It's 2026, and it makes absolutely no sense that none of my local AMC theaters are showing Jackass. Why are we still policing movies that are made for adults? The solution is simple: check IDs. If staff are doing their job and verifying ages, there shouldn't be an issue. We watched every Jackass movie, so we already know it's inappropriate that's literally the point of an R-rated movie. What makes it even more frustrating is seeing the trailer for this movie while watching Scary Movie last month, only to find out none of the local theaters are actually showing it. A small theater but loved the warmth when you walk inside. It was decorated for the holidays and was the perfect touch. Inside was kept very clean and they had a lot of great choices when it came to concessions. They have recliner seats and the sound is perfect. The staff here are really friendly, the bathrooms were clean and love that on the doors they have vacant or engaged signs so it really helps when you are waiting in line to go. Would recommend this theater if you like something on the smaller side. read more

I went to the movies to watch Fantastic Four and it was such a good movie. I really liked how clean this movie was. Olivia served my popcorn and drink and she was super sweet and attentive. There is a family feast for $37 which includes two drinks, large popcorn and candy. The seats can be reclined and are super comfortable. I went on a Monday afternoon so it was not busy. I really like this theater because people are very sweet here. read more

I can overlook a lot of things when going to the movie theater. I don't expect a first class dinner experience. However, this has to be one of the worst kept theaters I have visited. Far different than Paragon theaters or the AMC in Weston. I can see I'm not the only one who feels this way No matter how many amenities you add to a theater, hygiene is the most essential. Since it was my first time coming to this theatre I didn't know what to expect because I've been to some very nice AMCs & other not so nice ones. However, I was pleasantly surprised with this location. The lobby/concession area is big & has condiment stations on either side by the auditorium entrances with Coca-Cola freestyle & Icee machines. Most of the areas were clean & seemed to be organized. The recliners were in good condition & the auditorium was clean inside. The staff was also friendly. This is a good location but the only issue I could find is that it didn't seem to have an IMAX or Dolby auditorium like my local AMC does. Aside from that, I would definitely recommend this AMC or be back if my local one isn't screening a certain movie (like what happened this time around). read more

This is arguably, one of the filthiest and dirtiest theaters I have ever been to hands-down has to be the worst experience I've ever had in my entire life of going to a movie theater. There's a manager named Andre who treated me like I was the equivalent of garbage and all of their staff is extremely unmotivated and lazy. Upon arriving, I purchased items that were available at the kiosk in the system, and upon arriving to the register was informed that none of it wasn't available when asked for any kind of compensation or explanation I was given attitude, and no reasoning proceeded to go into the theater and it looked like it hadn't been cleaned all day whoever is in charge of this place really needs to take the time to look over their entire staff because this is the epitome of disgusting. read more

Boy was this a relaxing visit. Love the Sunrise AMC. It may not be as big as some of the other locations but it definitely does pack a punch in the service / deco area. This location has been renovated so all of the auditoriums have luxury seating. There's also a well stocked bar and two drink mix stations. Honestly the best part of visiting here are the insanely large recliner seats, they go all the way back. They're super comfy. The staff members are very friendly and helpful. And if you order online in advance, prior to the start of the movie, you don't have to wait in line and your food can be brought to your seat! read more

I really enjoy a good movie experience, and AMC is the place to be. It's a great spot to watch a film, especially with their recliner seats. We bought our tickets in advance to watch A Quiet Place 3. The wide screens and excellent sound quality made for a fantastic viewing experience. The best part was the bar--Lilly, our bartender, served up an unexpectedly good and refreshing Henny colada. This looked like an outdated movie theater from the outside, but the inside was slightly upgraded. I was surprised to see a full alcohol bar in the lobby, so that was a plus! I was also surprised by how small the movie theater was for an opening night movie (Bad Boys). I expected it to be much bigger.. But overall, it was a great experience. I loved the recliner seats. I love AMC Sunrise because of their reclining seats! I also love that they honor and prioritize their members by offering a separate line to accommodate their members quickly. We ordered a regular size popcorn and a large drink, was offered a free upgrade and paid $7 for both as a member perk! There is a bar onsite which usually opens at 4pm. And lots of parking. I do wish that they went around and cleaned up more often as there is usually loose napkins and popcorn near the food area and restrooms. I used to come here 20 years ago and it's definitely improved a lot since then. The addition of the bar is pretty cool of that's your thing. The concession looked to have a lot of options for actual food. The recliner seats were very comfortable. Getting in with my tickets was quick and simply. The staff was friendly. The only problem was our theatre did not have air conditioning. The lobby was really cold but when we got in our theatre it was hot. It made for an uncomfortable experience but I dealt with it because I wanted to see the movie and it was tolerable. I heard someone else complain to management about it so I know they were aware of it. I'd definitely come back but hopefully not have this experience again. read more

I have gone to this movie theater many times. Love the reclining seats , but last night during the movie saw a roach crawling along the empty seat head in front of me. Got the heebee geebees for the rest of the movie and couldn't relax and enjoy it. I understand this is south Florida but you have to extra vigilant in public settings . read more

This was the worst experience I have ever had at an AMC theater. My first upset was in the women's bathroom which was very poorly taken care of. Only one out of four stalls were usable-missing lock, no toilet paper, etc. The sinks and soap were all controlled by sensors and I had to stand there waving my hands around for a solid minute before anything worked. Sitting in the theater was just plain confusing. All of the guests in my theater must have confused it for a day care. There were about 20 children in there, including 2 screaming babies, even thought it was 9:30 on a Tuesday night. The amount of talking and crying was reminiscent of an elementary school, not a movie theater. At the end of the movie, I spoke to some of the workers about my bad experience. It turns out other customers had also complained about the noise disruption throughout the movie. However, I was told they couldn't do anything about it because the security guard is the only one who can ask people to leave the theater, but he only works on weekends. Overall, I was really disappointed with this theater and will not ever be going back there. read more

I used to love coming here, I've been a loyal movie viewer here for over 5yrs....but when The Batman came out( a movie we were super excited for which is 3 hrs long)....They showed the entire film zoomed in and never fixed it. ... We even told the front folks and management over 6 times about the issue ( including showing them examples when comparing the film Playing in another theater) and they blatantly lied and argued to our face that they didn't see the difference... lesson learned horrible customer service When a moviegoer tells you in the very beginning that the film is zoomed in... / cropped ( I mean the movie title "the Batman" showed up as "atman" ) And the manager & staff does nothing to restart or adjust the movie ;or initially offer either a refund ; or share that you can attend a different showing ... I got the impression they (amc&employee) want to dupe the movie goer...and take you like an idiot We left in the middle and requested our money back...( like I mentioned the refund not initially offered and we were lied that the manager would fix it... which never happened 2 hrs into the movie) I don't go to see a movie to watch it zoomed in and watch only faces, as if I am seeing it thru a peephole...or where it looks like a pirated movie.... This is the last time I am coming here or to any AMC.....such a disappointing experience when The Batman is a great and iconic movie....and the folks here have no respect for the moviegoers and the filmmakers to show it correctly..... I definitely consider myself a movie-goer and I have an appreciation for movie theaters. After the pandemic, unfortunately the movie theater "experience" kind of deteriorated. Luckily, since the theaters reopened, AMC has been my go-to. Thankfully, this AMC location is only 5-10 minutes away from me. I've been to a couple of AMC locations and this one is usually very quite during the week and during the weekends, it gets busy but not like overly crowded. I've noticed that this location has wider seats? I'm not sure why but they are definitely more comfortable than the Weston location. Downside, ripped seats. There's always those couple of recliners with rips down the middle of the seat, so hopefully you aren't wearing something thin because you'll feel it. Customer service is usually pretty good, I've never had a problem with them. Popcorn is a hit or miss here. Tonight for example, thumbs down. Best thing about AMC is their A-list membership. I've been a member for a couple of years and it is just fantastic. Definitely worth the twenty something bucks a month. Overall, I come here quite often and usually enjoy my experience. Out of all the theaters out there in the area, this one is pretty legit and good for serious movie-goers like myself. read more

I usually come to this AMC location since it is the closest one to me. AMC is actually my favorite movie theater company, in fact I pay for their yearly fee of $12 to be a part of AMC stubs premiere. This membership waives online fees, give free popcorn and soda size upgrade, $5 rewards every $50 spent, discount on Tuesdays, priority lanes, among other rewards. I think this is very cheap for the perks you get with it. I also like the convenience of being able to use their app to purchase my tickets and choose my seats. No hassle at all once I arrive at the theater. This location also has a good food variety and a full bar for alcoholic drinks. We all know movie theaters are expensive when it comes to food and drinks, and this one is no exception. The reason for 4 stars is because I feel like the theater rooms could be cleaner and better kept. When they first remodeled was amazing but now some of the chairs won't recline, are often dirty and scratched. read more

This newly remodeled theater was a nice venue for movie viewing. It was seamless as we'd ordered our tickets online prior to arriving via their AMC app. As the name implies there are 8 theaters. You select your row and seat so there's no jockeying for a place. Assigned seating made it so much more enjoyable. The aisles are clearly lettered as are the numbered seats. The space between the rows are wide and the seats are comfortable recliners. We had gotten seats in the middle of the row and the view was great. Not the theater's fault, but there were a couple people who didn't turn their phones off. One lady even took a call in the middle of the movie! So I guess, there needs to be another reminder during the previews, at least, about movie etiquette and courtesy. It's a bit far driving distance from my home, but I can see why their seats and comfortable surroundings would appeal. read more

Only bad thing was that there was only like two workers and there was no one at the bar or concession stand so I was to nervous to ask the worker up front if it was closed or? I didn't know. This is truly a great place to see a movie! Recently (within the last 2-3 years), this place was obviously renovated and updated to include the coveted reclining chairs. This is great! Watching the movie on huge, comfy recliners makes it nearly impossible to enjoy your movie in a regular old seat! Haha! We have never really had to interact with employees here; we always buy our tickets online and reserve our seats while purchasing! It's so convenient to be able to show up a minute before start time, scan your phone with the ticket purchase on it at the ticket kiosk, and BAM! Your tickets are printed out and you're on your way! The bartender has been quite friendly, and they do have a full bar. Liquors, wines, and awesome craft beer on draft! They had a Funky Buddha and a Lagunitas IPA last time I was there- which impressed me! They also have one of those digital Coke machines with so many options, and the ICEES are self-serve. I haven't bought any concessions here, but next time, I'm going for a Spiked ICEE! The theater is COLD! I recommend you bring your own blanket, as most people do! A nice, fleece blanket can really "up" your experience here! Parking is super easy, and I cannot stress enough to buy your tickets online! read more

Stopped by AMC sunrise to see a movie with the family. The theater is located in a strip mall so it has plenty of open parking. That being said the lot fills up quickly! The checkin process is a bit disorganized. You can either use your QR reader if tickets are purchased in advance or use a kiosk. They were a bit understaffed for the evening rush hour. The same person taking ticket stubs was also serving as help for the kiosks as well as cleaning theaters in between shows. Best to arrive 10-15 before the show starts. There's also a bar for those wanting grown up cocktails. read more

Music is way too loud! The decibels hurt your ears. Need ear plugs for this theater. Bathrooms are and need attention. Clogged toilet, paper towels strewn about on the floor. Footprints all over the tile in front of the concession stand. A lot of youngsters probably their first job, could use some training. read more

I've been to this theater several times before and usually the experience is good. Today when I went to see a movie, I arrived a little bit early and was the 1st person into the theater while the gentleman was cleaning. It was very cold in the theater, especially with the outside temperature dropping down to the 60s and 50s. (This should be known by the staff/management to turn the temperature up) I asked the gentleman cleaning if the temperature could be turned up in the theater because otherwise it would have been too cold for me to stay. All through the movie I felt cold blasts of air and considered getting up and leaving. At the end if the movie, as I was walking out, a couple was sitting in the back row and appeared to be wrapping up cords and a video camera into a blanket or shirt. It appeared that he had a camera and was filming the entire movie from the back row!! As I was leaving I stopped by the customer service desk to advise how cold the theater was and uncomfortable. And also to inform them about the people who were videoing the movie. The gentleman in a red shirt who claimed he was the assistant manager said he did turn the temperature up 3ﾟ which I told him could not be right and that it felt colder! I didn't feel warm at all! As far as the couple filming, he said all he could do is advise the staff to check & keep an eye out for them. He didn't seem to care much about what I was saying or about my discomfort! Just looking on his computer saying that he will let the air conditioning maintenance know about it. I truly didn't feel valued as a customer or any appreciation for letting them know that their movies are being pirated! Ironically after I went to my car and started writing this review, I saw the same couple dressed in different jackets going back into the theater! Probably to film another movie!! read more

Kind of a meh experience, I would say 3.5 stars overall. I often prefer to just stay home and stream a movie for $4.99 on my Roku, but we mixed it up and went to this theater for the first time. We had been to a lot of AMC theaters when we lived in SoCal and do love the nice seating that is often available. We came here to see a movie on a Saturday since it's $5.50 each if you catch the first showing of the day; that's really not bad at all even if the movie ends up not being the greatest. I was going to buy my tickets the night before, but it was an extra $1.50 per ticket convenience fee so I opted to buy at the theater. We weren't seeing anything super popular, so it worked out ok. It's probably worth buying them ahead of time if you are seeing a hot new movie. We came for a 10:25 AM movie and had skipped breakfast with the intention of picking up a snack at the overpriced concession stand. Unfortunately they were out of the pretzel bites, so we didn't end up getting anything to eat. The concession stand line moved slowly, so I highly recommend stopping at CVS or the grocery store for snacks before you come. You can save time and money! The line system for the concessions is really annoying, there are 2 lines. One is for premiere members and the other is for the mere non-members. It's kind of like Disney and it's fast pass system, the premiere people get to cut the line to order. There is a fair amount of parking as this Plaza is kind of on the dead side. The AMC is located next to the Goodwill. The seats themselves are the nice lazy boy type recliners which I do love! Super comfy! We will probably be back again for another matinee at the inexpensive price. read more

Decided to come here for a matinee to see Spider-Man. I'm shocked because the theater looks a lot cleaner than my last visit but then again during the day means less patrons and more time for cleaning. The check in was smooth and I got my favorite blueberry iced at the counter. Maybe I will try to visit more during the day when the theater is less crowded for a better experience. read more

It is my husbands birthday today and he wanted to go see the new Indiana Jones movie. Figured we would try amc because they advertise a full bar and upgraded experience. Bad choice. Once we arrived we went to the bar to get a glass of wine. We were told they did not have a bartender and the manager could help us but we were only allowed to get bottled beer. Why would amc hire a MANAGER that has no clue how to even serve a simple glass of wine, draft beer, or liquor. We debated on staying, but already paid for the tickets and got a couple beers. Go into the theater and no joke, it smelled like pee. It was really bad! An hour and a half into the movie, I went to get a second round of beers. Wait at the bar for a few minutes while being ignored And finally asked someone to help me. Manager again who can't serve alcohol. Great. Order the same beers and she tells me the credit card machine won't work. I ask if she can ring it up at another register and she says she can't. How is someone so incompetent being paid to run a movie theater? How does she manage people including a bartender (that did not exist today)? Why does the theater smell like pee? There are multiple theaters within a five mile radius from us. We will never come back to AMC. I feel bad I ruined my husbands birthday by taking him here. Just terrible! read more
