Ticket prices are higher than usual for movies shown on smaller screens. Maintenance has clearly fallen off, with damaged seats, broken LED advertising displays, dirty floors and unkempt restrooms. Food is already pricey for mediocre fare and with automatically included gratuity, it is hard to justify the cost. The whole place is in serious need of upkeep and refurbishment. read more

This theater is why people will stop going to movies. When I first drove up Immediately thought this is a really small parking lot for a theater and several other businesses. I was right . It was hell parking. Then when I got to my seat i wondered why the seat doesnt recline or have a foot rest. the worse part and why I will never return even if it was free is the screen is soooooooo small. What a joke. Over all the experience was okay. We weren't impressed especially when it came to the prices on foods and drinks. The seats didn't recline which was a big no for us. It did smell in there and you could tell they used spray to mask the smell. The service was fine and staff were friendly though. If you're a drinker, they got you covered. read more

I've never had a good experience when it comes to food at a SMG, so I don't order food anymore, but I did try their new churro with a scoop of ice cream dessert and I was surprised the churro was actually good! However, the strawberry ice cream tasted like medicine. The popcorn was a bit stale and the espresso chocolate milkshake was more like a melted Frappuccino. Doesn't help when walking through the theatre it stinks and sticky everywhere. They cover the stench up with scented plug ins everywhere. No reclining seats, decent service at an 18% mandatory service/gratuity charge when you order anything from the menu. read more

The place is pretty run down and worn out. There's a weird lingering smell too, I think its from the carpet flooring that has probably never been replace since it opened back in 2007. The seats are very stiff and recline manually. Many of the seats have tears in the leather. Cant imagine sitting in the ones with the tears or creases. The speaker systems for the movies are blasted, where the sound quality suffers. The sound doesn't sound dynamic, its just really loud and blaring to the point where its uncomfortably too loud. The popcorn was really salty, and I can tell wasn't freshly made. The employee service was really good however, everyone treated me very nicely and professionally. Went to this location to watch Mufasa with my friend. Decided to order chicken tenders because I planned on getting wings from a different place the next day. They had some new flavors for the chicken dishes. I chose to get garlic buffalo sauce tossed on the strips. They portion size was really good. Had 4 tenders and some fries. I did order a froze margarita but I think the lady was hearing frozen margarita (easy mistake since the movie had already started) so it was a regular margarita. It was very strong. The strips were actually really good. Were crisp and good amount of sauce. The sauce was mild so I probably should have went with the hot buffalo because I like the spice. I did ask for another ranch so I could dip my fries and tenders in it, but sadly never got the other ranch. Then I was charged 75 cents for ranch. Luckily Im not a brokey, but in this economy, I want what I pay for. It is what it is though. I enjoyed the movie and afterwards, we sat at a bar and got another drink. This time I ordered the froze margarita with passion fruit inside and it was delicious but it was a bit more sweet than I would prefer. I got tajin on the rim though which always makes it better. The bartender was really friendly. Forgot her name but adorable girl with dark hair. My friend kept teasing her about how she was talking but she was a good sport and I really enjoyed talking to her for a few mins. Had some time to kill until i had to pick a friend up from the airport so i decided to catch a movie since i was in the area. While the movie theater is very clean and spacious it just wasn't for me. They do serve fill meals and have a full menu but waiters and waitresses coming and interrupting the movie to take orders or deliver just took away from the movie itself in my opinion. While others there enjoyed themselves it appeared it's just not for me personally. Outside of personal preference if you don't mind interruptions during movie and need a date spot with food included plus a movie this is your place. I haven't been to the movies in years so let's start there. Wakanda Forever brought me out of my cinema hiatus and the movie itself was awesome (even being nearly 3 hours). However, the seats in this location were terrible. Leather but very uncomfortable. After 40 minutes I had lower back pain and this morning the pain was even worse. The tables were clean which was a plus. We didn't order anything from the restaurant since it was a 10pm slot but the prices were decent from what I saw online. Staff was ok but they definitely walked in front us twice during the movie instead of walking all the way to the other end of the aisle. There was either an ice machine close to the theatre door or something that buzzed throughout the entire movie. Bit of a distraction. Overall, 3.25 stars. read more

Great prices for the movie food was meh. We had an excellent time seeing Mission impossible at studio movie Grill, the service was great. The food was edible, and the cost of the movie was low great value for family. The popcorn was good nothing offensive pretzel bites were surprisingly greasy. Rest of the food was fine. read more

The food menu is minimal and not for everybody and the service is pretty fast but when you order food DO NOT LEAVE THE TIP SECTION OF YOUR RECEIPT OPEN (Scribble in that area) BECAUSE THEY WILL FILL IT OUT FOR THEMSELVES AND TIP THEMSELVES FUCKING $50 TIP like no one will notice so I really don't ever wanna order anything from that place and I'm always gonna order my tickets online if I ever choose to go there again cause wth is wrong with these children now and days. This just happened 30 minutes ago, on Saturday Sept. 21st, 2024. I am still very upset of how an employee could be so rude and disrespectful. I have been here a lot, and especially this year, I have been bringing my daughter and my wife to see all the Japanese Studio Ghibli movies. We usually have a good time and enjoy the show and the food. Not anymore. We all came today interested in celebrating here my daughter's birthday in a month. There was this African American female employee welcoming people from her station, who greeted us and I started inquiring about the movie "Kiki's Delivery Service" to be shown on Saturday, October 26th. My idea is to bring a bunch of kids and their parents, so I wanted to learn about packages, but initially I asked if they were showing that movie on that day. She looked and me and v e r y slowly said: - I did not understand anything you said. - What? - I did not understand a single word of what you just said. I was infuriated, especially for being treated like that in front of my wife and my daughter. I do not think anybody deserves to be embarrassed like that, and I do not even know why she would say something like that. I never have problems communicating nor have a speech impairment. If she did not understand me it is on her, not on me. Couldn't she said something like "Pardon me, I did not quite catch that, would you mind repeating it?" Funniest thing is that I work as an interpreter for hospitals, so I know that I have no issues communicating and expressing my thoughts. In 22 years living in Texas this is the first time I have an individual telling me "I did not understand anything you said". ... but I read in another response from this business that "all employees are trained to be quiet and discreet". You are kidding, right? I repeated everything again, but then I decided not to waste my time anymore. This person is ignorant and that was insulting. She has no clue of what customer service is. I will try the Highlands, or maybe somewhere else, but for sure I am not coming back to a place where I am exposed to be insulted like that. Thanks!! read more

Had a chance to check out a movie stopped by studio movie grill on Lincoln was a bit disappointed the theater is out dates and the seats were not clean the food was ok but the popcorn was delicious, quit skimpy on the food but overall ok , I will stick with the SMG at the highlands next time read more

The service was great but it was a lot of staff talking during the movie , I also ordered a popcorn a small popcorn and water and was charged $23 for it with no receipt. My boyfriend was also overcharged he ordered a chicken and fries with a margarita and was charged $42 for the popcorn I already paid for plus his items ... I've been to other locations of SMG where the food was good, but the food, service, and cleanliness was horrible at the Lincoln square location. The floor was sticky. The ordering system ends up distracting everyone throughout the theater, as waiters come in and out to see what a customer needs and then bring it, walking in front of everyone. Maybe come up with a system using texting? A waiter messed up and placed the order of the people next to us as though it was for our seats. Who knows how he placed it for our food, because after an hour it hadn't arrived, while everyone around us received their food fairly quickly. We had to ask for it. Took another 20-30 minutes to arrive. My burger and fries were room temperature. The top bun was dry and stale, while the bottom bun was soggy. The hamburger patty had no flavor, so it Was not flame broiled or even fried in a pan. Maybe baked? Details like asking for extra ketchup when ordering were overlooked. I asked for the 18% service charge to be removed, considering that our service was so poor. The manager ending up comping our food, which I appreciated. This location needs to work on training their staff, improving their food quality, buying sufficient supplies (they were out of several food items including all salads), and MOP THE FLOORS. When customers can see and feel dirtiness, we have no confidence that the kitchen is clean. read more

Came here for a yelp elite event! They provided appetizers and 2 drinks for each attendee. The queso was so good! I received two glasses of wine, a Pinot Grigio and Pinot Noir. Service inside the theatre was really slow. It took them awhile to get our order and bring it out. And we were mistakenly approached twice for other people's orders. Groupon currently has a $5 movie ticket deal for many of the locations in DFW, so definitely take advantage of that! The seat in this specific theatre don't recline, but I've attended another that does. Overall, I would return. The menu isn't as extensive as Alamo but still has some good items on there. read more

The theater is beautiful, and spacious but the food has alot to be desired. I tried the French fries and pizza and they were NOT good. The pizza crust needs a better recipe tasted like a microwave pizza, and the fries need to be served hot, they tasted as if they were sitting under a heat lamp to keep warm only. The only thing that was good was the vanilla milkshake, delicious! The food was a let down although this was only visit here, I would easily raise this to a 5 star if the food items could be addressed, other than that, I did like the theater screen and sound. read more

Great idea, dinner and a movie. It has always been a great date night idea or a family outing. So why not try Studio Movie Grill. Great location in busy shopping area, the parking might be a challenge but persistence pays off. The theater is vey modern with comfortable bar, seats 50, they offer a long list of cocktails, beer and wine, as well as soft drinks, water and China mist iced tea! (I love my tea!) There is a large lobby area with comfortable booths for eating before or after the movie and if want to reserve for special events. The theater itself is large with comfortable seats with not too many so it remains intimate. They have a large tray table with cup slot, just right for a dinner plates. Service is impeccable, and the food is fresh, tasty and plentiful. I was not too sure I would enjoy a movie while being served a meal, but it wasn't interrupting at all. The staff all ensured we had everything we needed, was happy to serve and after we had finished and where exiting the theater, where offered a mint! Overall, great experience would recommend Studio Movie Grill for an enjoyable time! read more
