From the outside, it doesn't look like much. Heck even from the inside it's not that impressive, but I do love their recliner seats. The concession prices are typical of other theaters...high! They do run specials sometimes such as $5 combo for teens or $2 icee when you enroll to receive text messages. I only go to the theater a few times a year but when I do, I've always ordered my tickets online at Fandango.com. It's so easy and saves me time at the line and you can reserve your seats. Definitely a must do otherwise you may not get to sit with the rest of your party. AMC stubs changed their membership program a couple months ago. It's free to be a AMC Stubs Insider member, and $15 a year to be an AMC Stubs Premiere member. To order tickets on Fandango.com, there's a convenience fee per transaction if you're not an Stubs premier member. I'm not sure if the fee is waived as well for Insider members. I have the Premier membership and definitely feel the yearly membership pays for itself despite not going to the movies often. You automatically get $5 back just for signing up / renewing and there are other perks such as free movie screenings. Side Note: Tmobile members. I went mid day during the week so didnt experience the peak crowds. Seats are assigned and selected when you buy your ticket. I love this because nothing is worse than looking and asking if seats are free. You know exactly where to go. They have red reclining leather seats in loveseat form with a movable central arm rest. The cup holders are on the outside armrests. My seat was still functional but the leather was torn significantly with tape repairs. It needed to be replaced. The bathroom was clean enough but there was mold in the hand drier. Eww! They offer alcohol as part of their refreshment options. Movie pass accepted. Theaters are clean, and the seats are comfortable. They don't have as big a food selection as some of the other theaters but they have the basics and they serve alcohol. The imax theater does not have reclining seats even tho you pay extra to watch in imax. Bathrooms are pretty basic movie theater bathrooms. They could use a little updating. read more

I can't remember the last time I ventured out to a theater on a movie's opening day... I decided to give it a try. I purchased tickets three days in advance via Fandango with no hiccups. Our family of four visited AMC 24 to see Fantastic Beasts: Crimes of Grindelwald on Friday November 16, 2018. We rolled in at start time (8:45pm) easily! There was no crowd. No wait. I presented my mobile ticket directly to the ticket taker and we entered. No middleman or visiting ticket window. Seamless. I couldn't believe it was a Friday not and we walked right up to the concession counter to order snacks. AMC 24 was staffed appropriately. The theater appeared clean and our red recliners were comfy and functioned fine. Theater 13 was HUGE with pristine visuals and sound quality. Overall, great Friday night at AMC 24. read more

Gross. Just paid $100 and drove out of my way for my family to go watch a movie in IMAX and wish I would have just stayed with my local Cinemark XD instead. The seats are old and uncomfortable. The floor is sticky and smells. The IMAX was big but didn't have that 3D like feel that IMAX is supposed to have and the only reason we paid twice as much as we would have to see the movie in our local Cinemark theater. The movie started half an hour late because the projector wasn't working. Management just says "sorry, here's some points" so they clearly don't care. Lesson learned. read more

I really like what AMC is doing. I've become a Premier member recently so I tend to take advantage of those privileges. Ordering my tickets through the mobile app, getting discounts, points toward cash rebates, having a special like to jump the crowd at concession; in love with this program. My husband loves the recliner chairs and seat selection mosts. Since getting free movie screening movies I've gained a newfound love for going to the movies and I've i prefer this brand over the others. This is a favorite movie house for my senior citizen friends. They love to reserve their special seating and they are all members of the Stubbs Club. There was a time that I look forward to attending AMC but upon my most recent visit I was very disappointed that time has taken its toll upon this lovely place. Seats were cracked or split some did not recline and the plush reclining seats was the selling point for me. I went to the movie with a Yelp friend. We purchased our seats in advance online, easy peasy! They have assigned seating-speaking of the seats! Wow! They are huge leather type seats with a button you push to recline back. So comfortable. I bought the kids pack that had just the right amount of popcorn for me, fruit chews and a drink. You serve yourself at the drink stands now. I saw on another review that the place needs deep cleaning, which I am hoping for them to do. Kudos all the way for a comfortable movie watch. read more

My sons and I went to Regency AMC on Christmas night for some family time and relaxation! Regency AMC has long been my choice of theaters due to the proximity of my house, and for quite a while, it was the only place in town with reclining seats. I haven't been to the movies much in the last 2 years due to Covid. Maybe once and at a different theater. I do recall Regency AMC being fairly clean and a decent place to go. This go round, unfortunately, my experience was not up to par. When we arrived at the theater, there was no outside lighting! The park lots were very dark. The only thing lit up were the glass cases with movie posters on the outside of the building. It was a little eerie. At the entrance, the carpeted area just inside the doors was filthy. It looked like no one had vacuumed it for a week. Our wait in the concessions line was not too bad, despite the fact that the place was pretty much packed. The first 2 drink machines I tried had no ice. And were also out of caffeine free Diet Coke. I hit the jackpot on the 3rd one! I guess the lighting issue also affected the signs outside each individual theater entrance, because none of the theaters had the movie titles on them. We had purchased our seats online beforehand. The lights were still on when we arrived at our chosen spot. Those lights were really too bright, because I was able to see that the seats didn't look very clean. I had some hand sanitizer with me and I wiped down our seats with the napkins we had for our popcorn. I then realized that the seats probably weren't as dirty as they were worn in spots. My drink holder had a used half full drink cup still in it. Ugh. I guess they don't have employees clean the theaters between showings anymore. In the past, I remember always having to wait for a seat while someone cleaned the carpet with a roller and cleared any trash. We did enjoy the movie despite all of this! One positive thing about Regency AMC since the reclining seats were installed-if you are in the regular theater and not IMAX anyway-the sections are far apart and there is no one kicking the back of your seat. Especially of you are sitting on the end of a row, it feels like you are in your own little quiet space, almost like at home on the couch. That's because there is a high "side wall" which keeps you from noticing people walking up and down the steps. I like to sit on the end because I'm a little claustrophobic! Sitting on the end does mean that others will likely need to walk past you to get to their seats...but guess what, there is plenty of room for them to do that and you don't have to stand up and let people by like you used to in the old theaters. Just a much more spacious space! Also on a more positive note, the ladies room was clean. The concessions employee was very friendly. Overall, it was not a stellar night at Regency AMC, but I will probably go again sometime and hope things will be better. read more

it's an A-OK place to watch a movie. Sometimes I feel like I'm living on the edge depending upon what time I visit this movie theatre. Come on people... you know what I mean. That said, I recommend visiting it during the day or early evening before the teens are hanging out in the parking lot. lol I like to buy my tickets online and pick my seat. I like that most staff members are friendly and professional. I like that most of the times the theatres are clean. Of course, yesterday seat C5 in theatre 15 was a little crazy. The seat was shredded and smelled of smoke. I rolled with it but "No es bueno". Perhaps a drink at the bar would have made the seat feel better .... but.... we were told no one was available to tend to the bar. MMMMMMMMM- (Said with pursed lips) My seat mate in C6 was a large man and pulled up the arm divider. HIs wife was seated in C7 and I guess didn't mind that our closeness felt intrusive and was just strange I was a little perplexed and uncomfortable but decided to be empathetic to what he needed due to his large size. In the end, I loved watching the movie even though my seat mate fell asleep and snored while his wife filmed the movie on her phone. Perhaps I should have given them my number so I could have gone over to their house and watched the movie again. My other friends sitting to my right, love this theatre and consider this experience just part of the "flavor". I like their attitude and will be back. read more

Revolutionizing the movie-going experience! This is THE go-to theater for all those who live East of the river. We will never frequent a "standard" theater again. Reserved seating ROCKS! And the reclining chairs at AMC Regency outshine nearby competitors. These chairs are large and beyond comfortable. Plus the armrests lift and basically create a giant reclining sofa! I cannot recommend this theater enough. (There is an AMC in Orange Park, but I cannot comment as to how it compares). read more

My wife and I went to this establishment to see the movie "Forged", which by the way is an excellent movie. We paid cash for the movie tickets, and we choose to use a debit card for some refreshments which consisted of water and some caramel and cheese popcorn. Apon getting to or seats we discovered the popcorn was apparently from the world war 2 era and decided to return it for a refund. I went to the concession stand and the refund, I thought, went off without a hitch. A day later there was a charge on the debit card for the movie tickets. WFT, I paid cash for the tickets and now they're trying to charge me twice for something I paid cash for. We immediately contacted customer service only to keep getting the run-around. I am trying to figure out why did the concessionaire go back and charge my debit card for something I paid cash for in the beginning! This situation sounds like some type of embezzlement and fraudulent bullshit. We contacted corporate and of course there is more bullshit going on as to they are requiring screenshots, receipts, last colonoscopy and a stool sample. My question to this establishment is how in the hell do you charge me for movie tickets twice when I paid cash for them? Something in the milk isn't clean with this situation. I want my money returned. So, in retrospect here's what we learned from this fiasco, do not use any type of credit or debit card at this establishment, use cash only and do not eat they're prehistoric snacks. read more

I have not been to a theatre that I didn't want to leave after the movie. Those red recliners are a winner! This place is huge even the bathrooms are spacious enough for a party inside. I found the theatre to be very clean no visible trash or popcorn on the floor. The restrooms also very tidy and this is a Friday night visit. I came to see Spider-Man: Homecoming this past week in the morning and the theatre was clean. The movie began on time and there was a regular amount of previews before the movie. The seats are those very comfy recliner seats. The ticket price was a reasonable $6 bucks for a movie before noon. I will be coming back here for sure now that I live in the city. The only suggestions I have to make this location better area that perhaps more than one person should be selling tickets. I had to wait 10 minutes to buy my tickets and it was the morning. Second, it was raining and there is not very much cover for you to stay dry when buying tickets. I would suggest some umbrella stands at the very least. read more

I do my best to engage in human interaction and usually go to the window, there hasn't been a bad experience that I can recall. This location has added a full bar. I am not one to have a drink and watch a movie but if you're ever so inclined, there's an option. The floors are always clean, no stray popcorn kernels, lids, straws from cups and not sticky! Once you walk into your designated theater, you'll notice the leather reclining seats. Updates all over the place: big electric powered comfortable recliner seats, premium theatre sound, renovated bathrooms, customer service desk, and concession stand. In the past, this theatre was "ok". So, I tried alternative theatres to find something better, but they were nothing special either. They've made some updates to this theater in the last couple years, but I'm from a place where our movie theaters are 10 times as nice. I like the recliners, but just like most theaters it's way too cold. This AMC has definitely improved since adding the new recliner seats....Although, it can be a pain in the butt to get tickets at the last minute since seating is now assigned..... It's best to plan ahead of time and avoid last minute trips to the movies if possible because odds are the film you're planning to see will not have seats available or your party will have to split up... I purchased my tickets through the AMC app, and for whatever reason it kept giving me errors, finally I was successful in purchasing the tickets. Also they should have an option to buy military discounted tickets, I can verify by Military status at the local theatre but the fact I can't get discounts on the App will probably be the determining factor as to why I won't use the app again, until they make that enhancement. Also being that Jacksonville is a military town, the military tickets should be available online. read more

I caught a matinee show of Ride Along 2. The food I ordered was hot it was about a 15 minute wait to receive it, I ordered the Chicken Strips with curly fries and a drink. I do like they have the multi-purpose soda machines now. Now to move on to the assigned seating not really a fan when I arrived at my seat i found a woman fully reclined, passed out, and drooling on the seat that i reserved. First movie theater that I've been to that offers reclining seats for regular seat ticket pricing. I've been to one other place prior to coming here and that was in Miami (years ago). It was one of those theaters where you can order food and eat while you watch the movie. The price for a ticket was ridiculous too. $50 if I recall correctly. Anyways, I love that they offer regular pricing for reclining chairs. Not sure but I think they inspired other theaters in Jacksonville to renovate because Tinseltown also have reclining seats too. read more
