Yay they are now open. I've never been here before, so I didn't know what to expect. First thing I noticed was how clean the lobby was. Staff was welcoming, and very nice. We walked right in, and didn't have any problems with our ticketless ticket on my phone. No waiting in line for the concession stand either. They do have a food delivery service, but I'm not sure if they are still delivering food since covid. I would never use this service anyway. It's just easier to get your popcorn, and head for your movie. Pretty fast and easy. (I'm not sure I would like the interruption of food delivery while watching a movie.) Theater is on the smaller size, and are practicing social distancing when buying tickets. I actually like this idea, and wish they would keep it after the threat of covid is over, if it ever is. When choosing your seats the computer "blocks" out seats next to you, on either side, so that no one other than who is in your "party" will be seating next to you. Individual screening rooms are on the small size as well, However, the seats are large comfy lounge seats that lean back with drink holders on the side. When the movie started my grandson covered his ears waiting in anticipation of the promo, at most movie theaters, that promote the very loud sound systems. I don't know why they do that, because it is very loud. I tried to get his hands away from his ears, but he wasn't having it. It wasn't until after all the previews, and not until the movie started, that he took his hands away from his ears. I don't know if it was because of the movie we saw, or if it's because they don't have the speaker system of other movie theaters, but the sound was perfect. Not to loud, that you have to worry about loosing your hearing. All in all a pleasant evening. read more

I thought it's just a New York thing but no all the AMC are doing it now & it's not appropriated by the customers ! Like why would you lower down the AC on every theater & make us feel like we are inside on a sauna! This is just not acceptable , even in California we went to watch movie they were doing the same crap! Movie tickets are already expensive, we took the time to come to a theater to enjoy our time . On top we buy mad expensive popcorn & drinks . And being not comfortable is just not ok at all . I am thinking I will be canceling my prime membership! read more

I love this little hidden theater! The employees are always so welcoming and everyone who goes there is equally as chill and nice. There's plenty of parking, the concession stand lines go by quick and the ticketing people are friendlier than the other theaters. This is my favorite theater! We have a group that gets together for a Sunday matinee and this is our go-to place! I also LOVE that they offer sensory friendly films, no previews, lower sound, and a lighter theater. Look it up on their website for more info. I love the staff, freestyle coke machine, and luxury's reclining seats! The reason this theater doesn't hit 5 stars for me is, 1. They don't have Hot Tamales at their concession stand and 2. This newly renovated theater looks awesome after its facelift, but there are still quite a few things that the AMC West Jordan does wrong. I'll start with the good. The concession stand is sleek, clean and well designed. It's well equipped to handle crowds and the traffic flow is always in motion. They've put in those choose your own Coke machines which is a huge plus. The popcorn is freshly popped and tasty, and there are butter grease machines so you can add your own topping. Buying tickets is a breeze with the addition of a couple of fancy new electronic ticketing machines. These kiosks are equipped to take your AMC Stubs card too, making it unnecessary to wait through a ticket line and deal with a live clerk. Easy to use. Brand new super comfy and spacious recliner seats are awesome. A great way to kick back, relax and watch a movie. The seats are arranged in groups of two -- sort of -- like you share a small armrest with the person next to you but only on one side. Cup holders are only on opposite sides so if you share a drink (like my husband and I often do), you can't put it in the middle. It has to either be on his right side or my left side. Not the best configuration. I'm a movie lover so I'm not a fan of the new reserved seating trend. You have to reserve a seat here and I hate it. Why? Because some theaters are larger than others, making a second row seat perfect in one auditorium but then a neck straining nightmare in another. I also hate being stuck in a seat and then have some screaming kid, texting teen or yappy senior citizen sitting right next to me; there's no freedom to get up and move. The absolute WORST part of this theater is the clientele it attracts. I've been here three times and all three times my viewing experience was HORRIBLE. The audiences across the board are SO RUDE and AWFUL. Texting during the movie, answering their RINGING phones during the movie, talking AT FULL VOLUME, screaming babies, toddlers crawling around on the floor during the film -- I've seen it all in those three visits. This makes me not want to go here in the future, and that's the main reason for the 2 star rating. Management needs to get their act together and start kicking these jerks out without a refund! read more

I'm gonna get straight to the point. The consession stands were over all terrible. Do not go there if you want any food especially if your not from the area. I tried getting just popcorn alone and for no reason what so ever my card wouldn't work and then I gave up and was about to do cash but they wouldn't accept it so they wanted me to buy one of there exclusives atm cards. Never heard of such a thing and thought it was SO STUPID. They were killing my time and missed some of the movie! Other then that was fine like most IMAX theaters just make sure you eat before you go to this theater! read more

My family and I have loved coming to this theater for years. The cost for value is great. Safely I will not be coming back for awhile. The cleanliness of the theater is really bad. No soap in the bathroom dispensers, dirty floors and build up of grime. Window and surfaces look as though they had not been cleaned in months maybe years. This is my absolute favorite movie theater in town! It's SL County's best kept secret! It's so unassuming from the outside and it's easy to judge it as "dumpy" but on the inside, this theater is totally up-to-date and top of the line! I never have a problem getting a ticket, either online or at the theater. ALL of the seats in the theater are luxury leather. They are always showing the hottest new movies and they always have the best price. I have a few theaters close to me, but I go out of my way to this one because it is always the best experience. I really really like this movie theater! What really stands out here are their reclining seats and by reclining I mean it basically turns into your custom bed! Tuesdays they have discounts on tickets for about $5 which a lot of nearby theaters do have but like I said I come here for the comfy seats. My friend also introduced me to their cheddar cheese dip which you can have with their popcorn---so good! It's like a must now. You also must pick your seat when you purchase your ticket--so if you buy it online you can walk in late and have your seat saved. Though I think there is a convenience fee if your not a AMC member. One down fall is the theater as a whole is pretty small, so can feel repetitive after awhile unlike Megaplex which has so much going on. Overall, if you want a relaxing de-stressing movie experience I recommend this place. read more

All I can say is, this theater has it all. The Great, the Good, the Bad and the Awful. First, let's address the Great. The roomy, deliciously comfy electric recliners. The seats are arranged in pairs so if you take someone to snuggle with through a movie, you just need to lift the connecting armrest and you're seated in a reclining loveseat. Yay! Zero compliants about the seating. The Good. The concessions arena is pretty well designed and equipped. Fresh popcorn, lots of choices for movie-munchies with a pretty big menu. Oh, and a 'butter' bar for extra finger licking good popcorn. Also do-it-yourself coke machines, letting you have exactly the drink you want, your way. Nice! The Bad. I highly value cleanliness, I don't need a sterile environment mind you, but I can do without all muck on the floors everywhere. The main hallway is simply coated with popcorn droplets and various other fodder. Don't even get me started on the restrooms. Nasty! Clean up your act please! The Awful. The fact that everyone that doesn't bring their own chair to the theater is in such a relaxed and reclined atmosphere, I can see how it may make some people feel inclined to act as if they were at home in their own theater rooms. The talking, the texting, the flagrant disregard for other people's need to have quiet for their own viewing pleasure. Ugh. Intolerable. Management needs to get on top of these malignancies or I can predict that this theater will sadly fall into oblivion with the $theatres of yesteryear. I have to start by saying this used to be my families favorite theatre. It was old, run down, dirty, played new movies and it was affordable for our family of 8. It has been purchased and remodeled by AMC, in the beginning we were in awe, we attended movies even during the remodel. It has now been an AMC for a while, the prices have increased, which we can deal with, they added comfy seating which we love, but the reason for the two stars is that it is no longer our hidden gem. Everyone and their dog comes here, there is no longer walking in 10 minutes after the movie starts and knowing there will be a seat for you. Sorry AMC, you are now JUST like everyone else in the valley, the magic is gone. read more

Smaller theatre but still big screens (if it's not an older movie) and Def not as crowded as the bigger theatres in south Jordan/West Jordan/sandy etc... parking is so much easier than at those other movie theatres so in the winter this place is so convenient! First time at this theatre. Thought we would use our gift cards from Christmas. Concessions need to step up their game. We ordered popcorn, drinks and pretzels. The popcorn was old and cold. Looks like they hadn't made new popcorn for about an hour. They took forever making the pretzels and they were hard and dry once we got them. I love this theater. They play all the new movies at a smaller price than the Larry H. Miller theaters and others in the area. The seats are pleather and have electric recline and leg rests. They have been remodeling and everything looks amazing. I also, love that I get to choose and refill my own soda and we get to put our own butter (as much or little) on our popcorn ourselves. This movie theater is grrrr-eat! I love coming here becasue its never terribly busy, its clean and the staff is always very friendly. The concessions stand is always very clean and easy to get through. I love that there is a butter machine so I can add my own topping. The seats are very comfortable :) However, I wish their were more movie times. By the time I get of work the only times available are 6:30(which is to early) or 9:20(which is to late). It would be nice to have more of a selection of movie times. read more

I have never been a big AMC fan until today! I can't believe the amazing customer service we received tonight. We came a week ago, but they had a power outage. They said they had been giving out ticket vouchers that night, but we hadn't bought tickets so we politely declined. We went back tonight to try to see the same movie. One of their employees, April, recognized us! She and Doug were very kind and gave us ticket vouchers anyways with free popcorn and drinks! We definitely will be coming back. read more

I saw the higher ticket prices so i expected a high quality experience. Boy was i disappointed. The theater was dirty, piles of popcorn under the seats, everything felt sticky and gross! I'm also shocked that they don't provide some type of bag or tray to share popcorn. Only the small courtesy cups. The theaters i usually go to are only $7 this time of day and always offer some type of tray or bag, oh and they're clean! I really love going to this theater because it's super conveniently located to my house, I have never found it to be super busy and I love their recliners and drink options. I see a lot of people saying that the crowd coming here can be obnoxious and can ruin the movie experience but I have never found that to be the case (maybe I'm just lucky?). The theater is basically all teenage employees, but don't let that deter you because what theater doesn't have all teenage employees, and the employees here had always been respectful and efficient. I'd also like to note that this theater is the cheapest option even with the luxury seating than basically any other theater in the area. If you are a big movie person like I am, then invest 15 bucks in the stubs reward card where you can collect points for every ticket or concession purchase and get rewards like money off of ticket purchases, free size upgrades on drinks or popcorn, and other great perks. read more

I don't think we'll be back. The first experience with this theater was great. After you get over the initial awesomeness of the seats, the magic quickly fades. The staff here is terrible. There are a ton of teenagers that seem to be at work only to stand around and talk to each other. They are rude and not at all helpful. The theater was a little busier than the first time we came and it was significantly more dirty. However, if Yelp had half stars, I would have added a little love for the lack of obnoxious iPhone usage during the show. Well done West Jordan moviegoers! read more
