I tried 2 other smaller more personal boutiques before I came here. I had always heard that amazing lash is like a factory: they get you in and out. This is true; the women in the back went incredibly fast. They got my lashes incredibly full in an hour where most other places would've taken two hours. For that reason alone, I'm going back. I went to Mai, a master lash artist or whatever they call it, the more experienced level. I did notice that one eye was slightly less full than the other. Had they given the appointment more time I think my person would've noticed their mistakes. Then again as a master I would think you'd be less prone to mistakes? They said I could come back and have it fixed but my schedule didn't allow it. So now it's been two weeks since my initial visit. I've had A LOT of my lashes fall out. If this were my old place I'd be LIVID but since they got me so full initially I'm not that concerned. I'll mention it to them and see if they can use a stronger glue. All in all I would try this place just because you can get amazing lashes for SO cheap. If you just want your lashes done and don't mind no customer service with the person hovering over your face for an hour, this place will be perfect for you! read more

This started off as a bad review-- but thanks to Glenelle it is now a good one! This was my very first time getting lash extensions and I chose Amazing Lash because of their aggressive first-time pricing and reviews on their website. PROS: 1) I was able to get a same-day appt, which is rare. 2) The facility was clean and my technician was friendly. 3) Their membership program gives $45 refills with a 12-month contract, the 12th refill supposedly FREE -- so I signed up! Why not right? 4) My lashes looked amazing- the tech Liliana took extra time to install a fullness to my lashes-- which respectfully earned her a $20 tip CONS: 1) My lashes began falling out on day 2. I got them done for a bday weekend out of town and wasn't able to come within the 3-day "correction" period. THE FIX: Glenelle called the Corporate office and explained the issue that occurred, and scheduled me for a correction at no charge. I go Thursday so I haven't seen the final, final results but judging from my first experience and excellent customer service-- (not to mention linking up with a senior tech) I imagine things should be PERFECT! I was on hold for 10 mins because I had question about canceling my membership , and wanted to cancel, I was told to come in and sign a document , which I did as told, the very next day a woman by Vanessa called me needing me to sign paper work (which I had done the day before ) she was the only one who knew what to do, when I came In the day prior there were 3 !!! Receptionists they somehow did not file my paper work in the correct spot but Vanessa was able to locate it , I want to give no stars but honestly Vanessa genuinely cared the stars are for her effort! This place is a joke and I don't know how they're still in business. First of all, calling the place is a chore. The receptionst are abrupt and rude. Be prepared to be placed on extensive holds while trying to make an appointment. When you finally do have a few seconds to speak and request an appointment your lecturered about what happens if your late, the cancellation fee and why it's important to arrive on time. After such a lecture I was sure to arrive a few minutes early only to be seen 20 minutes late. The waiting area is small, hot and chaotic. I think there were 4 girls around the reception desk and only 1 seemed to have a clue what was going on and her attitude was stank. My stylist was very nice but didn't speak much English which wasn't good because I'd never work lashes and was hoping for suggestions as far the style and length I should choose. That wasn't gonna happen. When I got home I saw that one eye was clearly thicker then the other so now I have to go back to have this corrected. This place will never see me again. You get what you pay for and I will gladly pay double or triple for quality and customer service from the Lash Co. in River Oaks. read more

With all the talk about eyelash extensions, I just had to try it out for myself. Of course I wasn't going to pay the full price to just try something out. So, when I saw a Bloomspot deal for a full set for $79 rather than the $250 that is regularly charged, I immediately bought one for me and another one for my friend. I couldn't refuse such a great deal! So it did take several attempts to schedule an appointment. I called the location on S. Shepherd first but after leaving several messages and being told they would call me back, but never did, I tried the Voss location and received the same type of service. Finally I got through and scheduled an appointment for a Saturday in September. They were actually able to get me an appointment that same week. They said it's their slow months. I guess the busy months are in the summer when everyone is getting married and going on vacations or what not, still no excuse for giving me the run around each time I called. I arrived at the place and wasn't immediately greeted, but it seemed as if they only had one person at the front desk who was busy on the phone and trying to help another customer at the counter. Finally, I was acknowledged and told them I had a Bloomspot deal and that was that. I filled out the form and before I knew it I was headed towards the back. As I walked back, I looked around and saw so many people getting eyelash extensions. I was trying to scope out what I was in for so when I saw my station area, I just kept thinking, "OK, I'm going to be lying here for awhile...I can do this." I don't remember my technician's name but she seemed friendly. I didn't talk much throughout the process but I could overhear everyone else's conversation which was pretty funny. The process is a bit strange and took me a little getting used to since they are messing with your eyes. It took about an hour or so for the entire set to be done. At the end, when I tried to open my eyes it did sting because some of the glue got in my eyes. My eyes were a watery mess and I couldn't rub them so the technician tried to help me blot my tears away. I looked at the work in the mirror and it took me by surprise at how long the lashes were. I looked like a china doll! The lashes were a bit crooked at places and one of the placement was off that it was poking into my eyes so I immediately got that fixed. My overall feeling of the place is that service was OK. The work that was done seemed decent considering my lashes are still on as I type (it's been over a month now). I would like to do the service again, but in reality, it's not really in my budget...only on special occasions and I don't know if they'll take a Groupon especially if I'm no longer a first time client (darn!). read more

This is was my first time, doing lashes. the overal experience at the place was okay,i bought a groupon to try there services. i took an appoitment,i had my lashes done on a saturday, and the person that did it was fine.my issues was that saturday and sunday my laches started falling out and finding them in the morning in my pillow. i came back on a monday and they redo them for free.the other person was nicer and it seems she did a better job. unfortunatly they didnt last more than a week, they strated falling out very quickly,and by the second week i had almost none.and also they erritated my eyes.and i had less natural lashes after they fall out.cause they are glued to the natural lashes what can create an irritation my overal experience about it : is its a waste of time and money,knowing all the inconveniance arround it: you have to avoid water for more than 48 hours na deven later that you have to be careful on the way washing you face and water. product that you sue on the eyes and face. you have to be careful the way you sleep and dont crash them on the pillow.even not toutching youre eyes can dammage them. so for me, i will never do them again, they are as nice as fake lashes for one use a the stores. read more

I have been coming to this location for over two years just to see my girl Mai. She is a master stylist so it's $10 more but well worth it! She always does an amazing job at making my lashes look so lush and voluminous. My refills usually last 4 weeks. If you are looking for a stylist I highly recommend Mai. Overall, I am very pleased with this amazing lash location. The front receptionists are also very nice. I know that sometimes they can get swamped down with the phones, but if you remember to book your next appointment when you are checking out you shouldn't have to call them. read more

Disappointed. Hang did my first, which Really impressed me. Later, When I tried to make appointment for full set with her, they said "she only does touch ups now". This time I was so happy that I could make appointment with her for the full set. First time she took two hours to finish my full set, But this time it only took her 30 minutes. I can't say she did a bad job, But I am paying the same money for different time effort. I have to say the other place did better job than Amazing Lash Studio, but Amazing Lash Studio cost less. And I trusted Hang. It's just this time she was so quick and careless, there are still some lashes undone! I don't do lashes very often but every time I do, I do it for special occasion. What a bad experience i have with this location. They cancel my app, then answering machine called me, but i missed a call, it was no any message after that.I understand that technician might take a leave, but in this case you call and reschedule appointment with customer on the phone, you DO NOT just turn auto calling machine...Then they have a sign on front desk about tips couple month ago.. they ask you to tip $10 and $5 depends who is you appointment with... guys, this is extortion.. if i like service i will tip... but i am the one who will decide how much.. there is unwritten law 20% tips in restaurant, but people are working for $2.50 per hour there...This is ridiculous..and quality of service and lashes are not that good. I purchased a Groupon coupon a few months ago and decided to give fake lashes a try. Since I was a lash virgin, I really didn't know what to expect. The receptionist isn't exactly friendly, but after reading some of the reviews, I was already prepared for this. The salon was pretty nice. It's dark, with small, but comfortable rooms for each stylist and client. While getting your eyes taped shut isn't the most comfortable experience, it's easy to drift off to sleep with the soothing music. My lash stylist was extremely sweet and initially, I thought my "cute" lashes looked pretty good. However, upon closer examination, I had clumps (like heavy mascara blobs) at the base of my lashes. When I asked the stylist about it, she mentioned it was supposed to look that way. Um, OK. For a few days, I actually thought it was supposed to look clumpy. Silly me. I compared my set to my friends' lashes and realized, extensions aren't suposed to look like spidery mascara. A good stylist applies minimal glue integrating your lash with the extension. Lesson learned. Unfortunately, my lashes lasted about a week and I chose to go elsewhere to get them fixed. It was extremely painful to get the clumps out, especially since some of the glue was attached to several lashes. Another lesson learned, one extension per lash! Oh my, so many lessons learned, but needless to say, I won't be returning. read more

My technician was Iris. I fell asleep during the procedure, it was so relaxing. This was my first time ever getting eyelash extensions. Summer at the front desk helped me pick out a style (thick, cute, size 11). The experience was lovely and the location is very clean. You get your own room and lie down with soothing music playing. Result: fabulous. I have "monolid" so I was very worried it wouldn't look good for my face. Iris was so nice. Pictures I posted is me with no makeup, first day home with my lashes. I took a bath on the first night trying to not get my lashes wet and they still look fantastic. Also, I have VERY sensitive skin (can't use nutrogena products on my face even..) and I don't have any splotching or red eyes after the procedure. read more

Okay I've been going here for over a year now; Since it opened actually. The first time it will take you a few days to get adjusted to your lashes. However, once you go regularly you need to make sure you are set up with the right person. Not every stylist is good there. I go to Ashley now every time & I am never disappointed. She listens & does exactly what I want and makes me feel very comfortable & look forward to going each month. It is seriously like a relaxing therapy session. However, the front staff is always changing and not the most hospitable now. If you call ANYTIME expect to be on hold for ATLEAST 5 minutes. The front desk is a cluster mess and never running smoothly. To be completely honest if it wasn't for Ashley I would not go anymore. People always ask me about my lashes and tell me how gorgeous they are and ask where I get them. However, I tell them the same thing, if you go make sure you ask for Ashley or another elite stylist & do not expect the front desk service to be great! read more

I've been a loyal customer with Carol here for about 2 years. She is the best! So nice and gentle. She makes every experience very comfortable and enjoyable. Carol is very meticulous and careful to what she does. She makes sure my lashes turn out perfectly the way I want. Because the lashes are so small, it's hard to do, but she does it so well. Never missing a spot. Also, there is no burning and each time she does it, it last almost for 4 weeks! Carol also has great customer service. She is very friendly and fun to converse with. It HURTS me to write a bad review because I like to support local businesses. I have been wanting to try lashes for over a year. Amazing lashes was promoting a full set for $79, so I booked it. I had read the reviews before I came so I came prepared with my iPod so I could listen to music during the treatment. I'll start with the staff. I was somewhat turned off my the front office help. They appeared unprofessional and SLOPPY in appearance. I was surprised they weren't wearing company uniforms of some sort. I had to wait about 15 minutes which was no issue for me, and once in the treatment area, my stylist explained the procedure. I explained to the stylist that I DID NOT want super long lashes. I am a mature woman (young 40's) and work in a business setting. I wanted fuller lashes rather than long and sexy. She gave me 9,10, and 11's in a 'natural style'. It really was not the right style for me, but all they have on the walls are "cartoon" type photo of lashes to choose from rather than photos of lashes on a model. As the process started, my eyes immediately starting watering from the glue. I left with very RED eyes. I assumed this was to be expected for a first visit. I followed their CARE instructions carefully. The next day, I lost big clumps of lashes. After calling and being placed on hold for 37 min (yep...37 mins), they scheduled me to come in for a touch up. When I showed up...again, the staff looked unkempt. After only 1.5 weeks, I was shocked at the volume of lashes that had fallen out! I cancelled my 2 week refill appointment and went to see another lash stylist (Wink & Blossom) for a refill. The first thing she noticed was the clumps of glue on my lashes, and tried very hard to separate my lashes without pulling them out due to the clumps. She was somewhat successful, but told me to expect another clump to fall out due to the way Amazing Lashes adhered my lashes. (too much glue caused my lashes to clump together). Wink and Blossom have won my business. Professional staff, very private CLEAN rooms. No irritation or watering eyes. Excellent stylist. I will post a separate review about them later. I would suggest bringing a photo of the lashes you want so you can get the exact look you want. Amazing Lashes could dramatically improve their business with the right management team, staffing, and training. I hope they get their act together. Its a great concept. read more

I hv been going to amazing lash studio for 3 yrs. I had to switch locations because my technician at the Gessner location left. The Voss location, technicians are so inconsistent with ther work. You go on a good day, ur lashes are beautiful but god forbid if u go on a day the technician are tired or don't want to be ther ur lashes won't las a wk. I hv had many times like that since I been at the voss location. I hv complaint several times about not being happy with outcome of my lashes. Too much glue, to thick eye lashes, not giving me what I ask for ( I say 11/12 lashes I'll get 13) lashes falling out within a wk. The technicians at that location need to really work on customer service skills. They charge extra money for a MASTER TECHNICIAN, FOR WHAT THE WORK IS NO DIFFERENT FROM THE OTHER TECHNICIANS. I have been going to the Sugar Land Amazing Lash Studio for about 6 months. At first, it was great. My lashes lasted about 2 1/2 weeks and that was fine. For the last couple of months, my lashes have been coming out at an alarming rate and I am wondering if they are using different glue. I was told that i now have to have a "full set" after less than two weeks. This is unacceptable. I have emailed the company but have not received a response. I will say that the manager of the store has tried to figure out what is going on with my eyelashes, but she does not have an answer. I feel like they are not telling me the entire story. As a member, I am not going to pay for a full set of extensions twice a month. Hopefully, the company will respond to my email soon. Oh, and they recommended the lash coating. So, I paid $40 for this product and it is not helping AT ALL. read more

My eye lash extensions look great but be careful of which technician you get. Brittany put on my initial set and used too much glue. Apparently she has a history of applying too much but I wasn't aware of that until I had called the studio a week after the application to complain about irritation from the lashes. I was able to schedule a fix up with another technician, Tiffany, and she did a great job. She was able to de-clump (un-clump?) the lashes with too much glue and even did a refill for no charge. She even walked me through the steps of lash application which made me feel comfortable. read more

I'm not the type to wear fake eyelashes, but have been wanting to try it out. When a discounted deal for eyelash extensions popped up, I grabbed a hold of it and decided to give it a shot. First of all, it was hard to book an appointment. Either the call went to voice mail or the receptionist kept me on hold for more than 5 minutes, so I hung up. Two days before my appointment, I received a recorded message call and almost hung up thinking it was a telemarketer. It ended up being a message to confirm my appointment. One that I had to push a number to confirm. The day before I went in, I decided to research their website and found out what I should do before going into my appointment. It was recommended that I shower prior to the appointment, remove eye make up using a non-oily makeup remover, etc. The day of the appointment, I arrived on time and end up waiting over 30 minutes. The lobby was pretty stark looking, it was kind of dark with little or only natural light streaming in, and the receptionist was talking on the phone to an angry potential customer. One of the company's policies is to use a credit card number to hold the reservation, which angers some people. Finally, when I get called in, I'm led to this dim room without doors. The eyelash person asked me what kind of look I wanted and I decided on the "glam" look. The process was pretty painless. The music made me want to fall asleep, however the customer in another room was quite loud and I knew what she did for a living, where she lived, and more things I could care less about by the end of her session. My eyelash person was a little rude...had a "told you so" kind of attitude. Overall, she did do a good job and I liked my eyelashes. They looked really natural and made me look more awake. Also, they don't feel any different from my usual lashes. Taking care of the lash extensions require maintenance. You can't get them wet for 48 hours. The receptionist said to shower with sunglasses. You have to wash two-thirds of your lashes once or twice daily with Dial Foaming hand wash... my eyes sting from this. Then you need to comb it with a clean/product free mascara wand.... one that you can buy or find at a makeup counter that has disposable tester wands. You can't use oil-based products and waterproof products on your eyes. Overall, I did like the lash extension, but this may not be for everyone since it does require a bit of maintenance and is expensive. Refills are suggested every 2 to 4 weeks with a cost of $35 to $55. Also, the initial process took over 2 and a half hours. read more

Recently, I called to schedule a mini refill and was given an appointment. I was travelling internationally and wanted my lashes to look good since I had some excessive fall out since my last refill and was due for another refill when I returned. Was not told when I scheduled that appointment that it would be for a full refill and that a mini wasn't possible. So when I arrived for my appointment, I waited ten minutes past my appointment time, wasting precious lunch break time, before being told that it would not be possible due to policy. Seems a bit ridiculous that they didn't inform me when I scheduled the appointment in the first place since they obviously have my account information and can see when I was last in. Customer service isn't the name of the game here. Cancelled my membership and will not be back. read more

I go to Hang. She is amazingly fast & highly talented. She knows lashes & how to take care of them so that they last. Always wash w/ antibacterial hand soap, try not to splash your face w/ water when washing & use a hair dryer to dry them if they do get wet.
