I had a very bad experience at Ambreen Salon in May 2019 . I got chemical burns on my scalp when I got my hair colored by Ambreen. They were so bad , I was bleeding throughout the night and had to go to the doctor next morning. She didn't know what she was doing and that's why I suffered. I still have the scars on my scalp. She bleached my hair twice in one sitting. Every hair stylist knows not to do that. She was very forceful to do that. I'll never recommend her to anyone unless someone wants to go to the emergency room!!!! read more

Went in on a spur of the moment urge to get my eyebrows threaded. Alright, let's be honest, I was driving out of my work lot and realized I had eyebrows inching up my forehead like the freaking Third Reich in WWII. It was bad. Poland bad. Anyway, I found this place close to my apartment and was excited to read all the positive reviews and they were ON POINT. It's in a big shopping center right at Custer/McDermott in a cute little shop that does hair cuts, waxing, and threading. I swear I was in here 15 mins beginning to end AND that was after waiting for the girl ahead of me to finish. The woman who did my eyebrows was fast, but gentle, and they looked amazing! Okay here's the low down, while it's true the owner seems to have a preference to her regulars and wants them prioritized, I'am glad my stylist, Ella ( sweetest little thing) I'am 5'9 so everyone is smaller, stuck to her guns and insisted to finish me first. The actual blow dry was pretty amazing, considering I have hoarse thick hair. I would come in here again just for Ella. The wash was the most relaxing experience, got a massage while waiting for my conditioner to settle in ***18th August ** Update, came back 2 weeks later for another blow dry still pretty amazing and my appointment was right on time.. No waiting period... Tried the eyebrow and upper lip threading today and from a normally screaming panic pain chicken I generally am.. this was pretty painless.... Came in for henna and had to wait for 4 hours before being served. The owner of the salon kept pushing back our wait time because she was letting her clients/friends go ahead of us which is extremely rude and inconsiderate as we had already been waiting for hours. That kind of behavior is beyond unprofessional and unacceptable. Not only that, the employees looked well beyond exhausted and frustrated at the way the salon was being run. Honestly this salon is a mess I wouldn't recommend it unless you support businesses that take advantage of underage employees and has poor time management skills. I don't know about most people but I'd like to be in and out of a salon for something as small as henna in about an hour not an entire day later. I was very unhappy with the threading work done by Ms. Ambreen from my last visit! She was careless and just did it quickly and poorly. I asked only to clean up and she thinned out and also shortened them It takes time to grow out ones eyebrows to the shape you want and she messed mine up after getting them in good shape!! read more

Came here today and waited for Ambreen to do my brows, but she was too busy on a personal call. After waiting for 10 min, she yelled to the employee saying "I'm on a call, I can't do her brows" so the employee said she could do mine. Annoyed, I said okay and told her to keep it THICK and now I have the THINNEST brows and they don't even match!!! So pist, won't ever go here again. Ambreen is absolutely wonderful. Came to get my eyebrows threaded and I am very picky when it comes to my eyebrows. Asbreen was very professional and did a magnificent job. Just moved here from Cali and took me 2 months to find this spot. Probably won't go anywhere else. She has other associates that do eyebrows as well and with the way she runs her business I know she only hires the best. I'm positive they do a great job as well. Side note: They have their own make up line that they're launching. Had a beautiful purple that Asbreen was wearing. Loved it so much I may come back for it. Of course they sell their own eyebrow powders as well. Definitely a one stop shop for your eyebrow and beauty needs. :) read more

The receptionist doesn't understand English very well. I called and asked her if I could come in for a blowout and that I could be there I could be there in 10minutes as I was right down the street she said no problem that she could take me right away so I rushed right over and when I got there everyone was busy and she said it would be at least a half hour.... frustrated I left. read more

I moved out of state, and still wait to get my eyebrows done from Ambreen whenever I am in the Plano/Allen area. Ella did my very picky teenage son's hair. And she did an exceptional job and was able to satisfy all his requests. His hair is not easy to do, and I've been to many salons that were unable to make him happy. Good job Ambreen salon! I will definitely be going back every month with my son! It has been 3 months since the last time i got my brows threaded and so I thought it's time to get them cleaned up. FYI, my eyebrows are ok (not too thin, not too thick) I mean they are not perfect but you know I have a good amount of brow hairs. Anyway, I checked yelp first to see where is the best place to get them done (as the one I usually go to is a hit or miss). Ambreen's seems to have a pretty decent review (4 Stars) so I went there. Everyone seems to rave about Ambreen but guess what she did my eyebrows and they are uneven. I even opt to get them tinted but it made it look even worse! When I pointed out to Ambreen that my left brow is thinner than the right brow she said my brows are already like that. Ok, so I know I don't have the best or perfect eyebrows but isn't her job is to clean them up and make it look somewhat ok? UGH! To think that I paid $20 + tip makes me even more mad. Now I have to wait for them to grow again :( Lesson learned! Not going back EVER!!! I don't recommend this place but if you still like to try them please go ahead. read more

Went to do henna and kept getting pushed back in line because the owner dragged in other customers to her salon while many of us were already waiting and gave them time to be serviced before us. The management is horrible here and doesn't show much regard for their employees either as the women doing henna seemed very exhausted with little to no time to rest between clients. I have been with Ambreen for years now. She is really the best in what she does, be it facials, threading, waxing, hair treatments etc etc...Her facials help heal my very acne ridden skin. Her team of hair specialists do a fantastic job with color and cut. And Ambreen is there to review and help them and the clients make a decision if needed. You get what you pay for!! The two stars are for the eyebrows threading which is nicely done most of the time I have been here. However, the ladies out there barely greet you when you walk in or keep waiting!.....Saw the nice haircut pictures on yelp and thought of giving this place a try for haircut.....Big mistake. Mallika who gave me a short layered cut.......completely ruined my hair and now I have to live with an awful looking crown for another couple of months till the hair grows back and can can get a decent haircut elsewhere!! Went here in a rush to find somewhere close by for a quick eyebrow/ lip fix. Staff did not take their time at all, and overall rushed me out of their salon. Along with a poor quality job, they waxed my friends lip twice, and burnt her. We went in the next day and showed them the burnt/ bleeding skin and we were given attitude and hardly a refund, 3 weeks later and her face is still scarred.... wasn't very happy. Lol read more

Horrible service! I DO NOT recommened this place AT ALL! Went in to get my eyebrows done and specifically asked her (Ambreen) to keep my eyebrows thick. She instead thinned out my left eyebrow, while my right is still thick. And while she was doing my threading she was constantly on the phone talking to family members and not really paying attention. When I looked at my eyebrows and pointed out what she had done, she started arguing with me that my eyebrows were already like that. Except I see my eyebrows in the mirror everyday and they were not thin. She was not willing to accept her mistake and was rude and was not listening to what I was saying. read more

Worst service I have ever received. A couple months ago, one of the employees completely thinned out my eyebrows when I had specifically asked to keep them thick. I complained immediately because I had made it clear that I did not want her to thin the shape. I told Ambreen and she said she will fix it and ultimately thinned out the tail to make the front look thicker. It was such a complete disaster. I told her right up front that I will not pay for such a horrible job especially when I had told the employee to keep them thick in the first place. Unfortunately this is the closest place to my house so over new year's Eve, I was short on time so I thought I would go in again and request a different employee. Ambreen did them herself this time and while the eyebrows turned out fine, she had the worst attitude and was so rude. She was asking why I bothered to come back and started talking to her other employees about how I had received service and refused to pay last time as if I tried to get service for free. She is the worst person I have ever dealt with at a beauty salon and I will never recommend her to anyone. read more
