filthy bathrooms and the kid in there to clean it hid in the other stall with his broom and dustpan and was playing on his phone! This theater ALWAYS has absolutely filthy bathrooms!!!

AMC Tysons makes patrons leave visible water bottles outside the theater. (Bring your bag!)

Until AMC Tysons changes its boneheaded policy on water bottles, this theater gets one star from me. See photo: managers insist that patrons' visible water bottles are left unguarded outside the theater. Leaving those personal water bottles unguarded is a great way to assist a malicious person to steal a container or even roofie another person. Managers at AMC Tysons have made this policy decision; the policy is different at other AMC theaters. I've talked with managers and complained online, but nothing has changed. Apparently, keeping down the risks of a few folks stealing soda is worth the negative risks of stolen containers or adulterated drinks. You can tell that this AMC doesn't care a bit about protecting personal property--or patrons' personal safety.

This amc is in a great location. Convenient/clean and have a variety of options to choose from depending on the experience you want. The snacks are expensive which is why they lose a star but really that seems to be the norm for theaters everywhere. Their workers are polite and fast so you're not standing around long. Thanks @yelpelite for the awesome date night!

I have been coming to this location for a long time. I love that this location has majority of the free advanced movie screenings. On a recent visit viewing the movie Death of a Unicorn, the popcorn ordered was supposed to not have salt on it. When we received it, it had salt on it. Anthony who assisted me and immediately made a new batch of unsalted popcorn. I really appreciated how friendly he was and went above and beyond to assist me. Thank you Anthony!!! I want to make sure Anthony is recognized. I recommend getting their stub premiere membership too. You get a free large popcorn and drink for your birthday month! The service fees are waived. You can earn $5 off rewards & stand in the premier line at the concession stand. This is located in Tyson's 1 mall and I always park on the top floor of the garage where Nordstrom is located.

My husband and I came to AMC Tyson's for an early release of The Accountant 2. There was a line of people waiting to get in when we arrived and the theatre made it easy for you to get in and see the movie. We were able to order food and drinks from the bar/concession. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and cannot wait to come back to AMC Tyson's.

    Filthy seats.

I normally try not to write bad reviews. However this is June 2025. The red cloth seats are filthy. It doesn't need to be cleaned, just replaced. Men's restroom also needs more cleaning - smells. It's been like this for Years. With the location being in Tyson Mall and in this area it seriously needs better up keep. If I can I visit other AMC locations.

This theater was nice and clean. I came for here for a movie screening and the staff at the concession stand was so friendly and patient. It was pretty quiet but it was also a Tuesday night, not sure if that made a difference but,I like that this theater has the kitchen opened and you can see the employees preparing everything. The pizza was hot but it's not very tasty. It sort of reminded me if 711 pizza--and I think they need a new distributor because we all know the movies are to expensive to be selling BS.If you're going to sell cardboard, at least put some season that ish. But on a positive note, if you really like to relax they have a bar inside of the theater for you. I haven't been to a movie theater since before Covid. This was a wonderful experience for my first returning.

Does this theater have recliner chairs?

Yes it does. But I don't believe all the theaters do, so check which one your movie is playing in. It does say in the ticket.

What night is the $5 movie night for senior citizens?

I don't know if they have senior citizen movies but they do have cheap Tuesday nights.

Does anyone know the manager of the AMC of Tysons?

No, however, if you call them, they should be able to give you that information.

Before the Michael movie began, my husband and I ordered popcorn, two milkshakes, and a meal for him (I believe it included skewers). Our total was over $70. My husband waited about 25 minutes for his meal before going to the counter to ask about it. He was told they were understaffed and returned to our seats. After another 25 minutes, the food still had not arrived. He went back to the counter, and they refunded only the meal he never received. In my opinion, the entire order should have been refunded because the delay significantly impacted our movie experience. My husband spent much of the beginning of the movie waiting and expecting his food, and ultimately had nothing to eat except popcorn. The bathrooms were also not well maintained. Multiple toilets were clogged and would not flush, leaving them filled with urine and toilet paper. The sinks were surrounded by water and strands of hair. In the family restroom, the toilet was continuously flushing, smelled strongly of urine, and the toilet seat was covered in dirt or some kind of buildup. I love the comfortable seats, but the poor service and lack of cleanliness made me hesitant to return. If I am paying premium prices for both dining and a movie, I expect timely service and clean facilities.

You must park in the garage (not in the outdoor lot or street parking). They had a machine to validate the parking ticket at the guest services counter, and we were covered for the full three hours. It was easy to find the theater. We took the escalators up and found the kiosks parked right outside the movie theater entrance. They had multiple kiosks in the hallway where you can buy your tickets and order food in advance. Once you enter the theater lobby, there's even more kiosks set-up. There was even extra lobby/lounge seating if you want to enjoy your food and drinks outside the theater. (Note: this is for the movie theater food, not your own - outside food and drinks are not allowed.) There's another bar dining area and additional theaters (9-14) on the upper level. Reclining leather seats have become the norm at most movie theaters. But LOOK raises the bar with heated seats AND buttons to adjust the headrest. We are living in the future here! But wait, there's more. They have swinging trays attached for a "movie-dinner" experience and QR codes on said seat trays to scan and have the food delivered right to your seat! You can also order at the concessions stand, but it's just not as fun (though there is an 18% service fee tacked on... call it a built-in gratuity for the door-to-door service). Brunch items are served before 2pm. They also have alcoholic beverages for that adult dining experience. We ordered popcorn and a soda and one of their brunch items - Chicken and Pancakes! The popcorn and soda were brought directly to the seats within five minutes. The chicken and pancakes came about 30 minutes later, while the movie had already started. We actually thought they had forgotten about the chicken and pancakes because there was no acknowledgment of the order being worked on when the popcorn was delivered. Several other people received their food items throughout the movie (the staff have little flashlights and will make their way to you). It can be a little distracting, but it winds down as most people will be watching the movie instead of ordering more food on their phone. People ordered pizzas, bowls, chicken tenders, burgers, etc. Instead of the movie theater smelling like popcorn, it smells like a restaurant (primarily of hot fried foods). This can make you hungry during the movie and might make you want to order more food. I was tempted to order fries during the movie, but I opted to keep my phone away and enjoy the movie. At the end of the movie, four giant trash cans were near the exits and they were overflowing. Good for the theater for making all those concession sales, and good for the audience for cleaning up after themselves. We sat in Row D and I did find the sound to be a smidge too loud. Some scenes in the movie were a little pixelated. I'm not sure if that's due to me sitting in the fourth row (too close to the screen) or if that's more on the movie studio. Restrooms were okay... generally clean, which I would hope since we were one of the first screenings of the day. I will note that the sink water pressure wasn't great and some of the sinks didn't seem to work. But overall, this is a nice movie theater experience if you're looking to indulge, kick back, relax, and enjoy the show.

I will admit this theater is not the cheapest, but I was very satisfied with my overall experience. You're able to select your seats ahead of time, and there are two seating options - regular and luxury. I went with the luxury seats because I wanted fully reclining chairs and in seat food service. The luxury seats also have heated and cooled seating, which was a nice touch. The ticket does include an extra charge for the restaurant service, but it was convenient being able to order food directly from my seat. Parking is included with your ticket, just remember to enter the validation code. You get up to 4 hours free in the garage. Service is limited in the garage, but you have about 20 minutes after parking to enter your information for validation. You scan a QR code and enter your car and parking information to "secure your spot". But it's difficult to access the site while in the garage (you have 20 minutes within arriving to do so). So I suggest taking the elevator upstairs and getting on WiFi to do the parking part. The concession is on the ground level and the theaters are upstairs and no one seemed to be around to direct patrons on check tickets (do what you will with this information, lol). The space itself is decent enough. I didn't have any food so can't comment on that. I don't need to return. Other theaters that serve food and have reclining seats are more convenient.

I didn't read anything about LUZIA, but the show actually exceeded my expectations! This intimate performance transported us to a surreal and an imaginary Mexico, inspired by the country's rich culture. I absolutely enjoyed their soundtrack, so definitely getting their album! Our seats were the best, as we had a wonderful view of the overall stage. What a great way to spend a Thursday evening - thank you so much! +amazing performances! +wonderful soundtrack!

This was probably close to my 10th Cirque Du Soleil show but first since the pandemic. For those…read morewho still care, masks were almost non-existant but there were a few in the crowd and employees. As another reviewer said, it's fairly easy to park at the mall and walk. If you park at Tyson's Corner Center (Tyson's 1, not the closer Tyson's 2/Galleria) IMO it is not obvious how to cross the street from the mall, so it took a bit of exploring. Another reviewers hint to look for the metro and use the bridge was solid (paired with logical keep to sidewalks). So first the "bad": * I think this was the first Cirque show I've seen where I saw mistakes. Ironically, given another reviewer praise, it was with the ring events. * I also think this was the first Cirque show I've been to where there were noticable 'cleanup' crew on stage that were not "in character" part of the show (besides between acts). * Finally, there was a lot going on at times with this show. My SO said that is not atypical but acknowledged sometimes it seemed like there were 2 acts going on at once (in addition to the always small things to look at). To their credit this does give some rewatch value for whoever can afford that. * Occasionally spotlights were in my eyes. This might have been seating but I suspect all but the middle or maybe far corners would have been affected at some point. More informational than bad, besides those spotlights, because the stage rotates I didn't really feel like the more expensive seats were worth it. I think being in the nosebleed seats likely would have been fine as long as you don't care about close up costume detail or maybe some crowd interaction. Maybe not the far right and left. I will add the online ticket/seat picking map makes the place look a lot bigger than it is. Aside from all that, the performances were solid and the music was stellar. SO said it was nice things were bilingual (spanish english) vs the "normal" French. Maybe it has been because it's been a number of years, but things to me felt fresh and new. Before the pandemic SO and I were mulling how Cirque shows were feeling a bit stale. If you disagree with me and don't find this fresh, my advice is take some time off and come back, maybe that's what it was. Maybe it was our seats but of all the Cirque I've been to, it felt like the actors on stage were smiling and nodding specifically at me vs in general. I also really appreciated the "freeze" scenes because I know that takes a ton of strength and almost every single performer was doing it. As far as the water add, I disagree with another reviewer. IMO anything you can do without water, is more difficult with water and was well executed and fun to watch. The masks and puppetry (in addition to normal costumes) was all good. One "comedy" in between acts did involve having a large ball tossed around the audience which I felt was an accident waiting to happen. Luckily it never came our way. I also cannot say I remember noticing so many repeat performers before. It wasn't stale but I do wonder if they shrunk their crew. Last notable thing for me was there were a lot of people taking video or flash camera and security was on them pretty fast which I appreciated. The light is very distracting in an otherwise pretty dark performance area, probably also for performers safety. As for the timing of the show, the doors opened 30m before showtime. This was not stated on the tickets like the general area or concessions were. There was one "25 minute" intermission. We did not leave our seating area during that time. Unlike other reviews said, there were no metal detectors nor were our bags searched. We could have brought in outside food if we wanted. I am not sure if that was because the show was ending soon and they were over it. Your milage may vary. Bathrooms (pre-show) were the typical tight flushable portopotties...think airplane bathroom. My door was kind of questionable and I thought I might get locked in but I didn't :P My toilet also did not flush maybe it was in disorder. I thought I heard through a wall "is there no soap?" but I tried not to listen too hard :P Water was 6.50 but came in a metal (probably reusable) container. There was free water (and small plastic cups) which I had not seen before. In case it matters it was a Thursday show.

The biergarten has ample canopy seating with long benches and tabletops, perfect for groups! You can't make reservations. They have a strict policy of no outside food or drinks. The ambiance is very casual and there's no table service. Rather than ordering through a QR code, place your order at the bar and then you'll get a text alert when the food is ready for pick-up at the long table closest to the bar. The line is always pretty short and you can get a drink within 5-10 min, the food takes longer and even up to 1/2 hour for fries. I would stick to the beer on draft, the cocktails can be hit/miss depending on the bartender, the draft drinks tend to have better consistency. The Wildberry Mule cocktail and Pina Colada Sangria and Peach Seltzer on draft were my picks while the Bourbon Smash, Passionfruit Mojito, Pina Colada Mojito, and the Passionfruit Seltzer were misses. On the flip side, the bartenders poured a generous amount of Prosecco for Mimosas, much appreciated! The bottled Angry Orchard apple cider is generally my go-to. There's always a mocktail on the menu (came in handy when I was pregnant!) The new battered fries are so much better than last year! The menu is limited with simple bar food (bbq pulled pork sandwich, burger, grilled cheese, hot dog, fries, kettle chips). Wish there were more vegetarian options like charcuterie board, hummus and crackers, nachos, mac and cheese, etc. While I give credit for having a Veggie Burger on the menu, it's sad and disappointing. It has a very smoky meaty flavor (from the grill, not the patty) with lackluster toppings - the vegan cheese is disgusting. I would swap out the kettle chips and pay the upcharge for fries. The doughy pretzel sticks are quite salty and a step up from the movie theater. They are good for absorbing the alcohol! Despite these minor complaints, I love coming here with family and fries. So glad The Perch opened up, Starr Hill Biergarten is a great spot to kick back and relax with a beer or 2!
