Came to see the new Quentin Tarantino film since I was in the area. Ticket price was only $10. I didn't order food since I just ate at Blaze. Staff was friendly but i did notice that the lobby and bathrooms weren't properly cleaned. The theater itself is large enough with 18 screens available and soft reclining chairs. One word to describe this theater would be "Creepy". It's very old fashion killer movie scene creepy. Red and black carpets, and an annoying sound coming from above kinda like a loose speaker wire. The seats are very uncomfortable, dirty and barely move back. This will definitely be the last time coming back here, unless they remodel. read more

I've been going here for well over 10 years, and I remember when this theater was packed everyday, and now it's quite empty, and although i miss the company and feeling secure knowing i wasnt alone in the theater, it is nice having the whole place to yourself, and all the employees are pretty laid back and love helping their customers with food service, and you can always find a deal on food and tickets. It's in a perfect location. The only problem i have is the maintenance. I've had many occasions where the floor and seats were dirty and the seats were stuck or just werent working. 9/10 totally recommend! read more

First time at this theater and it was pretty nice. It had massive stadium seating with reclining and heat warming chairs. Everything was clean and had a new look to it. The entry way was a bit crowded as they have the ticketing super close to the doors which doesn't give much room to maneuver around. The concession was standard and nice. My only negative was that the sound in the theater was very low and the picture on the screen didn't "fit" the screen properly which was a bit of a distraction. Afterwards we wondered if the settings were not set correctly, if that's a thing, for the sound and picture. We'll give this theater another shot though just in case just due to how nice the seating was. read more

You would think that the way theaters are struggling due to COVID, that they would make some sort of effort. I paid $15 to see a movie. Concession were rude, I had to stamd at the counter until the two ladies at the countwr deigned to stop their social conversation. I inquired about preztels. They looked at each other and decided that they were out of pretzels (code for they did not want to go to the trouble). Mind you I was extremely courteous. I came to this theatre because it was the only one playing a movie I wanted to see, but I won't be back. Overall, I was not impressed with this theatre. It used to be a Muvico theatre, and they haven't changed the big sign outside so if you don't know that, it can be hard to find. This theatre was rundown and dingy and just felt unclean. The seats were the typical movie theatre seats though the cushions felt used up and weren't very comfortable. I'll stick with the renovated amc theatre in sunrise. read more

Large theater, they have Sony 4K digital projectors, high quality sound systems, 3D movies and D-Box seats for certain movies (these are seats that move and shake for action movies). I finally got to try the D-Box seats when I watched Jurassic World in 3D and they were super cool, definitely added to the experience. The theater was clean, but as all movie theaters the concession stand is a total rip off and serves the typical cheap food like nachos with processed cheese or old hot dogs, they should look into improving the food selection and also refreshing the theater since its starting to look outdated. Other than that there are plenty of bathrooms, the theater was clean and it's nice that you can purchase tickets online and even pick and reserve your seats. read more

Usually have a great viewing experience at this theater. I love the D-Box seats, which movie and shake to match the action in the movie. This visit we had a slight issue... The movie we selected was for a 3-D/D-box viewing, but it ended up not being projected in 3D. The manager did, however, give everyone passes for a free 3D IMAX movie. Overall, usually a good experience. I'm still giving the theater a decent rating due to the many good visits and the fact management gave us passes for a new movie without any issue. read more

This is my go-to movie theater. A lot of their original "drive-in" theme has gone by the wayside, but overall it's still a nice place. It's kept fairly clean, the lines for concessions never get to be too long (although they, like every other theater, are ridiculously overpriced), and the staff for the most part is pretty friendly. Some of the old chairs in the theaters were starting to break, so not too long ago they replaced all of the chairs with new ones, which was a welcome touch. I believe now Muvico has decided to have all seats reserved when you buy your tickets, which I like since you don't have to worry about rushing into the theater to save a spot. Another plus: they still have student prices for tickets! I'm noticing more and more theaters don't have that anymore, which is a bummer. Only downsides to this place are the bloodmobile constantly parked outside where they are always bugging you to donate blood (I don't have a problem donating, but I don't like getting a guilt trip if I'm too busy), and at times the parking lot can be a little sketchy. Case in point: on our last visit here, we saw a late show and came out to see the lot FULL of teenagers running around, yelling and being obnoxious. Two BSO cars came up and used their loudspeakers to tell the kids to go home or go to jail... this got them to reluctantly leave, but not without them all shouting plenty of, shall we say, "colorful" language at the police. Overall, though, this is a good theater that isn't nearly as crowded as the Palace in Boca, or as dated as the Regals in Cypress Creek or Coral Springs. I'll take this place any day over those :) read more

This is my local movie theatre, but the staff and clientele are so poor that it really makes an extremely negative impact on the movie experience. Yesterday there was a very rude girl working at the concession stand. She was yelling and making rude hand and facial gestures at myself and other customers before I even got to the counter. She also appeared to be sleeping on the counter. I ordered a water, and the bottle was hot. I asked if I could please have a cold one, and she said they don't have any and "they are closing" but I could see cold water with frost on it in the case. I asked if I could have some of the cold waters please and she said that was a different brand of water and it would cost more. I did not order a specific brand of water though. I told her I didn't care about the cost, I would pay for cold water. She then the threw the water at me along with another dirty look. This kind of service is so upsetting. I was upset for the first 20 minutes of the movie. No one deserves this kind of treatment. Going to the movies is supposed to be a fun experience. read more

I was in Boca Raton and this was the closest AMC to use my Stubs account. There was a couple more just a little further with dine in and recliner seats but I thought I'd save some driving. I wish I hadn't. When you first get there, you can already tell it's an old theater in need of a refurbishment. The workers I encountered were not very pleasant. Asked for a cup for water and was told they do not give them out. This is the first AMC I have been to that does not provide you a water cup. Thankfully it was stadium style seating but those seats were old and uncomfortable. The picture and sound were okay. Next time I am going to a different AMC and hoping it's better. read more

The seats were amazing and we picked a late movie for a reason. We had kids come in later and went to the top row and talked the entire time. No one came to check on the theatre like other places. Don't rent a theater here as they will not let you celebrate a birthday in the theater and offer no party room or anything like it (even though they bill it as a place to celebrate a "special occasion"). After so many years of coming back to the movies I though I was going to get a better experience but this theater just gave me all the reason for not coming back at all. First of all anybody can walk in, there wasn't anybody checking tickets or even mind to see if you purchase them. The theaters didn't even had the movies display for you to know if you were even coming in to the right room, me and my husband had to walk the entire cinema because there wasn't anybody out front helping you or showing you the right direction to go. The thing that really shock me was when I found out the A/C wasn't even working in our theater and when my husband went and talk to the manager her hideous response was that the A/C wasn't working in the entire place that we can get a refund and we can just leave. Honestly I would of have done that but it was only 30 mins left from the movie. Good, clean, cold movie theater for most recently released movies with stadium seating. I think all the screens have Sony 4k digital projectors and excellent sound system. No Coke here as they serve Pepsi = bummer for me. Popcorn is very good here, especially with the free caramel seasoning. Bathrooms are clean, the front entrance is decorative, and there are tons of parking. They have a new seating section with D-Box seats that move. read more

It was a disappointment all around. Half of the menu at the concessions was unavailable. I ended up getting popcorn that was a bit stale and tried to add butter to it. I attempted at 2 butter machines and they were out. The third one had butter but tasted like rancid oil. We got into the theater and there was popcorn on our seats and the recliner function didn't work on 2 of the seats. Will not be back. read more

The sign out front says Muvico but it's been AMC for a year now... We arrived a little early to purchase tickets. The large booth along the curb was closed so we continued inside. The inside booth was also not staffed but there was a sign directing us to the concession counter for tickets. The usual staff of youngsters awaited us and happily charged us full price for our noon movie. Wifey inquired about discounts but they said nothing doing, everyone pays the same during the day...whatever. I did hear them ask another customer if they were AMC rewards members but no one mentioned it to us. We skipped the concessions and went straight to our theatre. We found the seats super comfy. Reclining, soft and cushiony, not quite as nice as home but pretty darned good. Overall we enjoyed the movie and experience. read more

This theater seems to be an older one and it does look it in some places and it always seems dark inside..maybe that's what they were going for... but yeaa :-/. The seats (and aisles) are closer together (more opportunity to step on toes) and they don't recline (I feel like i must have that now as more and more theaters are renovating to have these... lol *MovieBougie*) The sound quality in the rooms are pretty good. 3D movies offer the disposable kind of 3D glasses... which i find more comfortable. There is a recycling bin for them outside the rooms. Food is kinda expensive (more than normal expensive) and they are pretty slow with preparing it (If you buy their pizza, or fries etc) They have beer and hard apple cider and such as well... Here's why I come here and the only reason why i come here... DBOX. Their dbox is on point. the vibrations are way more intense (than Cinemark 24 in fort laud). DBox brings a new dimension to watching a movie... i love the experience and the Dbox at AMC Pompano is niiiiiiice! Know that Dbox is pricier so it's not every movie i'd watch but it's worth it from time to time. read more

Came here with a large group on vacation to enjoy the new Spider-Man movie ages 60 to 5 years old. Had a young group of teenage girls talking during the movie like it was a club or a hangout they even had friends sitting on laps and taking pictures in the middle of the movie. I asked them to be quite and was laughed at they resumed what they were doing so I went and complained to the manager but nothing was done. Mid way thru the movie I noticed 4 other teenage boys join them and walk up the stairs. And then walk over to my side of the theater like they were going to intimidate me or do something. I had two children ages 5 and 9 with me so I told my wife that it was time to go and our other family members decided to stay. After the movie we found out the police showed up and that they were making fun of two men on a date one of the young men threatened to come back and kill my father and our family for standing up for them. This theatre needs to have some better management and or security in place to handle things for sure should never have gotten to that. Cannot recommend this theatre. read more

What a bunch of incompetent morons. I went to see the Wizard of Oz for it's one and only showing on the big screen on June 5. They are so incompetent at this theater that they played advertising over the movie. After complaints were made, they started again with all the advertising and still the advertising was again playing over the movie when it finally came on. At this point I gave up and asked for a refund. I paid $17 for the movie plus $12 including popcorn and food fees etc on advance.The manager has a faulty credit card machine and could not refund my card , so I got stuck with a gift card for a future movie (I never go to the movies), I specifically went to see this movie in particular since it will probably never be shown on the big screen again. He wouldn't refund me for the popcorn, which he at least could have done as a gesture of goodwill. This theater SUCKS and I want everyone to know it. read more

Just moved to area and went to see Memory last night with my daughter. I went to lobby/bar area on three occasions to ask an employee if someone could please come plug in my daughter's chair for her - it was unplugged underneath. I explained my daughter had a walking boot as her ankle is broken. No one ever came. It was my first time here and I loved this theater. Drove 45 minutes just to come here for Midsommar: Director's Cut. It was very worth it! The seats recline, are comfortable and even have backrest heater. You can totally tell they remodeled the theater overall because everything just feels brand new. Also, the image quality and sound quality are fantastic. Overall, it's worth it and recommends it. I would come here more often if it wasn't so far. read more
