I frequently visit this location because it is five minutes from my house so it's very convenient. The staff is friendly. However, the concession stand where you get the drinks is always a mess. The bathrooms are always dirty and missing toilet paper, paper towel towels, and or hand soap. Now I understand that this falls more on the customers for being disrespectful and leaving a mess, but I do feel that the staff should be more vigilant on making sure that the items are stocked up. A lot of times the soda machine has no ice. Or there's no napkins to be found So that aspect, I feel that they should be doing better read more

For me if you are spending money at a Theater then you really need to go the extra mile and ensure from A-Z the theater goer has a great time. Sadly though the AMC is just not the best. I see alot of popcorn all over the place, the area where they server drink and stuff is sticky and messy, the area where they make food looks nasty cause there is popcorn everywhere. And then we get to the seats. They need an upgrade. Like I know that they all cant recline but man like please give us more comfortable seats and please lord clean the floors better. read more

Very good theater with friendly staff. The Dolby Cinema is the best but they have a variety of movie formats to choose from. Recommend you pre-order your food. It's definitely more convenient and faster. You don't have to get in line and can go straight to the pick-up area. They recently changed the food ordering lines, where they no longer have ropes to keep the line organized. So its pretty hap hazard/luck base if you get in a line with a quick cashier. Also, the premier folks only have one cashier, which doesn't make sense. They really should go back to the guide ropes. read more

First were told it's in one theater on one side then she was oh no sorry complete opposite side of the theater. We walk in there nothing nobody sit down and some of the nasty ass seats around. Nobody has even swept from the previous movie. Don't know when the last movie was even shown in this one so we walked back over to the other side as to where our movie actually is. Same condition. Apparently one guy is just walking around a broom just swinging it around, meanwhile there is like four employees sitting around the concession stand joking around. Now we're sitting in the theater totally dark without even previews being shown for a movie that's supposed to start in three minutes. Totally unsure as to what's going on here. read more

This theater need a refresh for the prices they charge, I normally drive to Springfield for cleaner experience but this was the only local theater showing the particular movie my wife wanted to see, should have waited until the lights dimmed to walk in. Concessions advertised gourmet popcorn but were out of 3 of the 4 options and this is only the second showing of the day. SMH read more

Went to see Wicked for Good today and the concessions staffer was rude, gave us terrible popcorn and was on her personal phone (guess we weren't important). Most of the soda machines were not turned on and the ones that were on had mostly unavailable flavors. The theater itself was clean but the movie started 15 minutes late (or at least the previews before the movie). Looking for a new place to watch movies, taking suggestions! read more

I would say the movie theatre is pretty good, but I only go when on special days for cheaper tickets because the movie theatre is a bit dated in terms of seats and it's more vintage. The imax does have the better seats so if you can upgrade that would be worth it. I have had experience where people talk nonstop but the customer service of the workers is pretty good and they help out pretty quickly. Overall i would say 3.5/5 read more

I have been attending this theater since 1995 and as the years go by the theater gets worst. Honestly, the Dolby recliner theaters at Potomac were splendid. Yet their attention to detail to the other theaters that do not have the "relaxed experience" are suffering. We paid to see the show Morbius and bought 3 tickets. I love the RSVPd seating, but if your seating is not clean it is hard to sit and enjoy the movie. I was so disappointed that the movie seats look terrible and that we were the first movie for 10:10 am. I made a formal complaint but also shared the good parts of the theater. The regular theaters need work and I would love AMC Potomac Mills to redo the regular theaters. We still love them! read more

I'm a movie fanatic, I love movies. This AMC theater is located with Woodbridge, Virginia at Potomac Mills Mall. There's plenty of parking opportunities at this mall. Be careful though, it's busy here during the weekends and nights. They offer front row military parking for active duty and veterans. It's first come and first serve. Let's discuss about the movie theater, they offer ticket sales at the box office, kiosk, online, AMC app, and fandango.com. Upon entering the movie theater, it messy and not very clean. We headed towards concession service was off. It was lacking stocks of lids, straws and napkins. We order nacho and drinks. Plus side they give you extra cheese without extra charge. Slushy machine was down. We went to see the movie Shang-Chi and the ten rings. Seat were sticky and not clean. People texting during the movie. Management did nothing about it. This AMC will never change. I haven't been to a movie in over two years and stopped going for this same reason. The floors near the concessions stand and drink dispensers are always filthy and sticky. Of the three drink dispensers on one side, only one has ice but not many drink choices as it's all out. Then you have to go to a different machine to find the flavor you want. If you order something that needs to be cooked, it will get cooked in a timely manner but then it sits on the warming rack with no one around to hand them out. You have to bother someone working the registers to check to see if your order is done and everyone seems annoyed you asked. Fix yourself AMC. I left two years ago and nothing has changed. Entertainment - 4/5 This is a big AMC that has a range of theaters from tiny old school types with rickety stadium style seats to a top of the range imax. They have a bar, which I love, and plenty of food options. And I honestly think AMC popcorn is amongst the best (although I'm sure my arteries hate it). I just went back for the first time in over a year since my vaccine just took full effect. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The bathrooms were clean (and indeed a staff member was in there tidying up). And they do a good job of creating seat buffers. Buying your tickets online is also a breeze. It may not be the greatest theater in the world, but it gives you a fun experience for a reasonable price. Good stuff! read more

Enough people have waxed poetic about how dirty this theater is or how the food selection sucks so I won't go back to that well. My biggest gripe about this theater is that basic theater etiquette simply does not exist here. If however you prefer to have talkers and phone-checkers in your screenings than I have just the theater recommendation for you! This should honestly be a 1-star review, but I actually used to love coming here back in the day when everything was fresh but this theatre has fallen off hard since. It's a Stockholm Syndrome for me at this point. I'll continue to give this theater one more shot only to be disappointed once again all the same. My wife and I bought tickets Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, and it was our first movie in person since 2019. We went to the counter to order popcorn, and we were the next in line, and there was only one cashier. When another cashier opened up, she didn't call for the next customer and just let some random people walk up to the cashier. The ratings for this movie theatre speaks for itself. This was one of the, if not worst, movie theatre I've been to. From the area where you butter your popcorn being grossly unkept, to the theatre itself not being cleaned before our movie. We literally walked into a popcorn filled movie theatre, from the seats themselves to the floor. The trash area had not been cleaned either and you can tell no one bothered to get the theatre together in between movie showings. The two employees that did have sweep the concession stand area, were dragging the dustpans across the floor as an "effort" to get the popcorn up off the floor. Barley using the brooms, you could tell they didn't even want to try. Management has lost control over their employees, and soon it will show in their customer numbers. It's unfortunate because this theatre is conveniently located by the mall. We won't be going back. read more

Well..... First time to Virginia and this theatre. Took three Godchildren aged 7 through 4. Purchased out tickets online. First time at an AMC , Regal cinemas folks here. Walked up to tickets taker. She was overwhelmed about the incoming crowd. "look...there is a lot of people." Wanted ID and could not understand that we had tickets on an app . Took a while to get in. Children have food allergies. Corn and etc... Could not get a small drink for the three without getting a drink popcorn box. So had to buy three sodas at seven dollars. AMC - Nice theater but the parking here is intense. You better get here early if you want to park close to the entrance otherwise it's a day hike from the remote lots. It seems like everytime I go to the movies here, they add another 5 minutes of previews and commercials. They do have a nice rewards program. They also have the kiosk option when the lines get long. Woodbridge movie cinema typically attracts (unwanted) audience interaction. For real, someone is always taking during the movies. Bathrooms are gross, floors are sticky and dirty, and the trash is always overflowing at the theater exits. Most recently we saw Star Wars in IMAX 3D. Before the movie began, the trailers were interupted because people did not get the appropriate eyewear. The staff is to blame for failing to hand out glasses upon accepting our tickets. read more

Perfect location. I'm a Stubs Member and always frequent an AMC as my steady theater to watch movies. A group of us went to this location yesterday at 4 pm. There were two concession staff to serve over 20 folks in line. And, the line continued to grow and the two staff were overwhelmed. This was causing folks to miss the credits and part of the movie. The self service soda and butter area was full of trash and spills--- total disarray. The theater was clean, and the restrooms were as well. Overall, they need to provide more help to concessions. More importantly, this was a major holiday weekend. read more

My husband and I have been going to this theater since it was built. And we are always disappointed--not in the movies--but in the service, lack of cleanliness, lack of maintenance and poor management. And this was before COVID. Now, it is still dirty, the ladies' restrooms are often out of TP even after the first movie of the day, the large popcorn still has an inch (minimum) of crumbs and husks from scraping the bottom of the bin, and seats are often dirty. They also have not maintained a good policy on COVID safety. We have finally cancelled our A-List Stubs membership. I really miss that Regal theater that used to be in Aquia. It was worth the drive. I've given this theater several chances to get its act together, but the past couple of nights has been the last straw. On July 3, 2018, when I saw Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom they didn't let anyone in until 5 minutes before show time. While this was for Dolby, which has reserved seats, I like to be able to find my seat so I know where to go if I got held up by concession. And while I thought the delay for admitting the audience was for cleaning, I would be wrong because there was still popcorn strewn about the aisles. And lack of clean theaters has been a consistent issue every time I've visited in recent years. July 5, 2018 is what was the last straw. I ordered a ticket for the 7:00 PM Ant Man & The Wasp which was said to be IMAX 3D. However, when it got to the actual showing of the movie, there was no 3D. There were technical difficulties beforehand but there was no manager that came to explain the situation. Nor was there anyone waiting after the movie to make amends for not showing it in 3D. The only reason I didn't complain is because I'm an A-list membe.r so between the two movies, I've already gotten my money's worth out of admission. Unfortunately, the consistent like of cleanliness and disappointing customer service has told me AMC Potomac Mills doesn't care anymore. If I want to, I will use the Hoffman location by my work. It's a really big facility with a huge parking lot. It definitely does not feel crowded despite a huge audience that it serves and the sheer number of theaters. While the facility does seem to have been built a long time ago nonetheless it seems very clean, well-kept, and plentifully staffed. Parking for this AMC is horrible! Yes, I know. That's how it is everywhere around this area, but you literally have to walk an average of a quarter mile to get to the entrance of this place. We got our tickets from the AMC App so we didn't have to stand in line. This is convenient, and the app itself runs smoothly and intuitively. I was with someone who had the Stubs Premier card so we were able to jump right in the Premier line and bipass the near 30-person regular concession line. There rarely ever seems to be anyone in the Premier line, so it is great! The concessions have changed slightly, in yet another ploy to try and get you to spend EVEN MORE on food that costs them a fraction of the cost. The #1 (used to be 1 large popcorn and 1 large drink, which was more than enough to share) is now 1 large popcorn and 2 large drinks. I would avoid the combos at all costs if you can! The popcorn turned out to be pretty stale. I feel they need to get their kernels elsewhere. The popcorn itself was freshly popped, but still tasted stale. They need to upgrade the rest of the theatre to the reclining seats like EVERY OTHER AMC is doing. They are too worried about closing theaters for remodeling and losing the business, I feel. I understand the nationwide shortages and all but the problems at this theatre aren't limited to that. The staff is unprofessional, the theaters are dirty, and they are out of almost everything. If the quality of the experience is so dramatically lower, then the prices should be so dramatically higher. read more
