Definitely noticed the artwork when I walked in. Cute little spot. I was able to order and get great recommendations from the barista. Almost decided on the Vietnamese iced coffee but I wanted to try something different, yet still strong. I asked and was recommended the Spanish latte. So I got that and added in a pump of vanilla. It turned out really good and I really enjoyed it. My friend got the matcha latte with banana cold foam and she liked that as well. Love checking out other small coffee shops when I'm out of town!
So mad that I slept on this place for so long. I have seen this place on several Wilmington groups that I follow and just never made it down there. Went for a walk at the waterfront park and decided to finally stop by. I had their Vietnamese, coconut coffee and strawberry Matcha. The Vietnamese coffee hit so hard. It was the perfect blend of coconut and coffee. Not too overpowering. I could not put it down. The Matcha was delicious as well, but honestly, I couldn't think of anything else, but the Vietnamese coffee. Parking is limited and it can be a little sketch outside. Inside is very cozy plenty of seating. The staff was very friendly. It was my first time there and I had a lot of questions and the gentleman answered them very nicely to make sure my drink was exactly what I wanted. Didn't wait too long to get my drink. Their menu has so many different items. I will definitely be back to try more.
This is a really nice, chill spot to hang out or do work at. I enjoyed the ambiance and aesthetics of the shop. There is limited parking in the small lot in front. I tried the almond agave latte because their alternative milks are really pricey at $1.25 extra cost. I thought the drink was solid, it tasted pretty watery at first from the melted ice but it was better after mixing. My friend got the matcha latte and I thought it was mediocre because the matcha flavor wasn't very strong and tasted more milky.
The space has plenty of seating whether you're there to work, study, meeting, or just relaxing. There is a lot on the menu to choose from, but wether you come hungry or thirsty you are guaranteed to find something you like. The cortado was smooth and very spot on. I'd recommend it to anyone. Pastries were very delicious, muffins were full of nuts not just on top but in every bite and they come from an amazing nonprofit organization. That Bánh mì sandwich had a bread that tasted so fresh, good-quality, soft inside with the perfect crunch on the outside. Spanish latte was just okay for me; I wasn't a huge fan of the syrup they used, and it didn't have any cinnamon (not sure if I needed to ask for it). Customer service: It did take a little while to get served and get my order down but totally worth the wait. Most busy places would notice you and say, we will be with you in a minute, but here I had two girl in the back notice me and kept working on drinks and other kept cleaning, Shoutout to Ethan who was an awesome barista who saw me and had great customer service. Overall though, this place checks so many boxes we'll definitely be back.

The honey vanilla latte couldn't taste the honey tho, and the vanilla bliss latte with oat milk. All were not too strong. For pastries got the cheese danish it was good also the chocolate croissant. Both were big sizes and warmed up nicely. All in all good for a one time try.
A couple days ago was my first time at Ambrosia Coffee with my best friend. I got the Strawberry Matcha Latte it was very good and tasty. I also got a Grilled Ham and Cheese sandwich which was bomb. I will definitely be going back again soon. I definitely recommend Ambrosia to any coffee lovers and people that need a place to study or get out. The service was great and pretty fast. The inside was clean, also very cute decorated for Valentine's day. A lot of spots to sit out and hang around with people, 10/10 spot.
For the last week I've been in the mood... for a Cortado. There are a few places nearby to choose from and this time around we went with Ambrosia , located in a teeny, tiny, very small shopping center in Wilmington. Ambrosia is a little gem and absolutely worth it. Definitely a major upgrade to the neighborhood. They have a nice assortment of beverage offerings to choose from. We've come here before and so far it's always been a good choice. You can even make a little artwork on a post-it while you wait, then post it on the short counter wall. Like last time... the cortadito and honey lavender latte were perfect.

What a hidden gem. Visited on a Sunday. Parking is limited (very few spaces in a shared parking lot). The outside was unassuming but the inside was nicely decorated with art from local artists displayed, personalized notes from past patrons, and plenty of seating. Whoever was in charge of their playlist deserves extra kudos. Ordered the honey rose latte. It took a while to be served and when received, it was more honey and very sweet. Probably would order something else if I were to visit again.
I've been coming to Ambrosia since shortly after it opened, and it's become one of my favorite spots--not just for the coffee, but for the people. The energy here is always warm and welcoming, and the baristas truly make it special. I want to give a special shoutout to Ethan, who consistently goes above and beyond. Every time I visit, Ethan is incredibly kind, attentive, and always takes the time to craft my drink perfectly. You can tell he genuinely cares about the quality of what he's serving and the experience of every customer. His attention to detail and friendly conversation make every visit feel personal and appreciated. Ambrosia is more than just a coffee shop--it's a community. I've never been here before but the inside is sooo cool and I love all the art inside and the vibe is perfect for a coffee shop. There's people here working on their laptops and minding their business. The hot chocolate with whip cream is BOMB. Their coffe cake muffin takes me back to my childhood. I will be coming back. 10/10

Wow! We were blown away by this coffee shop. Lots of space to sit and enjoy. The brown sugar bliss is a must. Not too sweet and did not need an extra shot like I always order at cafes. Such a beautiful space! Small parking lot, tight spaces (bigger cars take note!) LOTS of seating. Service was great, so happy they had a most popular menu because I like to order what they do best when I visit new places. The staff were so nice and friendly. I'm a regular here and usually have a great experience, but this time was a little off. I ordered the Pumpkin Spice Latte with oat milk, and it looked and tasted nothing like what's shown on the menu. It had almost no coffee flavor more like a horchata with cinnamon. Didn't get much of a caffeine kick either. I also noticed some new staff at the counter, so maybe it was just a one-off. Still a fan of this place overall, just wanted to give honest feedback on this drink. read more

Love this spot! I've been 4 or 5 times now and the quality of the coffee has been consistently delicious. I do wish though, there was a little more coffee and a little less foam. Nice staff and customer service. read more

Average drinks, good pastries and seating. Limited and tight parking which resulted in a door dent from someone who wasn't careful. Located in a very small shopping strip. Staff was nice and polite. They dont give you a receipt unless you ask for it and arent abel to text it to yourself because screen goes black after payment. read more

Service was fast can't complain but the Spanish latte I got was mid and overpriced for $8 don't recommend it. All milk didn't taste the caffeine at all. read more
WOW!!!!! Im not sure what to say. I've driven by this place mostly when it was closed. ( after hours) I thought this was just another closed small business. I happened to see a post mentioning his place on IG. I immediately bookmarked it. I visited on. Sunday morning the parking lot was full but I found parking on the street. There was a small line but we were quickly helped. I had looked at the menu before hand and sadly what I saw was not on the menu. I mentioned I saw a vanilla caramel latte on the menu online and was excited to try it. She mentioned they can still make it. I was so excited. My son looked over the menu and inquired about the Spanish Latte and ended up ordering a small. Our drinks came out quick even with the number of people that were in line. My coffee was AMAZING!!!! I tasted my Son's and WOW it was AMAZING too. Love supporting a small local business. I will continue to visit this coffee shop. You should definitely try it! read more

We were in the area so we tried out this coffee shop located in a small plaza. There isn't much parking but fortunately that wasn't an issue. The place had good ratings and we can see why. The cashier was friendly and I really enjoyed my coffee; it wasn't overly sweet and it definitely woke me up. read more

I was fighting the urge to chug my matcha because of how delightful it was. I normally don't like lavender but I loved this. The coffee was amazing too, the quality reminding me of one of my favorite Yemeni cafe's back home (they know how to make really good coffee). It was a bit hard to communicate with the barista since the kiosk was very tight, but it wasn't too bad. The store looks very cute though, a good study spot if you live in the area. read more

Ambrosia Cafe is a gem tucked in a little strip mall. Approaching the entrance, its outward appearance can be offsetting. Once you enter however, you'll find that the interior is warm, cozy and inviting. Staff is friendly, attentive and welcoming. We ordered three drinks - Iced Spanish Latte (not pictured), Iced Wildberry Hibiscus Tea, and Iced Pumpkin Spice Sweet Cream Matcha. All three drinks were a hit and delicious! The hibiscus tea was refreshing (even on a fall day) Spanish latte was a perfect classic - creamy, with the right amount of sweetness and spice. Their seasonal fall drink was good too! Matcha wasn't grassy in flavor (although a deep matcha flavor is my personal preference). The food and pastries were delicious too. The bahn mi bread and bagel bread were SO, soft and fluffy. The baguette wasn't cutting the roof of my mouth like I've had at other Vietnamese places. The bagel was soft and fluffy but with just enough bagel chewiness. The only thing missing is a larger parking area - not in their control but figured it's worth mentioning since it's a tight space & may be filled up when you pull in! We enjoyed our drinks! I especially liked the strawberry matcha. I like that they give you a little coconut cookie with your coconut drinks, a nice little sweet treat. The service was quick and the staff were friendly! There's a lot of seating but the parking lot is small. Still, I do recommend stopping by if you're in the area! read more
Great place with great drinks and food! I love the interior, it provides a nice spot to chill and do any work you may need with free wi-fi offered. I love the variety of beverage and food options. The highlight of this trip was definitely the jalapeño bagel sandwich, super delicious. The staff is also very welcoming and nice. Whenever I'm back in town, I HAVE to go to ambrosia. When I have guests over and they want coffee, I take them here. Ambrosia has such a unique and wide selection of coffee and they're all delicious. Their horchata latte, Spanish latte, and coconut Vietnamese coffee are some of my favorites. The workers are all really chill and nice and sometimes (I believe the owner is John) will give me a shot on the house because he's just for the community!! It's a beautiful space inside with plenty of space to work, lounge, stick up post-its :) the only thing is that the wifi never works for me as much as I've tried trouble shooting it but that doesn't stop me from coming here haha. read more

Ambrosia is one of those coffee shops you'll always go back to. Their menu selection has many options and something for everyone! The service is always great, with the workers always open to questions. The wait was a bit long (but expected since it was 4 drinks) and they had a couple of customers inside already. The coffee shop decor feels modern, but cozy at the same time. I love their post-it note display! The parking is not very good though. I always go early in the morning to avoid having to deal with the small parking lot chaos. The pastries were tasty and the drinks were delicious! Their strawberry matcha is the right amount of sweet and it's a good mix between the two. The horchata blended had good flavor. The honey rose citrus tea was missing the rose topping, but the drink was good nonetheless! The pink drink separates pretty quickly, but with the mix it is expected. Loved the peach flavor! I love supporting small businesses, but what I liked most about the shop is their community involvement. Their instagram shows they are always at local community events and are always showing their support for the Wilmington community. Their wall of community flyers introduces customers to the different businesses and events around the city. Love the drinks and pastries, and their community support! read more

Tried this spot today. The drink I ordered was the Brown Sugar Bliss with sweet cream topping. The drink was realllyyyy good. I would come back and try this drink. The coffee shop is really cute as well. The service was great and quick. read more
