Our server was very nice, but when I asked if I could substitute a cup of soup for the salad, she said "yes", not telling me that there was an upcharge of $3.00 to do so. We asked at our hotel for a restaurant & she recommended Big Sky Steak. We were able to be seated immediately, though we had to wait a bit for our drinks. The waitress was very friendly and apologized for the wait. She said they only only had three waitresses to cover tonight. Normal is five. I ordered the buffalo chicken salad, with a different cheese rather than blue cheese. It was very good. The perfect size. The Buffalo chicken was plentiful and tasty. I did ask for some rolls or a cracker and she brought four warm buns with honey butter. Delicious! Hubby ordered the pork chops. They came barbecued with green beans and mashed potatoes. He said everything was good. Service was amazingly quick for being short staffed. Everyone was friendly. A nice quick dinner! read more

Went in on a friday night for a nice dinner and was not super impressed. The salad, rolls, and drinks were great. The steak and prime rib, not so much. Lacked flavor and didn't have a good appetizing look to them. My fiancée got the sirloin and I got the Prime Rib. Both were very chewy (cooked medium rare). My mouth was tired from chewing so much. Wont be back! Ordered the pasta with mushrooms and chicken dish. Pasta and sauce were great, but the chicken there is not right! Besides being way over cooked and dried out, it just tastes so bland. My wife had the asian bowl with chicken and her chicken as well was very bland. The sauce was tasty, and her's was not over cooked like mine, but still had that underlying bland chicken taste. its almost like it is just cheap, fake chicken. This is a really good steakhouse! First off, I loved the atmosphere! It had a romantic, yet family friendly vibe to it. It was super clean, and modern and the decor looked great. Food wise, the menu had a lot to offer and many choices! They give you bread to start and it was a really good roll! The butter was regular butter. We were visiting in town and this steak house was suggested to us for a special family dinner. It's certainly a nice, modern looking restaurant upon pulling in. However I'm skeptical of any establishment that bills itself as 'fine dining' in neon letters. The interior decor has rich dark woods and lots of big tall booths making your dining experience feel cozy and private. Our server was gracious and helpful with the menu and made recommendations. We skipped appetizers knowing salad and entrees were probably going to be plentiful. Everyone got ribeye steaks and I ordered a soup and iceberg wedge salad. Overall the food lacked basic flavor. I desperately wanted to send back the luke warm, bland, gloppy seafood bisque but didn't want to insult my host. The bleu cheese dressing on the salad didn't have the rich, robust house-made flavor typically found at fine dining restaurants. Oddly, the wedge is served with fresh corn on it. Most disappointing was the Angus Ribeye 12oz steaks. Again, completely lacking any flavor. Barely even char cross hatch seared. Don't expect a nice thick steak served here for $38 each. They are thin, skinny cuts. Definitely expected a better steak cooked properly for this price point. Big Sky may be the place for date night appetizers & drinks. Or perhaps lunch is their 'sweet spot'. But my dinner suggestion is to save your hard earned money and go to an Outback or Cody's Roadhouse. read more

Been here several times, and have recommended it to so many people as I enjoy the pork chop & cheesecake, but sadly, after the extremely rude and disrespectful way we were treated, never again. We had a night away from kids and drive 35 minutes to sit in the bar area with a few other adults, but were told there's no room. I look in and see 3 booths open and all of the bar top tables open so I ask why we can't sit at any of those. They said we won't fit at the booth tables, one bar top table is reserved (I have called and asked to do this and was told NO), and the other doesn't have enough chairs. I ask if we can squeeze in at the booth, and she says I guess you can try. We begin squeezing in when my husband notices 5 open bar chairs so he asks if we can just take one from the bar for the open bar top table. The hostess asks the Manager and comes back and says NO because there wouldn't be room to get around the bar top table. Finally, our waitress, who happens to also be the bar Manager, comes over and my husband calmly & kindly asks if she cares if he just pulls a bar chair over and turns the table sideways. She gets very abrasive and snippy and says "well, if it is the only way you are going to be happy, then sure" in the most annoyed, hateful tone and mumbles something as she walks away. My husband proceeds to set it up and I see her go to the bar and clearly talk crap about us to a staff member as she slams things around. I know this job can be stressful, but I am blown away at how this made her so angry with us. I have seen the table turned like that before and there was only a few people in the entire bar area so why unnecessarily stuff a party of 5 into a 4-person booth? Once everyone rolls in and starts ordering tons of drinks and appetizers, she changes her tone a bit. Our table of 5 spent almost $500 in 1.5 hours and we still left her a 20% tip, even with how incredibly rude she was and how unwelcome she made us feel. My fiancé brought me here to celebrate my birthday. The restaurant looks good... nice, dark steak house. We were seated right away on a Friday night around 6PM. We had the Pretzel Bullets for an appetizer. They had no salt but were good. The beer cheese (?) was clearly microwaved. I ordered the Herb-crusted Salomon, with a Caesar Salad and spinach. Unless the "herbs" were pepper... they clearly forgot that part. Actually this was the saddest Salomon I've ever seen. It was just very gray and kind of cut/chunked up. The spinach was bland and little on the bitter side. My fiancé had the Ribeye with sauté mushrooms. He said they were both good! Wait staff was very helpful and served quickly. We had a 20 minute wait to get seated. House salad was a little blan, didn't come with much toppings. Price is about 30% higher than a Texas Roadhouse menu but it is worth it since it is conveniently locates in Greensburg. I've been her two times now. The first time I really was in the mood for a steak Until I saw that they wanted $35 for a strip steak. I had a really good burger for $15 and it was good, the bar tender was really cool and friendly so that helped a lot. The second time I walked up to the hostess stand and she said Hi and I said hello and I was going to sit at the bar, she said Ok "Would you like a menu and silverware than just proceeded to hand it to me instead of Walking me to the bar!!! Our entire meal from the appetizer to our steaks were nothing less than outstanding. Service was amazing! The ambience was great, the restaurant was decorated with pictures and paintings from Montana and the music they played was at the proper level for you to be entertained but not too loud to disturb conversations at the table. Visited on Mother's Day and arrived early out of concern for high volume of people. We were seated in a timely manner as they were busy. However, the dining experience was very unpleasant. First, a third of the menu items were unavailable to order because they ran out of food. We ordered cheese fries as an appetizer and the fries came out soggy. My wife ordered fish and I ordered steak. The fish had very little flavor. My steak came out well done when I ordered it medium. Our server was great and apologetic for the issues that we had, which was greatly appreciated. However, we will not be returning to this restaurant. read more

Went here for Valentines Day. It was well worth the wait....1 hour for a table. The steak and scallops were absolutely perfect! Their puree of parsnips was to die for, veggies were perfectly lightly crisp. The hostess was gracious, Dravon, Fred and Alyssa kept checking on us constantly. Well done! Only two suggestions....have your staff try the food before you are going to present it to the public even a taste tester. Scallops are a type of shellfish, scallions are green onions, just FYI. Lol! Also if the food is going to take a bit of time, offer your delicious bread knots with seasoned butter to people when they sit down. All in all, great adventure! read more

We were really happy with the filet. The stuffed mushrooms were loved by my wife and only slightly by me. Their home made Bleu cheese dressing was not spectacular but OK. I think we are very lucky to have this caliber of restaurant in Greensburg. I realize my comments seem critical, but I am very picky about my food. The filet is top notch. If any comments criticize their filet, they probably ordered it well done. Filets are not good if ordered medium to well done.
