Great deals every now and then and good quality products. The three stars is for the customer service though. The staff who are filling online orders like to hog up the entire aisle with their carts while talking to each other and not let you through even though they see you. They don't care about customers here. The lady at the dash cart checkout was super rude. She basically yelled at us saying our cart is over the weight limit and implied that we might be stealing because the cart won't process the payment when it's too full. I've never had this issue before at other Amazon fresh locations. If this is the case, this is a cart problem- not us. No need for the attitude. She then proceeded to choose the satisfaction ratings on our cart just to make sure we paid. She didn't even ask us, she just chose extremely satisfied and that we had no issues. Even though she apologized in the end, she seemed very unhappy and reluctant to do so. it left a very bad taste in my mouth. read more

I almost don't want to share this store! Amazon Fresh has quickly become my favorite place to shop for groceries. I'm truly impressed! The store is clean, spacious, and very easy to navigate. Shopping here is simple and enjoyable. The staff is friendly and ready to help, which made the experience even better. The prices are very, very good. I was shocked by how much I was able to get. I filled an entire cart (see photos) for just $67. And since I'm an Amazon Prime member, I received an extra $10 discount at checkout. I was honestly speechless $57.00!!!! The store is in a convenient location and has now become my go to for groceries. I will absolutely be back again and again. I highly recommend visiting Amazon Fresh if you haven't already! Love that there's finally one in Upland! It was a long time coming. Very pretty and clean store, really love that. I know it's new but hoping they can keep this up. Awesome sales on various items. If you look closely, you can come up with a grocery cart full of stuff at super low prices. One of these days, I'll go back and just look for the items that are priced to sell. Love that you can return things here for Amazon. If I hadn't come in to do that, I wouldn't have perused the rest of the store, so definitely like the 2 for 1. My sister was recommending me to go here since they have great selection and fresh food so I finally went here for the weekend. There is tons of parking since it is in a plaza next to Dollar Tree, Ross, Raising Cane's etc. The inside is very clean and organize. They have many selections and the food does look very fresh. I bought the crunchy rolls and fresh fruits. They have self check out so used that. It's convenient instead of having to wait for someone at the register. Congratulations to Amazon Fresh for discovering that having competitive prices is a great idea. In the past, Amazon prices had been much higher. I did not like the pricing model for non prime members since not everyone wants another expensive subscription to pay for. Grocery Stores should be competitive. Amazon Fresh rolled out with high prices. They made adjustments in May of 2025. A little late for certain locations that have now closed including Thousand Oaks, California. Cashier left by herself as her line grew longer no one was called to help her. As many Amazon Fresh employees were near this cashier. Cashier wasn't too quick and had broken English at no fault of hers. I even ask the greeter at the door to let management know the lone cashier needed help. So, I took my groceries to my car and brought my cart back into the store and the cashier wasn't still the only one and her line was even longer now. I said to the greeter "I guess she isn't getting the help" and she said manager told her no and to go back to her place at the door. Management here needs to do better for their employees! read more

Review edit: went back for a third time today, wouldn't let me return. Store is officially closing. This location really needs to get it together, especially since other locations in the surrounding area or closing. I went on Monday to find a paper sign saying they closed early for the day, and today (Friday) I went to try and return items again only to be turned away because "they didn't have any return boxes." I'll be returning my items at whole food in the future. read more

FINALLY! Visited this location and thought it was clean, spacious and had a lot of deals. I shop at my local Amazon Fresh and this one was on-par with that one. I'm over the self scanning cart and prefer the regular cart and scanning my groceries at the self check-out. The selling point for me is that you can get $10 off $50 worth of groceries, before coupons, discounts and taxes are added. If you're not an Amazon Prime member you can still get the same discount, just ask for one of the mailers that they hand out when you walk in or pick one up by the entrance. My phone died once and I was still able to get the prime discount by using the paper copy of the coupon found in the weekly mailer that the greeter passes out when you walk in. I've done a comparison to Aldi as far as buying the same staples I get here over there, and it's maybe two the three dollars cheaper at Aldi, but the quality here is way better. The sushi is a hit or miss and the pizza at the deli sucks. Get the pizza at Costco. The workers here are nice as well! read more

Beware the Dash carts. It does not properly ring up manager specials or discounted bakery items. Getting pricing corrected is a total pain. This store is clean, well stocked with very competitive prices. My first foray at this store I tried out the Dash Cart. Fancy cart that doubles as a scale with a computer attached. Scan your in store Amazon code and off you go! A camera scans bar codes as you add things to your cart. Produce can be looked up and weighed right in the cart. Computer keeps a running list and total of everything in the cart. Once done, walk though the Dash checkout lane and DONE! The order shows up in your Amazon account showing everything you bought and paid for. It's fantastic as long as nothing goes wrong. Things went a bit wrong on my second trip because this time I picked up the managers deal on a 6 pack of bagels. Despite double checking with an employee and them confirming the manager's deal would calculate correctly with the dash cart at checkout, this was not the case. I was still charged full price for the item. No problem, get a price adjustment right? Well they can't do that after checkout in the store. I have to request a refund of the item in my Amazon order history. Except that didn't work either as the refund request kept giving me an error message that it couldn't be processed. I ended up calling customer service. I did get a live rep immediately but i had to be transferred after describing my problem and let me tell you, having to repeat a 17 digit order number is super annoying. The second rep promised a refund that wouldshow up i. 2-3 hours. Never did. I ended up requesting a refund in the app 2 days later. That in the end worked. Overall, prices and offerings very competitive. Dash cart needs some work. read more

We are no stranger to amazon fresh. We were introduced to amazon fresh when we lived in Long Beach and since moving to Upland we would trek over to the La Verne location. We are expert Dashers and anazon fresh loyalist. We are so glad the Upland location is open now as it's so convenient and within reach without having to trek across town. One thing i observed during this visit is team members were not being mindful blocking the aisle so everyone shopping can navigate through the store quickly. I also noticed the Asian food products does not have a dedicated section like it used too, but rather intergrated into different sections. Other than the few mention the store is awesome. read more

I want to start off by saying Olga, did an outstanding job handling the situation that I will be explaining, and she didn't deserve the attitude "Armando" gave her and clear as day by her face she was very embarrassed. Here's the situation, and this has happened and different amazons. We were told after 6:30pm hot food is 75% off. At 7:15pm we tried buying chickens but wanted to charge full price. Olga asked "Armando" for help. He came over with attitude after she explained to him about the 75% off on the hot foods after 6:30 pm (to verify with him) he kept shrugging and saying, "I don't know. If you don't wanna push it though call a manager. " very dismissive to Olga and her questions when she needed help. A lot of " I don't know I'm on my lunch " "I don't know if that's what they say I guess just scan it" "I don't know call a manager I'm on my lunch " On top of us looking bad for been given misnformation about the discount (which we have bought numerous times with receipts as proof on the discounts which we also showed, ) there was a big line. Olga apologized, and continued to do her job while Armando walked away, the whole thing was awkward and uncalled for. If Amazon doesn't want to honor any discounts they tell customers about or change their minds based on who's working, than don't tell anyone at all about "specials " Ambiance was awkward, frustrating and overall a complete bad experience. Thank you to the associates that actually tired Helping and Amazon should step up to train certain employees on how to appropriately handle these situations. Never coming to this location again. never again. i traveled from san bernardino to go to this store. i walked to the produce section and an employee shopping for a pick up order brushes her huge cart by me without saying excuse me. very, very few employees at this location are incompetent and have no customer service skills. also no manners or decency. what is wrong with managment?? i then walk through three more aisles and the same employee, running her cart into me and not saying excuse me or sorry. i spoke up this time, "why dont you say excuse me?" she replied, "i didnt run into you!" i asked her name and she ignored. i asked again and she finally says marianna.... i go to the cashier, kaitlin/caitlin? and asked for a manager, i waited 5 minutes. i asked if she managment was coming now kaitlin gets annoyed...also lacking customer service and human decency. i asked another employee, who is actually helpful where the manager is. he helped me right away. i wish i got his name to give him a compliment here. i find victoria, the manager, and she has no name tag, just like all the other employees. i had to ask her name. i tell her my complaint about "marianna". she says, nobody by that name works here. the employee that rammed her cart gave me a fake name!! victoria rolled her eyes and we tried to find her. nowhere to be found. victoria says shes on break. i asked for the employees name and she wouldnt give it to me. she said there were three employees working the floor. only three ... this store is a joke. FINALLY! I've been waiting for this location to open since moving to Upland in 2021. So glad to see it finally here! The only other location I've been to is the one in La Verne and this is just right down the street so it's super convenient. I like how clean it is and so many options offered. They have weekly deals and daily deli deals which I'm looking forward to trying. There are also coupons, either $5 off $25 or $10 off $50 so keep an eye out for those. Only thing I don't like is how narrow the isles are. It's barely big enough for two carts to go through and the workers are usually restocking shelves with their giant carts so it's hard to shop. Also think there needs to be more training. Workers are nice, but during my most recent shopping trip here I didn't have the best interaction. An item in store was on sale 50% off, but the cart wasn't updating with the discounted price. I just asked if he could help me and he was snappy towards me and I ended up just not purchasing that item. Everyone else I've dealt with has been fine. read more

DO NOT ever place an order online with them. They take forever to fill it. I placed an order for 2 lousy packages of lunch meat, supposed to be ready in 2 hours or less. I waited over a day, they kept changing the pick up time online. Then when I contacted them, they never got back to me. I picked up the chat again and they tell me they didn't have anyone to deliver it. ???? It was an order for pick up. Today is Jan 28 and now it says its going to be ready between 9 and 10 am today. We'll see. I'll update the review if it isn't. These people don't know what they are doing. It's sad. Save yourself some stress and shop elsewhere. This review is for a visit on a FRIDAY evening a few days after the first review. Hot food bars were open along with the salad and pizza bar/stations. Take and Bake pizza was a generous 16". Costco size. On sale from $8.89 to $7.78. Sale was not in the flyer or posted. Maybe it's a Prime member deal? Anyway well worth the price. Crust is tasty. This ain't no freezer case frozen pizza. It's quite good. Interestingly enough the checkout experience was the most unmemorable part. Three check stands had their light on but only one was actually in operation. The cashier, Julie, was a real grump. Didn't even lookup when she said to open the app. No please or anything. She asked about bags. I told her I brought my own. But the order was not bagged. After I paid I asked if bagging was offered, she said I didn't give her bags. But they were in my cart. If she had looked up she would have seen them. My mother had a disappointing and uncomfortable experience at this Amazon Fresh location. While checking out, the cashier asked her to show her ID to verify her name on her debit card. She wasn't buying alcohol so it didn't make sense. She wears a hijab, and it was hard not to feel that she was being singled out because of how she looks. The cashier's name is BETSY. When I went back to speak with the manager, Andrew, I explained what had happened. Instead of taking the situation seriously, he handed me a coupon. That moment made it clear he wasn't really listening. It felt like he was brushing the whole thing off, like what happened to my mom didn't matter. Amazon needs to investigate this matter thoroughly. No one should have to encounter racism at any of your locations. It's deeply concerning to think about how many others she may have treated this way. So happy the store finally opened. It's clean, fresh and the employees are very friendly. There is someone at the front door to greet you with an add that includes coupons. Score! I absolutely love the produce department. They have a lot of options and the prices are reasonable. I like that Amazon Fresh has some specialty items that I've had a hard time finding in the local grocery stores. I also like that as an Amazon Prime member my purchases show in my Amazon app. I'm happy to have a local Amazon Fresh and I've been there more times this week than the grocery store that I usually shopped at. read more

I love the products and prices. The shopping experience is unpleasant. There are more workers on the floor filling to go orders than actual customers. They will leave their cart in the middle of the aisle or be next to each other and take the whole aisle. I had to walk around several times to get what I needed and the employees pretend you're not there. Inconvenient and uncomfortable experience especially shopping on time crunch. I saw a similar review and I would say it is very accurate as I stopped coming months ago for that reason but gave it one last shot. Management should teach the employees to have customer service and understand customer experience should come first. Or perhaps management needs to learn what is expected who knows! Amazon Fresh in Upland surprised me in the best way. It's clean, super organized, and feels like a mix between Whole Foods and a futuristic convenience store. You walk in and immediately notice the tech, smart carts, self-checkout, and that Just Walk Out option if you're using the app. The produce was fresh and well-stocked, especially the berries and greens. I appreciated that they carry both name brands and their own Amazon branded basics makes it easy to shop based on budget. I also saw a solid selection of ready made meals and hot food for anyone looking for a quick lunch. read more

No matter what time of day I go there, there are always workers blocking the isles with large carts. That makes it impossible to shop. Then when you say excuse me they act as if they are being bothered. Not worth wasting my time going there when there are other supermarkets close by. read more

I just returned from my first visit to this store. There was a celebration in the parking lot with a pit barbecue flaming high, serving whatever. I didn't see the point of it. Next there was a DJ station and giant speakers set up in front of the store that was blasting high-bass, club-like, profoundly annoying thumping noise. It was repellant, and had we not made a special trip, I would have gone elsewhere. What, exactly is their target demographic? Inside the store was decent enough for a new opening. The fresh bread was a nice surprise. The food bar was gross, clearly it was prepared in the morning and left out all day. The cashier was a fun guy who made this first experience better. When we tried to leave, our car was surrounded by children and adults who were in a catatonic daze because the Oscar Meyer Weiner-mobile showed up. Again I wonder if AMZ Fresh knows who their customer base are. After tooting the horn and asking for clearance several times, a good Samaritan helped to corral the drooling group of wiener lackeys away from the car enough that we could get out. I hope they get it together because the concept is good. The last AMZ Fresh attempt was in La Verne and it didn't last too long. A few more vegan and vegetarian options would do well in this area. We'll give it a couple of more weeks to settle and try it again. read more
