After my first negative review, I received a call from the manager who apologized profusely and said that my contract would not be auto-renewed after it expired in September. Well, guess what? I was charged in October and November! When I called to question this, I was told the manager wasn't there (she never is) and that I was on a month-to-month until I came in and signed their form. This even though they acknowledged in August that my contract was up in September and would not be auto-renewed! I am furious! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY AT THIS LOCATION! You will be sorry! Update 12-2: Just received a call from Kelly, the owner, who said she would make sure the auto-renew was cancelled and would refund the 2 months of unauthorized charges. I'm not holding my breath but if this does happen, I will update this review to that effect. It should NOT be this difficult or take this long to resolve a problem! I stopped in this studio because I had read good reViews about it. Me thinks that the ones writing Rotherham reviews are either employees of this business or are being paid to write them. My own experience was anything but pleasant. I opted not to sign a contract and I made glad now that I didn't sign. The gal at the front desk told me that I would be seeing one of their top lash experts. This fellow asked me what kind of lashes I wanted and I told him that I wanted very natural looking. When he got done and handed me a mirror I couldn't believe what I saw. The lashes were placed so thick on my own lashes that it looked like I had pit on 3 or 4 layers of false lashes. Looked terrible! I walked out and told the manager that I wasn't happy at all and all she offered me was half off the lashes...but I would still be required to pay to have the lashes removed. A fairly costly lesson for me. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. Terrible technicians and very poor customer service. read more

*They should really should be required to warn you about what could happen to your eyes when you get this done.* The receptionists were extremely friendly and helpful at check in and check out! Rashanda, was fantastic! She was very helpful with some of the concerns I had prior to having my lashes applied. She was very knowledgeable and friendly throughout my entire experience. However, I ended up having an allergic reaction. I was told by the receptionists that if I had any problems that I could come back within 72 hours and I would be credited or it would be fixed. I came back within the first 24 with swollen, itchy, irritated eyes. When I asked about a refund they told me I could not have one. I asked about their 72 hour policy that had been mentioned to me the day prior, she said it was only for corrections. Isn't getting your lashes removed a "correction"? I wish that would have been made clearer. I feel I should have at least gotten 1/2 the money back. I didn't even have my lashes on for a full day. When they were being removed I was informed by the technician that their glue has formaldehyde in it! A lot of people are allergic to it, and it's very hard on your skin because it's toxic. No wonder my eyes had such a bad reaction, it is known to be a human carcinogen! NEVER AGAIN! This needs to be disclosed to clients prior to having this done!!! The most troubling part is that prior to having my lashes done, they told me they use a medical grade glue. Clearly this was not the case. The skin on and around my eyes is peeling off. I'm addicted to my falsies but I was curious about how eyelash extensions would be and I'm glad to experience my first time with them! They have 4 different styles to choose from. I picked the 'cute' look and told her I wanted my lashes long but not too long and it came out perfectly. They weren't lying when they say it takes about 2 hours though and I'm pretty sure I fell asleep and started snoring lol.. but the staff is friendly and helpful when you have any questions. I have been going to this location for several months now. However I felt a must to make a review after my visit yesterday. "Tu" did my refill on 1/8/19. I'd have to say that for the first time I felt like I got a true "refill"!!! Now she didnt say what she was doing but I heard and felt what she was doing. I know she even took out some of the badly looking lashes and replaced them. Majority of the time they leave those in and just add new ones (at all locations) but she was great and I felt that she really put a big effort to make them perfect. Kelley Vu The owner is just terrible. She is completely unorganized and takes her months just to get ahold of you. She will charge you for credit you haven't used in months because THEY forgot to completely cancel the membership. I left because they DESTROYED MY LASHES... after just a few refills they ladies said there weren't many lashes to attach to anymore... and when I got them all taken off it was a 2 hour OPERATION! Of blood sweat and tears. A lady named Nguyen is the one who took them off and she has never seen so much of a mess!!! My lashes were glued together like ever 3 lashes were stuck together and they had to SEPARATE THEM for over 2 hours !!! To the point the general manager Chris ( at the time ) drove up there too look at my eyes and told me maybe I was having an allergic reaction and to cancel me... when in reality I was just poorly taken care of... neglected... they would take 25 minutes of me doing a refill this is not a professional place... I'm already having to get a lawyer involved just to be able to get back the 13 monthly payments they have taken out... and the worst part about it it's like they are forcing me to use my unused credits and got the trauma of having these people who have NO experience with lashes or basically waist all that money. on top of all these craziness the business owner is actually has a strong reputation OUT of work and is very known..... She is FAR from professional especially to be the owner of this place she carries herself with no class... she has publicly posted pictures on Snapchat of clients getting there eyelashes down , and these aren't very nice snapchats... she will post people who look like the just woke up that morning and blindly put on some clothes.... she has posted pictures with clients legs open while they are lying on the massage table getting lashes put on.. it's utterly disgusting of someone with this much authority and power to carry themselves the way she does... there are plenty of reviews that have the pictures attached to them so I don't need to do that... she shouldn't scamming everyone out of their money the way she does it's wrong karma will come around. It's one thing to make sure you clients are keeping up with payments, but it's another to be sucking it out of clients that had a disaster experience with individual extensions to the point there eye lids were swollen shut. P.S if you need to talk to anyone to do about your accountability about your account LeAnna is the one to talk to she actually gives you the time and day and is VERY understanding. Kelley is uncivil and discourteous she will not even give you a minute of her time without making you feel like your taking up her time. She's very impolite when she speaks to you. read more

My very first eyelash extensions experience! I scheduled my appt online and got a call from Jennifer, she sounded very sweet. There are plenty of parking around the complex. Kelley was my eyelash tech and she made me feel safe, comfortable, and educated me a lot about the process and after care for eyelash extensions. Since it was my 1st time, I didn't know what to get. She helped with choosing the Sexy style and I left it up to her to pick which lengths. It took about an hour and a half to complete my full set of lashes. I love how it looks on my eyes. The very next day, Jennifer called me to check up on my lashes. I thought that was very good customer service. Will come back again for a refill. read more

Overall the service was excellent. When I first walked in,  I was greeted kindly by the receptionist. Because this is my first time getting eyelash extension, the receptionist slowly explained to me the procedures and the different styles that they offer. The entire procedure took about 2 hours and half to be completely. The stylist was very attentive to my eyelashes and talked to me the entire time. The style that I got was the sexy which came out to be good but it wasn't as full and dramatic as I expected. read more

I will say this place deserves more stars based on my recent experiences. The front staff is always welcoming and on the grind (constantly answering phones, checking out customers, etc). I've been to many other studios where most of the time the front desk staff are always chatting or not friendly when you walk through the doors but I always appreciate the bright smiles once I arrive to this studio. Very clean and well kept. I have had the pleasure of working with Jennifer and highly recommend her. I easily fall asleep throughout the appointment because that is simply how gentle she is. Not only was I was able to get a same day appointment for a full set, but when I got there they were really quick and efficient and even took the time to consult me on all the different lash styles.Then, (after much indecisiveness w choosing my style bc they were all so pretty) I got to go back right away where I laid back, closed my eyes, listened to classical music and before I knew it 1h was up and I had a full set of AMAZING lashes. I came to this studio for the first time strictly because of the convenience in location to my house. Lesson learned never switch your lash person for personal convenience. I had a few leftover lashes from my last service with a different stylist. She said they wouldnt work on me because I had on lashes from a different studio. So they wanted to charge me for removal and a new set but they dont have time right now so they'll have to charge me for the time because on top of that I brought a kid and its common sense. Are they freaking kidding me??? My "kid" is my 15 year old daughter she doesnt need you to watch her!!! I absolutely loved getting my eyelashes done today. From the start, when I walked in I was greeted by, Kara. She is so nice and was helpful. She helped me pick out the lashes that best suited me. I ended up with the gorgeous in medium length. My lash stylist was, Annie. She was the best. She kept up conversation with my so it was awkward or boring for me, since you're laying down for 2 hours. The worst part for me, was the taping of the bottom lashes. Only because I'm terrified of things near my eyes. But after that was over and the actual process of applying the lashes started, it was easy and peaceful for me. I was not uncomfortable at all. I really wasn't sure about getting my lashes done. However, now that i did get them done, I'm in love. The technician was fabulous and patient with me , she helped me pick my length. She made me feel very comfortable. Only down fall was when I made my reservation, I guess it was because it was closing time when I did walk in 6:45pm. I tried to email my reservation however I was never given a call or anything to confirm my reservation. When I did go the receptionist was not very welcoming and it seemed like I was bothering her. I did get my reservation and her only response to my request online was that 'if we have availability, we will call you'. Which seemed sort of a cop out for not doing her job. The girls at the front desk don't seems to know the correct answer to questions being asked and they are rude. They don't care about the customers; they only care about the money. The last 2 times I have been there I left with terrible eye pain and redness. I was just there on Saturday and within a few hours my eyelids started swelling and the next morning my eyelids were very swollen and I was pulling glue out of my eyes and now two days later my eyes are still swollen red and itchy. I'm very aggravated at this whole situation. Within a few hrs of getting my lashes done some were falling out. I thought "okay maybe the glue needs to settle". I followed the instructions that we're giving to me and still my lashes are crazy shedding. It hasn't even been a full week and half of all my lashes are gone. I'm so confused because for that type of money I was hoping it would last at least a week. I would have done better going to a hood spot paying $10 for some strips and had them for one day. I'm mad because I was really looking forward to coming back because I love lash extensions they are weightless and natural looking but I don't have that kinda money to spend and be disappointed. I wanted a cat eye and there is no definition from the short to flare look. Now everyone was nice and professional and I appreciate that but my final look and the shedding hurt me to my heart. I will NEVER get my lashes done at Amazing Lash. I called to reschedule after running a race and unable to physically move. They wanted to charge me to move my appointment. I spoke to Jessie who was so rude and has horrible customer service skills. I told her to go ahead and charge me and she hung up on me. If their customer skills are this bad, I would hate to see what their work is like. It was worth the $50 "rescheduling fee", to not deal with these people.
