Today was my first time going to this place and it was absolutely really nice. From walking in to coming out the staff was very professional and made sure everything went smooth. My lash tech was Julie and she was very welcoming and did a fantastic job on my lashes. As I entered she asked what type of look I was looking for and not knowing what I was looking for besides something natural and not so ghetto-ish per say. Got here and was told they won't take me because my appointment was 3:40. Let them listen to the voicemail that says 3:50. Still won't take me. It is LABOR DAY WEEKEND, I planned this ON PURPOSE for a trip. They could care less. I'm infuriated. UPDATE: the owner came in and handled the situation very well. Bad business practices! They change your stylist without notice. They had a corporate shut down in December and didn't bother to reschedule appointments or even give notice that they would be closed. They scheduled my appointment on December 24th...Mind you, THEY scheduled it that day. When they re-opened they said I "missed" my appointment! When I pointed out they did not exist that day - literally they were not listed as a site, the girl then said "well we would have been closed on the 24th since it's the day before Christmas". That's fine, then don't schedule clients on a day your closed. If you decided later to be closed, change the appointment...it's that simple! Now they are trying to charge my credit card for two months even though I've had to go to a new location and pay full price. No apology, no attempt to make things right! read more

I never even write reviews, but I just feel like I need to warn people to not make the same mistake I did. ALS is the worst. I went to get my lashes done once after a friend told me about them. The receptionist was in training, and told me that if I wanted to get them filled, I could just sign up for a MONTH-TO-MONTH contract which could be cancelled anytime, and it'd be cheaper for fills. So I signed up, even right before asking her if she was sure this was month to month? She said yes. There was another lady behind me acting pretty impatient, so I felt like I just needed to hurry and sign it. The lashes ended up really bothering my eyes and constantly burned, so I had them taken off. I said I wanted to cancel my membership only for them to tell me I signed up for a year and the only way I could cancel is if I moved or if I had a doctor's note. I explained to them how the girl told me it was month-to-month and they didn't care. I told them I was a teacher and there was no way I could afford $45.99 a month and that I would never have signed up for something that expensive for a year. They didn't care. The receptionist said at the end of my contract time (March) the money would stop being pulled from my account. I asked to speak with a manager, they said she wasn't available. I emailed the manager with no reply. Then I called a different store and they also said a manager wasn't available. They said I could email her, and when I did, still no reply. I ended up paying $45.99 for an entire year and never even got lashes. $551 down the drain. Then, March rolled around... Finally the end of my contract!! Well, 2 months later in May I just saw on my bank statement that I've still been charged $45.99 for April and May!!!! after I just dealt with this for a year, I was still being charged. I called and the receptionist and she said I had to give a 30 days notice to cancel my membership. So now I'll be paying for 3 extra months. I ended up paying Amazing Lash Studio $689.85 of the course of 15 months and I got lash extensions 1 time. Sickening. This place is a scam. Read EVERYTHING before you sign it if you go there, and have multiple people explain to you what you're signing. But honestly, just pick a different eyelash place. I bought a Groupon for a full set of lashes, and they were pretty, so I came back for a refill. This place is getting one star because I had a horrible experience with customer service each time. The first time, when I was ready to leave and tried to redeem my Groupon, the receptionist was clueless on how to use it, and the manager was rude to her and to me when I just wanted to get out of here. When I came back for a refill, I made an appointment online for a 9:00 appointment. When I showed up on time for my 9:00 appointment, the receptionist (Amanda) was rude and said "We have to call to confirm your appointment. We're full today and you'll have to wait until 9:30 to see if someone doesn't show up." I asked her if she could see the other locations' availability on her computer and she rudely said, "You'll just have to call them." I had her call them and no one has a 9:30 slot available. So, I still have a set of wonky lashes that need a refill because this place doesn't have their act together. I guess I'll have to cancel my date tonight because I can't go out looking like this. Well this is my "old" eyelash place but relocated to another suite in the same complex. In the world of my pet peeves, this kind of embodies ones of them. Apparently in choosing their new location they decided to choose the part of the shopping complex with the WORST parking.... Thanks? Seriously though, why are all these cars permanently parked in spots clearly marked with time limits? Regardless, the reason I have chosen to one star bump this place is because 1. I permanently switched to Rose for my stylist and she is always on time and does my lashes quickly and efficiently. 2. They've implemented this new membership program that essentially rewards you for brand loyalty by having the refills be cheaper if you commit to them for a year; works for me. Regardless, despite the horrific parking situation, the new location is nicer and more spacious so overall things are definitely better. While I loved Hannah, I developed an allergy to he adhesive that the company uses for the lashes. I was strongly advised to stop getting extensions by my doctor and even provided a note from her. Despite this, my existing credit was not refunded. This I could sort of understand and was given options on how to transfer the credit to another customer. However,l, despite completing the necessary paperwork to stop my subscription, I just noticed that additional funds were removed from my account today. I would not recommend this company to anyone and would recommend going with literally anyone else for lash extensions. They were not friendly when trying to handle this situation. read more

Ashley at the Shepherd location is the BEST! She takes her time, checks on you during your time there, and does an exceptional job! I have been an Amazing Lash member since January 2014 and have gone to multiple locations in the Houston area. I have probably been seen by 7 or so different Amazing Lash stylists and Ashley is the best in the Houston area ... by far! Like I said before she is very courteous and has great customer service skills and the lashes she applies last the FULL TWO WEEKS (and then some)!!!! The girls at the front desk at this location are the friendliest too (out of the ALS i've visited). Go to Ashley!! The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars was because my appointment started at 12:40 and I had to wait 20 minutes for my tech. This honestly would have been totally fine if one of the ladies in the front would have told me what was going on. Once I went in, Sara (my tech) apologized and told me her previous client was late and that was the reason for the wait. I totally understood and appreciated her letting me know. Sara was GREAT. It never takes her longer than an hr, i get all 15's( the longest you can go i think) and they still look natural!! She is so good, and i like the atmosphere. It's nice and I'm super picky and very hard to please. No complaints, i like the receptionists , one more than the other. The blonde hair one is down to earth and super honest. I have been a loyal customer at this location for about four years. The lash technicians are great! Rose, Tina, and JoJo are all master stylists that I have seen and do great work. The problem that I DO have is the structure of the membership system that they have in place. I discovered today (the day of my appointment) that my appointment was booked four days before my automatic draft date as a member. For that reason, I would've had to pay $65.99 at my appointment AND still be drafted my membership fee in four days. This, in no way, is a credit to my account by the way. Just standard membership "protocol". The ladies at the front desk couldn't even explain to me how this rationale made sense. It would make more sense to draft my account as scheduled and I pay the difference ($20) out of pocket for scheduling my appointment before... I... was... supposed... to? It's all very confusing. And it would seem as if there would be some flexibility - given a loyal, monthly, four year customer. I'm awaiting a call from the manager to sort this out. But this whole membership plan y'all have going on could really go for another look at. Definitely want it to be fair on both sides, but seriously... Looking forward to chatting with you all by phone soon. *update* The manager did contact me and froze my membership account for 1 month so that I'm not charged for the month since I already paid out of pocket. I probably called at least 3 times and none of my calls were answered. If I could give no star I would. First of all, Amazing Lash and I have had a great beginning relationship, until they decided they can't keep their stylists.The stylist turnover rate is astronomical, seems like they can't keep a stylist there to save their lives. After the honey moon stage which was my first set, (which was perfect), it quickly went down hill from there. The stylist who did my first set, Nhi, was amazing. So disappointed she left. After the past 6 months, it has been a different stylist each time with bad attitudes and bad lashes. Each time I've left the salon, I've had to come back due to unfilled lashes, fall out, and just simply a poorly done job. I just recently had my eyelashes done at this location. I honestly forget the stylists name as I have had a different lady each time and its hard to keep up with their names at this point. The lashes were not filled completely, you could noticeably see my real lashes under neath sticking out. They looked junky and as if i already needed a refill. On top of that, as soon as i get in the car, i already have fall out. It is so frustrating when this happens with the amount of time it takes to get to the salon, waiting for my appointment when the stylists are running late, and the time actually spent getting the extensions physically put on. I call the front desk and speak to them and get a correction appointment set up. I am booked and ready to go within a couple days to get a correction service with a stylist named Tina. She had a terrible attitude from the get-go. I count how many lashes she puts on and onn my right eye she applies 8 lashes and 6 on my left. She is done within 15 minutes tops. She rushes my lashes and then gives me a mirror when finished and so I have a look. My lashes are STILL not filled in 100% and the extensions are unevenly placed on both sides. It is NOTICEABLE. I tell her they are not filled in 100%, even pointing out the areas that were unfinished. She said she doesn't see what I'm talking about and then tells me theres nothing that she can do. She then has the nerve to suggest i take "eyelash vitamins". First of all, what does "eyelash vitamin" even mean? I am so frustrated and upset with this whole situation, i just grabbed my belongings and left. This whole place seems to genuinely not care about their clients. The lash stylist, Tina, was horrible, and has a terrible attitude. After being fed up with horrible lashes and service, I recently went in to cancel my memebership after just paying for poorly done lashes. I have had enough after several sets of half filled lashes that have quickly fallen out. The stylists are so "fast" at what they do because it seems everyone is trained to only fill lashes 60%. I have actually all of the amazing lash products, purchased from the Sienna location, so I know how to properly care for my extensions. After this huge headache, I went into Amazing Lash recently to cancel my membership and decided enough was enough. I can't keep supporting a business that can't even keep their stylists. I explain to the receptionist named Hayley what bad services I have had and how my most recent experience was just terrible and it has come to the end of my relationship with Amazing Lash Studio. Instead of canceling my membership, the receptionist Hayley told me that they will "take care of me and make sure I'm happy and fix my lashes". She insisted and even went as far as recommending a specific stylist named Tammy and said she could get me in within the hour that same day. I really appreciated that and took her up on her offer for one last try. Let me tell you, that was a mistake. I go see tammy and still didn't end up with what Hayley promised. My eyelashes seriously didn't look any different. I now had different lengths of extensions all over my lash line which looked absolutely horrible... I immediately had fall out as well. (My boyfriend and coworkers even pointed it out immediately as soon as they saw me later on.) I come out of the room and am ready to tip Tammy, even though from my understanding that it was a correction service and that it would be free of charge. Hayley then presents me with a bill of $35 and THEN lets me know that Tammy is a master stylist and presents me with an up charge of $7 on top of that. As someone trying to "take care of me" to prevent me from canceling my membership and offering a correction service, she did a horrible job. As a customer who just came in ready to cancel, she presented to me the service of correcting the lashes would be "comped" by Amazing Lash. I already didn't trust this place, if she had told me that i would also be charged for this "correction service", i wouldn't have given this place another dime and cancelled. At this point I am fed up and want nothing to do with this place. Moral of the story is don't believe everything these people tell you. Never have once left this place with Amazing Lashes. read more

I came here prior to my wedding last month off a friends referral. Her lashes have always looked amazing so I wanted to try them out. I made my appointment over the phone and came in about a week later. I sat in the waiting room for almost 30mins past my appointment time, which is super annoying. I have to make appointments with clients for my job. Understandably, life can happen and we are humans so sometimes things can run late/longer than expected. But at NO point did any of the staff even acknowledge that I was waiting past my scheduled time. When I did get called back to have my lashes done, the esthetician was great! If this was a review only for her, it would be a 5 star review. Unfortunately, this is a review for the business as a whole. My lashes looked beautiful! It was a pretty straight forward process and one I would definitely do again. I did tip her in cash before I left the room. When I came out to the front desk to pay ($79 for my first visit is what I was told when I made the appointment) the girl told me a higher fee. When I questioned her about it, she explained to me that I had a master esthetician (I'm sure she called it something else, but I cannot remember at the moment) and the price is higher. Even though I told her I was never aware of this and didn't know to ask about it since this was my first experience with having lash extensions put on but the only thing she said she could do is take off on my next visit....and followed with asking me if I wanted to sign up for the monthly plan?!?! No thank you! Houston is a great big city and there are lash extension places all over. I do not mind paying for a service or even paying a bit more for someone more experienced to provide such a service. But I seriously mind when I feel as though the business is not being honest and makes me feel as though they are trying to rip me off. I was a customer there for over a year - I developed an allergy to the glue and told them I could no longer come the last time I was there. I called and told them I needed to stop my membership. It took two months for me to realize I was still being billed - I called again and asked them to please stop the membership. She told me to come in and stop it and they would refund my money. After going there and cancelling again, the desk lady told me that I could expect my refund within two weeks, the manager wasn't there and she couldn't do it. By then, the amount was over $400. I called several times and was given an excuse each time until finally after about another two months they called and told me there would be no refund. I have never been treated so poorly by any company. I would go to any other salon before ever going to Amazing Lash Studio again. read more
