Bottom line: China Wok in Lewisville made a pretty enjoyable takeout Chinese meal, my Pork Lo Mein combo was good stuff. Completed in good time and fresh tasting. The Deets: When visiting the folks the night before Thanksgiving, no one really wants to cook the night before Turkey Day right? So of course we hit up the local Chinese restaurant for take out...that meant a call into China Wok at the 189 Lowes Foods Dr location in Lewisville, back beside Lowes Foods grocery store. I decided to go for the C6 combination item on their menu (my parents had it handy so they must be regular customers)...Pork Lo Mein Combination that includes choice of rice and egg roll. I would have preferred Beef Lo Mein but that was not available as a combination offering. We rode over and they had it all ready right on time. Even on what appeared to be a busy night for them, they handled it like clockwork. There was a fairly good portion in the takeout container (see pic). Everything was fresh tasting and delicious, not boring or ho-hum, I really did like this takeout...yes, it is Americanized Chinese food but that does not stop it from being a pretty tasty takeout meal. My folks made the right choice going with China Wok pre-holiday, I am a fan!

Very affordable and nice size lunch specials.

Basic, but good. That's the best way I can describe it. This no frills Chinese take-out joint located next to Lowe's Foods in Lewisville will get you hooked up with any of your favorites efficiently, for a low price, and with a smile on their face. Particularly at lunch time, where a lunch special will run you just 6 or 7 bucks. I came in for one of those lunch specials, the ole stand-by General Tso's chicken. My food was ready within 10 minutes, the more than ample portion of chicken was crispy in a flavorful sauce with just a hint of spice. It came with a nice size scoop of vegetable fried rice and a crispy egg roll. It wasn't anything remarkable, but I certainly would order it again. It fully met my expectations, and the lady at the counter was very friendly. If you plan to eat in, just be prepared the dining area is very sparse, this is mainly a take-out place.

I learned while visiting that there's not a big selection for Chinese Food in the immediate Lewisville township. Sure if you want to go further away the choices grow, but that's not the point. However I was happy to stumble across China Wok 2 while in town visiting friends. We were actually on our way to get some groceries at Lowes Foods next door and stopped into China Wok 2 first and placed our orders. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure we ordered off the lunch menu. I had a beef and broccoli meal and upgraded the regular fried rice to a veggie fried rice and that also came with an option of soup or an egg roll. I opted for the egg roll. I don't recall but I think both of my friends had the General Tso's Chicken. They also opted for the pork egg rolls. Upon returning about 20-25 minutes later our lunch was ready and off to the house we went. China Wok 2 puts everything into one container, which makes it easier for mixing things up after adding your various sauces and such. I was pleased with the vegetable mixture and kudo's for the mini ears of corn thrown in. I haven't seen those in a while. It was a solid meal portion wise and the taste was excellent as well. All the food was very fresh and fully cooked. I'm looking forward to another visit here in the future. Hopefully this coming summer. If you're looking for good Chinese food in Lewisville then look no further, you've found it.

Seven years ago I gave this place an awesome review. Let's just say things change. Just spent $15 on inedible food. The refried rice is just soy soaked rice with nasty egg in it. And the chicken is so stringy that it's like chewing on burlap rope.

Definitely the best Chinese take out I've had in NC. They make the dumplings themselves and that makes all the difference.

There isn't much to the store, with only a few tables inside. This is clearly a place focused on take out, and that's okay. Pick up was just as easy as ordering. The important bit: the food is great. We had the hunan roast pork and vegetable lo mein, and both servings were generous in quantity. The flavor and quality of ingredients was very good. The egg rolls were crispy and large, and based on my experience working in a Chinese restaurant years ago, I suspect their egg rolls are made in house. There's other serviceable Chinese food spots in the area, but they've always been consistent with their lunch service and as a sit down option, we prefer them over almost anyone else in the area. My wife got the General Tsos chicken with fried rice and wonton soup. I got the Szechuan beef with fried rice and it was delicious. Their beef is always cooked very well for thin cuts. Not chewy, very tender and flavorful. The veggies that come with it, the sliced celery, green peppers and carrots were cooked a little under to my liking, but it paired well with the beef flavor and the sauce its prepared in. Didn't get the chance to taste any of my wife's food but she was happy with it. Their food is always prepared very well anyways, so it was no surprise. Wasn't much of a lunchtime crowd, so the setting was quiet and we enjoyed it. I wish they'd bring their Sunday buffet back. Pre covid, we would visit them after church often and got to sample most of everything on their menu, which was also very good as well. That's the only complaint I have I suppose.

I usually get the combo plates that include an entree, egg roll and rice. Today, I have been battling a cold and cough and some wonton soup sounded perfect to sooth my throat. Despite the name, it was developed in Taiwan before coming to the USA, an been very popular, especially as a take out item. The version served here is among the best, nearly as good as the best in the area, that served at Jade Garden in Advance. The dish here adheres to the straight forward simplicity of processing quality beef, onions, and peppers well seasoned with a soy based sauce. The fried shrimp are small, fresh tasting, and well breaded and well seasoned. This isn't an item often thought of when considering Chinese American appetizer, but I would suggest you consider it , especially when a bit of hot mustard or Chinese hot sauce is added. I have tried at least a dozen items here, and there have only been a couple I would not reorder. The sipped with which your order is prepared is a definite plus, usually you are out in under 15 minutes.

We ordered a standard vodka soda from the drink menu. They have drink specials every day as well. Then we tried the sweet heat roll which was so pretty ! Delicious with all the sushi elements. Yum. Then we tried the poke bowl with ahi tuna. Wow so big! Rice, seaweed salad and lots of Veggies and a yummy soy wasabi vinaigrette. The tuna sashimi was so fresh. Then the red curry with chicken. We asked for extra Thai spicy and it was just the perfect heat. Served with white rice this was a huge portion honestly could have served 3 people. We still had a lot left over .
