I've taken my daughter here last year before school started, and had a great experience. She has wavy hair, and had a female presenting stylist. So, I figured we can both come in today, almost a year later, for a touch up on both of us. I went in for a walk-appointment as we live within walking distance, and I was looking to reshape my hair for more bounce with my 3a/b hair (photos taken before, and even prior showing texture) I've been growing for three years. I do not use heat, except for low warm on a blow dryer to combat a skin condition on my scalp, at night, otherwise, air dry only. The only male presenting staff member in the shop was doing all the haircuts for today, and I should've known this wasn't going to go well when he began with a fine tooth comb to comb out my curls, (which was intentionally left, to show my hair texture). After switching combs, he has decided to comb from root to tip, and had passed the comb hard through my hair, which broken through any coiled together hair. I said that it would be best to use the comb at the the ends of the hair to release the coils, and slowly work up the strands instead of from the root. That advice wasn't taken. Next, the cut started fine, except there was no sign of a spray bottle, anywhere. Not once. Instead, he pulls what sounded like and felt like a blow-dryer, which he used on my daughter's bangs, and decided to use to smooth the back of her hair out which was not what we asked for, but was eventually being charged for (which I declined). Instead, when he is in my line of sight, I eventually see a two step process which is a teal/blue straightener chased with a tong-like smoothing brush (two smoothing brushes inward like tongs). By this point, half of my hair was already "stretched" by what I now realize was this method. I settled in thinking it won't be that bad, but towards the end as the straightener is closer to the front of my face do I begin to notice the heat must be really high, as it the smell of burn/over heated hair is prominent. It was too late. I thought nothing of it, as couldn't feel how hot as it was on my roots, however, after being able to smell it, I knew my curls were subject to damage. After sitting with it for 5 hours, and still smelling my singed hair, I decided to wash it, gently, and with cool water, and my curl structure has now changed from 3a/b to 2c hair. This may not seem like much, but the entire point of my visit today was to lift my curls up for more volume and framing my face, and now I am left with wavy hair. I wasn't asked about using heat. I now have to figure out how to undo this texture damage, as I hardly ever use heating tools except occasionally at the roots due to scale psorasis and not having wet scalp helps heal it. Knowing I paid $15 tip for both cuts/trims, $20 for bangs, and $55 for my cut, a total of $90, I am upset. I feel like I should have been asked before even considering using even a blow-dryer, let along a straightener, or at least tell me that my hair texture is unfamiliar, or decline me completely if not knowing how to work with curly hair. I have always had stylists and hair dressers use water after brushing out to stretch the hair. Never using heat. Even at the end when they want to show texture, they ask if they could us a blow dryer, which I usually decline. I would like to have this fixed somehow with a treatment for moisture or a refund. read more

I just came in the other day, asked for a light brown fade in my hair. Hanna made it completely black, and double charged me $160. I reluctantly paid knowing I had no other option. I left crying. I called back later and asked if the hair dye was permanent because she made it completely black. She didn't understand anything I was saying and kept asking me what I wanted. I understand the language barrier and Im not mad because of that. I just wish I walked out. Terrible experience for me. I wish I could get a refund. I bleached my hair when I got home and it looks so much better! Please go somewhere else everyone reading this, and save your money and time. She just recently moved to this location. It's bigger than other places she's been and this place also does mani/pedi and haircuts. In the past I've gone to other lash techs but no one can compare. The first time I come here, it was actually very good. I returned again 3 weeks later and received possibly the worst manicure I have ever had. I am pretty sure I can paint my own nails better than this. The manicurist technique had obvious problems as there were bubbles that kept forming at the surface of the nail. She tried to use a dirty utensil to remove bubbles but it only made more bubbles due to dust and debris. She kept getting gel polish on the cuticle which she did not remove successfully. Not a single nail appears clean as she painted too close to cuticle each time. When I asked her to clean at the end, she wasn't able to and actually told me to take care of it myself when I got home. I loved my mani and pedi today. Although I did forget their names, they took great care of me. I ended up wanting gel nails and pedicure last minute. The chairs for my pedicure were comfortable and when it was time to scrub my feet, they had a lift so that I wouldn't have to constantly move them up and down. Great precision with the nail application and a good clean up to make sure nothing was left on my skin. My manicure was amazing as well. She had carefully removed my cuticles and was gentle but firm. She applied several coats and the end result was beautiful and smooth. They did an amazing job with my eyebrows as well - great clean up! While it is true that there are different employees in different days, it does not make a difference because they are all competent in what they do. Koi does excellent job in the hair department. I came here as a walk in, needed a trim on my bangs. One of the guys greeted me and told me the price. I agreed, sat down and within 10 mins. he did it quickly. It was an ok job. I can't say it was the best bangs I've ever had, but then again, I am picky about my bangs. He was very friendly and said if I needed a haircut, to come back and he could help me. The only thing I would say is that I wish the service was more attentive. Because every customer, no matter how small of a job, could lead to a bigger client. Today was my first time getting a pedicure at this place (recommended by someone) and I will never be going back. The women doing the pedicure was rushing the entire time, didn't ask me what type of pedicure I wanted. So I'll Assume that they only have one type of pedicure which is basically a 5min soak, nails clipped and toes pained, oh and can't forget about the 1.5 min massage. When I got there I was rushed In and she set out a dirt white towel for my feet fo go on top of as she worked. I asked for a new one and she brought out another white stained towel. The stains were yellow and sticky, looked like food stains. She began to Clip my toe nails with a huge clipper that she pulled out of a cart, I could tell those were not properly sterilized. None of the equipment she used on me was new or sterilize all love to use and crusty. She did not even a scrub my feet for more then 5 seconds. In those 5 seconds of scrubbing she was going so light that it really did absolutely nothing. Once the paint was on she legit gave me minute and a half massage (total for both feet). The entire "experience" took 30min. I was charged $50 for a crap job. Definitely not wroth it. Positive: The lady was nice and she did a good job painting my toes. read more

It was my first time for a pedicure at this place because it near my house. The lady did my pedicure for less than 20'. She was just playing with the cuticle pusher but she didn't push the dead skin. She was barely massage my feet less than 2"' and scrubbed my feet for another 2'. For that amount of money that they charge me and the tips, I would have better pedicure somewhere else. When I just stared to go there for meni pedi I was really satisfied with the service and my nails. With the time I feel like something happened first, they became very rude and grumpy everytime. Second, pedicure is very bad, last time I was there I guess the girl was new, it took forever plus the polish was a mess so they needed to don't over again and still I went out and it came off by the evening-super disappointed. I have been here a couple of times, but no complaints until after today. I walked in without an appointment and they were ready to do my nails. A lady sat me down and removed my existing gel nail polish. She was very nice, but they was she was handing my nails was pretty rough. When removing my cuticles it seemed as if she didn't know how to do it. She tore some of my skin from trying to get my cuticles and not my hands hurt from it. The feel sensitive every time I touch the edge. In the photo I included you could see the skin that she ripped off. She also left extra gel nail polish on my hand and the shape was not nice at all. At first I was so excited that a new beauty place had moved next to my go-to sandwich/coffee shop and grocery store. How convenient! Or so it seemed. As it turns out... the only Amazing thing about the Cuts is how crooked they can be on your nails. I never even thought it possible! Upon entering there are no other customers so I am immediately seated for my pedicure. The prices are reasonable (about $20 for a pedicure) so I choose a French pedicure for an extra $5. Who doesn't mind a little extra cost for some cute toesies? So far, not so bad. As soon as the pedicurist (we'll call her Betty) "finishes" trimming my toenails I notice something is wrong. At least half of them are crooked -- not following the natural shape of each nail. I point out that some need to be cut differently. She acts as if nothing is wrong, but gingerly trims one of the nails. I point out another, which she also fixes. The others aren't AS bad, so I leave it at that for the moment. I figure that once Betty puts on the white French tips she'll HAVE to notice the crookedness! But she finishes and leaves the room. Some of the nails even have sharp jagged edges. A big no-no! The manager comes over and asks how everything went. I point out the jagged edges, so THE MANAGER picks up a nail clipper and trims them herself. A pity that Betty did not do a thorough job and could not trim a toenail according to its natural shape! The pedicure itself lasted 3 weeks before chipping, so one star for good quality nail paint. Since I don't like having to hassle people about how to do their jobs, I won't be back. TIP: If you like crooked pedicures that last a long time, this is the spot! read more

This is a decent salon for getting manicure or nails done. It tends to stay put for longer than most salons I've tried. The only downside is that I'm a bit sensitive and would prefer if they went easy or slow during the process of getting acrylic nails done. I wouldn't recommend pedicure as I developed a rash on my leg since the scrubbing was way too intense. read more

I live across the street from this place. They've cut my hair a few times and always done a great job. No complaints there. I'm usually a threading person but I had let my brows grow out and I really needed to get them done before my anniversary. The threading place I used to go to was a bit out of the way so I decided to just go ahead and get them waxed here. I feel so bad that I didn't get the waxer's name because she was fantastic. She was Asian with thick dark hair and when I first came in, she was working on a pedicure and had on a mask. It was the quickest and least painful eyebrow wax ever. Even the tweezing! I almost fell asleep in the back room because it was that good! I had no idea a waxing experience could be so great, especially since I'd switched to threading because waxing had always been very painful for me. My brows look fantastic. They grow unevenly but she evened them out and arched them without making them look too thin or weird. I'll be coming back in, definitely! Thank you! read more
