I couldn't book an appointment at my usual waxing place, so I decided to give a local place a try. I opted for eyebrow threading, and she pushed me to get my full face waxed, but I was hesitant and only chose to get my forehead waxed. My forehead got burned from the wax. The threading, however, was good. One more thing to be careful about is that the owner does not honor the prices listed on the board. Her waxing prices are more expensive than high-end waxing places like Uni K Wax, despite having much lower hygiene standards(she dips the same wooden waxing spatula into the wax machine and reuses it until she can't use it anymore). I was charged $30 for underarms, whereas it costs $25 at Uni K, and half legs with a "deal" cost $55, while it costs $50 at Uni K. The only thing that was better was eyebrow threading. read more

Abhorrent customer service. Insulted me to no end since I sat in the chair. Insulted my regular eye brow salon. Accused me of tweezing my eyebrows. Told me I had no eyebrows to begin with. And once irritated enough, I had to speak up for myself. In return-- Called me privileged. Calling someone privileged is racist. The shop owner and daughter antagonized me since I sat down and the daughter muttering under her breath was totally out of line which cause most of the frustration, clearly unprofessional. Clearly they don't take customer service seriously because they did not try to address my concerns yesterday and write defense statements in return. No manners were provided since the beginning of the service as I stated I wanted the eyebrows cleaned up. Not any smaller. Their responses are defense stating I have no eyebrows. It's extremely aggressive to insult a PAYING customer. There's an eyebrow salon on every corner of Bergen line and plenty of more professional, quick courteous and polite options to choose from or return to. Simply decided to try this business since it was steps away from the NJ light rail, but evidently it was a terrible mistake. read more

Very disappointed. Was a very loyal client for years, just to be given attitude. Customer service definitely needs to be worked on and I'm taking my money elsewhere. In response: nobody was rude other than you. Online it clearly states 11am, if that's not correct then change it. All I did was ask what time you open and you responded with "12" which is a complete lie, and proceeded to show me on google that it says 11:30, but on Apple Maps it says 11am. Sounds like a you problem. Also don't try to say nobody complains about the customer service when I see other people agree. Nobody ever demanded you to open up earlier, I simply wanted to know what time you guys open. I kindly let you know that it was a different time online because it can be confusing to customers so I was trying to help you out by giving a heads up. Here's a screenshot because there's nothing I hate more than liars. Please let me know what customer was demanding and being rude? You guys say anything to make yourselves look better but in reality you're digging yourselves deeper. Fahima did my eyelash extensions and absolutely slayed them. I have gotten my eyelashes done multiple times before at different places and never had them look and feel this good. I got my lashes done today , I must say the hospitality and service is amazing ! During my appointment she continued to ask if I was okay and how my eyes were adjusting to the lash adhesive . I initially made my appointment for 10am I texted the lash tech and told her I would be 5min late she told me not to worry because she was also running late. She didn't start working on my niece's lashes till after 10:30. An hour into the service I asked how much longer before she finished (my niece had another appointment at 12pm) She replied to me with an attitude and asked me why. The entire time she was eating, drinking and chatting on the phone. Completely unsanitary. the two ladies started blaming me and arguing witfor being late when in actuality I ended up not being late. Horrible customer service/attitude. Very unsanitary to say the least! 1000x rather pay the professional service fees than to pay for cheap services. Also most importantly a lash service should never feel uncomfortable. My niece told her she felt discomfort and she told her it was normal. Absolutely a lie. You should never feel any discomfort, burning or pinching. Then they were upset because I threw my drink in their garbage. She tied to make me take the garbage out. Like wthhhh!! She initially told me my deposit would also be deducted from my service and at the time of payment she wanted the full amount. I paid the difference and walked out. You are 100% lying I did not rush her. I asked how much longer it would be once time and I got a nasty attitude. I texted and said I would be 5min late (trying to have courtesy of your time which you clearly didn't have any when it came to mine). At 10:18 I got a text back saying you were looking for parking. Therefore YOU were late. I didn't make a mess I threw my garbage in the TRASH you were upset about and I paid cash. There was a customer present and she is a witness other than my niece and myself. You had a prom special for $85 that you tried to lie and say it was a "last month special" when in fact it was posted on May 9th. Below is a picture of the time I texted you that I arrived....10am sharp!!! I don't care about the report. I have proof attached to this review and I will gladly show up to the police station to further show more proof that I am correct. Also my niece is under age and you posted her without my consent. I came here for the first time. I also was out of the town at the moment, and I'm used to the salons in Manhattan and Queens. I arrived at 11:35 and walked out at 12. My only two drawbacks were the time it took to have threading done for upper lips (wax and threading) and eyebrows (threading.) Usually, it's a 7-10 minute process. My second drawback is that it took the owner, Amber, not "Aunty," to wear her mask as she was walking around without one situating in until she approached me. I shouldn't see a person's full face in 2021 for now. Given the fact they opened up three months ago, I do wish them well in their business! Update:2:17pm Received harassment calls 7x Spoke to someone who claimed of being on healthcare worker and is a manager of Superbrow. She used unprofessional language and decided to "delete me from Yelp" and some profanity. As someone who is in the healthcare industry, along with considering mental health this was highly a red flag. She also refused to give me her name. She also claimed that there's a witness of one who saw her wearing her mask- this was around 11:56. Luckily because of covid there's a log of customers and timings with temperatures. This is someone who is also immunocompromised. The owner Amber, yelled at me on the phone shouting that I'm a very bad client because of my review. I just left Amber's Salon after getting my eyebrows and upper lip threaded and I am extremely pleased. I am an extremely picky person when I comes to my brows and do not let just anyone touch them. When I met Amber at Super brow In North Bergen, NJ I immediately fell in LOVE with her work. Out of all of the women, she was clearly the BEST. When she opened up her own shop, I just had to follow her because NOBODY is as detailed as her. I spent years in NYC, Jersey City, and North Bergen/West New York looking for someone like her after my original place shut down. Safe to say that I will only be coming here. This place is super clean!!! There services are amazing. The lash tech is super sweet and she makes sure your lashes are done good and asks if everything is how you want it.
