First I want to say that I was a loyal ALS Houston member for almost 2 years all total. But after my last experience, I am done. Long story ahead. I started out a Portofino, in the Woodlands. After a small hiccup with finding a good fit for a stylist, I was beyond happy. I went from single lashes to 3D, kept my lashes well maintained, joined the membership, then the "twice as amazing" membership, and was happy. In Feb of this year, my family relocated to the Heights area, so I tried Sawyer Heights. I started out with a Master, which is what I was doing at Portofino. I was thrilled with my stylist. I saw her from Feb-April without complaint, then took a break for extended travel. I came back in July to start up again, un-paused my membership, saw my prior stylist (master) and was happy once again. Beautiful, full, clean lashes. I was informed my stylist was leaving (she told me herself) but since I was locked into a pretty expensive membership, I figured I would try another Master at SH. I was terribly disappointed. The amount of glue was ridiculous and I had lash loss after about 4 days. So I tried another stylist recommended to me. No good. Then another master.. Today I went to see that previous master that left at another lash studio. My lashes were covered in globs of thick glue. Some were broken, I have missing spaces, and overall, my "volumes" were a terrible mess. This was all stuff I really could not see myself. She was able to make my lashes clean and neat again. But I will not be returning to Amazing lash. I will say that the staff at Sawyer are very professional. I was always treated with respect. I was always given information about pricing. I was always able to get an appointment. I love having extensions, and take good care of them. Maybe I should have looked more carefully at the roots of my lashes, or maybe taken more breaks, I don't know. But the consistency is not there. I think the staff is rushed and overworked. Although the lashes looked great and my beautician, Ann, was great, this business's subscription model is predatory. Once you sign up on their monthly subscription, you can't cancel without incurring fees for one add'l month. Then, even with written dr's confirmation requiring me to discontinue use, I'm told that removal of my lashes will be $30 (10 min), I forfeit the remaining $29 of my monthly $59 fee, plus I am obligated to freeze my account vs canceling. That's essentially an $88 donation that I make to them because I have eye inflammation. #BadBusiness for us in the Heights. read more

This was my first time trying lashes and I felt so comfortable because the ladies at the reception desk were so sweet and professional! After some trouble finding an appointment that fit my busy schedule, they had to reschedule me. The only appointment that fit my schedule was with a master stylist and they waved the additional charge just for the inconvenience. My lashes came out perfect! I got the style sexy size 14 and she made them look perfectly full without them looking crowded. Great experience, definitely coming back! read more

No stars if I could I was a client at the heights location on Taylor Street. I called them said I was sick an wanted to suspend services I was told I needed to come in an terminate my contract. Hello if I'm too sick to go to work duh I'm too sick to come in to a lash place an cancel a contract. The lady was rude so I canceled my own contract mind you I had three consecutive payments come out of my account and because I stopped paying the manager says I was in default so my money is just gone . She's a thief there's nowhere that says this they are very unprofessional. An I feel the reason for this is because I was already prior going to a different amazing lash where everyone there has a great friendly attitude. I got my refill with Mariah on Sunday, and she did so great! She was really sweet and made me feel super comfortable, even though my eyes were twitching a lot. I was a little hesitant to try someone different since the girl I usually go to is out of town, but I'm glad I did. I highly recommend getting your lashes done by her! read more

Duyen ABSOLUTELY deserves 5 stars. She is amazing, quick, consistently does a good job and I feel like when I get my lashes done with her, they last a lot longer. She is careful and does her job VERY well. My lashes always look great, I always get compliments (and people ask if they are realm bc they look very natural) and I have become a lash addict !!! I recommend her to anyone, she the best there (I wish others were taught her method so we could have some alternatives when she is booked up) The place itself deserves 2 stars, hence rating. They have a rule where if you are late, you lose your appointment and they charge you, which makes complete sense! However, they have cancelled on me several times, very last minute (once I even showed up and they told me they couldn't take me) and were even late to opening (my appointment was at 930, they opened at 1030), and all we get is an apology. I also feel like the girls at the front desk could care less about scheduling you when you call - they always just say they are booked up without giving you any options. That being said, I think they need a manager and someone to fix the place - but Duyen is amazing and I can't stop going to see her! Wish the place was better but Duyen makes it worth it! read more

Horrible experience ! Well for starters it was my birthday week ! So got my lashes done here , first timer with AMAZING LASH STUDIO . Booked my appointment two days early and so the very next day I wake up with lashes falling out so I call and they say they can get me in to come at 615 so I'm there on time & while sitting in my car I receive a call from a lash tech that they have to reschedule for another time which the next day is my birthday so I go on my birthday as soon as they open and nobody was there but the receptionist and she had no idea what I was talking about yet the tech that rescheduled me wasn't even coming in . I request refund and to have management information and was told no refunds and they would fix the promlem but for a fee since it would be past their 3 day policy ! Never going back read more

I've gone to many locations, but drive farther because of Kimmy. She is the absolute best and my lashes last so much longer and she is a total pro. If you're going to this location I definitely recommend her! They also are very clean and unlike a few other locations have tea, crackers and mints. It's a small, but smart idea since you don't want to go into an appointment with a growling stomach if you haven't eaten! read more

The location was nice and the girl at the front today desk was very nice. My appointment was at 10:50am on 5-2-17. was a little skeptical based on reviews, but my experience was positive. my stylist, jenny, helped me pick a good length for me (13). i went with gorgeous (long lashes around the entire eye) and let her know i was worried because last time i got extensions they weighed down my eye and tore out my natural lash. the lashes she did are lightweight, but still have the dramatic impact i was wanting. overall, recommend, especially with their membership because the price is very competitive compared to other salons. read more

I got my lashes done at this location a week ago for my destination wedding (middle of nowhere west Texas, underground in a cave where there is 0 cell reception) . Literally the day I departed for the weekend my lashes on the left eye started shedding off. It was almost noticeably different by the wedding but luckily they mostly stayed on. Picture is of 1 week of wear (a real 'A clockwork orange' vibe). I've had a membership here in the past because the location is convenient, but I cancelled it because of the price and inconsistency of the application quality. When I called and asked if I could come in and just get the rest removed - the girl who answered the phone gave me the worst customer service, said I should have called within the 3 day service date- and it would be $40 to remove the rest. Needless to say I won't be coming back here. All they care about is about providing a shoddy service and then charging criminal rates. read more

My cousin and I sat there waiting for our appointments and we heard for 40 min the ladies complain about a customer that had just called...REALLY?? Just two young idiots babbling on...then one of the lash technicians came out and joined in the conversation. I and my cousin NEVER went back to that location. We tried Baybrook, WOW what a difference, those ladies in the heights need to take some customer service classes along with etiquette classes or get retrained from Baybrook. This place has come to a new low of customer service that I have ever experienced. The new manager Clarise has not made things better. Because of their cheaper prices they think they can jerk you around and provide incompetent service. The final incident... started when my go-to tech left, Kim. The new person that they placed me with (Jr stylist) made my lashes twisted, heavy and she used so much glue that my eye was half way shut. Another stylist tried to fix it but by the time I got home, my lashes looked less than mediocre than what I'm use to. I decided to book an appt to just get a full set and pay the extra money for it. When I booked my appt, I explained the situation and she told me the cost would be $79. When I arrived to my appt, the tech relayed to me that she would have to charge an extra $30 to remove some lashes. Really? I wouldn't have to do a new set if their jr stylist was competent enough! When she called the manager to see what she can do, I explained that I was never told of this charge and shouldn't have to pay extra cost. The manager Clarice through the phone says "that is the cost of doing business!" Well, Clarice what about being a manager and train your receptionists and techs appropriately so that your customers aren't surprised and it doesn't looks like you're nickel and dime them at the time of the appt. Pro-tip: CONFIRM WHAT PRICE YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY BEFORE GOING IN AND GETTING THEM DONE. I had called to reschedule what was supposed to be my "second intro"(still supposed to be $79.99) because I couldn't make it in from work on time. I rescheduled for a Saturday no problem, and the only option was with the "master" person, so it was going to be an extra $30. I still had no problem, price-wise, since all along I just wanted to make sure I wouldn't walk out with a red, glassy left eye like I did the first time. I went through my appointment just fine, and got it all done. When I got to the counter, the girl hesitantly said to me "It's gonna be $285 today." I said I was told it would still be $79.99 and the $30 fee and that's why I was fine with going through with the appointment or else I wouldn't have. She did the math for me(I've also never seen the price of $250 alone listed anywhere) as if it wasn't obvious, then I said whoever I spoke with said I could have the intro price a second time. She said it was only going to be that price if I signed up with the membership. After saying this, both her and her coworker behind the counter just stared as if they somehow didn't have the option to even let me the membership prices or anything. The expressions on their faces were completely closed off to that idea, just waiting on me to get out my money, straight up. As if I was being forced to pay this much for whatever reason(my young face does give me trouble with things like this, so I'm sure they think they really GOT a 16 year old for her money, even though I'm 24.). On top of that, she had the nerve to ask me if I wanted to leave a tip, with another pressuring look on her face. My lashes are just okay(not as noticeable or long as I was trying to choose) and my eyes didn't suffer this time. It's true, they make appointments with you and can easily cancel it a few hours later. This happened to me and I had to wait nearly a week to get in. They scheduled me with a "master" and didn't inform me that it's an additional charge. This was the one thing that irritated me the most but they were accommodating about it after I told them I was unaware. Prices nearly doubled on my second trip back (3 weeks out) for a refill. Duyen did my first set and my refill and she does do a really good job. She's quick! I was pretty happy with both visits. Well, I was happy after my first visit with Ashley. This time when I got there I was told Ashley was not in and they put me with someone else. (I prefer not to mention her name) Once she was done my eyes were so red and in pain. I figured it would go away. That night my lashes just didn't feel right my eyes were itching and itching. I then called and talked to Cassidy and was told manager Shay was gone but she would text her and have her call me. 5-6 days later I'm still waiting and my lashes are still bothering me. I called again this morning talked to Cindy. She stated Shay was not in and would have her call me. I explained I already left message last week & no call was ever received. She stated Shay is working on the messages and will call me back. Told her it should not take more than 5 days to call me back. So, as of today not sure if I will go back. The "studio director" won't care why even if you are a very loyal customer who hasn't ever missed an appointment before. She will also hang up on you if she doesn't like what she hears. If you want quick quality lashes, I would recommend them. The customer service at the front desk was exceptional. The lash tech however was not the most confident. I asked her a few questions that she didn't answer. She just stated that she would do them and they would look nice. However, my eyes did start to burn a few times and when I let the tech know she immediately apologized and put a fan on while she worked. It has currently been a week and only 3 lashes have fallen out. They're super secure compared to other times I have received extensions elsewhere. I've been getting my extensions here for over a year. Other than the front desk staff not really being helpful, I love this place. I highly recommend anyone getting their lashes done here to pay the extra $10 for the expert stylist. My first few visits were hit or miss until I found out some stylists were more experienced than others. Liliana is an expert stylist here and totally worth the extra $. Over a year and she's been awesome every time! I do want to point out that the front desk staff can be rude and again, not helpful or friendly. I only go to this location for Liliana. Every single time I have been here, the Stylist has been at least 15-20min late. In addition, they call, email, etc., at least three times to make sure that the customer is not late. So obviously, when they do get to the clients they are frazzled and in a hurry. In addition, the rooms are not clean or well cared for. It's also fairly expensive. I tried booking with other masters but after them calling & canceling my appointment several times last minute I finally left the location . Recently I went back and their "best" master stylist did my lashes . After 7 days I desperately needed a refill and they of course couldn't get me in and wouldn't give me a discount for the poor job . Very disappointed in this location & if you want what you pay for I suggest going elsewhere for lashes that last . Unskilled staff & not worth your money or time. Well.. I probably would have left a good review if they were able to even see me. I wanted to try this place instead of my usual lash place because of the introductory special. So I scheduled my appointment a couple days in advance. I got a phone call the day of the appointment saying that the stylist was out sick and that I had to reschedule for another day. Then I got another call saying they would see me for the same time but a different specialist that would be $20 more than before. I was reluctant but I had no other choice since I am leaving out of town the very next day. So I showed up, and as I was checking in they informed me that the specialist had left an hour before. I feel awful and I obviously can't schedule with my regular place so last minute.
