Honestly, this theater seems to be old and run down. I don't go to the movies often, so when I do I'm looking forward to the experience. This one was disappointing, mostly because there seems to be a problem with the AC! The theater I was in (#13) was just humid and warm. My fiance was sweating throughout the movie. I was able to endure the temperature, but I certainly wasn't "comfortable" and was so ready to leave by the end of our two-hour showing. The theater had the reclining seats, which was nice, but my chair specifically had an issue with the buttons where one would get stuck and force my chair to recline ALLLL the way back. I had to fight with it at the beginning to get the chair in the position I wanted. Overall, I would not return to this theater. AMC does not seem to care for this location, so you shouldn't either. read more

AMC...serious question and I really hope someone in management gives a decent response. I come here most weekends. The past few months, EVERY TIME I come the Freestyle machines are completely screwed up. I mean, always 80% empty of flavors, when they have one, it often takes like garbage. I have literally brought this up maybe 15 times with management who always seem shocked. Im sorry, if it is a matinee and you don't have the ability to check for properly stocked machines, something is reallllly wrong. I have to give it a great review. I have not been to an actual movie theater in about 2 years. We came to see The Odyssey and it was awesome.... All the seats are recliners and they even heat up. It was spacious and you can even cuddle.. haha... we watched it in "laser" mode which I can't tell the difference but it was so worth it. Definately a way to watch a movie for sure.... If you haven't seen the movie it is a must go see. read more

Went to see a movie there last night. The whole theater needs a refurb. It looks like th building hasn't seen work done to it since it opened. It does give a nostalgia vibe which was nice. The employee was friendly when I entered, I only saw three employees in the entire theater. I did not try any of the snacks but they looked typical for amc. Theater itself was als dated and the recliners were "older". The off putting thing was the theater was a tad dirty around the seats. Probably did the bare minimum inbetween shows. The screens on the basic laser screen did not seem as crisp as some other theaters I go to. Overall it was fine but there are better amc options in the area read more

I hate to even write this because I love AMC so much. Last night, my husband and I figured we'd try a new AMC. Worst decision ever. We booked a 9:55pm movie and pre-ordered popcorn on the app to be picked up at 9:45pm. First, I'm really big on manners and greeting. I greeted the young staff member 3times while she was scanning my QR code, no response at all.... We get to the counter and the popcorn is not ready... ok not that big of a deal. So we got in line behind another customer. By this time it's getting a little crowded and the line is forming. When we reached the counter it took at least 5mins for anyone to even greet us. There were 2 young staff members behind the counter. When we finally got noticed, we were told they were about to pop a fresh batch of popcorn... sigh ok. I asked how long it would be and was told 5mins 15min later (30mins into our movie by now) the popcorn comes up. 5mins after that the young staff member scoops it up and walks it over to ANOTHER customer who had just ordered. To which I promptly reminded him we had been waiting almost 30mins for popcorn. There were at least 5 other staff members on duty but no one came over to assist the line. One even cut in front of us to argue with the young men behind the counter about gloves. She had taken the box of gloves that he needed to handle our food and was hesitant to give them back! Idk if it's just the young staff on duty, but we will NOT be returning to this location again. read more

I came to to see the Avatar and I was super excited about this. Unfortunately it did not happened. A few minutes after I sat down the screen turned black. The audio still worked. I got to listen to upcoming movies and they all sounded good. Funny how the imagination kicks in when you can't see things lol. No one updated us on what was happening. I was still optimistic that they get the projector going. An hour later the movie started and people started to get restless. 10 to 15 minutes after the movie started a staff member came in and announced a problem with projector that it may not be fixable today, no apologies. We had two choices for us. A refund or a voucher. That was handled very poorly. Only one person persongiving it out. The other was not there long. I bought the 3D experience. The voucher was a regular admission, so I opted for the refund. I feel I got screwed because AMC charged a me $5 fee to book this movie that I am not getting reimbursed for. They got the movie going eventually. They made an announcement as we stood on that long line waiting to get a reimbursement, no apologies for the inconvenience. It felt like this is something that happens from time to time here. They told us that the movie was starting from the time we all exited. We would have lost 15 minutes of video because we were only listening to it, so I still opted for the refund. The guy working was trying to, let's call it, encouraged people to go back to the movie lol. He ran out of vouchers lol. Poor refund lady was struggling. She was the only one doing refunds, checking in people and handling questions. It was crazy. I was not happy. Not one staff member offered an apology for the inconvenience. A total disconection from the staff for the inconvenience. I get technical things happens but this situation was not handled well. I was disappointed in not seeing the movie. I lost my time and some money coming to this theater. read more

Went to try to see a movie this afternoon, only to be greeted by people on their phones, not paying attention and then going into a theater that I was told was only at 50%... after we had gone into the theater and sat there for a minute and started to break out into a hot sweat coming outside to speak to a person who acted as though we were asking to borrow 50 bucks. He told us well it's at 50% when I ask what's going on with the temperature in the theater is it broken? He replied well kind of. don't waste your time or your money. Stay at home and watch Netflix. Wait for it to come out on video do anything but go there. read more

I know I have been coming to this AMC location a lot, but I had no idea that it was close to 50 times. I can't help it though, I really like watching movies. For me there's a different feeling in viewing a movie on the big screen with surround sound, and also I enjoy the perks of being an AMC Stubs member. Today I reserved a seat to watch a mystery movie, whereas I have no idea what movie I will be watching until the movie starts. The mystery movie ended up being Drop. I was thrilled because I was planning on seeing this movie when it was officially released. It was good and full of suspense. I may end up watching it again. Terrible experience. We paid extra to see the Odyssey and were really excited. We had issues getting the popcorn and it was gross, but that was not the worst of it. We roasted alive thru a 3 hour movie. It started out not quite cool and progressively got hotter until we were sweating thru our clothes. Speakers were also blown and fuzzy sounding. Tried to speak to supervisor who was too busy selling tickets to help. I should have asked for a refund but I was so hot I just needed air-conditioning ASAP. If I could give zero stars, I would, unfortunately Google only allows one. I had an absolutely unacceptable experience at AMC Pompano Beach. I purchased four tickets for a 9:30 PM movie and arrived only a few minutes after showtime, fully within the normal preview window that AMC advertises. My group and I sat in the theater for over an hour waiting for the movie to start. No previews. No announcements. No staff checking in. We were never informed that the movie had been canceled. The only reason we found out was because we eventually left our seats and went to the front desk to ask what was going on. Customers should not have to chase staff down to learn that a screening no longer exists. We were told a manager was coming, waited again, and only after the manager had to be called a second time did anyone finally come out. When the manager arrived, there was zero empathy, no apology, and no accountability. The overall attitude from staff and management was careless and dismissive. To make matters worse, we were refused a refund back to our original payment method and were instead given an AMC gift card -- despite the fact that the movie never played. We were also not refunded for the concessions purchased specifically for this screening. We paid for tickets, food, and drinks, wasted over an hour of our time, and left with nothing but frustration. This was a complete failure in communication, management, and basic customer service. I will not be returning to this location and strongly caution others. read more

Nothing says "modern design" like communal vulnerability. It's less "restroom" and more "team-building exercise." Popcorn Perfection: Stale popcorn that's clearly been aged in a vintage 2011 humidifier. Crispness is for the weak... AMC knows real flavor comes from neglect and disappointment. Recliner Seats: Ah yes, the "recliners" -- by which they mean claustrophobic shoeboxes with a slight tilt. March 2026, the STAFF here gets 5 STARS, they are friendly and polite. The reason I am giving this theater 2 STARs is because of the leather seats they were wore, and patched up. Not like other movie theaters. The entrance outside the theater (sidewalk) was littered the dirt and the exterior of the building looked scabby and uninviting. Took my husband here on Fathers Day at 4.p.m. Absolute chaos. Filthy. The lines for the concession stand were ridiculously long. The soda machine didn't work. The floor was wet and flooded everywhere so it was dangerous to even walk. No popcorn. After paying, the register worker said "wait over there". Over there was a wad of about 30 people all clamoring for their popcorn. It was flavorless and tasted burnt. Who is the manager and WHERE WERE THEY?? Never again.​ read more

Red One is genuinely a very nice Christmas movie; funny and action packed to keep everyone's interest, of all ages. Arrived at the counter of the movie theater, and the counter lady asked if I was a senior citizen; the gray hair must be the giveaway lol. Got the seniors discount (hooray) then proceeded to the food counter and got some popcorn. On this trip, the service was good with the line moving very nicely. Got some butter onto the popcorn, then found our seats in Theater #1. Almost 30 minutes of previews; think these previews before the actual movie are getting longer. Wonder what others think. Loved the heated seats since there was a chill in the air. The movie went by quickly; I hope they make this type of Christmas movie for next year. I organized an event for over your dead body on 4/26 at this location at 645pm and they canceled the showing. It had been posted for weeks and a manager wouldn't even get on the phone. This AMC movie theater has so many super star employees that I felt compelled to write a review. If I could give them 10 out of 10 stars I happily would!! These two employees deserve to be recognized for the ways they have gone above and beyond to help make our AMC experience exemplary. Nothing tastes better than fresh popcorn at the movies. I showed up with a group of people and one asked if we could have fresh popcorn. I would have been just as happy to eat what they gave me, but guess what happened? Brianna and Kylie said no problem whatsoever. They would be more than happy to make fresh popcorn for all of us. Being AMC members I knew we were entitled to a free refill on our large popcorn. Brianna smiled and said that is correct how can we help you? Then Kylie kindly prepared our refills for us. What a dream team of employees they are! We left AMC with smiles on our faces and can't wait to return. Thank you with all my heart to Brianna and Kylie for making my Mum's 80th Birthday and our special trip to AMC so special. Bought a ClassPass voucher that included a drink and popcorn. AMC scanned it, took it, let me in, then said I couldn't get the drink and popcorn, which cost $24 btw. The manager -- who clearly enjoys the power trip more than the job -- actually told me giving me what I PAID FOR would be "stealing from AMC." ClassPass confirmed I was right. AMC just didn't care. The manager couldn't be bothered or use a shred of logic. If this is the leadership, no wonder the staff was just as confused. read more

This theater has undergone some major upgrades, from the concession stand to the individual theater showing rooms and the comfortable reclining seats with plenty of personal space. The acoustics are great and the viewing screens allow you to enjoy your viewing experience. The concession stand also features a full bar. Our experience was enjoyable and theater is kept clean by the staff. read more

This has got to be one of the wackiest joking theater we've been to. Upon entering, it was foggy like something was burnt. Whole place smells like fried food. There was no one person working at the front desk. Turns out one bartender behind the bar came to the front to tend the area. Another employee dragged herself out, stood there, pat her head and then left. Two of the chairs in the theater did not recline. Hubby and I let the kids have the good chairs and we'll just sit on the non working ones. Figured we'll let staff know when movie was over as I did not want to miss a min of the movie. Once movie was done, we walked out and I told a staff there about the chairs. She looked at me and said ok and? I responded and.... we was uncomfortable. She asked so did ya'll watch the whole movie. We said yes. She said okay so nothing we can do. She said, "had ya'll came up and complained during the time your seat didn't work, we could've given you some free passes, but you'd already watch the movie, so nothing nobody can do ." I asked to speak to a manager and she said he's right there but he can't do nothing for you either. What a lazy no customer service staff member are you? BTW this was the one working the bar and front desk same time. She just needed to go home. The manager was nice enough to say sorry. He went to go check the chairs, it did not work just like what we told him. He gave us 4 free passes. I don't even want to go back here. Free passes or not. So aggravating. I recently joined the Stubs program because my friends like to come to see movies on a regular basis. I hadn't actually gone to a movie theater in many years. I stream a lot at home! That being said- I am impressed by the reclining seats & love that you can select your own with an app. You can sit with your friends. I was a bit surprised by the prices of candy & popcorn but I guess that's the way it is now! The movie theater looks pretty clean & I am looking forward to coming back. This is a nice theater and the staff was friendly. They offer free refills on large size soda and popcorn. The theater was big and roomy. I had lots of room to stretch out my legs. There are definitely some auditoriums that are better than others, as one had some beaten up seats and a lightbulb that stayed on dim instead of shutting off when the movie started. But this theater definitely has more comfortable seating and better sound than the closest one to me, the AMC Dine-In Coral Ridge -- that place is a disaster. This place earns its 5 stars from its employees-- the majority of them put forth a great effort. I was watching The Long Walk in auditorium 2 and when the credits started rolling, I couldn't find my phone. I knew it couldn't have gone far, but when I checked under the seats I couldn't find it. I went to the concession stand and Kevin helped me out, pulling back the seats to find my phone somehow got swallowed up into the frame of the seat. I was extra stressed because I had a flight the next day, and he saved my @$$. If you guys do "employee of the month," I nominate Kevin for sure. read more

As an AMC A-List member since August 2024, I'm extremely disappointed with how the company is handling something as basic as a popcorn refill. On a recent visit, I was refused a refill in the original large tub and instead handed a smaller bag--not even equal in size. I understand the concern around cross-contamination, but let's be honest: if the goal is cleanliness, there are clean replacement tubs. Why hand out a noticeably smaller bag? How many pennies are being saved by frustrating and alienating your paying A-List members? The response I received from AMC corporate was polished, but offered no real solution. Telling me I can dump my refill from a bag into my own tub is a weak workaround, not a customer-first resolution. On top of that, the manager at the location was rude and dismissive--treatment no customer should receive, let alone one paying for your top-tier subscription. AMC has one of the most expensive movie membership programs, yet continues to fall short in valuing customer loyalty and experience. I've decided to cancel my membership. Other chains like Regal and Cinemark not only offer better treatment and more consistency, but also better prices for both tickets and concessions. AMC needs to seriously rethink how it treats its most loyal customers--because many of us are already walking away. read more

AMC! Reading the reviews make sense about this theater. It reminded me so much of Muvico & it was back then. It still has the 50s theme to it but mixes in with certain upgrades. One big plus is this theater has HEATED SEATS! You can choose to keep it off, low or high. The seats are really nice also. One of the seat recliners didn't work and when we told someone they were really quick to fix it. Customer service wise needs some improvement no one really greets you just does what they need to do and that's it. read more

I was here a few weeks ago to see the Barbie movie. It's been several years since I have been here and was pleasantly surprised at how nicely they spruced up the theater. I didn't go to the concession area, but I am sure it's pricey like most other movie theaters. I didn't use the ladies' room, so I can't comment on the cleanliness. The sound system was great. I recently went to a different theater, and the sound was crazy loud, almost as loud as a rock concert, and I didn't find it enjoyable at all, but that will be a separate review. This theater has nice comfortable leather seats that recline. The chairs also have a heating feature, which is nice if you are up north, but I am not sure it's really needed in South Florida. I'm looking forward to watching more movies here. read more

I've ordered ahead through the app to see if it'll help, and I'll get there and my food is still not ready and I still have to ask for it just to be met by attitude. I know, that I know, that I have written a review for this theatre in the past. In fact, it was right after the premiere of Sing in 2016. Be that as it may, I returned twice in two weeks recently, after not going to the movies since before the pandemic. The first visit was for the premiere of The Chosen Christmas special and then with one of my daughters and grandson to watch Encanto. We were in different auditoriums, of course. One larger than the other, but both looked super sharp! Everything was spotless, including the restrooms which I really like the design and their entryways. Also, the service at concession was surprisingly smooth and the attendant was actually happy to see us. This is one of the larger theatres out east, and although I don't think they remodeled, everything looks brand, spanking new. I look forward to coming back soon to watch Sing 2. I'm an AMC Stubs member and this location is the closest to my house, with a 15 minute drive it's convenient for frequent visits. I appreciate the different selection of theater experiences there from their IMAX to a regular screen. What would've allowed me to provide the full 5 stars would be a better handle on cleanliness in the theater. Very often I find myself wiping my own seat down with a Lysol wipe because of either spilled popcorn or candy. In high school I worked at a movie theater myself so I get how challenging it can be. However, it's definitely important. I also give them extra points for having a manager who was kind and supportive when my boyfriend and I had to report disruptive kids in a theater. read more

So much nicer than the Coral Ridge AMC that close to me, I went to see the new Alien movie in the Prime screen 8 at Pompano. I lived in NYC for 9 years and was used to nice theaters but have been disappointed so far in Florida. This is more like it! Comfortable electric reclining leather seats, good sized screen, good sound and no bleed of sound from other theaters. They have the seats in Prime with bass built in so you feel the rumble of action sequences. It costs me $15 each way in an Uber otherwise I would come here a couple of times a week.
