This spot is in Amelia, VA and there's not many eateries in this small town, so for this area, comparatively speaking, it's 4 stars! So what's good? The ribeye steak we have was tender, juicy and cooked medium to perfection. We paired the steak with the sweet potato and asparagus with complemented the main course! The rolls were unique little "s" shaped dough, maybe pizza dough, which would have been a tad better served with olive oil and garlic spices. My friends had the crab cake sandwich which they loved, and our other table mates had the meat lovers pizza (which they said could have used more sauce). The service was great, Haley was on her A game and was very efficient. The prices are pretty good an it's typically packed here since it one of the best and few restaurants around. What can really be improved is the atmosphere... it's super plain and void of personality. Some better lighting and decor would take this spot up a notch. The tables and chairs are rather nondescript. But all and all, we had a lovely time and would come again!! read more

Service was good - waitress was extremely attentive and apologetic when food did not arrive consistently. Had the madeira chicken and the loaded baked potato with sautéed broccoli. Chicken was excellent: juicy and flavorful and the mushroom sauce was prepared well. Sautéed broccoli could have used a bit more seasoning but it was acceptable. I could not review the baked potato because it arrived about 20 minutes after the main dish...... The most disappointing part about this experience was the timing of the kitchen. The main course took about 20 minutes longer than necessary and the side came out about 20 minutes thereafter. Toward the end of our meal, the dining room started to get a bit busier and I wondered if the kitchen would be able to keep up... Obviously the AC had stopped working because the front of house had those inefficient interior portable AC units with the hose that pipes waste heat outside. It was not quite as effective as it should be because the inside was sweltering. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again. read more

Tried the new spot in town tonight -- packed house and for good reason! We shared the Madeira chicken (tender, rich sauce, think Chicken Marsala's Portuguese cousin, but deeper, nuttier, and honestly one of the best versions I've had, herb-crusted salmon (crispy crust, perfectly flaky), and ribeye (juicy, well-seasoned, cooked just right). I got the Seafood Platter, which consisted of Flounder or Atlantic salmon ( when calling you may need to tell them which one you want because they didn't give me an option), Shrimp, scallops, crab cake, and a choice of 2 sides. The food was okay, it wasn't horrible but wasn't anything to drool over unfortunately. The shrimp and scallops were really good! Everything else was okay. We did not dine-in we did a pick up and the young lady who took our order said about 20 minutes. When we picked up the food it was nice and hot. I got a load baked potato and wild rice as a side. The baked potato was good ( can't really go wrong with that), the Wild Rice was not my favorite. My fiancé ordered food also and they forgot one of his sides but after going in and notifying them, they quickly addressed and fixed the issue. The restaurant appeared to be very kept and nice. It was a bit crowded in the parking lot, but it was during a busy time. I would recommend trying it! read more

We enjoyed lunch at this spot on 360. Food was yummy! Grilled chicken strawberry salad was fresh and satisfying. The prime rib sandwich was equally tasty. Delicious fries! Prompt friendly service as well. One issue... the music ‍ detracted from the experience. Black Sabbath, Alice in Chans and Stone Temple Pilots doesn't make for a relaxing atmosphere. This is easily changed so no demerits but please pick better music. read more

We stopped here for a late dinner while passing through the area. It was our first time here so we didn't know what to expect. We were greeted by almost every employee in the dining area right away so it is definitely a welcoming environment. Our waitress, Gabbi, was very down to earth, friendly, and honest when it came to menu recommendations. We ordered ribs, fried chicken w/ gravy, grilled cheese, cheeseburger, and corn dog nuggets for the main entrees. For sides we had corn, Mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, and fries. I can honestly say every single thing we had was delicious. The environment was cozy, there was a good music selection playing, and the owner(I believe) came over to ask us how everything was going. We weren't planning on getting dessert but they had such a wide variety that we ended up getting 5 different cheesecake slices. Gabbi went out of her way to do special designs on each plate for the kids with chocolate drizzle, which definitely meant a lot to us. The price for everything was extremely reasonable. I highly recommend Amelia's Kitchen to anyone local, passing through, or visiting from another state. You won't be disappointed! read more

Amelia's kitchen is the new restaurant in town. We have tried this place a couple of times. Being the newest restaurant, the wait times for service and getting your food was too long however, it seems that they have worked out all those challenges. We received our drinks, appetizer, and entrees in a very decent time. Both of our entrees were delicious! I wasn't the biggest fan of the fried calamari we had for our appetizer. The taste was fine but breading would fall off easily. Overall, this is definitely a place to check out! read more

This was our second time today going to the Amelia Kitchen. The first time we did not have a very good review for it. We went with another couple and I've got to say the wait staff, except for Sal, was not very good at all. We had like five different people bringing us different things because our real waiter we hardly ever saw. I had the prime rib sandwich and I've never had one without au jus. It was chop so small I wouldn't know what kind of meat it was really. I won't say it was horrible I won't say it was good I hate half of it and I'm going to throw out the rest. No one was impressed with their meals so I think this is the last time we will be there I'd rather drive a little farther and go to a good restaurant where I get good service and have good food. It's hard to tip when you don't see your waiter the whole time who do you split it with. read more

My husband & I throughly enjoyed his birthday dinner at Amelia's Kitchen. We were warmly greeted with a smile & seated right away. Our waitress Destiny made excellent recommendations. She was very knowledable about the menu. We started with the seafood stuffed mushrooms. They were tasty but a little overpriced for 3 small mushrooms. The pace of the dinner was perfect. I had the house salad with raspberry vin. dressing & eggplant parm. Very generous portion! My husband had a perfectly cooked ribeye with steak fries and a creamy seafood bisque. The steak sub special was not as good as its predecessor "Mario's Pizza"; also, the deluxe pizza has a great crust, but the taste and smell were below Mario's standards. Good atmosphere and a good place to eat, just that it took over for Mario's and it just is not as good. read more

Have been there a couple times now and tried so much of the menu. Everything we have had was delicious. Highly recommend the steak tacos and the manicotti! The highlight for us was the great service. We ask to be sat in Sal's section now because we know he will take good care of us just like he did that first time we met him when we came in opening weekend. Excellent! They were slammed, told us it would be an hour and 20 min wait but they called our party only 35 minutes later. The service was excellent, our waitress was Hannah and she was excellent. The food was fantastic and the prices are so reasonable for what you get. So happy we have this option locally, I plan to go often. read more

JUST STAY AWAY FROM THIS HORROR..Don't even think about it. The food is cooked in the same 100 day old grease all together. We ordered the seafood.platter. scallops like glue, shrimp like burnt idk what,fish with skin no taste, crabcake was fake and.disgusting,asparagus was so boiled to death I couldn't even get it onto my fork. The baked potato was fine. We.orderwd the appetizer blooming onion... we sent it back and should.have gotten up and.left. I wrote on my none eaten plate "YUK" in asparagus and sent.it.to the manager who never came out to speak with us. Had been wanting to try this restaurant fpr a while. Every time I drive by in the evenings it is packed. Tonight, I decided to grab some take out. I had the Fettuccine Alfredo. It was pretty good. As I had seen before, the place was very busy. I sat at the bar and watched the staff go about their work. They certainly looked to have plenty of staff on hand to handle the work load and all seemed to be working hard to get their tables taken care of. I saw pleasant interactions with customers and a couple of times staff stopped and made sure I was taken care of. It did not take long for my order to be ready and I remember the guy who handed it to me asked that if I enjoyed it to give them a good review. I did enjoy it so I am giving them a good review. Over the years Amelia has had many restaurants come and go. Some I am sure were not that good but I imagine some were probably not too bad. I am hoping this one lasts, and that if there are issues (most all businesses have an issue or two) that it gets sorted out and it improves. I saw a couple negative reviews here, nothing wrong with sharing a bad experience but let's also make sure we share the good ones as well. read more

Welcome to Amelia! We enjoyed a delicious meal last night....herb crusted salmon, Madeira chicken and NY strip. All cooked to perfection. Green beans cornbread and crème brûlée cheesecake were super tasty too. Owner was very kind and checked in on us often. They just opened so you may need to be patient with the wait, but is worth it because the food is so good. Looking forward to returning real soon. read more

We went to Amelias kitchen to try them out. we were seated quickly. upon seating the waitress came and took our drink orders. sweet tea for me and water for my wife. Tea was terrible and replaced with water. we ordered a deluxe pizza. 15 minutes later the waitress comes and asks if we are ready to order. Told her we already did, 15 minutes ago. "oh that's right you had the deluxe pizza" and walks away to supposedly check on our order. Never comes backs. After patienly wait for 45 minutes FINALLY we left. Couldn't tell you how the food is, we never got served and we walked out. read more

We had lunch at Amelia's Kitchen and this is by far a great restaurant addition to this area. It is packed to the gills daily which says a lot as well. We ordered the 8oz prime rib which was cooked to perfection and the fish and fries which were delicious. And they didn't skimp on the bang bang shrimp appetizer either. Our server was excellent and friendly as well. Decor not overly fancy but very tasteful. Really impressive job on remodeling the place. Prices very reasonable for what you get.
