    Salad bar

I've been hearing that their lunch buffet is back. We gave it a try and it was delicious. Best salad bar in town and you can go back as many times as you want. There were dairy free vegan options for me. I didn't feel deprived. The minestrone soup & endless variety at the salad bar made it the perfect lunch. Friendly service & I love supporting a Camarillo classic. Give them a try :)

What an amazing dinner this evening at Octavio's in Camarillo. The place was very busy and the hostess welcomed me and sat me at a nice cozy booth. Jerry was my server and was assisted by two other team members. Fantastic service. I ordered the chicken parm and a side of one meatball and one sausage with an iced tea. The fresh bread was excellent as was the meal. The chicken parm was cooked perfectly and so juicy. Probably the best chicken parm I have tasted in years. Everything was perfect and Jerry and his team were kind, professional and efficient. Fantastico! Mille Grazie! Highly recommended

Hidden Gem Deli Vibes! This review is just for the Deli side of this amazing, comforting spot--a place you walk into and immediately know you'll be back for a full dinner someday! The deli is open Tues-Sat, 10:30-2:30, and it's worth making time for. Grab a sandwich, pizza, or their clam chowder on Fridays (so good). Don't skip the Italian market section--I always snag Lupini beans there (iykyk). It honestly feels like stumbling upon a little slice of Italy in a hidden corner. Very nice employees who care about what you are ordering. There's outdoor seating out back to enjoy your food, and you can even peek into the restaurant's lobby to tempt yourself for a future visit. Plenty of parking, great vibes, and zero regrets. Mangia!

Had a great experience at Ottavios last night! Our waitress was great! She was sweet and quick! I was with two friends and we decided to share a couple meals. The pizza was amazing! Tons of cheese and toppings. The chicken parmigiana was so tasty and a huge meal! My favorite was the bruschetta! So flavorful and fresh! The only complaint i have is the cocktails were so strong, it only tasted like alcohol not any other flavor!

*Deli ONLY OPEN 10:30am to 2:30pm* The turkey focaccia sandwich is delicious .No skimping here! It is a real sandwich!   Everyone was so sweet and welcoming Located inside family owned restaurant Ottavio's.   Wanted to create a separate page as the are open different hours but since same address couldn't . Added this review .. I have not tried the restaurant, only the deli and absolutely am I a fan! I love good sandwiches. They cut the delis per order , fresh veggies, great toppings and the bread is baked in house! I am currently obsessed! Such a cute deli ! Special note ... meats and other sandwich ingredients are imported from Italy. Come support !

Ask the Community - Ottavio's Italian Restaurant

Hello, my wife is a vegetarian and curious on your new lunch buffet if you have pizza without meat like cheese pizza and the two pasta dishes does either one not have meat and your salad bar does it have spinach type lettuce?

The fettuccine Alfredo, baked ziiti, spaghetti marinara may satisfy the vegetarian menu. The bread and salad also fit your scenario. I am not sure if they have spinach yet they do have a mixed green salad. They may also take a special request due to… Read more

    Do they take Reservations?

    Yes, they prefer it!

Planning a Birthday luncheon at Ottaveos in July. I was wondering if their air works well? Has anyone had a large party on a hot day in the middle of summer?

hahaha great question! I go to Ottavio's so often and their air works GREAT! You can request to the manager to set the air on high ,they are very accommodating (they do have a private party room for larger parties). Hope that helps!

Quite little place decorated in a 50s theme with a nice sound system playing oldies. There is a small aquarium with cute fish! See photo. I watched them while I waited for my to go order. When I first entered I noticed a table that looked full of uneaten food but no one sitting there. It was a bit bizarre and I think it might be to show you some of the food on offer. See photo. I ordered the Italian beef wet sandwich with peppers. It was made fresh and was tasty. Recommend if you are in the area. Good place to stop if you are hiking and one of the open spaces.

When I opened the door to what I thought was the restaurant, I wasn't sure until I looked around inside. Now that I found the place, on to the food! Combo Sandwich Best of both worlds, Italian sausage topped with Italian beef. I added hot peppers to mine and this was one amazing sandwich! The flavor from the sausage and the beef combined, and individually, was awesome. I loved every bite of it and can't say enough about the flavors. The bread was hearty enough to hold it all, yet still soft and chewy. I really liked that. Chili Cheese Fries When these arrived at my table, they weren't presented how I was expecting them. I'm used to chili cheese fries served with the chili and cheese on top of the fries. No utensils were served with these, so I ate them as I thought they were intended...as a dipping dish... The fries.. well, I wouldn't go out of my way to get them.. They were served somewhat lukewarm, borderline cold. Shoestring fries that were very limp and not crisp. Now, to the best part of this item. The chili. The chili tasted outstanding! I really loved the flavor and it had a nice meaty consistency. The cheese sauce was unique and was really good as well. This wasn't your typical nacho cheese sauce. It had a different, slightly elevated, flavor profile that I couldn't place. Overall, some really good food here sans the fries. Great beef, sausage and chili. I would definitely come back for some more of the deliciousness!

Now it's become one of our family's favorites. From the moment you walk in, it feels cozy and welcoming, and I especially appreciate that there are ZERO TV screens and if there is music its not cranked up so loud you have to shout to talk. It creates a space where you can actually connect with the people you're dining with instead of being distracted. I work in marketing and once started a blog dedicated to restaurants that prioritized connection over constant noise and screens -- and let me tell you, they were hard to find. Mother's Day Was Ruined. And I Need the Owner to Know…read more Let me tell you something. I've worked in five-diamond restaurants. I've worked Applebee's got the pin to prove it. Fried chicken spots. Everything in between. So when I tell you what happened here, know that I'm not some customer who doesn't understand how restaurants work. I know exactly how they work. My best friend lives in Camarillo and honey, he has been raving about this place for months. Every time someone comes to visit, he brings them here. He made our Mother's Day reservations well in advance. Our party of six. This man has easily dropped thousands of dollars in this restaurant. He loves this place. Loved. We arrived early. Server was ok. Seated us at 11, full house, two-hour window we understood the assignment. I ordered the chicken and waffles. Everything came out hot and fast. We're laughing, talking, having the best time and then I look down at my plate. There is a bug. Crawling. Through my eggs. My son grabbed his phone and got the picture. My husband God bless him, shot up to find a manager because that's what you do. That's what any reasonable person does. He found her. Her name is Cheryl. And Cheryl said... "You should've taken it up with the server." Strike one. Then she walks over to our table with an attitude and before I can even hand her my plate, she looks at me and says, "How do you want your eggs?" Like I'm supposed to take the same food back. The food with the bug in it. I was stunned. Not just by the question by the energy. It was off putting. She was annoyed. Like somehow WE were the problem. My kids were horrified. My best friend, the man who loves this restaurant was completely embarrassed. I asked to look at the menu. I wanted something different. Reasonable, right? We waited. The server came back, completely in the dark, said something like "I guess something was wrong with your food?" Sweet kid. Felt terrible when we filled him in. I said I'd just take a burger. He said of course they'd remove the chicken and waffles. THEN he came back. "We're going to have to charge you for the burger." WTH, I thought he had lost his entire mind. He disappeared again, came back, apologized I believe he genuinely felt bad. This has happened before when I have been a server and a manager is more than happy to offer you another dish and take off the other one. But Cheryl? The manager? Never came back. NOT once. Instead, she made her rounds to every single table AROUND us. Laughing. Greeting people. Interacting with guests. For 15 to 20 minutes, we sat there and watched her deliberately avoid our table. And that's when it hit me the thing I didn't want to think. I looked around. Really looked around. And we were the only ones. WELL, I was the only one who was African American woman. Me and my kids. My bestie and my hubby are of European descent. I don't SAY that lightly. Honestly? It makes me sick to even say it. But I couldn't find another explanation. Neither could my friend, who sat straight up in his chair and saw it too up close and personal. He was angry. I had to calm everyone down and say this wasn't worth it. I canceled the burger. We left. It was the worst Mother's Day I have ever had in my life. I have never been treated like this before. It's 2026. People have diverse families. What happened?! To the owner -- I'm hoping you're not her, and I'm hoping you read this. Your friend lost a loyal customer who brought everyone he knew through your doors. You lost our table, our money, and our trust the moment Cheryl decided we didn't matter. The moment she decided that she couldn't be bothered. I travel all around the world speaking, training and I have never been treated to poorly. I called hoping to speak to the OWNER. Cheryl called me back. Are you for real? She HAD a chance to make it right. But clearly she didn't care. She had every opportunity to make it right. She chose not to.
