However, I left the salon with hair color stained on my forehead, which wasn't great because I had a couple errands to run on my way home. I mentioned it to Laurin, and she apologized, said it would come off in a few days and that toothpaste could help remove it faster. She also said she'd make a note so it wouldn't happen again next time. Unfortunately, at my appointment on June 22, it happened again. This time, there was enough color on my skin that I was wiping it off with a napkin while still sitting in the chair. Even so, I later discovered additional staining on my forehead, ears, and neck when I got home. What disappoints me most is that I shared this feedback in the text message I received after my appointment and haven't heard from anyone since. Honestly, that's the part that surprised me. Mistakes happen, but after it happened a second time--especially after we had already discussed it during my first visit--I would have appreciated at least an acknowledgment or follow-up. I almost didn't bother writing this review because the whole thing has been such a bummer. I'm only leaving it here as information for anyone who might find it helpful.

Everyone seemed kind of scattered. Around 8:20, they finally told me my stylist had called out sick and they were trying to find someone to come in. I even asked if I should just reschedule, but they said no, they had someone coming. I finally got in the chair at 9am. I was pissed, but at that point it was too late to go home and start doing my own hair. Luckily, my hair turned out PERFECT. Exactly what I wanted. So I figured it was just a bad morning and decided to go back. Fast forward to Monday. I had another event and booked a 1:45 appointment. At 1:20, I got a voicemail saying they were running behind and would see me at 2. Fine. I still got there at 1:45 and figured I'd just hang out in the AC. I wasn't taken back until 2:20. Normally I wouldn't be that annoyed, but after my first experience, I was already reeling. Then my hair was done and I looked like a poodle. Straight on top and huge and puffy on the bottom. I was already running late, so I just left. I live ONE MILE away. By the time I got home, my hair was completely straight. Not a curl left. I had to recurl my entire head myself before my event. I went in thinking I could just jump right back in to the color, highlights and cut I used to have. Unfortunately, after that illness and age, my hair had irreversibly changed and was too weak to take the processes it would take to make my "fantasy" happen. Naz was honest with me, empathetic and kind..she gave me realistic suggestions and "held my hand" throughout, used products that actually helped my hair and educated me on how to use them. I didn't walk out with the fantasy, but I did walk out with healthy, beautiful hair with a great cut. My husband noticed my hair right away (after 20 years of marriage this is a rare occurrence) and thought it looked amazing. A few days after my appointment, I called to let them know I wasn't happy with the results. I was told to wait about three weeks before coming back to have it redone. When I called back after that, no one answered. I then left for a work trip to Japan. When I returned, I submitted a request through their website asking for a refund. Someone from the salon called me and asked if I wanted to come back and have the same technician redo the service. I politely asked if I could have a different technician instead, but I was told that wasn't an option. Since I wasn't comfortable having the same person perform the service again, I again requested a refund. Then the owner told me it's too late to have someone at the salon redo it or to get a refund. Horrible customer service. I've attached photos comparing the results. The first photo is the lash lift I received from Salon Biology. The second photo is from a different salon that charged about half the price, and the results were dramatically better. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Salon Biology for lash lifts. I was disappointed not only with the quality of the service but also with how my concerns were handled. I will not be returning.
