced latte and went on my way to cruise around the block but immediately dropped the drink by accident. I went back right away to buy another serving (since the latte was THAT good). I was getting ready to pay, however, the barista offered it as complimentary after hearing that I dropped it accidentally. I wasn't looking for a freebie but what a great move that was because now they have found a loyal customer in me and although I will not be able to go there everyday (I'm from San Diego after all), I will definitely be buying my coffee from them online. This place is absolutely horrible. A group of us are at this place and we all ordered something different to try a variety but nothing tastes good. They even messed up our orders and we had to go back to the counter a few times. This is probably the closest thing I've tasted to liquified sh*t in a cup as I can imagine. My friend and I wanted some good coffee so we decided to go to Amavida. Usually we get two iced coffees and they come out in five minutes. Today was different. We walked in and the line was not long at all it took about two minutes to walk up to order. We ordered one iced coffee and usually it will ask you if you want your receipt then the name for the order. Today we did not even get asked if we wanted a receipt and the cashier did not give us the name for our order. We sat down to wait for our coffee and it took about 15 minutes until one of us went up and asked. She said it would be ready soon. About 6-10 minutes later the coffee comes out and the lady claims someone took our coffee. read more

I enjoyed a really nice ice coffee and scone here this morning. The coffee had a great flavor and the scone was moist. Overall, it was a really cute stop for a quick bite. My only complaint would be their lack of seating inside and outside of their establishment. However, you're so close to the Seaside amphitheater that there is plenty of places to relax elsewhere. when we first showed up there was a very long line that tool forever, before we got to the register i could tell that the workers were not working to there best availability, they were moving slow and not putting much effort into there job. After doing a general browse for coffee shops in the area I am extremely satisfied with Amavida Coffee Roasters, down in Seaside! The staff was super friendly and I was very pleased with my cold brew! My girlfriend ordered a chai tea latte and was also pleased with how it turned out. The best part of the whole experience was finding out Amavida is fighting against mass incarceration and has partnered with Equal Justice Initiative (EJI). I urge everyone to do their research for more places like Amavida, who work towards combatting serious issues that plague our society! For me, this was a solid selling point after stepping foot inside! Overall, I have been to several coffee shops within the area during my time down here and Amavida tops all of them, from a product standpoint towards their approach with customers, to finally their commitment to take a stand on such a pivotal societal issue.
