I came here for the first time today since amazing nails received such great reviews. The nail tech was very nice but I don't plan to return again in the future. I agree with another yelp reviewer that the duration of the service seemed too fast, especially since it wasn't busy there. I purchased the spa pedicure with regular nail polish and while I did receive everything listed, each thing went very quick from the soak to the hot stones. The application time between coats was almost none at all. When the service was finished, the polish on one of my big toes was noticeably lumpy. The polish on both big toes ended up not setting even after an hour- maybe due to the thick coats? I'll need to take the polish off and redo it due to the wrinkling. I was hoping this might be my new nail spot but I'll be trying somewhere else next time. read more

I regretted coming here. The staff and service was really poor. I was upfront and told them I was pregnant and had to be very careful about infections as I couldn't take medications/ antibiotics. The nail tech ignored me damaged my cuticles and made them bleed. She drilled down the enamel of my nail and wore them thin. read more

Beautiful new salon! Super clean and well kept. Loan and Kim are really professional and friendly. They do a wonderful job on my fingers and toes. They listen to what you want to make sure it's done right. And the environment is really relaxing. Endless nail color options. They have such a beautiful variety, there is no question there is a color for every person or any occasion here. They also have some super fun designs, all hand crafted by Loan herself. It's bright and cheery in the salon, and there a quite a few pedicure / massage chairs. Even 2 smaller chairs perfect for the little girls in your life. Mommy daughter nail day!! I told myself that this had to be a joke. Anna (pictured) in the back was mad that we tried two different polishes. She rushed and my nails are complete crap and sore from her over filing. The ombré does not blend but I was nervous to say something because I didn't feel safe or welcomed. She was talking about me in my face the ENTIRE TIME and had the other women hover around me with their rude comments. I wanted a pedicure and she ran to the back laughing saying "NO WAY". Then everyone started laughing at me. The woman pictured in the front was rough and rude. She clipped my flesh TWICE and mocked me when I said "ouch" to the other women of the staff.I changed my color to white on my toes because I thought it was safe and they couldn't mess it up. Anna came over and looked at my toes and said "is it white enough?" and laughed. The same women who clipped my feet demanded payment before my feet were even dry. I noticed that none of the other women had to do this. She came back with the receipt and stood over me until I filled the tip amount in. When I didn't tip she laughed at me and made more rude comments. Like what did she expect from that behavior and disrespect? I noticed similar disrespect to the other Black woman there. The staff initially did not want to take me and so I was waiting. Save your money and put it into a business that isn't racist and disrespectful. They will hurt you here. read more

I wanted to love this place, chosen because of the high reviews and our regular place unavailable. When I walked in I thought it was going to be great, nice inside, tons of nail colors to choose from (both regular and gel), good looking spa pedicure chairs including two little girl chairs which were adorable... Hubby had called that morning for three pedicures and they said they had availability so him, myself and my sister showed up at 4:45. The water was a good temp. The women were friendly. They have a basic pedicure for 30$. My sister and I chose the upgraded deluxe pedicure for 40$ and my husband got the even more upgraded at 55$. I didn't read exactly the difference because I figured anything above basic is a good pedicure, and 40$ is on the average side for a decent pedicure. Ended up this included several things - great! however I was extremely disappointed in the overall experience. My toes were being painted after I had only been in the salon for 20 minutes... so that included foot soak, nail polish removal, clipping and cleaning up the nails, massage, hot stones (which was simply one rub down of each leg one time), mask on legs, and then it was over. It was way way way too fast. She was rubbing my legs way too fast, not at all slow and relaxing. The massage chairs were also a bit weak and like they need new batteries (hah not sure if that's really a thing) or need to be replaced completely. My husband, who's 55$ pedicure was done in 30 minutes. Also completely unreal for that amount of money. The last step for him was a jelly wax On his feet and when she wiped it off, there were bits and pieces of the wax still on his feet that I myself peeled off before he put his socks back on. I felt a little sad at the end. A pedicure is a splurge Chris G and i budget for every month, and for 100$ plus tip, we don't think it's too much to ask to expect a little more than what we got here and I'm not sure if they maybe squeezed us in so didn't give us the normal service they would provide on a slower day. However just comes down to this not feeling worth it :( read more

I heard about this new nail salon and decided to try it out since moving to south Reno. Kim and her sister are absolutely delightful, I've never had such a positive experience at a nail salon quite like this. The salon itself is very clean and organized, I could not find a single thing negative about it. I was also in there with two lovely ladies who have been seeing these two sisters for years and they SWEAR by them. The prices are great as well, for my gel manicure, it was $30 and I left a $10 tip. That in itself was less than I thought I was going to pay! I had my nails done by Kim and she did an absolutely great job. Great conversation and very funny. This really stinks cause I don't wanna update to lower stars however I feel it needs to be said. The girls who do the manicures are very nice. I got my acrylics without issue, she was gentle cause I have sensitive nails and friendly. No issues with her, loved the work she did, my nails look even and smooth. However the pedicure lady I got, was not an experience I wish to have again. She was so quite I couldn't hear her. And she was obviously getting annoyed by me asking her to repeat herself. She then took a tool to help get all the stuff out of from under your nails. However she ended up pulling my nail up from my nail bed on the corner. Even after I said ouch and pulled away for a second, she didn't miss a beat, no apology, no checking if I need something to wipe it clean. Nothing. So I just let her finish. Quickly put on my shoes and left. Once I got home I rubbed my toe to feel a bunch of crusted up blood, so I cleaned it up and went to bed. This morning it's still tender to the touch. I also have patches of flakey skin on the bottom of my opposite foot. This really stinks cause I recommend this place to my friend, she had a great person to work on her nails but I didn't have the same experience. I'm really upset cause I tried three times this place now and it's a hit or miss depending on who get. Clean place though with good ventilation. read more

Went here for the first time yesterday and was very nervous to be back at a salon. So happy I decided to come here! They have lots of beautiful colors and even more glitters to choose from compared to other salons. Kim was sure to ask questions as she did my nails and helped me pick the best type of nails for me (I have a toddler and am always getting messy). She always asked if it looked satisfactory as she went (nail shape,length, color choice). I never felt rushed like I have at other salons and I could see the patience and technique in my nails. I wanted to try this nail salon since reading great reviews from last Summer. Being that the warm weather is here to stay, I gave a call a few days before to secure an appointment. I adjusted my work schedule to accommodate their availability and actually drove across town for this appointment. Upon walking in it was very clean, and I received a greeting. I was seated in a chair within a few minutes and provided 3 nail coloring sample books. My nail tech (Vivian) was very sweet, and let me enjoy this relaxing time. I ordered the Deluxe pedicure which comes with a hot stone massage, and a lotion of your choosing (I went with Lavender). This was a great experience. I didn't notice at this time but my toe color is not the sample I picked this may be due to the fact that the tech placed a base coat under the glitter. So instead of it being a purplish pink glitter, it is a dark purple (not really my preference). The dings come in, due to not skipping seats, people upon people kept coming in, and from what I'm aware with the recommendations is that every other seat is utilized (unless your with your set group of friends and families). So I had someone to my immediate right in the spa chair next to me. I actually volunteered to sit at the drying bar ( I was asked where I prefer to dry) and knew that a group of 3 came in and were waiting for their spa chairs. The really upsetting part was the tone (I believe she was the owner), I was playing around on my phone and hear "you can go....", I looked up , "you can go...." It felt very unwelcome and undeserving. I tipped my lady, since she took great care but that will be the first and the last time I drive out of my way for a nail salon given today's current climate customer service means so much. I was always told it's not "what you say it's how you say it" which in this case came across very curt. read more

Coincidentally, my sister has been going to Amazing Nails for several months and I now work in the same shopping center. My sister is insanely picky about her nails so when I was having trouble finding time to get to my girl across town during business hours I felt pretty comfortable giving Amazing Nails a shot. It's so hard switching up services like this when you've found a place/person you like. I walked in on a Thursday night after work and asked about their availability for a gel fill. They could have gotten me in an hour later but I made an appointment for the next day right after work. Kim was ready for me right on time and did a nice job. I WS sin and out in 45 minutes. The reason I love hard gel is because it can be done thin and natural looking but they can hold up to quite a bit of abuse... I'm a hobby woodworker but I work in the design field and need my nails to be presentable. It's been a week since I had my nails done and they look and feel great. I'm not ready to give up on my regular place but I feel good about having Amazing Nails as another option. read more

This is a great nail salon. First off, the salon is very clean and doesn't smell (like many nail salons do). The chairs are comfy and the staff are very friendly. I did have to make an appointment but they were able to get me in the same day. I got the Jelly Pedicure (Peppermint) just to see what it was (even though it was more expensive). I'm not sure it was worth the money (compared to their Deluxe pedicure) but I'm still glad I tried it. They add a mixture to the water so when you soak your feet initially, your feet soak in a jelly like solution. The texture was fun, the solution smelled wonderful and made my feet super soft. The rest of the pedicure was well done with a scrub, massage with hot stones, paraffin wax and polish. My only complaint is that the massage portion wasn't done for very long but I would imagine on their normal pedicure they probably massage for longer because you don't have the wax treatment. All in all it was a great pedicure and nice salon. I'll defiantly be back! My only suggestion is that they seem to have a very small staff so I would suggest making an appointment; versus just walking in). read more
