I think this cinema should come with a warning: HEARING DAMAGE EXPECTED. The seats were comfortable, but I still suggest bringing a pillow and a blanket because sitting there for three hours straight can get pretty rough. Honestly, this was one of the LOUDEST cinemas I've ever been to in my life. If you're sensitive to loud sound, I strongly suggest bringing earplugs, noise-canceling headphones, or serious hearing protection. The theater itself, however, is very well maintained, and the screen is absolutely enormous. It's one of the largest screens I've ever seen, and it's seriously impressive. In fact, it's so large that if you sit too close, the image in front of you can float just OUTSIDE of your peripheral vision. My suggestion? Sit in the back third of the theater. Unless you enjoy feeling like you're physically inside the movie, sitting too close may make the sheer size and movement of the images overwhelming, and possibly even nauseating. There is a limit to what the human body can take. During The Odyssey, one of the newest technology IMAX movies to hit the market in some time..., the combination of flashing black-and-white lights, constant pulsating imagery, and extremely heavy, heartbeat-style music had me feeling genuinely tense. At one point I was thinking, "Do I need to see a cardiologist after this?" The volume was so incredibly loud that I felt like I was sitting next to a rocket launch. The vibrations coming through the seats were actually pretty cool, and I enjoyed that part. But the combination of the constant pounding heartbeat soundtrack, flashing imagery, seat vibrations, and extreme volume was a LOT for my stress level. Now, having said ALL of that... The Odyssey itself was fantastic. I genuinely had no idea what was going to happen next, and that's rare. It felt like a combination of science fiction, Jurassic Park, and a massive historical period piece, and it was extremely well done. Hollywood deserves serious applause for creating something this ambitious. The movie kept me guessing, and visually, it was spectacular. My only hesitation is the theater experience itself. The filmmakers clearly knew exactly how to keep an audience on the edge of their seats. Unfortunately, between the pounding soundtrack, flashing imagery, seat vibrations, and what felt like rocket-launch-level volume, I spent a good portion of the movie wondering whether my ears and nervous system were going to survive the experience. So yes, I loved the movie. The theater? Impressive. The screen? Incredible. The sound system? ABSOLUTELY INSANE. One final warning: If you don't want to leave this theater with permanent hearing loss, bring serious ear protection. I'm talking earplugs AND over-the-ear hearing protection, or "cans," over the earplugs if you really care about protecting your hearing. Seriously. Protect your ears. Our flight home was delayed for 12 hrs! We decided to catch a movie at a theater taking us towards the Orlando airport. We easily looked up available movies and times, reserving our tickets. Check in was quick and the employee checking our tickets was very friendly. Theater was small but clean with reclining seats and massive sound. IMAX and 3D screens are available for some shows. Bathrooms were tidy. Parking is available at the Pointe garage and you can reach the theater at level 3. read more

I drive about 30 minutes to go to this regal movie theater. The STAFF all the young people that work there are super friendly. The manager that runs this theater is always super awesome nice guy.There is another manager very tall he is also sweet and very nice actually all the male managers are very nice. I love the variety of movies every single day. Once in a while I order a hot dog with cheese sauce and a large frozen peach Icee or a large Lemonade Icee yum yum. You can also park in the garage but you must set up a account then going into the movie you can scan for parking and not have to pay its absolutely awesome. I came here to watch the Thunderbolts* and was surprised that the tickets were a bit more expensive than the other cinemas. It's located on the second level of Pointe Orlando, an outdoor shopping/entertainment area. I'm not a local so I won't give the best informed experience, but this seemed like a standard movie theatre with outdated halls, but a cool glowy sky ceiling. If you're viewing near closing time, they lock the doors early, and no one's paying attention if you need to get in. We walked out near midnight and there was almost no one in the center anymore, aside from that random cowboy club. Remember to validate your garage parking ticket at the back wall before you leave for free parking - literally look at their back wall for an arrow pointing down to the validation machine. read more

Regal Pointe Orlando is my go to movie theater for any fun filled and action packed movies. I have come to love seeing those movies in 4DX 3D. Hold on! Make sure you brace yourself! There should really be seatbelts on those chairs. The seats are arranged in sets of four. Not like the D-Box which is an individual chair. The seat movements and vibrations are synced in time with the movie and mimics what you are seeing on the screen. The 4DX offers a realistic experience like wind, water, and fog that is also in tuned with the movie. While the tickets are more expensive than standard format, the experience makes up for the higher cost. read more

I recently signed up for Regal Unlimited. I like the Pointe Orlando theater for the variety of movies and different formats beyond 3D. This theater now offers free parking by scanning a self service QR code on the wall. I knew they had IMAX and obviously 3D but I did not know about 4DX, Screen X, RPX and 4DX Real D 3D. The best thing is standard movies are included in the monthly charge and the premium formats are 7.50 per showing for Regal Unlimited members. There was a large number of movies coming out this spring and summer I wanted to see. Regal Unlimited asks you to put in the zip code of your preferred location and Orlando is 24.49 a month as of 6/25. Foreign language films and special events are not included. Initial signup is a minimum of 3 months. I used a combo of a Reddit promo code and Regal gift cards from Costco to sweeten the deal. I have to admit the Regal app is not the best but gets the job done. There is a 54 cent booking fee to reserve online but you can buy tickets in person at concessions for free. Unlimited offers discounts on concessions and invitations to special events. The seats in this theater are reclining and have tray tables in some cases. Some of the tables are a little worn but all are clean and functioning. The theater lobbies and bathrooms are well maintained. Regal 4DX is a cinema format that enhances the movie-watching experience by adding interactive effects like motion-activated seats, environmental effects like wind and rain, and even scents, all synchronized with the movie. These effects aim to create a more immersive and visceral viewing experience. Probably not good for people who get motion sickness. IMAX generally offers a more immersive experience due to its larger screens, superior resolution, and custom sound systems. ScreenX, on the other hand, focuses on a wider field of view by extending the screen onto the side walls of the auditorium, providing a 270-degree panoramic viewing experience. The staff at this location are accommodating and will try to find you the best deal on their many concessions choices. This theater has a lot of merch. Right now they are having a fundraiser benefiting the Red Cross and other charities. You donate, spin the wheel and they have large and mini posters and small figures to win. I suggest joining the Reddit Regal Unlimited sub to share info about deals. I have been attending some mystery Monday movies which are included in my membership and you don't learn the title until the movies starts. With unlimited you are permitted to see same movie more than once and in different formats. So this is a nice theater and with free and easy parking. I have gone to see 3 movies on a rainy day and easily exceeded the subscription price in one visit. Also if you haven't been to Pointe Orlando recently they are transforming yet again with lots of new restaurants and attractions including Activate. There is a manager, Steven, there that really does not like to engage and not great with customer interactions. Regal Pointe Orlando is definitely my preferred movie theatre. I typically wait for a movie to be out for a weeks prior to seeing or to avoid the crowds and the theater being too packed. And naturally, I did just that with my viewing of Wicked: Part One. I went with my favorite movie buddy, my mom, and we loved it!! The movie was great. The theater was not packed and outside of a handful of other guests, we pretty much had the theater to ourselves. Also, I was able to purchase a Elphaba Pop! Toy and it was so decently priced ($15.00 for the large one and $10.00 for the mini - I got the large of course). All in all, the facility was clean. Staff were nice. There weren't any lines at the concession stands - which was great. Parking is ample and there are tons of other restaurants and shops in Pointe Orlando to visit if you'd like something to do afterwards. read more

Disappointed in Service & Support I'm incredibly disappointed with my recent experience at Regal Pointe Orlando As a longtime Regal Crown Club member I was excited to finally redeem some of my rewards. Unfortunately, that turned into a frustrating and disappointing ordeal due to poor customer service and lack of training. The cashier seemed unfamiliar with how to process my points and called over the manager, Carlos. Rather than helping or finding a solution, Carlos seemed unprepared and dismissive. First, he claimed my points didn't exist, then changed the story to say they were "showing the points that were going to be loaded." After fumbling through my verified account multiple times, the excuses kept shifting--from being improperly logged in to not verifying my email (which I had already done). At no point did Carlos show any urgency, empathy, or willingness to resolve the issue. He offered no real assistance and left me with no resolution. It felt like my loyalty--and the time and money we've spent choosing this specific location over others--meant nothing. To be honest, the outdated facilities already make this theater a bit of a gamble. When you pair that with poor customer service, it really makes you question why you'd go out of your way to support it. Regal, you can do better. Loyalty should count for something. read more

Regal cinema theaters were running a back to Hogwarts special where they were showing all of the Harry Potter movies. They started this past Sunday and was to conclude tomorrow. We purchased the tickets to see one of the Harry Potter movies and I was so incredibly excited because they were also doing house, themed popcorn, buckets, and sippers as well as the butter beer slushy. You can imagine my disappointment when I arrived to the theater to purchase my concessions and not only were they completely out of the house popcorn buckets, and slippers, but they also had removed the butterbeer slushy already. I was highly disappointed in this experience and almost considered asking for a refund on the tickets and leaving at that point. But we decided to stay for the movie and entered the movie theater around 1205 for a movie that began at noon. We waited until 1220 and the movie never started. At that point, my husband went and got the manager who said that nobody had notified him that the movie hadn't started. They were able to get it fixed, but it literally started in the middle of the wicked preview, which would've been really great to be able to see the whole thing and then when the movie itself actually started there was a ringing that was so loud. It sounded like an alarm that was going off. They came and announced that they were trying to work on the sound to get it fixed and after about another 20 minutes, we got up and left. We stopped by guest services to request a refund on the movie and the manager there processed the refund but no apology at all for the inconvenience. read more

I watched my first 4dx movie at this Regal theater and it was "The Nun 2". Holy. Sh**. I was so afraid! I sat in F6 & F5 in Auditorium 11. I found these centered seats to be a good viewing point for the movie. 4dx is an interactive and immersive movie-watching experience that has moving seats and special effects. You'll get some water mist, wind-blown under your seat, lighting changes, and scents. It felt like I was in the movie. There is a bar and concessions stand. The bar has a modest menu. I do have a Regal Loyalty account which is free to sign up for. You get points on your ticket purchase and free popcorn on your birthday. My birthday was in July and I was still able to use my free small popcorn bday gift for my 9/12 showing! Sweeeet. You can upgrade and pay the difference. I booked my tickets through Fandango with my Regal loyalty account linked. If you want to avoid Fandango's convenience fees then purchase at the theater directly. You can validate your parking in this theater under their scanner. I'll definitely come back and watch another 4dx movie! read more

A really great theater that appears to be a terrible theater. Pointe Orlando is NOT a great shopping destination. Many stores are closed, the area appears like a ghost town and then charge to park... BUT...this theater is pretty good. I love the IMAX and 4DX theaters, the popcorn is always good, and there are fully reclining seats. We went to our first 4dx movie. It was pretty cool. First of all, we loved the overall location of the theater. Secondly, great customer service, and finally we got to experience a movie in a different way... no getting sleepy! Chairs were moving and shaking, air flowing, and water splashing. If you don't enjoy stimulation, this isn't for you. Eat before the movie begins. We saw tons of popcorn on the floor. Be prepared to spend a little more $$$, but the experience is worth the price. Mind Blowing experience. I loved every moment. Talk about real water works. I went to see Dumbledore Fantastic Beasts with a friend. She, myself, and the rest of the people there were screeching in happiness because it felt like we were on a ride and technically we were. We felt all the wizard zappings because air was shooting out of our seats. We all experienced snow, full seat motion as if we were flying. We even felt droplets of rain! The only thing I didn't like was that I bought a beer and it had no lid. Listen... as someone who worked as a shift supervisor in high school and college at a movie theater, I feel like I have a good handle on how a theater should be run and boy... this was a weak experience. I had a few hours to kill before I had to head to the airport for my flight, so I decided to come here as it was the closest theater to my hotel. Thinking I was in the clear after buying my ticket well in advance, I showed up to discover that *nothing* was showing in the assigned auditorium well after when the trailers were supposed to have begun. Now, I would have asked to speak to a manager, but seeing as I had just waited in line for close to 15 mins just to buy a bottle of water because it took a manager and two supervisors to issue a refund for tickets purchased for the wrong showtime, I had little faith in even asking. I came across a man in a graphic t-shirt, however, that gave off a projectionist vibe. So I told him and he said he'd take care of it; had to wait a few minutes longer and sit through previews (would have been nice to skip to be honest), but at least someone took over it. Pretty surprised the theater was pretty empty on a weekday especially since I took the kids to see Black Widow a few days after it was released. We were staying very close to the movie theater & decided to go see Guardians of the Galaxy 3 - (good movie) the parking was easy on a Tuesday night, easy to buy a ticket & pick your seats at the walkup kiosk. Staff was close by to give directions. Parking was free when you bring your parking ticket & get it validated on the wall scanners inside the theater. Movie seats where recliners & very comfortable, but they need to be recovered w/ new material as it seems the pleather has worn off. The movie theater had literally 1 hour of commercials & movie previews, too long. The sad part is that the big outdoor shopping & entertainment center that the movie theater is in, has 50% of the stores out of business. Hopefully they can restructure the high rents & revitalize the business base in this nice area. read more
