Went back to this theater after a good 10 plus years, and I have to say I was impressed they have now all-the- way reclinable seats, looks like it was a full-on remodel, and I love it. The mall definitely had better times, many stores closing but the theater seems to be top notch. I got the tickets through the digital kiosks, I really enjoyed the movie, we watched the Michael biopic, other than the seats, thumbs up to the sound quality, place was clean, saw plenty of security around. Great theater and hardly ever tough to reserve a seat. I like to reserve ahead through the app. The seats are comfortable and work well. The temperature is comfortable also for a movie theater. I didn't even need to wear my hoodie. We recently went to a matinee and the line for concessions was crazy long and moving slow. About 30 minutes after the movie started there was no line at all. Definitely order snacks ahead through the app if you're in a hurry. I decreased to three stars because of poor bar service. Both times I went for a drink, the bartender was sitting in the lobby area watching TV and not at the bar. He was not very friendly and seemed annoyed I wanted a drink. read more

This theater must've been renovated because it is very nice. The seating is great with the reclining and spacious seats. The mall its in is a dead mall/ and a dump - yet the theater is better then Disney Springs AMC, explain that one. Don't judge a book by its cover. read more

Don't be fooled by the outside appearance of the mall. The theater inside is actually really nice. The seats are roomy and they recline. Every time I've seen a movie here, there's only been a few other people in the theater, so it almost feels like you have the whole place to yourself. If you get a drink, they give you a cup and you can choose from several different options. It's one of those big machines with coke, Diet Coke, Coke Zero, Fanta, hi-c, lemonade, etc. This is currently my movie theater of choice! read more

I haven't been here in YEARS. It had become dirty, noisy, sticky floored, uncomfortable mess in a dying mall. Now mall is remaking itself and theater is along for the ride. Comfortable seating. Nice variety of snacks. Full bar. First run theatrical releases. Gonna see Naked Gun and Superman (make it a double feature). Very nice job bringing this back. For being in an old, kind of rundown mall, this is actually one of the nicer theaters in the area. I used to love going to the theater at Hamlin in Winter Garden because it had such a great ambience, but unfortunately it's gone downhill pretty quickly. By comparison, this location feels underrated. The bar is nice, the seating is comfortable, the amenities are clean, and the food and concessions are solid. It's a pleasant surprise and an easy choice if you're more interested in the actual movie-going experience than flashy surroundings. read more

I am amazed that, Jasmine, the "manager", was willing to turn away $100 in sales because I had a bag with my leftovers from a nearby restaurant with me. I had already spent $62 in tickets and was about to spend at least $40 at the concession stand. She very rudely gave me a refund for my tickets. She was only able to give me a gift card minus my service fee for my order that was charged to my debit card. Angelina, a different employee offered to put a sticker on my food and put it at the box office so I could pick it up after the movie, but Jasmine refused the idea. I asked for a higher manager and was told she was the only one working on a Saturday night at 645. She said since the theater is so slow, they only ever have one manager working during their busiest time. What?!?!? I worked for AMC for 7 years and became a Managing Director of my own theater and can't fathom that a company that values customer service as much as AMC does, would allow a $100 to walk out the door for a small bag of leftovers. I'm able to pay less money and go to West Orange Cinema, right down the street, and pay a lot less money, but I love going to AMC. Jasmine is now making it so I spend my money at the smaller, older theater. At least West Orange Cinema values customer service more than Jasmine at West Oaks AMC. Very disappointed in the lack of business acumen at this theater. Do better Jasmine! read more

Overall pretty please with this theater! Went with a toddler for a late matinee showing. Clean, lines weren't terrible, cliental was families and high schoolers. Inside the seats were the adjustable recliners. Some wear on my seat but overall decent. I like how the prices were reasonable for 2 adults and a child. Will be back. read more

Go to spot for watching movies in my area. Decent movie theater that offers discounts for early showings. They also have nice recliners to enjoy the movie at whatever position you're comfortable with. The snack line do tend to get pretty long and it slow depending on the staffing. They do have an online mobile order lane for pick up, but there is a concievence fee just as well as purchasing tickets on their mobile app. Popcorn and drinks are pretty good and not stale or flat! read more

What an amazing experience, thank you Steve! I usually go to the AMC in Altamonte Springs but today that changed. I accidentally got tickets for Deadpool and Wolverine in 3D which gives me headaches and I asked the manager if there was any way we could change them. He was able to switch it for a regular viewing at the same time! I didn't think it was possible, it's opening night and mostly sold out. I'm so thankful that Steve was so accommodating. This theater is easy to get to and parking is convenient. However, the last couple of times I have seen a movie here, the AC isn't on in theater 2 until the trailers start. I spoke with guest services and they were helpful. Issue was resolved once the trailers start. read more

Today we went to see Sonic for my son's birthday party. I had been working with Ramon to set everything up, and when we arrived I was asked to wait for the manager. Alan came up and quickly ushered me over to the other side of the box office to get the ball rolling. He had arranged for us to have theater 7 to ourselves, and was able to work with us to push back the start time of the movie to 1:15, and started it without the previews - a HUGE HELP when you have 25 kids! The snack section hurried out 25 kids packs for us. At no point did we feel rushed. The kids were all able to pick out their own drinks, and we had several employees helping to make sure we were good to go. From start to finish, the process was easy and relaxed. The entire staff today was helpful and kind. Thank you AMC for helping make today a great day! read more

People can say what they want, but this theater is a hidden gem. Tucked away in a barely breathing husk of a mall, this theatre is situated within the food court & parking is always practically VIP with how empty the lot usually is. All the seats are recliners (& comfy ones at that), and the picture & sound are as expected. I usually get my tickets online, and you select your seats within the auditorium. Took my granddaughters to see the movie Sing 2 and we all loved it. They want to see it again. The theater was clean & comfortable with the reclining seats which the girls really like. We also had popcorn & drinks from the Concession stand. The servers there were friendly and did a great job. First time going to this movie theatre and it was very good. So first let me share that I am a rewards member snob, hey I admit it, and so the first thing that I was impressed with is that the A+ premier line is clearly distinguished and the staff was able to manage both the premier line and the regular line quickly and fairly. Staff was friendly; not overly but by no means anything that I would complain about. The theater itself has comfortable with reclining chairs with cupholders. I must say it was very clean. This theater is significantly cheaper than some of the surrounding more newer theaters. But honestly I'm not sure why I have not attended movies here in the past. Granted I went on a Thursday night. But for a 9pm showing I feel that the concession and the bar should stay open later. I arrived about 8:45pm and the bar was closing. Went to get food and they stated they aren't serving any hot food anymore. Once the previews started some of the rest of my party were still coming in and couldn't get anything from the concession. I had on Bermuda shorts and the entire time it felt like something was crawling on me and I kept smacking my legs. The seats reclined so that was nice. It wasn't busy and it was convenient in location. I did like that my group was able to hang out outside without being hassled while we talked about the movie and just enjoyed a little more time together. read more

Overall a good theater. We were given a Fandango Gift Card and wanted to use it, this was the closest theater from our home that accepted Fandango payment. We walked in, and for a brief moment we thought you just keep on walking as we looked around to show our tickets to someone but no one was there, (as I said, brief moment) then a greeter came to scan our tickets and we were on our way. We proceeded to our auditorium, luckily our seats were clean but one next to ours was visibly greasy. The seats were comfortable, my only complaint is they didn't lean back until the leg rest was fully extended making it feel like you were in bed at that point. My family has found our new movie spot! Especially since we have joined AMC's movie goer subscription. It's the first time for me to watch movie here, apart from talking about the price as I had free ticket and food, it located in West Oaks Mall that's mostly empty, so it's plenty of parking space. They are trying to keep the theater running nicely, basically provide same kind of foods across AMC. I were there around 1or 2pm, the bar service wasn't that good, the lady gave me a black face and took her so long to take my order as there's no one in front of me. Food quality was standard, that's a plus. The floor in the theater was pretty sticky, I didn't try the bathroom, so no comment for that. The only thing I like about this place was the size of the theater, they were spacious! According to my movie time, there's no one but myself watching the movie and I LOVE their Reclining Power Seat, it's so comfit and relatively clean. I hope they can improve the bar service and clean the place more regularly, as it's close to my home, would love to visit more often. read more

Today, 27 May, 2022 my phone was stolen at the front ticket counter between 1:30 and 1:45 pm! Yes I sat it down to sign the refund receipt and another person walked up talking all loud to the worker, probably to distract me because my the time I walked back to the ticket counter the phone was gone and the lady working the counter stated nobody turned in a phone....I keep my phone locked and I had it disabled so its like them having an extra tennis ball now but it was a huge hassle to get a new phone. read more

If you are looking for great Guest service, you are definitely not going to find it here. The employees were not rude or mean, they just didn't seem like they wanted to be there. This was especially evident at the concession stand. It seemed like most of them had just woke up from a nap. I ordered a chili dog and it was not that great and not worth the price at all. The theater was nice and clean and the seating was comfortable. Just like most theaters these days, I ordered my tickets online and reserved my seats ahead of time. I don't know if it was just me, but I had a hard time finding my seat number once I was in my row. Overall, I did what I was there to do. I was unable to get any snacks because the line literally did not move for over 5 minutes. My go to movie theatre! It's not the newest or fanciest, but it's a great spot. Tickets are cheap compared to other theaters and all of the theaters have assigned seats and reclining leather chairs. I'm spoiled from these seats! The concessions have plenty of options, it's pricey just like all theatre food, but with tickets being a good value, it's less offensive. There is also a bar in the theatre. It's locating in a struggling mall just outside the food court. Truth be told, this is not the newest, flashiest movie theater in the Orlando area. That being said, AMC West Oaks still has that old school movie-theater-in-the-mall type of feel to it, and the prices really aren't bad considering it is still a 14 theater AMC. Parking is usually very ample considering it is located in the West Oaks mall, although keep in mind that on a Friday or Saturday night it will be tough to find a spot close to the theater entrance. The theaters themselves have fairly large and comfortable seats, with adjustable hand rests meaning that ultimately if the theater isn't full, you can push up all of the nearby hand rests and have a movie theater couch setup. Additionally, the line out in front of the theater usually doesn't get horrendous, possibly thanks in part to the two credit card kiosks available for use at either side of the theater entrance. And if you are flexible with the time you see a movie, definitely take advantage of the cheaper matinee pricing (usually for movies that start before about 2-3pm), which saves you about $2-3 per adult ticket. Also when it comes to saving money, make sure you pay attention to the deals going on at the concession stand, and keep in mind that large popcorns and large drinks always get free refills at this theater. All in all, AMC West Oaks isn't my number one pick when it comes to Orlando theaters; however, if you're looking for someplace clean, comfortable, close by and less crowded, it is really a great option. read more

The AMC in Ocoee is part of the West Oaks Mall. There is nothing wrong with the theatre itself. The mall is dead. The food court, which is located in the same area as the entrance to the movie is half empty. Since the mall opened there has been problems with too many teenagers hanging out and causing trouble. But again - it's not the theater's fault. All the employees were very pleasant. The place was clean. The lobby smelled like burnt popcorn and we almost didn't get any but we did order and it was fine. The theater is conveniently located for us and it serves its purpose - we saw a good movie at perfectly fine theater. If that's all your looking for than that is what you will get Just don't pick this one for your big "Date Night" or you'll get an early night - just a movie and nothing else. read more

It's been about a since I've been to this amc location as this mall has gone down hill. The last time I went was because a friend lived nearby. We were looking to see "The Hate U Give" and this is one of the few theaters that were still playing it. The theater had a lot of updates since I have been. They had lines to buy tickets separated by cash & card which made the lines move a lot faster. However the lines for concessions were very long so I had my boyfriend wait in line.lol But they do have the fountain sodas where you fill them yourselves which is nice because you get unlimited refills I assume. Apparently they did do upgrades & renovations to this theater because they had recliners & they are more comfortable & nicer than my usual movie spot 5 mins from my house. To top it off AMC now has a $21.00 movie pass type thing my boyfriend wants to look into because we have a moviepass but the movies we want to see are never playing but with AMCs apparently you can use it on any movie at anytime. So we will look into it & see if it's more beneficial. read more

I really love the upgrade that they've done with this AMC theatre. The older one wasn't recliner not assigned seating but, the plus to that movies were cheaper $4.00- $7.00 so i wasn't complaining. When i had kids to babysit this was our go to theater to watch movies. With the upgrade the prices increased but i Love the recliners & assigned seats. This movie theater desperately needed assigned seats I've been to 2 diff movies where they ran out of seats & they were still selling tickets so now it is ALLOT more organized. They also now have a full top self bar & the prices for food & drinks are standard movie food prices. The new prices range from about $9-$11 still lower prices than most theaters. It's close to my home so I'm happy for the upgrade! read more

I visited this AMC location a couple of times over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. We saw Creed II and the Grinch. The ticket prices are a bargain at less than $5 (first matinee), theaters weren't that crowded and the location was clean. The popcorn was pretty good too and the stadium seating auditoriums were huge. In fact, I liked this AMC location over the ones I frequent back home. Overall, I found my experience here stellar. No complaints and I'd gladly return. read more
