These are by far the absolute BEST! We have used them for several issues after moving into our 25 yr old home. We have had to use them for a dishwasher, washer/dryer and air conditioning. I used American Air and the replaced the compressor in my 5 ton unit. Two months later the air went out. The same technician came out and was indecisive about what was wrong. He finally said it was the mixing valve. I decided to what until it started to get warm before revisiting the problem which I conveyed to the technician. I called another company and got a second opinion and the called American Air back. The owners wife said that because I called another company the won't warranty the compressor. The other company says the compressor is bad and American Air said it's the mixing valve. Basically American Air stole $2000 from me and will not make food on their parts. I had an issue with my refrigerator dispenser, so I called American Air & Appliance. This was not an emergency, but they still got me worked in pretty fast. Ian showed up at the scheduled time, spent over two hours working on the fridge, even called the manufacturer tech support for help, to no avail. Before leaving, we discussed several options to get the problem resolved. Since he was not able to resolve the issue, he did not charge me for his time. I was most impressed with the fact that Ian was not simply "changing parts" but really trying to determine what the issue really was. I didn't actually use their services. I called today because I noticed that my refrigerator door had been left open all night. And while the freezer seem to be working okay,the refrigerator was warm. When I called and talk to the sweet lady on the phone, she told me to unplug my fridge and let it sit for a while to see if it would start working again. She didn't want to charge me for something that might not even be broken. You don't really find people like that anymore. Usually companies try to charge you for anything they can. Alas our air conditioner did not work this year, and I had to get it repaired. I called a company the listed first on Google Search (Ace Air) and had a less than pleasant experience. I then called American Air and appliance. What a major difference! Bridgette in the office was exceptionally helpful and they dispatched Micheal to my home within an hour. After tracking down the leak (that Ace wanted to charge me an additional $250 for) Micheal explained to me the nature of the problem and gave me a total run down on the charges. After a call to the office, he repaired the issue, recharged the system and presented me with the bill. I was pleasantly surprised at how reasonable the cost was! I don't normally use Facebook, Twitter or Yelp for this but I felt compelled to tell my friends in the valley that if you ever need any help with your air conditioner, heater or appliances I hope you use American Air and Appliance! This isn't a sales pitch but I truly couldn't say enough wonderful things about this company. They had two people to my house within 2 hours of my call yesterday. After assessing the problem, Ian the owner, explained it to me in a way that I could understand and didn't continue until I completely understood and had all my questions answered. He gave me a few options on how to go about fixing it and even recommend the easier (cheaper) way, not trying to up charge me. The two of them spent over an hour at my house fixing the drain and getting it to work properly for the evening so we wouldn't be out of air for another night. Three guys (including Ian again) were here for 2.5 hours this morning, right on time, and fixed it completely. Ian explained it all the way thru, showing me the broken parts and making sure I understood exactly what they were doing. All three guys were clean, professional, polite and friendly. They cleaned up their mess and even left my laundry room (access to the attic) cleaner then they found it. Bridget in the office was kind, understanding and calming when I called to schedule the appointments. She also called this morning to let me know they were on their way. She was professional and knowledgable and relieved a lot of my anxiety. As a single woman I like to research the problem so that I have at least the basic knowledge of the appliance. I don't want to get taken advantage of or feel confused about what is happening and what needs to be done. I never felt taken advantage of nor felt inferior. If anything I feel they gave me a phenomenal deal financially. Truly a phenomenal company and I will only ever call them for all my needs. I just got home and my house is COOL!!! read more

I have used these guys twice and both times were excellent. The first time another company had quoted me $2500 for a repair. I called these guys and talked to the tech on the phone and he didn't believe the tech fromt eh other company did any real troubleshotting. I've used this company several times for maintenance at my home and they've always done a great job! Last week I came home and my A/C was out so I called to see if they could send someone out to look at it and sure enough an hour later Ian came out and had it diagnosed. Unfortunately for us it was that we needed a new unit (our unit was very old and we knew it was going out). Ian and Bridgette were on the phone first thing in the morning to order a new one and were able to get it in within days. This is a great company with fast response time and always gives fair prices. First off let me tell you this is not a sponsored add. If you live in North Phoenix American Air and Appliance is the way to go for air conditioning repair and/or appliance repair. As all of you know in Phoenix starting in June it can get to undesirable temperatures. On Friday at 3pm I realized my air was not working when it hit 85 in my house. I called around and searched on Yelp for advice from the public. No one was answering, one guy even said " I have no interest in servicing up there." I left a message at American Air and Appliance that I was getting frustrated with no one picking up and next person who calls me back gets the business. In less than 30 minutes I received a call back from Ian's (owner) wife, who by the way was vacationing with their son at some lake in Northern AZ. She said Ian, her husband, could be there within the hour. This was at 4pm on a Friday afternoon. He showed up within the hour, 55$ service charge which is taken off if there is something that needs repair. He tested the capacitor and other things on AC I dont know anything about and determined the capacitor was out. It took less than hour for him to cool down my AC unit (because it had overheated due to the capacitor being out and the motor still wanting to run), replace the capacitor and get it back to pumping out cold air. Throughout this process I tested him with questions and stories about scam artists in the business, he was very upfront and honest with me and showed/explained what was going on. I would recommend this guy to anyone in the valley. He stayed home and worked over the weekend while his kid and wife were jet skiing up north. I was referred to AAA by my father-in-law who used them for his rental property, and they are absolutely amazing. I had an issue with my A/C and my home warranty company Old Republic agreed to replace the unit but then they kept jacking around and not ordering the replacement and sending out a bad contractor.
