Mu husband and I went yesterday to see Harry Potter (waaay late, I know) and chose AMC Studio 30 since it was pretty much the only place playing it anymore. We usually go to Town Center because it's near our house, but I have to say, we are switching over. We had about 30 minutes before the movie started so we went into the over 21 "bar" area. It's really set up like a pretty nice bar with tables, TVs etc. We each ordered beers (reasonably priced) and appetizers - crab rangoon dip for me, potato skins for him. They were each $7.99 (about the same price as a Chili's type place) and equal quality-wise. They were good, they came fast, and everything was hot. We were really impressed with the cleanliness and menu options. We didn't see our movie in a cinema-suite - which has the food available inside and brought by wait staff. We peeked in one of the theaters though and they have these cool red leather recliners with tables and looked very comfortable. Overall, it's the nicest movie experience we've had in a while and i think it's because we had a place to go away from the hundreds of teenagers. We'll be back to try the cinema suites this week. read more

My wife and I quit going to movies because we were tired of being crammed into a small theater seat. We discovered the Fork and Screen Suites at AMC and have returned to movie watching outside of our home. The leather recliners are very comfortable, the food is great and you can't beat having NO kids in the movie! Highly recommend you give the Suites a try. read more

Spent 21 hours watchung the Star Wars marathon. The staff were very attentive and accommodating. The entire event was very organized. The only issue was waiting 20 minutes for a pizza, and it due to being sleep deprived, I made abigger deal out of it than it was. The associate handled my "bitch" wonderfully. We went to a fork and dine movie tonight and had deplorable service. It was at least 15 minutes after arriving before anyone even approached us AND we had pressed the service button. The guy who finally approached us informed us that he wasn't our server, but was just helping out. We gave him our entire order because we knew nobody would be coming back to us soon. Someone different brought our drinks, and a third person brought our food (appetizer and entrees all at once). I asked all 3 people for lemon for my iced tea and never got it. Nobody ever came back to check on us AND we had pressed the service button. A fourth person finally showed up about 20 minutes later and when my husband ordered a beer, she informed him that she can't order him a beer, only our server could do that. Too bad we never knew who our server actually was!!! My husband went to the bar to get his beer and iced tea for me, and missed at least 15 minutes of the movie. The guy next to us ordered a soda and got it 30 minutes later. This experience was beyond horrible, especially considering the overpriced drinks, food, and movie tickets. This is my favorite theater in the KC area. The screens are huge and high quality, the seats are comfortable and in good condition and when you add the Fork & Screen, Cinema Suites, MacGuffins and their food court style concession area, it's a great theater and a fun time. The AMC theater is my favorite place to go watch movies! The seats are very comfortable and they are very handicap friendly. The only think I have a problem with is how much the food and drinks cost. You can end up spending 20 dollars on just drinks and one popcorn! It's crazy! But the movies are reasonable if you go during the week before 5pm so that's a great thing to know! I also really think they keep the bathrooms very clean for such a big establishment! They are doing great! read more

Loved the movie, good projection, good resolution, 3D was acceptable, and sound was ok. I don't think we will be going back to Fork and Screen any time soon, however. The table and menus were very sticky, service was mediocre at best. I understand it's a movie theater, with a restaurant in it, and not the pther way around, but I still expected a little better. read more

This is still my favorite movie theater. Has it all, from serving you food and drinks at age limited seating to regular theater type of set up. It can get pricey, the food I mean, but it's still a great place to go see 3D, or any type of movies. read more

It can get expensive (as any theater does) but the place is really nice. Sound is always great there. Make sure and try the fork and screen, that's a cool experience, but getting just two cokes and appetizer was about $20. There's a bar outside that area but didn't have time to sit down. Always loved this location. However the recent Fork & Screen menu changes are awful. Not only is nothing appetizing, but they jacked the prices up. Also the main draw to Fork & Screen and Cinema Suites was always the age limit. F&S was 18+ unless with a guardian, Cinema Suites was 21+ no exceptions. It guaranteed that your expensive outing would not be ruined by a group of 14 year old girls doing everything but watching the movie. Now F&S has no age restriction and Cinema Suites is 18+ unless with a guardian. Which means that R rated movie I went to last weekend at 11pm and spent $18 for the ticket, I got to sit next to a young couple and their 6 month old. read more

I absolutely love this place! I go to the movies at least a couple times a month. I give it 4 stars because they have very few low calorie treats. I for one appreciate the calorie count due to a sometimes restricted diet, but even the kids menu options can range over 1,000 calories plus for a simple meal. I don't mind paying extra for healthier substitutions that are hot and low calorie. I do love their bar, and their staff is pretty good. I will be back ! read more

Advertise "Dine In" but theatre did not have dine-in service. The "restaurant" area where you could order a "meal" had only two servers. We waited 10 minutes and never even got a "hello". We visited this theater recently and took advantage of the in-theater dining. The concept is great. However, the execution leaves something to be desired. Service was good and the seats were very comfortable which garners 4 stars here, but honestly the food was nothing to be excited about. I had a glass of wine which was good. We love the cinima suits here. It is great for date night with my hubby for one reason, no one under 18 allowed! It is for adults only which means no talking kids, obnoxious teenagers, or crying babies. Don't get me wrong, I love my kids, but I know people don't want to watch a movie they paid $30 to see with them at a theater. It's nice that there is a place to see movies with other adults, drink a glass of wine, and eat a nice meal, something other than overpriced candy and salty popcorn (although you can still get those too.) The one downside is that the chairs recline, but they squeak something terrible when you do, which everyone can hear if you do it during the movie. I am sure there is some silicone spray or something they could use. read more

This is my favorite movie place. Great sets for all the theaters. The best is the cinema suits though. It has nice big personal couches that recline all the way back and a server that comes straight to your seat. Food is just average but the service it fantastic! I had a little bit of an issue navigating their website and a lot of confusion because I bought tickets for the theater with recliners and got one with no recliners and ended up sitting in computer chairs, but the only reason I didn't give this five stars is because I of that issue and the express checkout had my popcorn sitting for a minute which made it cold. But I turned in a complaint to AMC costumer service and I just got off the phone with a gentleman name Jeff who tried to figure out why I had the issues i did plus he gave us two free tickets. I love this theater and having been going since I was young. And usually is worth the drive from my house(20mins), this one I'll trip definitely didnt ruin the whole theater for me and it really was great that they did everything plus more to make sure I have better trips in the future! read more

We wanted to go to the first showing of The Last Jedi. One ticket dispenser did not work. The second automated ticket dispenser took our money but did not print out tickets. By this time the line to buy movies was ridiculously long and the theater company only had 1 cashier. Love the dine-in. My husband and I go here every weekend and sometimes on Tuesday with our bring a friend perk from AT&T. The premium stubs is worth it. We get a $10 rewards almost every month, plus really nice discounts on tickets. Their food is really, really good. My husband and I order the sushi and the burgers almost always, but we've tried everything. The only food I didn't like was the mac and cheese with chicken tenders, the mac and cheese was a little dry. Other than that one of our favorite places to eat for date night. read more

The overall visit was okay, we had some issues buying tickets (we were sold tickets to the wrong showtime) noticing the mistake of his co-worker Jakob was able to rectify the situation and get us into the correct show. This kid was great at doing customer service and was one of the most professional people in the facility! He even helped my family of 2 Adults and 5 kids get signed up for a stubs card which we did end up earning a reward on it just today from our tickets and concessions. This kid knows what he is doing and I would like to see him working inside the theater in more of a customer service position. It seems like he would succeed at that. He is one worker that AMC truly needs to keep around. If it werent for good workers like him, my family and I would not be returning to this AMC location. read more

Not a fan of AMC. We've had numerous bad experiences with the Olathe and Leawood locations. I'll give three examples. At the Leawood location several years ago, a verbal fight broke out following a film in the theater, and it looked like it was going to get physical. It was a week night, so I went to look for an employee, because the people needed to get kicked out. I couldn't find any employee in the whole establishment. Fortunately, when I came back, the situation had resolved itself. Another example is when we went to see Django Unchained a few years ago. What smelled like a fire broke out in the theater, and people began getting up and leaving. The security guard on duty asked people to return to their seats without giving an explanation to the smell, although we eventually found out it was a popcorn fire. Security really should give a better explanation than just ordering people back to their seats, especially in wake of what happened on 9/11. A final example was a young employee at the Leawood location who was making rude comments about a person who was sitting in the theater watching ending credits. Apparently, he was disrupting her from being able to get in and clean the theater. Specifically, she referred to this person as a "loser who was watching credits like he was going to miss something". I will say their corporate office is good about listening to complaints, and they will send free tickets as compensation for problems, but it seems like nothing changes. This is why we don't patronize AMC anymore. Plus, they are involved in lawsuits with smaller chains. Specifically, it has to do with distribution rights, and the Department of Justice is starting to get involved. As for seating, I used to think it was decent until another theater opened in our area. This theaters' seats do not give me a backache. read more

Went here to see a movie tonight with my husband. We were really excited since we hadn't had a chance to go to a movie for at least 6 months, and it was going to be a late Valentine's celebration. Well we didn't even make it through the previews before the projector broke the first time. Once it was restarted it quickly broke again less than 2 minutes into the movie. After waiting about another half hour with screaming restless children running around us, we were told they couldn't fix the projector and cancelled the showing. The only compensation we received were tickets to a future showing that expire in September! We ended up wasting over an hour of our time and we didn't even get our actual money back. I expected that they would offer something more for the disappointment of ruining our evening plans and wasting our time. Once we go back and use our tickets (since we couldn't get money in return), I don't think we will be coming to AMC anymore. read more

Ate at "Fork and Screen" way overpriced but that doesnt matter, if you pay for it, you pay for it. The problem for me was was the food, I got a milkshake with a couple of long strands of hair in it, i think for sure that one of the cooks must have intentionally put them in there because I cant understand how that would just happen, I mean they were rolled up in like a couple of circles, obviously I didnt drink it, I was going to complain to a server but they just ignored us throughout the whole movie and looked at us like "oh great, another customer trying to get me to do something for them, ugh" So I decided to just come here and say it read more

Had bad experience in back row of reserved seating. Unable to see bottom 1/3 of screen. Am of averaged height. Wine overpriced.

First sign should of been their website 1/2 was down all am/mid afternoon so we couldn't order tickets online. We get there early, only 2 KIOSK are working but you wouldn't of known the others were not bc there was not signs or notifications until end of transaction stating on ONE out of paper, the other was off completely, and the other machine you would get to the end and press complete and nothing would happen after waiting 6 ppl deep in line. Went to customer service as the lines for ticket booth were extremely long and I wanted to make sure I wasn't charged at the KIOSK that stated no paper to not get an apology but he did take my payment only to find out later he charged me AGAIN and gave me $2 off for inconvenience which was ridiculous but I had several small kids who were already running all around, Decided to get the $9.18 popcorn that was not filled all way up about 1/4 low, cold and would have to wait several min for a new batch. BEST PART was sitting 2nd row!!!! Pointless to even sell those tickets. Kids are so small they cant even lean back to see screen as it nose bleed and if you can, you get neck ache and eyes sore bc the screen is blurry. $50 LATER and no follow up when I mentioned this online with AMC contact service to still await follow up over 24 hours later. Couldn't wait 30 min for manager to pick up the line to assist w refund of double charge. We won't be coming back anytime soon! read more

When getting our tickets, there was only second row seating available and we asked the lady if the second row would make us watch the movie while staring straight up at the screen. She said no that it wasn't bad. She was WRONG!!! Not only were the seat horrible, our waiter acted like we were inconveniencing him from the moment he first arrived all the way to the end.
