Our first time here. I took my daughter-in-law and 2 grandkids for a night out. Hostess sat a 2 and 4 year old without crayons and coloring pages which was the first thing you see entering the restaurant, all the kids coloring pictures on the wall. Had to go back to the hostess stand to ask for them. My rib eye steak was perfectly cooked and delicious. My daughter in laws steak was beyond well done and not good. My grandsons chicken tenders were raw in the middle and had to be remade. Green beans and broccoli sides were good. Service mediocre, not one empty dish was removed from the table, including starter salad dish and dinner plates. They did apologize for the undercooked chicken and remove the charge. Overall, just didn't get a good vibe and don't know if I'd give it a second chance. read more

My review from 5 years ago came up and the funny thing is, this experience clearly didn't set in my memory because I have zero recollection of going here 5 years ago. However 2 years ago, we started going fairly regularly. The food is amazing. The service is amazing and their cinnamon ice cream is out of this world! If they sold it in gallons, I would buy it BUT it may not make it the 2 hour drive home. We've tried many different things on the menu and have yet to have a bad item. Finally a place that can cook a steak correctly I always order rare and I have never gotten a rare steak until we ate here. Very good steak with very good flavor. Melts right in your mouth. We were in Columbus, IN, with a need for dinner. However, we did have to drive across Columbus IN to get to the location. 1. the fried mushrooms and hore radish-based dip were incredible. 2. The salad (Ceasar) was fresh, and the dressing was spot on 3. OK, so normally, this slot would be the steaks, but instead, we will say the Mashed Potatoes and gravy were awesome!4. Oh, did we mention a grill and steaks? Yup, we had steaks. Cooked to perfection. The option, by the way, of crumbled blue cheese on your steak? Yes, please! We flew into Columbus this afternoon and looked for a place to eat. We chose Amazing Joe's Grill. We were greeted warmly as we entered and were seated quickly. Our waitress, Zoey, arrived in a minute and our drinks were brought. Refills were delivered quickly. We ordered wings with buffalo sauce and they were outstanding. The wings were not soggy as they were crispy with the right amount of heat. Our entrees were brought out. They were filet kabobs and Nawlins pasta bowl. Both entrees were delicious and both of them were eaten in their entirety. Food was great and the service was great. I live about an hour and 10 minutes south and I can guarantee that I will be back with my family. A big shoutout to Zoey! Absolutely great experience. read more

I update my review of Amazing Joe's based on an Amazing turnaround in Service. I always found the food to be very good but Service was lacking. Nick has turned this place around by visiting with the guests and taking time to speak with the patrons. Great job, Nick. My wife and I ate there last night at primetime 7 p.m. The place was pretty full and yet the service was excellent. Nick stopped by a couple of times to check on us. Most people like the steaks and / or the ribs, as do I, but l this time i tried the pork chop with Cajun seasoning. 5/5 stars. My wife had the usual fish plate and she said it also was very good. As far as the lights shining in my face (see prior review) that's still a problem but I solved it by unscrewing the light bulb. The staff and management had no problem with that , and I think found it a bit humurous. I screwed it back in before leaving in case the next guest in that booth wanted to be dining under a flood light!!!. Anyway, I'm happy to have a nice restaurant to visit in Columbus and happy to change my rating to 5 stars. read more

We stopped for the night in Columbus after a disastrous experience at Noblesville Imports. I was not in a very good mood, but we needed to go out somewhere for dinner. We chose Amazing Joe's and I have to say they turned my bad mood completely around! The service was friendly and prompt. The food was delicious. And, though we were a little worried about it being Family Night, it turned out to be quite a special experience. We could see lots of families with small children being visited by a Balloon Man. He was so good with the kids and produced some amazing balloon creations for them to play with and/or wear as hats! My boyfriend and I ate at Amazing Joe's for the first time tonight and we absolutely loved it! Rebecca was our server, and not only was she very sweet, but she was also very attentive. I ordered the chicken kabob meal and for my two sides, a house salad, and mashed potatoes. Our server made it known that everything is made from scratch and we were very pleased! We like to try new places when we go out to eat. So we ended up here. I forgot to take a picture of my husband cajun shrimp Alfredo meal. He said it was amazing. Had great taste. He couldn't eat it all so it ate the rest for lunch the next day. The artichoke and spinach dip and fresh chips where very tasty. It had a little spice to it. Our meal was great. The only thing we didn't like was no alcohol menu was mentioned so we was confused if they sold alcohol or not. Just a reminder you should offer a beverage menu. The only thing I found impressive about Amazing Joe's is the amazing price, It's expensive for what I got, and would have received * a lot more * at the Red Lobster across the parking lot. The manager didn't formally introduce me but just said hi in passing. The food, chicken parm, seemed to try not to be offensive as nothing about it was noteworthy. So far, hands down, our favorite place to have lunch or dinner! We stumbled upon Joe's when we moved to Columbus after our son said the one near Ball State was really good! So glad we tried it! We have not been disappointed yet! They have fantastic steaks, burgers, Cajun pasta, ribs are pretty good too! We can't get enough of the sweet potato fries with caramel dipping sauce, or the warm garlic bread! Their mozzarella sticks and marinara are the best I've had in many years! The onion ring tower is a favorite. The staff is friendly and always so great! Great place for friends night out, date nights or family dinner! Don't let the full parking lot deter you from going! Tons of seating inside and outside and we've never waited more than 15 minutes, even when you couldn't get in the door to the hostess station because they're so packed. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! And here is why LOUD! Around 6:15pm My party of 6 (4 adults and 2 children) were seated after a short 5 minute wait. In a Very busy area. That was so loud the waitress couldn't hear what we were saying and we couldn't hear what the waitress was saying. PRICE VS TASTE! The menu items were priced way too high as far as most restaurant in the area go. We ordered pickles and mozzarella sticks for appetizers they were 9.99 each there was 8 sticks and basically a handful of pickles we felt cheated. After we recieved our appetizers we ordered. I ordered the breaded tenderloin after it was recommended by the waitress my brother got the T-bone steak. Upon receiving our food all I could taste from my tenderloin was grease. No seasoning at all, it was bad. So I tasted my brothers steak, it was also quite bland and tasteless there was not even a seer on it. CHECK PLEASE! The waitress brought our checks at $120+ and we gave her our payment and she left. After at least 15 min of waiting we look around for the waitress and we see her off waiting other tables! We Had to walk over and ask for our cards back. Before we could leave. OVER ALL! Joe may be many things however he is far from amazing if I could award ZERO STARS I would. Pretty much the only place we eat in Columbus, IN. Nick and Chad are great community members who constantly do all they can to give back. Whether it's donating food for the United Way lunch or doing events and catering for non-profits, I will continue to support this local business who is all about the community! Now onto the food and service... BEST RIBS IN TOWN. Better than any of the local smokehouses. Not sure how they do it but their ribs are unreal! You also can't go wrong with any steak from them. Best steaks in town hands down. I'd rather have a sirloin from Joe's than a filet from the other steakhouse in town! Pork chops are killer and the burgers are phenomenal!!! Lately we have been ordering their salads. Their grilled and fried chicken salads are amazing. Salad is always fresh and I think they make their own dressings because they're unlike any other I've ever had. My kid is 3 and the pickiest eater ever. He loves the Mac n cheese, fries and the green beans. He won't eat green beans anywhere else! I've never had bad service at joes. Whether it's Tanya or Kelsey behind the bar or Kayla waiting my table (some of my favorites) you will not have a bad experience.
