I made an appointment because of the good reviews but she was in a hurry because her sister the owner Annie was on vacation and she took on more customers than she could handle because she called me to come early then acted rushed ( red flag 1). I was thinking of French but she said she didn't have time ( red flag 2) She did a bumpy uneven gel manicure with some gel on my cuticles . She didn't say anything until I did ( red flag 3)-- normally they'll say this is bumpy let me fix that. She was honest afterwards and said she hasn't used that gold shimmery color in a LONG time so I was like oh maybe it's expired ( red flag 4). She seems like a nice lady and offered to fix after all that but after that much UV light and buffing some fingers only to look horrible again I just couldn't keep doing it and had to leave. I love coming to Annie's! I've been coming here for years (even though I don't cut my hair that often), but Annie's has been consistent for as long as I can remember. This past visit I called in advance to make an appointment to make sure it didn't conflict with her schedule. She was able to squeeze me in same day at 4:30pm. They are a talented set of people (not sure if I call them barbers or hair stylists). You know many people can give you a bad haircut and it gets better in a week once it grows. But here you can get a hair cut that stays bad over a period of time. Went in towards last week of Feb, Tiffany gave me a haircut. My isntructions we're pretty basic, don't go below a 4 on the side.. as simple as that.. I walked out with something less than a 3-3.5 is what Tiffany said.. It was awful!! Phone call was not helpful for a new customer and the lady was rude. They should not talk to new (or existing) customers with attitude or unfriendly tones if they want to keep customers coming back. There should be someone with a good mood answering the phone and scheduling appointments because it's very easy to call the next salon in that same mile and get a friendlier voice. They need to be patient and say thank you or give the phone to someone who has time for a 2 minute long call, especially when they are the only front of the company. read more

Tldr; If you are a woman in the process of growing her hair longer and wanting a trim to keep the ends healthy, unless you are able to come in with high-definition photos from multiple angles and utilize exact cosmetologist haircutting language, I strongly would not recommend coming in here for a trim of your existing hairstyle as you may have a disappointing experience. Of course, I'm sure from the hairstylist's point of view that this is entirely my fault for wanting a trim/no changes to existing style, but not bringing photos and not utilizing all the appropriate descriptors, even though she said she would be able to give me a trim of the existing style. The reviews for Q Cuts and Annie's Salon sounded okay so I gave this place a try. The last time I had my hair cut was a "trim" in June 2017 to remove some damaged ends. My hair is overall very healthy, as I wash no more than every other day using moisturizing shampoo and conditioner, air-dry, rarely use hair dryer (during cold weather season, as needed) and curling iron and use a salon leave-in treatment. Anyway, I go into Annie's Salon for a trim. I told Tiffany I like the haircut I already have and want a trim only, not a haircut. I don't even need a trim actually, because I don't have split ends until eight-twelve months between trims, but hair industry peeps recommend trims every six-eight weeks. The existing hair style I had was perfect for my active lifestyle: rounded cut, subtle layers in front below mid-chest, no layers in the back, not a blunt cut, textured ends. It looked good "wash and go", in a braid (no sections of ends sticking out, because no layers) and in gym ponytail. Tiffany showed me how much she would cut off, no more than 1 1/2 inches. I agreed, so she started cutting. When Tiffany finished, she held up a large mirror so I could see the back. I was horrified, and immediately said I don't like V-cut. I don't prefer V-cut on myself. I had partial ombre balayage less than two weeks ago, so it was obvious there were two main layers. The top layer looked like it was blunt cut straight across and the bottom layer was a v - shape. It wasn't even well-blended. So she started cutting again, to remove the v-shape, which of course meant she had to cut more than the initially agreed upon 1 1/2 inches to remedy the problem. She held up the mirror to show me the back again, which was now a rounded shape, blunt cut. I did not walk in with a blunt cut. I grew up getting blunt end haircut, so I am not really into that. I told her, no, I want the ends textured. I don't want blunt ends. So, she starts cutting again, shows me the reflection in the mirror, now the cut is extremely choppy. Perfect for that edgy gal, but that is not the style I want. So, she puts down the mirror and starts to cut again. As she continued cutting, another customer walked in and took a seat in the waiting area. As she was the only one working in the salon, I could sense her impatience building because she started to cut much faster. The result was still quite disappointing, but I could tell she wanted me out of her chair so she could start on her next customer. The final result was a choppy round-ish cut with two main layers, much shorter than initially anticipated (when I walked in). I now wake up with the ends flipped out, which didn't happen before this cut, and is quite irritating for me. Pricing is not the issue. It shouldn't be a cheap-looking cut for a cheap fee or an expensive-looking cut at a higher fee. I've experienced good haircuts from stylists charging $25 to over $70 for wash, cut and styling (usually loose curls). At Annie's Salon, a women's haircut with no wash and no styling will run you $25. Your results may vary. Two stars ("Meh. I've experienced better."). Sounds like it's a better experience with the men's cuts. read more

I've been going to this location for a couple years now, but only recently found out that they changed salon name to Annie's salon and spa. The new owner is now Annie, although she's been working here for some years. She does a great job listening to what I try and describe when I get my hair cut, and cuts off the perfect amount. Annie cuts the best "deep v" shape out of all the previous salons I tried going to. I have very long Asian hair. She works well with adding layers too! It takes me atleast 30 minutes to get to this salon but it's worth it every time! They also do manicures and pedicures here but I've only tried the gel manicures. It's a great price especially when Annie can do that for you too! read more

Decided to make this my regular haircut place since my favorite barber shop raised their prices all of a sudden, unfortunately. The ladies are very nice and do a great job for a very affordable price ($13 to be exact). I also brought my daughter in to get her bangs cut about a week ago. The lady ended up braiding her hair as well and only charged us $3 or $4. I gave her a generous tip because I felt she under charged me for all the work she did. Not sure if they do appointments because I always gone as a walk in. The only negative is the parking is a little scarce. Other than that, I can not recommend this place enough. I would give it more stars, if possible. read more

I have been going to Annie now for about 1 year and I can't believe the talent Annie has for cutting my hair. She actually cuts it dry! Yes, dry! It's the first time anyone has done it in my life but it actually makes the most sense. I have fine, curly hair that when wet can look long, so most people cut it way too short; by cutting it dry Annie get the layers and length just right and then wetting a bit for texturizing, and fine tuning. Was excellent the first time I went. My haircut was done by the owner (Annie?). But the second time was by a younger woman. She was rushing it through so she could get to the next customer. She handled the trimmer so casual and was waving it on my head like she was painting with it. I was genuinely scared for a few seconds. So rushed, she dug the trimmer all around my neck that it still hurts and took out way more than I asked her to, it looks horrible. Would not give them another chance. Went here with my aunt and grandmother today for a girls day out: two haircuts, two mani-pedis, and brow waxing. The prices were so reasonable. I loved my haircut, just as good as $60-70 cuts I've gotten for half the cost. Annie and her sister were friendly and helpful and were able to balance taking care of us with a few short men's cuts without anyone having to wait too long. Highly recommended.
