I haven't been to this theatre in so many years because it was really in bad shape. They have definitely cleaned it up nicely and upgraded to some amazing chairs in the Theater...almost too comfortable. With the Arizona heat, cool temps inside and cozy chairs I could've fallen asleep so easy. If it wasn't an action movie I think I would've lol. Early matinee prices are awesome, but for two drinks and some nachos you'll be out over $20. It's to be expected these days. The theater is in the mall so it can get very busy at times, but there is never a lack of parking unless you are trying to get right in front of it. I'll definitely be back more now that I know how nice they've made it. read more

The theatre itself is super nice and comfy, but the snack bar is ALWAYS out of their food choices and if they do have the food, they are out of the items that go on top and sauces to dip it in. You're not allowed to bring your own food and drink in, but they have barely any available options. This is an all the time thing and it kind of ruins the experience read more

Saw a movie in theater five today and when the other movie started in the Dolby sound theater next to my theater started; it echoed loudly into our theater. The app worked well for ticket purchase and food delivery was great. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They have recliner seats! read more

I can't remember what movie we saw here last December while visiting my family, but I do remember how awesomely comfortable we were. It was a fantastic surprise when we walked in and saw the large, heavily padded and reclining seats for our averagely priced matinee showing. Other than my visits to Muvico, which you do pay extra for, I don't recall more comfortable or spaced out seating for such a great price. We had arrived, livin' large! ;) They let us choose our seats when we purchased our tickets, which I have seen before but usually at a premium ticket price, so as I said, this was a welcome surprise. The theater itself was quite bright and clean. My only complaint, which may or may not be the theater's doing, is the valet parking (at a mall, really?) was quite confusing. I parked and then my party headed in to meet the rest of our party, and on the way saw a valet sign near our row. It just wasn't clear and I felt I had to go move the car just in case. This is one of those malls where the parking lot is almost bigger than the mall itself and parking is always a hassle, and we were short on time. It was just unclear and inconvenient, but other than that, stellar movie experience! Oh, and the movie was The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, also excellent! This is my favorite theater in town. They have super comfy & cushiony seats made out of red leather. I can literally recline myself 180 degrees, and take a snooze. It's perfect to sit through long movies without hurting my back and bottoms. They have assigned seatings, so I never have to worry about arriving early to get the perfect seats. For popular movies that are recently released, many people book their tickets online ahead of time. The downside is there's an extra convenience fee of $3.00. This place is at a great location. It's right at Arrowhead Mall, so you can walk around and do a little shopping to kill sometime before the show. There's also a Starbucks next door to get some last minute caffeine in. read more

This review is based upon many visits over the past year. Last nite my husband arrived to see a move in in evening...it was a Wednesday nite..not busy.. plenty of staff. The bathrooms we're untidy, with toilets unflushed, toilet paper on the floors with unclean sinks. The trash was overflowing on the floor. Concession stand was cluttered with spilled japeleno juice and spilled salt. The concession attendant never said "hi" never greeted us. The floor was sticky with spilled soda by the beverage area with straw wrappers on the floors. Looking around I saw plenty of staff, standing around. No Hussle, No urgengy, no pride in the job they posess. Why? This is a upper management problem. Your business is only as good as your employees, and the employees reflect you! Don't play the blame game AMC! These kids need training and direction. Clean up your act! read more

First I'll say that the only reason this isn't a 1-star review is that they have some phenomenal seating available. Nice electric recliners with plenty of room are the only way to watch a movie! Unfortunately, these scumbags made us sit through 21 minutes of ads before the movie started. That's no exaggeration or guess--the movie was scheduled for 7:00 and started at 7:21. After paying for premium seats and the premium cost of food and drinks, making us sit through 21 minutes of ads is completely unacceptable. We won't be back again. Other premium theaters like iPic spare you from ads and start on time. We're all used to insanely over-priced popcorn, but at least at some theaters you get butter. Not so here, just some awful "butter flavor topping" that you can apply. read more

ABSOULTELY GROSS. The "cleaned" theatre was disgusting. Thank god we had sanitizing wipes to clean the chairs ourselves. There was napkins and food left in cup holders, leftovers all over the floor and WE had to go ask they turn the lights off as our movie was already started.. never again. read more

Surprisingly the most disgusting theater I've been in, at least in the way of the lobby, hall ways, drink fountains, and concession area. I made two trips to this theater and both experiences were the same. Went during day when it wasn't busy. Popcorn all over the floors. Trays under the hot butter dispenses full of yellow dried butter. Every surface of the soda fountains sticky. Even the lid dispensers stick and the gears of the doors holding the lid open and close poorly. Benches in the hallways dirty, sticky, and stained. Meanwhile there are employees just standing around in the lobby area. The concession area makes you think of a convenience store. All the candy is out on shelves, you have to butter and salt your own popcorn and you pour your own drink. This is all convenient however it leads to the dirty disgusting surfaces all over the place. I'm giving 2 stars because the seating isles are surprisingly clean compared to the rest of the theater. The nice leather power recliner seats are nice but make farting sounds as the pads move around and there are a good number of seats that are worn, ripped, or have broken cup holders with exposed screws. read more

Had some time to kill during the day on Monday and decided to come down here to watch a movie. I walked inside and went to the automated kiosks in order to purchase my ticket. I chose my movie (Jason Bourne) and noticed that it was giving me an option to select my seat (I had not read any previous reviews on this theater, so I did not know it was one of "those" theaters). I let the machine pick my seat for me and then was about to pay. $6.00! Yup! $6.00 for an individual, leather, power reclined seat at a movie theater! SCORE! It was the first show of the day (10:40am), but still....that is a HELL OF A DEAL for that type of seat at this kind of theater. The seat was comfy and reclined pretty far back. You could easily take a nap in these things. If I were a homeless person in/around Glendale, I would gather up $6.00 and come see a movie here just to escape the heat and to take a nap in a comfy ass recliner! The theater was clean, employees were friendly. I can definitely see myself coming back here to watch some more movies! read more

This theater has superior customer service! I was having issues trying to sign up for the A List rewards program online, so I went into the theater to see what can be done. Although they cannot help sign me up for the A-list there due to security reasons, they did everything they could to make this customer very happy! Alec did an amazing job helping us with our issue! Thank you so much for being awesome! Great news...I was able to sign up for the A- List reward program online today! They were having technical issues with the online sign up application. This theater has comfortable seats. That is the only reason I tolerate the overkill of the sound levels. If it is an action movie, I have to wear head phones to muffle the noise. Complaints to management do no good. In an adjoining theater, you can hear the loud movie over a quiet one. Unnecessary, negligent, apathetic management. read more

This movie theater makes you feel so spoiled when coming to the moves. Not only can we walk here but we love the lazyboy chairs and many choir of cola we can pick. It's nice you pick ur seats tons of room you don't have to worry about some idiot hitting the back of ur chair during a movie. I'm a huge fan of the AMC Esplanade but decided to check this location out as a possible alternative. If you're familiar with Esplanade seating, the seats are a hybrid of the Cinema Suites and the Fork & Screen seats. They were a little more comfortable than Fork & Screen but not quite as comfy as the Cinema Suites. There is nothing wrong with this theater but it's unlikely that I'll return because I truly am spoiled at The Esplanade. I'd also forgotten that the Cinema Suites showings don't allow children... a fact I remembered while we were seated next to noisy children at this theater. read more

Love this theatre! I always order ahead on Fandango and reserve our seats. I typically Grab a beer or mixed drink before we head in to our movie when it's just me and my wife. Love having the seats reserved and the large fully recliner leather seats are the best. They don't serve you like at ipic but that's the only thing missing, and I don't miss it. I like the big ass comfy recliners, but I always forget to bring a pillow, because when I lay back in these seats, I'm staring at the ceiling and not the screen. Remind me to bring some neck support next time, deal? Another drawback is that because of the extreme comfort, the ratio of people sleeping in the theaters is jacked way up and they're over there snoring, talking in their sleep and sleep-farting while you're tryna watch Star-Lord and Gamora's sexual tension as they save the galaxy. I get the $5 tickets for the first show on the Fandango App and just scan my phone and walk right into my reserved seats with no worries and that's how it should be. read more

This place is still the best place I know of. My AMC Stubs membership is so worth it and has saved me over $600 since I got it. My daughter and I do movies at least every other week and we rarely have any problems. If there is an issue in a theater, any staff member will get your info to a manager and they will be in there in no time to investigate and take care of it. read more

This is a nice remodeled theater with good recliners and all of the modern amenities. I wish it wasn't so much of a trek from the parking lot to the actual theater though. Be prepared to walk quite some distance. Great place to see a movie though if you want nice screens and nice reclining chairs. read more

If there was a zero star I would rate as negative zero. Pathetic disgusting dirty place. I literally had to go get napkins with hand soap and wipe the seats. When what you do is show movies, how can it be someone "forgets" to turn it on? We sat there for 20 minutes with nothing happening. No music - nothing! My husband went to the front to find out if there was a movie in our future and was told "we'll check". I got a coke and decided to add vanilla to it. Apparently it's been awhile since the machine had been cleaned because my Vanilla Coke tasted like fermented orange! Going to stick with Harkins in the future. Much better popcorn too! read more

Sad to say that this is one of least favorite location in the area. I live closer to the Deer Valley location but every once and while they have a showing that fits my schedule. I high suggest you buy your tickets online or on their phone app because showings fill up way before showtime. It doesn't hurt to be a part of their Stubs program though, if you see plenty of movies through the year then it pretty much pays for itself and your can collect points to get rewards like $5 off concession. Also it will waive the fee for buying your tickets online or on the phone app. Snack area is small, and pretty crowded. You can order your food on the phone app to help speed things up and have them take it to you in your theater. Drink area was pretty messy and sticky but I didn't mind as much since they have the Fresh Coke machine so that helps. Theater seating is great with the recliners but was a little warm for my liking. Wish they would pump more AC in there since the leather seats can get a little warm. This theater will do in a pinch but not my top choice. read more

One thing I love about the movie theater is popcorn! Hearing that "pop pop pop" is like the best part of walking into a theater!! Well... last night we went for a movie here. It was 9:20 pm and the sound of fresh popcorn was not present. Not even that mouth watering smell of fresh popped corn. The front of the house popper was completely off and perfectly cleaned out. Upon ordering popcorn, the worker goes to the back to retrieve it??? During the movie, eating my popcorn, it was apparent it was old. Near the bottom 2 inches was def bottom of the barrel old popcorn: small and broken with a slew of un-popped corn. See pic. I did have to get up and go to the concession stand to ask to replace that portion. Which they did. That's all I asked for, just a portion equivalent to the 2 inches of crap in the bottom. I think the manager (? As she did not address me) said fill it all up. The worker turned, went to the back, filled up the bucket and handed it to me. Then walked away. A very robotic transaction. I guess it just felt like this was a common occurrence. And no one cares about you getting bottom of the bin popcorn. Strangely I didn't want the popcorn after not seeing where it came from again. It had no warm heat to it at all. I left it. The atmosphere seemed like it was closing time at 9:20pm. Everyone was so busy cleaning and clearing that they forgot what customer service was? You're paying a lot for concessions just to have to go fill everything yourself and not even get a smile from the cup-passer-over-person. Not to mention the confusion of trying to fill your beverage cup and not having a spot to set your popcorn. Really weird. Other messy problems that I don't even feel like addressing. Ok, one I will, toilet paper in the ladies room is always appreciated. As we left it was quite interesting to see the gourmet popcorn being scooped into containers which were obviously for putting back out for sale tomorrow. I mean, we know they don't make fresh every day... but wow, aren't you suppose to wait till the guest leaves to do those closing duties? Being a movie going customer feels like being cattle these days. Movie was great, seats comfy... yet I must admit the theaters themselves are killing the theater experience for me. read more

If I could rate it lower, I would. One star seems like there was something good about our experience. We purchased our tickets online for a 6:15 PM show only to find out we had to wait in a line around 30 people deep to have them scan our QR code. They only had two people scanning and one was designated for rewards members only. After waiting 25 minutes, another guy came out and started scanning QR codes. The theatre was absolutely filthy! There was popcorn on the floor everywhere you walked. The wait in the concession line took another 25 minutes. Two of the three drink machines were out of ice and was out of multiple drinks. After getting to our seats we found dirty napkins in the cup holders and popcorn on the floor. Thankfully we had some wipes with us to clean the seats and cup holders. The recliners are aged and made loud noises when going up and down. The sound from the speakers was not great either. The bathrooms were filthy too and had paper towels over flowing onto the floor. In fact, every trash can in the theatre was over flowing. The carpeted floors were stained and everywhere you walked it was sticky. We will never return to this theatre, it was an absolutely disgusting venue to say the least. In fact, we threw our clothes in the wash immediately after returning home, we just felt dirty after being in this theatre. read more

Five starts for reclining seats and nice staff and you can get your own drinks from the machine. However, I have some considerations. Update 12/2016- The theater has been upgraded since my last review I am being told. If you go to this theater do not sit in the last row. I have no idea what the architect was thinking. They built a sneeze guard attached to the railing in the row right before the last row. I have no idea why they did this but it obstructs the view of the screen. If you are seeing a movie with subtitles it will really be a big issue. My pet peeve is with snack bar line short cutters. I love that they have the rope crowd control flow lines. I was excited to see this when I walked in today but someone still short cutted me and a long line of waiting folks. Grrrrrr!I have no idea what is so wrong with people who think this is okay. You can not see all the people waiting in line? I think they should put a staff member at the head of the line to control the flow or at least the workers should not help people who try to do that. Make them get in line like the rest of us. I get that some people do not notice their surroundings and are narcissistic, but really? Yes, to the dirty bathrooms for sure. The seats are very nice, the theater is smaller. I think however, I will stick with Harkins since it is a local company. This is not a bad place to go but nothing fancy either. read more

This is a really nice AMC theatre. The seats have been upgraded to the extremely comfortable recliners and they have a good selection of food and drinks. I got the cinnamon pretzel bites, which were delicious. They also have an icee machine at this location with the classic flavors. Customer service was fast and courteous. read more

Wait times for concessions are consistently too long here. On today's visit only two cashiers, plus soda machines were out of all diet bevs. Lobby carpets are totally gross, and so are restrooms. The Dolby theater is awesome and has even more upgraded seats. The only reason we come here vs Harkins at P83 is for Dolby. Now that Harkins has remodeled we mostly go there. They are much faster on concessions. read more

This is our most frequented theatre. Mainly because of the seats and the location. The problem with this location is it has so much potential but management is doing a horrible job. Every time I go it's disgusting. The trash is always overflowing. not just one trash but almost every trash can. We just were in this past Thursday and even the specific theatre trash had trash sitting on the floor next to it. You know the staff saw it because they had to clean up that theatre before the showing. This has been the standard for the last couple years, but the reason I am writing this review now is because halfway through the movie the lights turned on. Trash cans don't really affect my viewing experience but when you can't even make sure the lights stay off during showings then there is a major lack of oversight.. read more

I certainly understand the effect Covid has had on theater's. But.... 2nd movie in 3 weeks here that we have seen, first visit out of everything including coke. Second visit "Top Gun" which we were excited to see, wait at the snack stand 40 minutes with only 2 people working and a nearly sold out show. Ac was great and cool but so loud you couldn't hear the movie, literally I only heard the loud scenes, rest I had to make up and I don't read lips. Halfway in left to tell manager response was oh yeah theater 14 right. What you know people can't hear but you sold tickets anyway? Gave me 2 free passes fir another show that expire in 3 weeks. Place is dirty to boot! Harkins arrowhead is a much better choice. And I will send the "Free" passes back by mail with a note. read more

The theater did not have great customer service. The person scanning my app had no idea I had paid for my ticket with their A list program. The theater was not very clean and several of the seats were ripped and taped and in poor repair. Not in any hurry to come back to this location. read more
