Upon having our master shower remediated for mold through our home insurance policy, we were on the hunt for a company that could reconstruct the shower. I submitted a request through Yelp, and Global Prevention Services responded and got me scheduled for a consultation immediately. Shortly after this consultation, the Global Prevention Services Project Coordinator, Kimberly, put together several service estimates for me, as we weren't yet sure the direction we wanted to go with the shower tile. Kimberly was patient with us as we picked out materials and went back and forth on what we wanted to do! Due to our mold experience, we ultimately decided we wanted to limit the amount of grout in the shower, in hopes of minimizing the chances of it failing. With that, we started the reconstruction! Throughout the whole process, Kimberly and Rudy, the project manager, were incredibly thorough, communicative, and overall, just really helpful. We could not be more grateful for the time and effort both Kimberly and Rudy spent trying to make our shower dreams come true. I would also love to give a shout out to all of the guys who helped load and unload HUGE porcelain slabs -- that is no easy feat! In our case, we had over $500,000 in fire and water damage, and it seemed like everyone else was more concerned about their profit margins than helping us. They were honest, upfront, and transparent from day one. They took the time to review every budget, selection, and step of the process with us, making sure we understood everything along the way. Before the plumber even arrived, three different restoration companies showed up at my door. The strange part? I never called any of them and nobody told me anyone was coming out. I did overhear one of the technicians I allowed in for a "free evaluation" on speakerphone with the plumber asking if a $2,000 finder's fee sounded reasonable. I kept my mouth shut but it definitely raised some red flags. I listened to all three companies separately and then decided to do some serious research online. While some companies have plenty of glowing Google reviews, once you start looking at other sources like Yelp, the Arizona ROC, and the BBB, the picture can look very different. Consider this a friendly warning to homeowners: do your homework. After digging deeper, I was fortunate to find ASAP Restoration. One thing that immediately stood out is that they do not work referral deals with plumbers, do not pay kickbacks, and do not play games with deductibles. They simply focus on doing the job correctly. The team was extremely professional. The mitigation/demo crew handled the water damage quickly and thoroughly, and the reconstruction team has been excellent. We're now about 90% finished with the rebuild and everything is coming together great. I just felt the need to share my experience before heading out for spring break. She had her team come out later that day and moved all our furniture out of the standing water, got rid of the water and took all the laminate and vinyl plank flooring out of the rooms, put high power dryers and de humidifiers everywhere for a week to dry everything out. They cut a foot of drywall where the water where it had been damaged. The removed water damaged cabinets, they removed asbestos and black mold and de-contaminated everything. This company was very prompt and professional. They sealed areas so as not to contaminate them. This company is top rated in our book. Stalin came out that very evening within 1/2 hour of my call and arranged for a crew the next morning. Rich and crew were at my house by 8 the following morning. They removed the wet areas, prepped and sanitized the site and put in their drying equipment. I'm providing my response below: I trust the owner will be able to identify who I am since they've needed to return on more than one occasion for warranty work. The owner's assumption that this is a fake review is inaccurate. They are well aware of our project since we have had numerous warranty issues that they've had to come and fix. I was told my review was read and acknowledged. I was told the former project manager was a "dirtbag" and a "car salesman". I'm not sure why the owner is acting as though this review is inaccurate. I was also told that the subcontractors that were assigned to us are no longer with ACR. I find it kind of disappointing that the owner chose to discredit this review rather than just take accountability, especially being dismissive about the paint brush comment. Nothing in this review was rude or subjective; all based on facts -- most of which his employees have shared with me. Nevertheless, I fully expect the owner to go on the defensive to my edit as he has on all the other reviews. He is well aware of our project, the firing of our PM, the subcontractors that were assigned to my project, and the sub-par work done in my home -- which the person who completed our walk through commented on.
