It's been a few years since I've been to this AMC, so coming back to see Wicked: For Good was a bit of a surprise--in the best way. First off, this is a 5-star movie, and somehow we were the only people in the theater. Completely empty. No crying kids, no chatter, no distractions. Was I confused? A little. Complaining? Absolutely not. I was thrilled. The theater itself is very clean and well-maintained. The sound is excellent, the 3D effects are impressive, and the brightness of the screen is just right--clear, crisp, and very easy on the eyes. Honestly, the movie space alone made the experience feel premium and inviting. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which I appreciated. That said... the beer prices? $18 for one beer? Respectfully--no. Hard pass. I'm very glad I stopped at Hooters beforehand for a reasonably priced one. Some things just don't need to be that ambitious. Concessions were a mixed bag. The popcorn was extremely salty, and the beverages were flat, which was disappointing. But in the grand scheme of things, the actual movie-watching experience is what matters most--and that part delivered. All in all, a quiet, comfortable, high-quality viewing experience. Wasn't particularly satisfied with theater number 6. Old style seats with one arm rest for two people. Uncomfortable seating for a 2-hour plus movie. The popcorn didn't seem fresh made. Theater number 6 is a long way down the hall with no restrooms nearby. The handicap seating was the same seats with space at the end of the row possibly for a wheelchair or Walker. read more

I bought tickets on Fandango intending to see the new Bob Dylan biopic at Marcus in Orland, but noticed somehow the tickets were for this place. This theatre is pretty bare bones for 2024 with outdated decor. The seats are the old type, which is fine I guess, but my reserved seat was kind of broken and not very comfortable. The lobby and whole inside smells unpleasant, like years of people spilling popcorn oil and drinks on the carpeting and minimal cleanup being done. Even though they have several doors at the entrance only one set of outer doors are unlocked and then you have to walk all the way to the right for one single door that opens into the lobby. I didn't get any snacks because of how gross and dingy it was. This whole place really needs a full gut renovation. On the plus side the sound and picture were fine and I enjoyed the movie. Next time I'll definitely make sure I'm buying tix for Marcus since they're clean and have the really nice stratolounger seats. read more

SAFETY CONCERN. We were 1.5 hrs into our movie today and 3 people came in to tell us that we're in their seats. They had the same seats and auditorium number. Things escalated when someone else said they should just sit anywhere because they were interrupting the show. It was clear that it was not their 6pm show. They didn't like being told and began to call us names and using curse words in front of our two 6 and 7 year old kids when I told them we were going to finish the movie in the seats we paid for and they should go get a manager. I assume they realized they were wrong when they didn't return. The worst part was when I asked to speak to the manager and share our dissatisfaction but they did nothing for us. They told us about their tickets being for the wrong day and that they took care of that. How did staff allow them to get in to the theater for the wrong day? We scanned tickets at the front. The only people they accommodated was them, by allowing them into a different theater for the show. Yet they allowed people inside the facility to harass other paying patrons. For all we know, they could've seen the nice yesterday and came back today trying to use the tickets again. We spent $105 for this experience yet the staff accommodated them instead. The kids didn't even use the bathroom due to how dirty they were. Do better, AMC. Seats are very old and stiff- we def will not be returning there. read more

This place is dirty! I mean yucky icky dirty to make your skin crawl. Popcorn on the floor everywhere, and don't get me started on the bathroom. EW. At least the sound quality was good. But it's experiences like this that will cause me to stay home and wait until I can see the movie on Amazon Prime. read more

Very nice and clean inside, and that is hard to say about many other theaters. The movie we saw had two people in the audience, my wife and myself. The sound system was very loud and you might bring earplugs to lower the volume a bit. The film started 1/2 hour late, with so many commercials, it was like watching TV at home. All in all, we will be going back as many films to pick from. read more

I wouldn't have gone here if I had more options This was one of the few theaters near me that had seats left for Stranger Things Finale and I can see why they weren't totally sold out at first like all the other theaters This place is a dump. The other reviews are right, it is nasty. My coat got all dirty because it fell on the floor and got all wet??? The floors are sticky. Luckily it was dark so I didn't even see the seats. They also don't have recliners. This aspect would be forgivable if the theater was at least clean. Like, pick a struggle! Try to avoid this place if u can. I haven't been to this movie theater in years but I came to see The Bride and I'm appalled. First it smells like pee. Everywhere. It looks dirty. The bathrooms were dirty. Garbage on the ground. I just want to say that you have a wonderful employee named Kayla. I was at the AMC Quarry Theater on 2/20/26. It was an extremely windy day. I have difficulty walking and use a walker. The wind almost blew my walker away from me and I had to keep stopping. Kayla could see through the window that I was having a lot of trouble. She came outside, walked me to my car, helped me get in and put my walker in the back seat. Kayla is an angel and I wanted to let AMC know. read more

I just paid over $20 with tax for a 4PM IMAX 3D show, WAY more than Cinemark, and this place is a dump. They upgraded the lobby years ago but still have done NOTHING to make the theater itself nicer. Old uncomfortable seats, trashy restrooms (no hooks, nasty seats, auto-things don't work), stupidly overpriced EVERYTHING. The only reason I'm here is because of this particular movie with these particular options but while other locations are decent, this one is just awful. Not to mention one poor gal was selling tickets and trying to scan everyone in at the same time; super long line. Get your act together. read more

First time at this movie theatre because it's the closer one to me with Imax since the Imax at Pier is out of commission. I'm a big fan of all the parking and other stores around it so I can catch a movie and run errands before or after the movie. I didn't have to wait long to scan my amc a-list to get in and purchase my drink and snacks for the movie. I saw Shang-Chi in imax and the sound was pretty good! It was a good watch. The theatre itself was pretty clean. I just wish there were more restrooms around. read more

Well, where do i start! Out on a late night wanting to catch a flick, i've drove past the amc sign hundreds of times and i was genuinely excited to watch my first movie here. that excitement was extinguished very fast. 1. I don't recommend this theater for a couple of reasons 1)the seats are not recliners ..which is ok but not at all comfortable (which means you won't be relaxing or falling asleep). 2)picture quality was poor(I thought possible I was going blind but alas it was just poor picture quality ) it looks like it still does some business but amc is not going to invest money into this theatre .. last time I was here it was years ago before Oakbrook 12 opened up (and the there hasn't changed at all ) read more

First time to this theater. It's old and seats have been updated to the reclining seats like other AMC theaters. We went to an afternoon show so it was not as crowded. We tried to sit so we were far enough from others. Though we had people in front and back of us. It was ok. There was a seat between those next to us it was ok. The Top Gun Maverick movie was awesome. The surround sound made the experience exciting. I hope they update the seats soon. I would come back for afternoon shows. The parking lot is big. We didn't get snacks but it looked like they had enough machines so there's not a long line to fill drinks. They serve alcohol too. read more

And this this theater also has an IMAX theater as well, through I have never seen a movie on the IMAX theater at this location, through I imagine it it just like other ones, where you enter on the side, and the IMAX screen will be a lot bigger. read more

Went 5/3/25, saw the movie Sinners". Playing in theater#9. My husband, his caregiver & me. So we sat in the handicap section, he 's in a wheel chair. The theater was nasty & sticky stuff on the floor surrounding our section, I stepped by to adjust his chair & stepped into it, shoes literally sticking to the floor with that smacking sound! Then after sitting down the seats were very outdated, small, cup holders were sticking up too far, to the point where you couldn't rest your arms on the armrest because the rest is too short, and the cup holder is protruding up too far! Very uncomfortable seating! I'm 5'9", my husband's chair had to be against the area with the nasty floor. Small space! I put our jackets across the empty seat next to us, as soon as I.did they fell through the flipped up seat, hitting the flop behind it, I reached down and the filth that was behind the seat cause me to pause , hoping I wouldn't grab a rodent or worst! It super dark, the walls in the theater was covered in black carpet ! We got there about 15 minutes before the show,lights never cam on to see our way to our seats! Letters & seat numbers were so small we had to use our phone light(s)! There were no handicap doors so we had to enter by holding the doors so I could roll my husband through the theater. Not one door pad to touch to enter, no where in the big theater!!! The rest rooms were way up front from #9, I was too afraid to go along, secluded from the other theater,all the way in the back! This place needs to be remodeled and set up more conveniently for handicapped! No big recliner , outdated seating, bad restroom placement & I didn't mention the concession stand! Went for 2 $9 bags of popcorn, youn ladies were C playing in their hair, wiping noses, sweeping behind counter, right bin front of popcorn machine, no sheild, no decorum, working around food, no sanitation training,as to how to work around food! So I pretend that is was too expensive as not to purchase from her/them! Nasty! Overall experience was not good even! read more

i ordered the hot dog meal (14.98) and a large drink. we didn't realize the drink was the same amount as a meal. so we requested the meal and the worker said we got the last hot dogs and the next ones wouldn't be ready for another 2 HOURS!!!! what hot dogs take 2 hours to make? and why are your prices NOT on display in your screens? this was a lesson for me - if the price is not on display always ask. read more

Not as upgraded as other theaters. Seats aren't very comfortable, especially if someone is sitting on both sides of you in the theater. It would be nice if they upgraded this theater but I'm sure they will, when they can. Every other theater I've been to recently is upgraded with the exception of one, so it's a competitive advantage to upgrade. The customer service is ok here. The popcorn is good. I like the fact that you get to salt and butter your own popcorn. I also like that I get to pour my own drink. Overall the theater doesn't suck but in comparison to other theaters it would be awesome if they upgraded their seats at least. read more

Every time we come to see a movie, lines are out the door and only one person working in each area. Usually takes forever to get a popcorn and drink, and was told no re fills on my 20$ popcorn and slush! lol Brought my kids to see 10am show and they were yelled at by an all of a sudden abundance of crew members that were readily available on a Thursday morning! We had some time to kill so we decided to hang out outside so we didn't disturb the crew and manager who was just standing at the concession with an empty lobby! but not before she the manager/ supervisor came out to yell once more at my kids for making noise on an outside wall. I understand your Facebook scrolling is important and my random group of kids on a Thursday morning was very inconvenient and annoying for you and your mundane job. but we spent over 100$ on tickets and concession, a little more professionalism would be nice. Definitely would leave zero star rating. We walked in the auditorium and this musty smell hit us in the face. The seats need to be updated to recliners. They aren't even clean. There's no space between seats, we were lucky to have chosen aisle seats and nobody sat next to us. I was literally looking to see if our usual theater (Yorktown) had any seats available even if it was a late show. We were seeing our favorite movie franchise (John Wick 4) so we stuck it out. We only chose this theater because it's close to home and we thought it was updated. NEVER AGAIN. It was like being on a spirit airlines flight. We'll take the drive to a nicer theater always. Please don't go there. My butt even hurts from sitting on those seats. read more

They need to update the theaters with the recliner seats that many other AMC theaters have. It's just not a very pleasant experience. One time I wanted to get food and stood at the concession stand for a very long time before I walked back to the box office asking if the concession stand was even open because there were no employees there. read more

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. We preorder star wars tickets 3 weeks ago and yet we show up and a couple is sitting in 2 out of 4 seats. Turns out they have the same seat as ours. So the only response we get from management is for US A FAMILY OF 4 WHO GOT TICKETS 3 WEEKS AGO TO MOVE...while the couple who bought tickets YESTERDAY to stay. First...there is no place for 4 seats together unless its first row...second ...I told them my husband is hard of hearing so the seats we got are best for him to to read the screen caption while he sees the screen. ... Then talking to other workers...turns out this issue of selling already purchased seats happens often due to the kiosk. SO IT IS A KNOWN ISSUE AND YET THEY HAVENT FIXED IT. So we were forced to get tickets for a different show...have disappointed boyz and they ruined my boyz xmas gift...and the manager handled it horribly... I would say DO NOT GO TO THE QUARRY... 0000 no stars. Don't ever order tickets through AMC website. They did not send confirmation , it took them Over an hour to respond to an on line chat. Finally got through to a person and they told me the AMC site was not working correctly. We went to the theater and had to wait in line for over twenty Minutes because there was only one ticket sales person working. None of the computers stations were working. We were late for the beginning . When I got home I checked and was charge for two tickets for an AMC in New York. I again contacted the customer service department and was told I could not get a refund because the order was from fandango. I never called fandango. The only way this information was given to fandango was if AMC gave it to them. Stay away from AMC and especially their on line ticketing. So Now my credit card is compromised and I have a forty dollar charge read more

I cannot say enough about the staff at this theater. I accidentally ordered food online from a theater other than Quarry. The concession stand worker immediately contacted his supervisor to see if they could still honor my online order. Mario, the supervisor that night, went above and beyond to make sure my problem was solved. He actually came to the concession stand and filled the order himself. He was so friendly and courteous. Even the ticket agents were friendly. Best customer service I have received in a very long time. Also, both the theater and lobby were very clean. I had a great experience at this AMC location. We decided to see The Flash this weekend. We arrived early for the Saturday evening movie so were one of the first in the theatre (#6). The smell in the theater was awful - like it hadn't been cleaned in years. Seats are also now very outdated since so many theaters have reclining seats. Seems that once the air started flowing the smell dissipated somewhat but we won't be going back there anytime soon. read more

Review #100. I come to this theater most often only because it's the closest to my house. I much more prefer the AMC at Yorktown or the Marcus in Orland. And I have plenty of reasons. The ticketing windows are not well marked as to which ones are open. And the placement right at the entry doors causes lines to go different directions and customers get upset because it can be a mess just to get a ticket. It the ticket counters were moved just 20 feet farther in it would make a huge difference. And this theater has plenty of room to do that. There is just one set of restrooms here. And with them being behind the concession stand if you're seeing a movie in theater 8 or the IMAX screen and need to use the restroom during the movie you'll waste a long time just in the walk to and from the restroom. There must be a way to remodel the end of the hall by the never used exit doors to add small restrooms like Yorktown has. The restrooms they do have are always filthy. There was recently some fresh paint added and broken tiles fixed but there are often urinals out of order, broken towel dispensers, and broken hand blowers. This on top of used towels everywhere and rarely cleaned toilets is just plain disgusting. The optimal viewing theater seats are often broken and lean too far down. They get used more and should either be made stronger or repaired more often. I often get to the theater early just to be sure I can find an unbroken seat with a good view. Concession prices are out of control. I realize that it's an industry standard but Marcus in Orland and the theater in Warrenville have better prices even if it's just a dollar or two lower. When I see a movie here I feel the need to stop at WalMart or Walgreens first to get soda and candy. I find that very frustrating. The employees here are just average. They smile and say thank you. But if they were good or properly managed then the condiment stations and restrooms would look much better and there doesn't seem to be a shortage of employees, just an unwillingness to clean. This is the worst theater I have ever been to in my life. This is also pretty sad because I usually come here for movies. The concession stands are expensive! It's usually a $4 Skittles here, and at Walgreens I get them for only a dollar! That's pathetic! Also, the movie tickets are bad prices! The staff are not bad. They are friendly. I think it's kind of ridiculous that the ICEEs are out at noon on a Wednesday. They never told us what happened to them. I bet there are no custodians here because the station for butter on your popcorn is extremely dirty. There are pieces of popcorn and straws EVERYWHERE! The popcorn is not worth it. It can be really salty if you add salt. The butter doesn't really add flavor to the popcorn. The exterior look does not look like your average theater. It just looks like a bland box with nothing special. Here's my overall look. On the commercials for AMC, the speaker usually says AMC Amazing. They forgot the word "not" on it. In my opinion, it should say AMC Not Amazing. I'd suggest going to Marcus Theaters in Orland, La Grange Theater, or Hollywood Boulevard in Woodridge. read more
