I also requested a full refund which they said they would. Hey guys I just want to share my terrible experiences that I have suffered from Merum Face Bar on Watters Creek, Allen. I came in on Friday for a relaxing facial massage which supposed to be gentle - no harsh chemical peel or laser. During the facial, I did notice a burning sensation on my face so I immediately told her and she took the pumpkin enzyme off and it calmed down. It was over an hour facial and they should have noticed my irritation during the process and could have stopped the facial. I also communicated with them clearly about my skin type and the products I have been using. I have combination/oily skin and my skin is not sensitive at all. I never had any allergic reaction to any skin care products I have bought from Sephora/Spa/Clinic etc in my whole life. I also get facial at different spas once in a while but this never happened before. Now they are telling me to seek professional help as there is not much they can do. I am traumatized looking at my face right now. I could not see a dermatologist on the weekend and still do not know if anyone can squeeze me in next week so my anxiety is crazy right now.... Also, They don't even offer me any post facial cream to help with the irritation. No offer to issue a full refund on this traumatized experiences. I was using the excuse of having upcoming engagement pictures as a reason to get my lashes done and maintaining refills until our pictures. Yes, pictures are done. And yes, I'm still going in for fills! Everyone I've encountered here is so sweet and very educated on the ins and outs of lash extensions. Brittany and Amy both do fabulous jobs. The first set took a little over 2.5 hrs (I got the "dramatic look") and each set of (basic) refills is about an hour. It's actually quite a relaxing process. It's a great way to pamper/reward yourself and get a little me-time every two to three weeks. They're so easy to maintain and the only fall-out I experience is when my own lashes naturally shed. Whatever glue they use here is awesome! I absolutely love having eyelash extensions. I get so many compliments on my lashes and every single time I've ever told someone they're extensions, they are truly surprised and comment on how natural my lashes look! Another bonus-- it takes barely any time for me to get ready for work in the mornings now. I just powder my face, add a tiny bit of eyeliner, and out the door I go. My eyes always look "ready." And it looks like each stylist is free to charge whatever they like. Sheri Salon takes pride on their good prices. So if they are proud of their good, or fair pricing, $250 for very short hair highlights is excessive. As far as the haircut goes, it looks like she did a good job and I am getting compliments. But I cannot forgive her for wanting to charge me $250 to highlight my hair. The story does not end here. Prices are inconsistent at this place. One stylist said she would charge $45 for the haircut that I got. But I ended up with another stylist who did the job. She charged me $60. It was a precision haircut, so I paid the $60. Another client would have made a scene. These people need to set their prices straight. No games, no fooling around, and no extreme overcharging. I also feel uncomfortable when a stylist speaks to another stylist while they are working. My stylist was talking to another stylist two chairs away. This is never a good vibe. Stylists should only talk to their clients and concentrate on their job. This is no easy task and requires 100% concentration and dedication.
