I returned to this location because they are closed on the weekend, and this one had the highest ratings (most likely because it's right next to the spheres). Scan your QR code for entry, pick out your deals, and walk out. Your items are paid for on your Amazon account, and you will get an itemized receipt via email later. The store is immaculate, organized, and well-stocked with convenience store items such as sandwiches, chips, drinks, candy bars, etc. They had the best soft drink price in Seattle. Returning items? The 7th Ave location has now made it easier with a drop off bin (when entering it'll be towards the right / near the cold drinks and hot food area). Even if you're returning an item in a provided plastic bag, you'll still want to bag with the one that's provided at the machine. Scanning the QR code, you'll be given a return sticker to put on the bag, and after wrapping your item(s) you'll drop in the bin. 10/9/2025 It is not Amazon Go but Amazon online. It is not the Amazon Go store but the telephone online customer serviice which is mediocre. I received twice the wrong items because the description was totally wrong. Amazon decided to dispatch UPS to come and pick them up free from my home. They came twice and they wanted to charge me the fee which I was never told to pay. I was on the phone day after day from 10/5/2025 till today calling, holding the line for the supervisor and at last spoke to Olivia who refunded me the UPS fee and gave me a gift card for $10.00 for my time spent from 10/5/2025 on the phone. I highly recommend you to only speak to supervisors to solve your issues and demand a compensation $ for your time. I demanded $10.00 but she wanted to give me only $5.00. She said she will make an exception. Exception? Ha, ha, ha!!! First time experience.. it was WOW ! Took kids and my in laws , and they were amazed . But the shop can be better . Not much stuff inside . Wish they had more items to shop. They have some really basic basic stuff .. they really have to UP the inventory . Coffee was good . Some snacks were good but it was just for the store experience that we went . With so many cameras and systems in store , it is possibly better to hire someone in cashiers counters and pay them :). Usually, I've been very happy with Amazon Go and their food products. Service is excellent and the store is always clean and neat. I've tried several of their sandwiches - all of which have been VERY good. Then of course there is the amazing prices for their food selections. But today, not so much. I ordered their cold BLT sandwich. The bread was so dried out that it crumbled as I took each bite. The contect not very filling - more lettuce and tomato than bacon. Woohoo! Welcome to the 21st century corner market. This fully automated Amazon grocery is the best thing since sliced bread IMHO, and further cements my tendency to make Jeff Bezos even richer. On a quick business trip to Seattle, I tried out one of these fully automated Amazon stores (the flight during CV19 was a trip, so to speak). I'd read about this new concept, testing since about 2018 and now opening up all over (Seattle, Chicago, New York, SF, Philly, NJ). Amazon is now the owner of Whole Foods (can integration of this tech be far off there?) They're also experimenting with buying and converting standard grocery stores to this methodology. The basic idea is you load an app on your phone which clocks you into a little gate at the front of the store. Everything is fully automated on your Amazon account and there's no need to check out or even self-scan. A couple of cities have passed ordinances that you must have a cash option, so a few of these stores also have a human checkout for Luddites, but most don't take cash or have any form human attendant. Amazon Go stores is like an upscale version of a 7-Eleven store where you can get drinks and snacks. It's great when you are on the go and want something quick. You start off by downloading the Amazon Go app and scanning it at the turnstyle to get into the store. Once your inside the store, you select the items you want and walk out. It will automatically detect the items you took and charge your Amazon account automatically within a few minutes and it is very accurate. It's a strange concept not to pay as you walk out. I genuinely can't remember if this was the place where I could use my palm as an ID to walk in but I'm assuming it's this one. I'm really conflicted. I hate how Amazon is ruining local small businesses but this concept is brilliant. There is no wait at all. I love the technology but I'm also still a bit creeped out. I registered my palm ID with just my cell phone number and a credit card, yet somehow Amazon connected that information with my prime account. I did not consent to that but my god they are smart. It's a pretty cool convenience store but they are pricey. If you're a tourist, consider getting the Seattle Chocolate. They're priced at $3 and everywhere else they're pretty expensive ($4.50 at whole foods and $5 at SeaTac airport). Sure this place is convenient but when we arrived on Friday around 6pm it was completely wiped out. No hot food, no mineral water, place seems a little in disarray with huge empty spaces on shelves throughout the store, ... maybe they only stock it once a day?... shesh. The system was able to accurately charge my account for the correct purchase. Overall are group got a lentil and curry bowl with rice (2 stars I've experienced better), gt kombucha, a turkey cheddar bacon wrap, take and heat spaghetti and meatballs, and a few donuts (1.99 each). Either way, I needed a couple groceries for a birthday party later that night and I realized that I had never been to an Amazon Go store before so I wanted to check it out. To get started download the app which is what you will use to enter the store. You just pick up an item and somehow it knows to add that to your cart. And if you put it back it knows to remove it from your cart. Then you walk out without needing to talk to cashiers or dealing with lines or paying. You just leave! I was skeptical about how accurate my total bill would come out to be and the employee I talked to told me if there was a discrepancy I could dispute it on the app itself. I got an email not long after containing my receipt and it was accurate. I really felt like a kid in a candy store in terms of the technology used and how everything worked. I didn't catch if there was any noticeable price difference between this place and normal grocery stores. Then they track your movements around the store. You can pick up the items and return the item to same place. One important thing is not pick up the item and pass to next person and return to the place. This will count against you as a buy. You can find the chef or work cutting and assemble the fresh food on the window. They have full components kitchen to bake, cook, or made the fresh food of the day. If you have go app, you walk in and get the Amazon go bag free without buying anything. Basically it is a good promotion for many who carry Amazon logo. The store has very limited selection brand. First store and still the best. While a couple new Amazon Go stores have opened up, this one still reins supreme because it is the largest of them all. The other stores in downtown Seattle and South Lake Union have a smaller selection of items to choose from and feel more like a convenience store than this store. While this store has the convenience store feel, it does offer the luxury of being next to a park space which makes for a nice place to have a picnic during the warmer months. The prepared foods are very reasonably priced and are a better value than going to a restaurant for a similar meal. The grocery selection is fine. Prices are higher, but can be worth getting in some instances like that loaf of bread from Macrina Bakery for dinner on your way of home from work or that can of soda to go with your lunch. As for the accuracy of my purchases, I have been here many times and my receipt has been always correct. If you are in the area, it is worth grabbing some food at Amazon Go to check out the technology but also because it is one of the most reasonably priced eateries in the neighborhood. read more

The original Amazon Go store, located next to the Spheres, is as much a tourist attraction as it is a grocery store. On one of my recent visits to Seattle, I remembered that it was open to the public so I had to take a look inside. Assuming that you already have an Amazon account, all you have to do is download the app and setup a payment method. I brought my own tote bag, but if you don't have one, they are complimentary tote bags available. I took one as a souvenir. I made a quick loop around the store and was surprised at how small it is. The food options consist of prepared foods, packaged foods (e.g. chocolate), and drinks. I guess that makes sense because it's supposed to be a grab and go store. I ended up buying something just because I wanted to see if it would charge me for the right item (it did). I picked up an Amazon Go branded Theo chocolate bar, 70% dark chocolate, with sea salt. We were in the area to check out the Amazon spheres as they were under construction my last visit to Seattle. Amazon Go is conveniently located in the shadow of the spheres in Amazon building Day 1. It was a no brainer to pop into the store to check out this novel shopping experience. Welcome to the future! You do have to download the Amazon Go app to enter the store but thankfully just one person needs to download it and sign in as you can tag in friends prior to entering yourself. There's a friendly worker at the front entrance that can guide you through the process. Thankfully no line when we went! They had lots of goodies available inside. We found a good selection of pre-made sandwiches perfect to take to the airport as a snack as well as some Caffe Vita coffee to bring back for my sis as a Seattle souvenir. It's a good thing I don't live nearby because if I did, I would be here on the regular. It's so convenient to just walk in, grab whatever you want, and walk out. It takes a good 15 minutes or so after leaving the store for your receipt to finally show up but when it did, it had captured our order perfectly. If you look up at the ceiling you'll notice a ton of cameras/sensors that are what they use to figure out what you end up buying. Pretty amazing! I could certainly get behind this as I now discovered that going to the grocery store for work lunches is easy, convenient, fast and offers more options and is cheaper than going to a restaurant. This store reminds me a lot of 7-Eleven minus having to pay with credit card or cash. Before entering, you must download the Amazon Go app and sign into your amazon account. Then you can enter through the electronic gates by scanning your phone. Once you're in, go get yourself a free orange Amazon Go reusable bag to put your items in. I said it reminded me a lot of 7-Eleven because it sells a lot of drinks, snacks and various food items. However they do sell prepackaged meals as well like Blue Apron. I was shocked with the variety of pre made food selection. There was a small area for medicinal items, and dinner kits to take home for $20. Most of us felt a little awkward walking out with our items, but recieved Amazon receipts immediately after leaving the store. Swipe for the option to return or report a problem.
