This company was recommended by a neighbor after our move to the area and we have used them for four years now. After they were taken over by Las Vegas Pest Control it has been one problem after another. They threatened to send us to colllections for missing one payment when our billing had never changed - error was on their end. Now, we had to hear from a neighbor they will be spraying every other month but continue to charge the same amount. Only saving grace is our technician, Mike. After calling the company and telling them the only reason we stick around is Mike they were able to honor our current rate. Will still be exploring other options as it just seem like a matter of time before the next snafu. read more

First, all glory to God! So we started seeing ants (inside kitchen & door leading to the backyard from the kitchen) & all your summer critters here in Las Vegas, especially living next to a mountain. We knew it was time to find someone who specializes in pest control & licensed. Just so happened, my unbelievable/loving wife was looking through the 89148 magazine (The Coupon Book) & suggested of calling Ambush Pest Control. The next day I called & from the start, their receptionist Lani, was extremely helpful rendering prudent information on their services & answered all my questions proficiently. My appointment was set for the next day. On the next day, Ambush Pest Control technician Angel call's to confirm his appointment & is here on time (UNBELIEVABLE)! While treating the outside/inside of our home, he explains in detail the chemicals he is using & what bugs/critters are common around our area. I enjoyed our conversation & intrigued how much he knew at his age. Upon leaving, Angel tells me if we see any bugs to please call him & he'll come back out. Well, we did & he just left our home. So far, we are impressed with Ambush Pest Control & recommend them to anyone. The deal we got is $25.00 a month for six (6) months, continuously with no initiation fee. I really don't like leaving bad reviews for companies but I have to express myself here. I was referred to this company to help with my scorpion problem and a very friendly technician showed up with a canister of poison that was probably similar to do it yourself scorpion treatment that I had bought from Lowe's the day prior. He was in and out in less than 10 minutes. I walked outside after 8 minutes expecting to see him still hard at work to ask a question and he was already in his truck wrapping up paperwork. I asked how effective the treatment was and he said he used it himself and that I would probably see dead scorpions and other dead bugs later that night. Well all I saw was a live scorpion in my backyard that night and nothing else. This company is probably good for standard pest control and they are priced extremely well to be competitive but I don't think they specialize in scorpion treatment although they say they do. What this guy did compared to what the saleslady told me on the phone what would be done was like night and day. I have an elderly mom that lives with me and cannot take chances on one of these things stinging her, so I had to drop this company after the first treatment. I'm really thankful that when I called and explained why I was cancelling, they were understanding. I'll just have to check the mail and see if I receive an early termination bill in which I plan to dispute if I do. I was not given the service I was promised. read more

I moved into a home that was vacant for almost 2 months and so there was an infestation of roaches in our backyard and spiders and scorpions coming from somewhere. Our property manager sent these guys and they supposedly sprayed inside and out. it took the dude less than 15 minutes to spray my entire house...inside and out, downstairs and upstairs. And of course nothing....ROACHES- still there. SPIDERS- still there. SCORPIONS- still there. I have two little ones so I take that stuff seriously, not to mention I HATE BUGS! So yeah. No bueno en mi casa! I called another pest control company and the next day there were bug carcasses everywhere! and no more walking bugs anywhere! read more

I would give zero stars if I could!! Poor service and worse customer service. They came out, spent less than 10 mins in and outside and left, next month , no show, very inconsistent . I paid to date. They use pesticide that you can buy on Ebay for $30 a bottle (will last 2 years) it's called Suspend. If you don't believe me look it up and ask them what kind that you use. The service is terrible as they have what seems to be a high turnover. I wanted to like this place, I really did but their prices are outrageous. The technicians are super nice but i'm not going to pay a big amount of money for easily accessible pesticides. read more

I was blowen away when Ambush Pest Control started telling me how it was going to be. They have adopted the attitude that if you want to do business with Ambush it's going to be there way..and could care less if you leave them or not. One star is too many. After 10+ years as a loyal customer we were told that they could no longer service our home. Reason: the tech who had been coming to our home from the beginning left and the tech they replaced him with had an attitude from day one. After several years of ignoring his attitude, on his last visit for the season he decided to mouth off at me when I asked him to spray a particularly troublesome area of my property. I told him I wasn't going to be treated or spoken to that way and complained to the company. When we called to restart our service when the weather turned warm I specifically asked them not to send this tech to my home because of what happened. They told me that the tech had already stated he did not want to come back here. I explained the situation again and even though we were loyal customers for so many years they sided with the tech. The only thing I can say is that the boss was nice enough to recommend some other company to us that we have started using and we are extremely satisfied. I guess customer loyalty, on time payments and the fact that you don't want to be verbally attacked by an employee makes the customer the loser. read more

Can't Be Trusted For more than a year, I used Ambush, and the service was marginal. The problem was scheduling. I would get a call 24 hours before they wanted to spray, never on the same day each month. If I could be home, they would spray inside and out. If I couldn't, they would only spray outside (I think). I called the company to complain and work something more predictable out, only to discover that they charge for spraying outside only. They apparently spray indoors as a "favor." That was news to me! The very next cycle, I got a call from the technician, and I informed him that I wouldn't be home the next day, but might be the day after. He told me he would call to confirm which he never did. Yup, they showed up anyway and sprayed outside only, so I threatened not to pay. The tech had the audacity to call me to tell me I was a liar, and that he never promised to call. I fired them but they billed me for the service anyway. Do you really want a technician in your home who would lie? Seriously? read more

We were customers of Ambush for close to 12 years. We had an unfortunate incident with our credit card info being stolen and didn't realize when canceling that card number that our monthly payment came out of that account. Once realizing it and then paying the past due balance of $35, we were told that we would no longer be able to receive service because we had a past due balance. We never once received any statement, letter or any notification but we're told that they called us. This is unfortunate and bad business and I'm sad to lose a company that we were faithful to for over 10 years. read more

Poor customer service and communication. First visit went well and the employee Dean scheduled with me for the next month explaining that he services this area the third Friday every month in the morning. So I stayed home and waited. After a couple of hours I called their office to ask when Dean was coming. I was told the office would call him and have him call me. I waited another couple of hours and no call. So I called the office back and they said he was having trouble with his phone. (The trouble is he doesn't use it or value other people's time). He was in the office at the time so I spoke to Dean directly. He told me my neighbor had rescheduled her appointment so he figured I wanted him to come out on the same day she did. Why would I schedule my time around my a neighbors?!?! Lame and lazy. As a registered nurse/RN my time is very valuable. This company is unprofessional and immature. And yes they did charge me the $50 early termination fee. Don't sign anything with them. They have a lot of nerve wasting my time and blowing off our appointment. read more
