Comfortable movie theater with awful first time ticket buying experience. We arrived about 20 minutes early because we needed to buy tickets and wanted popcorn. We are lucky we did. The kiosk weren't working properly, then everyone had to relocate to the inside to purchase tickets. Buying snacks was fine. Popcorn was fresh and they have the Freestyle machines. Seats are comfortable and allow you to fully recline. We didn't go to the bathrooms. We won't rushing back and we would likely buy our tickets beforehand if we do return. read more

Back years ago this opened as a United Artist. I went here for most of my movies. It was centrally located, and it was a nice enough place. Over the years UA didn't do a whole lot to it, and while it didn't fall into what I would call disrepair, it declined. No real updating that much, and about a year ago it was sold to Carolina Theaters. It was still first run, but I didn't have high hopes, then several months ago AMC bought it, and I figured it was still going to languish. Don't go to movies as often, but the other night couple of us decided we'd give the place a try, since I hadn't been here since AMC took over. To just go ahead and get it over with, holy crap, AMC has renovated and taken this place to the upper level. First thing I noticed, they have opened up, per say, the front of the building. New glass over the top front of the building, and the ticket counter is bright and easily visible. The heavy dark film over all the windows has been removed. Step inside, the concession stand and inside lobby has been redone, in a simple good way. It appears, (I didn't get a drink so I can't say for sure) that all drinks are now self serve, several of the coke, mix your own flavor vending machines, and an Icy machine are to the right of the counter. Walking into the theater, saw the new carpet and wall acoustic hangings, turned to go up for a seat, and comfort nirvana struck me. AMC gutted the theater, and installed big, HUGE, leather (didn't look "stimulated" to me anyway) seats, that are electrical, fully reclining! Plenty of room for people to get by even if the seats are fully reclined, and each row is separated by a short wall. Big armrests, cup holders, whoa mama, NICE! I had to be pried outta the chair when the movie was over. We went to the last show and as we were leaving they had a crew in there laying carpet. I asked someone about the status, and was told about 80% of the renovation was done, and that included upgrading every projector to digital. Oh yea, the BAR should be finished pretty quick too. Although I don't go to the movies as much, I think this is going to help that. I still like the location of this place, and when it started that slow decline it helped cut down on my desire to go. I'm not a big fan of the movies and food theaters. I just wanna grab a couple snacks and concentrate on my movie, not on trying to eat. With the renovations I hope it will raise this place back up to where it was when it opened. The Eastchase area isn't the high end type neighborhood, but in all the years I've seen movies here I've never had a problem inside, or outside, of the theater. This place is incredible. I love that you can reserve your seats beforehand. When you first walk into the place it is a very open, clean area. There are multiple stations that are open for snacks/popcorn. They have incorporated seasonings into their popcorn as well which is a nice touch. They have a bar off to the side for the adults to enjoy their movie experience just a little bit more. The theaters are all very clean and the reclining leather seats are PERFECTION. I have been to this theater twice so far and actually dozed off during both movies because I was so comfortable. I highly recommend this place!! read more

The theater isnt the nicest ive ever been too but its pretty good. Lots of parking, tickets were only 8.95$ ....it has a bar in case you want some wine. However, the concession stand lines are confusing and nobody seems to know where to go, also the popcorn machine broke when we got in line but got fixed by the time the previews came on. Seats are supper comfy, and fair warning they do assigned seats so its best to buy them in advance. I'd def come here again. read more

Great cozy place kinda felt like home a bit. The only bad thing is that some of the chairs are worn down and the drink area is sort of sticky! The people are nice and always with a smile. I don't know why this place has so many rave reviews. First off we get in line for concessions and they have one person manning two lines. The line for concessions is out of the door and not once did they had another staff person. We were able to make the movie on time but several people missed the first few minutes of the movie. Second cleanliness was horrible! The bathrooms smelled of urine two of the toilets were stopped up and paper towels were overflowing in the receptacle. There was popcorn all over our seats as well as trash from the previous show. We were the 1:45 pm show the December 26. There should have been enough staff to minimally clean the theater between showings. Unfortunately my experience tainted the movie we saw for the whole family. I will not visit this theatre ever again! read more

This AMC is my favorite movie theater!!! I have been going to this location since I was a young-kid, but it has gotten even better overtime. It is always clean in the seats AND the bathrooms. The best thing about this location is the fact that they have reclining chairs. You can laydown and watch a movie - what is better than that? I really like the fact they separate each chairs by two's so you and your significant other can pull up the arm chair in between to hold-hands/ snuggle (PG ONLY PEEPS - let's not be gross at the movies people). You also don't have to be RIGHT next to a stranger and fight over the other arm rest. The space is appreciated! I am a big fan of going to the movies there before noon on Sundays. The ticket prices are around $5.62 (before taxes and fees) for all their matinee's. That is a steal for me! One more plus is that you can reserve your seats online beforehand. No more arriving 30 minutes before a movie to get the spot you want! This theater ROCKS! read more

I would not recommend this theater I saw pet cemetery there and had to leave the theater a good 7min into the movie to remind them to turn the lights on. I went and saw the new men in black and again had do the same. It's down right annoying not to mention I missed a part of the beginning of the movie. When I spoke with the manager they only offered popcorn and a drink. Not enough to compensate for a repeat offense months apart. Will not recommend them!!! read more

This is my go-to movie theater! I used to always go to the Movie Tavern because of their cheaper ticket prices and they serve food. However, I pay a few dollars more and I get a much cleaner and better movie experience! First and most importantly, they have RECLINING seats. You can practically lay down and watch your movie. Also, the seats aren't so close together, the seats are big! So when someone sits next to you, y'all aren't fighting over the armrest! Secondly, you can reserve your seats online or at the theater. That really is convenient because you don't have to show up super early to try and find a seat in the dark! Third, they have a bar! It is stocked with a bunch of bottles and margarita machines! And the bartenders are always super nice! Lastly, all the employees from the ticket office, to concessions to the bar are very polite. I highly recommend this theater! We bought tickets online for a 10:30pm screening of Red Sparrow tonight. We arrived at 10:29. The doors were locked and the employees completely refused to even acknowledge our existence. Six other customers approached while we were there and the employees wouldn't come address any of us. An off duty employee finally came out to wait for his ride and told us that the theater was closed and that they weren't supposed to open the doors once they were locked. We asked to see a manager to ask some questions. He said that the manager never comes out and wouldn't give us the manager's name. We will be reporting our experience to the AMC corporate office. read more

i was in fort worth for a business meeting. decided to catch a movie. found this location and bought a ticket. cost was a bit much until I walked in and wow, leather everywhere. I went to my seat which was really easy to find. sat down and instantly got comfortable. the seats pull out and you have plenty of room to yourself. one thing I didn't like was the cup holders were every other seat. you shared an armrest and then the other armrest had a cup holder. other than that I really enjoy watching XXX here even though the movie was cheesy, im still a fan. now I'm a fan of amc eastchase 9!!! go check it out. read more

There's the rare occasion when I get to go see a movie before I head in to work. If that chance ever does come by, the AMC off of Eastchase in east Ft. Worth is the perfect place for me to come to. It's about a 10 minute drive to where I work, and during the day, the crowds are minimal. On this particular day, I stopped to see Godzilla. The movie wasn't as good as I expected it to be, but I won't hold that against the theater. It had been a minute since I was last inside this theater...I actually think that it was a Cinemark or something other than a AMC back then. This theater has done all of the upgrades that the other ones have. I was in a smaller, side theater, but it had the big cushy recliners just like a lot of the other AMCs. Awesome! The self serve, multi flavored soda machines were present as well, sweet! This is the perfect spot for me to hit up a movie before work, but nothing too much out of the ordinary for me to come here out of my way any other time. If you live close, or happen to be in the area, this is a good spot to stop in to catch a quick flick! read more

Ok, I am a jaded moviegoer. I have seen it all, tasted it all and yawned at it all from the old school drive through to the new fangled bistro. This Place Rocks! The prices are cool. Matinees are 5 bucks! The concessions are classic but relatively cheap. Popcorn and candy fare can be had here. Why come here you say? The seats! They freaking rock! First they are spacious! Room enough for butts of all creeds, colors and sizes! Coupled up with liftable armrests so you can be close to that scared date or child. Secondly, they are leather. Not the cheap bits and pieces kind, they have a rich buttery feel that makes you feel you are in a German Roadster. Wait, there is more! These spacious, velvety seats, RECLINE! This theater has really good seating, and the staff are always really friendly and give quick service. I think this theater is often overlooked, which means there are never any lines and staff take care of you quickly. I can't stress how much I love the seating in these theaters- if you like reclining chairs, this is one of the AMCs that has them. I haven't been to this theater in a while especially since the upgrades. I was apprehensive and eventful more so when I observed watching people just blatantly just walk in, under barriers over barriers it didn't matter. These people were obviously do this all the time. I was worried that we wouldn't have good seats until she told me the seats were reserved. That was great no hurry to rush to find seats wet speed at the bar a nice addition and the self serve fountain drinks. The recliner seats were very comfortable. All those folks that just walked in well they didn't see the movie we saw because it was sold out and no one was letting then have their seats. I was quite impressed and this is the closest theater to me and the price was great. I just may have found my new neighborhood movie theater. read more

This is probably one of THE BEST movie theaters I have ever been to and it's small, too. This place was remodeled a couple years ago and I feel it was well worth it. They have recliner seats, DLP Technology and Multiple-Flavor Soda Fountains. Very epic!!!! I highly recommend folks to check this place out. Enjoy. P.S. This is now my go to movie theater! It is newly renovated and it shows! There is now a bar and in the theater room are reclining seats! How amazing is that? It's like watching a movie in the comfort of your own house! I also love that fact that you are now able to chose your seats when you are making the purchase up front! So no more, fight for good seats, you know what is available and what you've picked! But the best part about this place? There are no crazy crowds! I went during opening weekend of Captain America and basically walked up, picked/paid for my seat, and found the theater. Easy as that. There were no crowds and no line! For $2 more (~$10 a ticket) you get reclining/comfortable seat and no crazy crowds to fight through. I'd pay that extra $2 any day. read more

I heard this theater had recently been remodeled so on Date night we went to check it out. I was pleasantly surprised the theater was very clean and staff all very friendly. When you purchase your tickets you choose your seating, I really like this it makes me feel like I don't have to rush into the theater to get an ideal spot. I was also told you can purchase tickets and choose seating online before arriving. The seating was really very clean and comfortable, red leather seats that recline. The middle arm can be moved up to make love seat feel for couples. The only downside is the motors on the recliners are a bit noisy and you can hear people adjusting their seats during the movie, but this wasn't enough to really bother me and during a louder movie you probably would not be able to hear this at all. Concession is your typical movie theater food, but its been so long since I have been to a traditional theater vs a restaurant type theater I was surprised that the selection was a bit more than just popcorn and candy. They offer, pizza, hot dogs, chicken strips,fries and cheese sticks to name a few as well as a variety of candy and popcorn. As with all AMC theaters they offer the huge drink stations with a very large variety of sodas and extra flavors to add in. read more

First time visiting an AMC theater of its kind. This was definitely the best movie theater I have been to! I came here with a group of folks to see the Batman vs. Superman movie at night. Most of us purchased our tickets ahead of time (online via IMDB). You get to select which seat you want, which is pretty awesome! The seats were the MOST comfortable seats my body has ever sat on in any theater. Like EVER. I could take a good nap on that seat. I love that the seats reclines to almost a 180 degree angle. Sound was great. It was a little chilly (I get cold easily) and my male friend said its usually colder so it's best to bring a jacket or blanket. I did not purchase any food and would never eat cinema food, so I have no remarks food-wise. read more

So I'll admit I don't usually write reviews but my experiences here lately have been pretty consistently bad. I used to love this theatre and have been coming here for about two years or so but over the last year it's just gone downhill in my opinion. When my friends and I go see a movie here there's always something. Quite a few times now we either get stuck in a theatre that's freezing cold or one where the AC is not working what so ever. Also the last few times people have been really inconsiderate by either talking through the movies we see or using their phones on max brightness. Also when I say it's always something it is, for instance tonight my friends and I came to watch Hobbs and Shaw and the power went out probably about 45 minutes before the end. We had to call the AMC 800 number in order to get refunds to our A list accounts and apparently have to come back if we want a refund for the food we bought. Also I'm not sure why but the management here does not seem to care about reimbursing their customers if they want a refund. I came to see the movie MA when it came out and it was the worst theatre experience I've ever had. Everyone in the theatre was talking throughout, people were literally talking on their phones, taking pictures, even sleeping and snoring. I went to see if I could get a refund for the tickets I bought for my friends and I and the customer service attendant asked for her manager to come out but obviously they didn't want to cause they never did. She said all the manger could offer me was a free small popcorn even though I spent $40 on tickets for my friends and I. I was told I took long to say something about the theatre experience even though it was halfway through the movie. The 800 number support told me to email the manager for a refund and I did and I sent him proof but he never responded to me. So obviously they do not care and don't want to refund anyone. Anyways I know this review is super long and I'm sorry for the wall of text. I hope this theatre gets better because it used to be so great but I think my friends and I are going to have to go to another AMC. read more

Hubby and I saw The Martian last week, in regular D. With my Stubs card, I received a large popcorn with one refill for the price of a medium! Score! Two draft beers will set you back about $17 (Coors Light) but they're pretty big. The popcorn guy was kind enough to fill my bag 1/2 way, then let me add the butter, then topped it off. Of course, more butter....a guilty pleasure. Clean restrooms, comfy chairs and a very convenient location make this place an enjoyable date night locale! read more

I will not be coming back to this theater. It was embarrassingly understaffed. There was no one selling tickets for twenty minutes. I watched two employees flirt and do nothing but stand there. And then once someone was finally stated to sell tickets, he tried selling me a ticket for a different movie! And what's with this reserved seating bullshit?
