Mariola is one of the best who I have been going to for almost 2 years. I took advantage of the great package deal and each time, she is very thorough and attentive to my facial needs. If I have an event that same day or next day, I just ask her to go lightly on the extraction and treatment. Most of my treatments last about 90min when others are about 60 min or less at the same cost at other places. Mariola not only cleans, exfoliates, extracts, puts a face mask on the clients but also massages the face and shoulders on most of the treatments. Great deal for what you pay. Went here with a girlfriend for a facial and a mani/pedi because of GROUPON. Granted I've never had a facial before, and the ladies were really nice, I thought it was only a so-so experience. The facial was nice, but I thought it was suppose to be more of a relaxing experience. Just like during the massage... quiet. I didn't mind talking but I just didn't feel relaxed. The mani/pedi was ok. There was no foot scrub (or maybe she forgot). Other than that it was pretty normal. It did last a decent amount of time though. I don't really think I'd recommend this place. I will most definitely be back. I walked in for a Brazilian Wax courtesy of a $25 Groupon I found. Let's just say I was incredibly scared as this was my first time. The entire process was incredibly easy. I called a week in advance to set up an appointment. The receptionist put my down for my scheduled time and called back the day before to remind me. When I walked in, she was incredibly friendly and put me at ease. My esthetician was Kasha. She did an incredibleee job! I can not emphasize how great of a job she did. Wow wow wow.. I just got back from my Brazilian wax with Kashia and she is awesome! I have been to 3 different waxing places and this place is the best - at least with Kashia. The wax was completed in less than 30 minutes and the most importantly, IT WAS PAINLESS!! My face became more dull than before.. Mariola did the facial and there was no much of massage or anything.. just face packs of all d time.. she said she removed d blackheads and left a big red mark on my nose .. I very highly recommend this place! They do offer a wide range of spa services, and keep in mind that my experience here was for the waxing. I purchased a Groupon for a brazilian, and could not have asked for a better job well done for an absolutely amazing deal. The place is small but clean, and Kasha greeted me warmly even when I arrived 5 minutes late for my appointment. She was very friendly and professional throughout. Kasha gave the most efficient, quick, and least-amount-of-pain waxing experience that I have had, and you can tell she knows what she is doing. She explained that all waxes are different, and a true professional should know the wax they use well and how techniques should be altered for different types of hair. She knows her wax well. We were talking the entire time, and before I knew it she was all done in less than fifteen minutes, all hair gone! Her philosophy is a wax is going to be painful, no doubt, but her job is to make it as quick as possible for her clients. Much appreciated. In addition there was no post-wax stickiness as there was cleaning and after product applied. I would definitely go to her again, and recommend first timers and new clients to try her as well. I kinda struggled finding time to make an appointment, I wish they could improve their online appointment system (through yelp and their own website I think). I'm a visual person, so setting up appointments online are more convenient for me rather than talking over the phone. I came in Saturday morning when they opened! I don't remember the woman who took care of me, but she did a great job on my Brazilian wax! We had a nice conversation while she worked on my hairs and the whole appointment went smoothly. Service was average. If you are buying the groupon don't have high hopes. Here is my facial experience : I bought the collagen facial groupon. I have gone to lot of places with groupons for facial. Most of the facials include some extractions if the face need those. However this facial doesn't cover any extractions at all. Since I just want to use my groupon and I really needed some extractions hence I traded extractions for facial massage (which was a bad choice). At the end of 1 hour facial, I just got a scrub on my face, some extractions (I can still see lot of black heads on my nose and chin area) and a bit of shoulder massage. Also Mariola like to talk while doing facials. I think it would be great if she can ask the customer if they want a quite experience or they like to make conversation. read more

Service - 5 stars! It was really easy to make an appointment, and they're open until 8pm which is amazing. I came in and was accommodated immediately and the whole Groupon voucher redeeming was easy. Throughout the wax, she was kind and professional. Salon - conveniently located, smelled nice inside, room was clean and tastefully decorated. "Procedure" - I'm so surprised so many people said this was painless. And that NO ONE has mentioned that they use 100% soft wax!! Maybe these Yelp writers don't know the difference? Anyways, it's pretty well known that hard wax is more effective and way easier on your skin. I was soo surprised that the entire job was done with soft wax (ow!) and lots of tweezer use (even more ow!!). I was trying to be cool because she was nice, but ya... ow. Wow. That's all I can say. SO not as bad as everyone said and I feared it might be. A friend of mine took me to see Kashia at Amazing Face today for my very first bikini wax. My friend used to fly to LA for her bikini waxes so I figured she knew what she was doing, and she said she was thrilled to find Kashia because now she doesn't have to fly to LA anymore. Makes the waxing a bit cheaper. And probably as good a recommendation as I'd find anywhere. I'm getting married in a week and wanted a little something special for the honeymoon, so I asked her to take it all off. I'm generally a pretty relaxed person, but I was pretty worried about how much this would hurt. Kashia was fantastic. She worked quickly, talked to me the whole time, which kept me very distracted, and it was over before I knew it, with no tweezing! Oh yeah, and no contortions. She did the front with me laying on my back, just bending one knee and then the other, and then she did the back with me on my stomach. (She did ask me to hold my cheeks apart, but none of the contortions or up on all fours that I've heard about.) She also did my brows, and they look fantastic. She took about the same amount of time on the brows as the bikini wax. While I haven't had any other treatments here, the salon was clean, professional, and friendly, and I wouldn't hesitate to go back, or recommend it to friends. read more

Got a facial and a mani at this salon last Saturday and I was pretty impressed. Nolanne was my esthetician and she gave me an amazing oxygenating facial. She was attentive, to the point and easy to converse with. Her touch was gentle on my face but strong when massaging my shoulders. I have pretty decent skin but have an issue with dryness so Nolanne recommended some great products without being pushy. My manicure was done by Kayleigh who was sweet, gentle and thorough in her approach. She took her time, was relaxed but precise. I came here expecting to have a good experience..but it was just ok at best. They barely have any nail polishes.. and the ones the do have are mostly red or purple.. no variety whatsoever.. I bought a coupon on living social and there were no refunds so i was stuck with it.. i decided to do a french pedicure.. which was $5 extra.. even though less nail polish is used... and for my manicure i did Shellac? which was another $15 extra.. and the only reason i agreed to it is because they had a decent color that i sort of liked...Elizabeth is a very friendly lady but her work is sloppy. my manicure looked very "home made" .. i am no expert at painting nails but i could have done a better job.. it looked sloppy and she did not use enough of the shellac nail polish so there were ares you could see through +1 star for a decent pedicure .. but it did chip about a week later +1 star for foot massage read more

I visited Amazing Face today for the first time, on the strength of their Yelp reviews. My boyfriend wanted to pamper me with a facial and I did a great deal of research on local places before deciding to try Amazing Face. Thank you, Yelpers, because this place is a jewel! I haven't had a facial in 20 years, and had been put off previously because the last one I'd had was more about selling me products than my facial experience. Not only did Mariola *not* push any products, she gave me some samples to try (rather a lot, actually) at no charge! I had a very complete facial, consisting of several phases, and all were handled professionally, comfortably, and with great concern for me throughout. Every step was explained, and Mariola was a caring and lovely presence and added significantly to my enjoyment of the process. My terrifically positive experience began at the Reception desk, and continued during my entire stay- the receptionist and manicurist (sorry I missed your names!) and I chatted before my treatment, and I met Kasia, who I visited with, as well. Mariola felt like an old friend by the time I left- she's really very special. The salon is comfortable and luxe without being pretentious, and my skin feels just fabulous! This was a gift, because I'm not in a financial position to afford this luxury, but if things go as I hope, and I *am* in that position in the new year, I will be adding a monthly facial to my budgeted expenses. If I could give twenty stars I would! I have been going to Amazing face for four years now. It all started when I bought one of those 4-visits for the price of one things some salesmen sold to me. Lame, but this was an exception! First off, it's a woman-owned business! I lve that! And I love Mariola, the owner/esthetician! I can't go to anyone else for my facials because she is so kind, caring, honest, loving, thorough, nurturing...seriously! I wish she was my mom! I always get the full European facial, because it entails all of the scrubs, masks, moisturizing, etc...and the almighty extraction! Don't just get pampered, get something "done" while you're at it! She also just added a lymph massager thing! Try it...it's cool! Kashia (the owner's sister) is a wonderful massuese! She is very much like her sister when it comes to listening and caring for the customer. Fabulous ladies! This is a full service day spa! They do nails/pedicures, too! I've also had my eyelashes tinted here for my wedding (great, you know you're gonna cry anyway!) Prices are on-par with quality spa services, but not your typical Los Gatos/Santana Row pricing...dont' go cheap, go for quality! I simply cannot say enough about Amazing face! This review is only for a manicure/pedicure. Based on that, I definitely won't come back for any other services. Elizabeth was really nice, but her manicure and pedicure was really bad. For the pedicure, she barely scrubbed my feet at all, and she did a bad job trimming the cuticles. My manicure was just bad: she barely touched my cuticles, she didn't do a very good job of filing my nails. How difficult is it to file nails? The worst part, though, is the polish. I asked for natural, so she used a light pink no-brand-name polish. I got the manicure in the early afternoon. At dinner that night, I noticed that the polish was already flaking off in big pieces. It was pretty much gone by the next morning. What kind of manicure doesn't even last 24 hours? I do a better job myself. The nail polish selection was pretty boring, mostly either reds or purples. There's some OPI in there, but the base coat and top coat aren't OPI. My search for a good manicure continues. At least now I know where the worst manicure in the area is located. This is a two-star review only because Elizabeth was really nice. I feel bad writing a bad review, but the service is definitely one-star and should be avoided. read more
