We sat on the plane at JFK for 2 hours before they decided to tell us we had to take ourselves and our luggage off the plane. Our flight was scheduled for 9:30 a.m. and they told us they would have news at 1 p.m. They could not determine what, if anything, was wrong with the plane and whether they could use it or would have to get another plane. At 1 p.m., they said they would have news at 1:30 and instructed us to form two lines for food vouchers. As my husband and I waited in line for a half-hour, they delivered the "good" news that they were returning our plane to the gate and we would be able to board shortly. When I finally received my voucher for a lousy ten dollars, I asked if I could use it in San Francisco. The staff-person cheerfully said she did not know but to be safe I should use it there. I said that I thought we were boarding soon and didn't know if I would have time. The staff-person then snapped at me, saying that Au Bon Pain was nearby and the plane wasn't even there yet. Her tone told me that I was surely an idiot, which I was for believing we would soon be boarding. We boarded at 2:30 and finally took off at 3, 5.5 hours after our scheduled takeoff. I think she was angry because I had joked with other passengers that the mechanics must have finally returned from the store with the duct tape. So, I have to ask AA, why did you not issue the vouchers as soon as we got off the plane? You knew we would not have news before 1 p.m. Doesn't a 3.5 hour delay warrant your lousy $10 for lousy overpriced food at JFK? Judging from the other reviews, delays happen all the time, yet you don't know if the vouchers can be used in other airports? Generally, the staff were unfriendly. We only used AA because my husband's mom gave us the frequent flyer miles. She flies AA to Japan because there is more leg room than JAL, which is not saying much. read more

On my way to a well deserved vacation in Mexico, American Airlines screwed up my reservation. They lost my bags for 48hrs and on receiving my bags, my suitcase zippers were cut and 400$ worth of my things were missing. I filed a complaint as instructed by the baggage claim manager and 3 months later my claim was denied any reimbursement. I will not tell you the huge ordeal it is filing the claim. They make the filing process so ridiculous that people do not bother doing so. Now the manager I spoke to 3 months ago no longer works there and the new manager refuses to call me back. American Airlines does not care about it's customers and I guess stealing from them is just a job perk. I will never fly American Airlines again. FYI ... The planes are old , uncomfortable and noisy. Uggggh! NEVER again! Flying AA was not a choice. We had to since we had booked originally through a travel agent, cancelled, and then had to use the tickets by a certain date. All I have to say is, for a 4 1/2-5 hour flight from JFK to Las Vegas, they should provide you with some sort of SNACK that they dont CHARGE for! Are you kidding me? Being that we flew early AM and late PM on the way home, there should of been a meal, never mind a snack. But whatever, the SEATS WERE SO UNCOMFORTABLE anyway, I don't know how I would have ate. [AND WE HAD EXIT ROW SEATS!] We are normal sized height and weight, so dont get mistaken that we are big people complaining. Tried to get seats on the flight from Newark to Phoenix, was told the flight was full, only single seats available in the middle, but if I wanted to pay, I could get 2 seats together. Believing there were no 2 "Free Seats" avaiable, I was forced to pay an additional $30+ to sit next to my husband. Get on plane, guess what...not only wasn't the flight full, it was 25% empty with may 2 seats together, including the 3 seat row we were in that I had to pay extra for, and let me share, this wasn't the "roomy leg seat" this was the Free Seat, I was forced to pay extra for, on a flight that clearly had available seating! What a rip off, and what a blatant false advertising, to show only available seats together, had to pay extra. When will the public get relief from these criminal practices. Flying in to Newark Airport with American Airlines(United Airlines ) has been the worst flight birthday weekend of my life. I flew in to this airport to fly into Montego Bay, Jamaica. I was delayed for 5 hours with any reason from staff. I was upset because I prepaid for arrangements to the resort. I missed my ride and had to pay for another taxi. Trying to return was terrible as well. I was delayed three times again no explanation(Newark Airport again) . Then I told the flight reception I was running to the restroom and I had an injury ankle please don't leave me. I wasn't gone 3 mins and they boarded the flight and was gone. My name was nevered called over the PA. They nevered called for final boarding. I was furious!! I had to spend the night in the airport. Anyone flying out of SDF airport do not fly to EWR (Newark airport). I repeat if you see EWR come up switch your flight!!!! I've been flying AA for some time now. I fly out of Philadelphia and use the airline for the majority of my business travel. Most of my experiences have been good to excellent. My last flight was horrible. I had a middle seat. No problem, even though I'me a little over 6'3". The flight was delayed twice because of weather. Again, no problem. Thats a situation beyond their control. Unfortunately, a women say sat next to me in the window seat with a dog on her lap for most of the trip (that's when she didn't have it on the floor feeding it). The dog smelled. I pushed myself into one corner of my seat, trying not to encroach upon the person in the aisle seat. The lady in the aisle seat had no such compunction. She had the arm rest up, and she and her dog were spilling into my seat. I try to be conscientious. I thought maybe this is one of those emotional support animals. As much as I tried to avoid the dog, it was waging its tail against me and sniffing me. Whats the big deal you ask? Well, after the flight, I got into my car. Guess what? I now smelled like the smelly dog! As soon as I got home, I put my shirt and suit jacker in a plastic bag to send to the dry cleaners. I have to pay for someone else's smelly dog. I reached out to AA. Their answer was basically, "We're sorry you had a bad experience..." I understand the need for service dogs. However, where do my rights as a paying. loyal customer begin and end? Should I have to be scrunched up in my seat to avoid someone's animal from smelling me up? I hadn't flown American Airlines in some time and I think I had forgotten why I hadn't flown with them. Now I remember. I made a reservation in October to go to Florida in April from Newark Airport with a 45 minute layover in Chicago. Yesterday I receive an e-mail from American indicating that they have changed my flight so that it would be leaving about 5 hours earlier with a 4 hour layover in Chicago. American ALWAYS does this to me. I was able to change the reservation after staying on hold with the reservation desk for 1/2 hour. So now I have used up my airlines miles with them and will NEVER fly with them again. Sticking with Southwest or Jet Blue. read more

ZERO stars. Yes, ZERO. I have never felt more compelled to reach out to Yelp to ask them to give me that option. I despise AA. Why? 1. The lose my luggage every time I check a bag and have a connecting flight. And that is not an exaggeration. 2. Almost everyone that is on staff, especially flight attendants, are dead rude. I was literally knocked over by one on a flight a few weeks ago with no apology or "excuse me". ???? 3. As the fifth person to board the plane, I was forced to "gate check" my small rollerboard suitcase that would have easily fit in the overhead of the large 757 which, keep in mind, was empty since I had just arrived on the plane. I was told to get the suitcase upon departing from the aircraft and, of course, they had lied and sent the bag to baggage claim. 4. What airline doesn't have customs forms on board when you fly to a foreign country? American Airlines, that's who. Okay, I have to quit this list now. It's getting me all worked up thinking about it. My son was flying from ewr to texas we had to check 1 bag. We went to the sky caps and there weren't any. When did they get rid of the skycaps? We waited on the line for 50 minutes and the line was not that long. They let people cut the line who went to the wrong line. Are you kidding me. I had to wait almost an hour and they get to wait 10 minutes. Very slow and unorganized. Seemed to take 15 minutes to check 3 bags for 1 family? Really!!! We took 3 minutes literally. I took a chance booking with American Airlines and frankly I took a bad chance. I never thought I would be THAT traumatized with an airline in my entire life. I never liked flying, but this made me wish to NEVER FLY AGAIN ANYWHERE!! After arranging for my shuttle to pick me up at 2:35 am and drop me off at La Guardia, I found out as soon as I got there that my flight was canceled. Now I know the snow in Dallas was not something that could be helped. But the rest of my journey will still have me recovering to this day. I wasn't able to get on the phone with an agent and had to wait in the food court until the American Airline agents were there. When I finally got there, after countless people in line complaining that they couldn't get the kiosks to work, I was met with a very rude lady. I understand that she was probably dealing with a bunch of jerks, my I was being extremely nice considering my ride home was being set back. She booked me on the standby flight to O'hare, but failed to put on the standby list in O'hare, of course I didn't find this out until after the second standby flight and I only had two more standby flights to be on. I understand that a lot of people had their flights canceled, but any other flight was WAY overbooked and I even noticed on the way to O'hare there were several open seats in first class, that could easily could have accommodated displaced travelers such as myself. Plus once I was in O'hare, there apparently was no other way for me to get home, except for the flight back to Austin, which were all filled to the brim. Evidently there is no other route in the world I could have taken to get back home. I tried to explain to the agents that I was a mother of four, one child mentally disabled and that my ONE day trip turned in to three long days!! It didn't matter, American Airlines couldn't set you up with another partner flight that they so eagerly commercialized. I either needed to be lucky and take their DIRECT AND ONLY flight to Austin or stay for eternity. Then I found out that they were taking in passengers, from Delta, American Eagle and American West. So where did that leave me? Number 15 out of 31 people waiting for standbys. The Delta flights seemed fine and so did the others, so why couldn't I have hopped on a Delta flight? I'm still wondering..... I finally got home and was so pissed off, I grabbed my bags and didn't even bother telling the baggage claim that I retrieved them. I WILL NEVER FLY AMERICAN AIRLINES AGAIN! I HATE AMERICAN AIRLINES! They don't even deserve half of this one star. read more

A SIMPLE REQUEST On March 21st, I was traveling home, with my husband, , from an extended business trip. When making the reservation, for my husband, I chose the seat adjoining mine. We really like to spend the quality 6 hours of air time together :) No big deal but simple enough to do. When we checked in, online, the seat assignment changed, somehow (only after clicking confirm of course). Simple, I said, I will just call, which I did immediately. The customer service representative could not help me with my simple request to sit next to my husband, and I quote "I cannot do that" "You will have to do that when arriving at the airport". The next morning, we arrived at JFK early, (people who know John, can appreciate how much he enjoyed that I had a reason to be there early...lol..... ) I asked the agent that was helping with baggage (the only person we could find) to help us with my simple request. She said "she could not help us" "we had to do that at the gate" Oh, of course, I obviously do not understand how this sitting together thing works...geesh...such a loser!! I had only a small carry-on, so I went ahead to the gate while my husband proceeded to check his luggage (to his credit he had some of my stuff in that big bag) . Arriving at the gate there was one person in line and no gate agent yet (it was quite early) I waited 45 minutes, by this time the line had grown quite long (at least 20 people), I found out an earlier flight had been canceled and some were anxiously waiting to see if they could get on this flight. I felt bad, I mean all I wanted was to sit next to this guy here. .....About 40 minutes into our wait, a line of AA employees had formed along the opposite wall. I suppose waiting for the same thing as the people behind me. ONE lone gate agent finally arrived. "Yay" I thought, surely she can help me with my simple request, and then I can grab a snack and use the restroom (I think they charge for the poytty on the plane these days) . But NO, this agent made no eye contact nor acknowledgment of the customers in line, may I add we had been waiting close to an hour!! Instead she turned her attention to the AA employees, that had been waiting 10 minutes, and began to help them find seats on the flight ( I am not here to say this is not important ,as well, but she may have helped or even acknowledged the confirmed passengers in line first, and then maybe even a word or two to those hoping to join our flight) (Side note: If AMERICAN AIRLINES would like to have an in-service or webinar on customer service basics, I would be more than happy to facilitate...). I have to note she was the only AMERICAN AIRLINES representative, anywhere, even though there was obviously a situation, for all of these people in line, that needed addressing (maybe up the bag fees and hire another agent??) Sorry, I digress, back to the Simple Request; the agent (I refer to her as agent, because she is CLEARLY not CUSTOMER SERVICE) proceeded to help each AMERICAN AIRLINES employee one at a time, still no acknowledgement of us in line, or asking what we may need? Smile? Half an eye while blnking?? no :( Instead she helped her fellow employee's, this took a little more than 20 minutes (anybody who knows me is adding all of this time up and #1. can't believe I was at the airport this early for a flight and #2 can't believe I didn't wet my pats) . The time of the flight was fast approaching. The Sun broke through the clouds , the spirits graced us and she looked at me.....I finally got to speak to her. This lasted 1.2 seconds, I explained my simple request for my original reservation seat assignments to be honored or at least us put together somewhere (I planned on sleeping, I prefer my husband shoulder). She made NO attempt to help, she simply said "NO", and told me, there was nothing she could do, the flight was full and all seats were occupied. (I am thinking she probably has a point here, considering she just put 20 of her fellow AA employees on the flight....were they sitting together?...just saying)! At this point I was so frustrated I wanted to cry....let me just say this is not normal for me...I think it was my bladder......, I had waited well over an hour for nothing, not to mention my time on the phone the prior day and the arrival early to the airport. I had no time to grab a snack for the 6 hour flight, or to use the restroom. GRRRRRRR!!! This can't be so difficult, right? As we boarded, my thoughts were confirmed, there were the AA employees snug as bugs sitting together (perhaps they are afraid of flying?) (again, I am not here to say the employees should not have a seat, but was it more important for them to sit together than the customer?) I could not refrain, I said something to the seated employees (a little teary...again the bladder) as well as to the flight attendants, and not one AA personnel was helpful or concerned. read more

Would give it a 0 but there were some nice people . My first complaint was that they don't care or give you a discount for bereavement knowing the financial situation thus bring to the grieving family, you'll get zero discount . Had 2 free tickets for joining the aviators credit card but since I didn't book within 21 days I was charge $172.00 for two tickets thank you American . I was offered free bags check in , I was only allowed one bag the other if I was going to check in was $30 dollars . Last one but not least my autistic child was hungry so told my wife to order something for her the stewardess Pamela , she made sound like they did not had anything but snacks in short flights , but in the mean time across the idle this young man was able to order a snack box from same stewardess , very nice American to hire people like her maybe she should be doing something else . Poor Customer Service It take 3 to 4 phone calls to get the right information. Employees are not knowledgeable and they often just give completely wrong information. Just now I'm on the phone waiting to get a reservation resolved. One employee told me that miles take 4 hours to be accredited, after going 3 times to the website to check on that, I called back and they told me that in fact that takes between 24 and 48 hours. After waiting for that long I finally call again and I'm being told that it takes 5 business days!!! On top of this they're charging $20.00 each passenger for buying buying the tickets over the phone. And is not their website is great. They're website is quite outdated and confusing. I'm a Advantage member and I receive tons and tons of advertising from them and the credit cards. Why not spend some energy in keeping the customers they already have. Promises, points, miles, it's all a waste of time. read more

AA has completely lost my trust. The woman at the check in counter knew nothing about whether military civilians get free checked bags. She took my boyfriend's ID around asking about it. After deciding he doesn't get free checked bags (the only airline in his experience), we paid for the bag, and finally she gave us our boarding pass. However, she mentioned NOTHING about it being delayed. We found out after I noticed that the time is different on our boarding pass. When the time came to board, we find out that the flight is CANCELLED when we noticed no plane at our gate. We approached some AA attendants at the gate over and the woman apologized for forgetting to announce it, and then looked for another flight for us. She found one for a 5:00AM flight - 4:30 check in and gave us a hotel voucher of which the shuttle runs every half hour. That means we would have to leave the hotel at 3:00AM in order to make the flight. At 2:30, my boyfriend finds out through the flight tracker to discover it is cancelled AGAIN! He tries to call customer service to reschedule but had a 1 hour wait time on the phone. When he finally gets through, the man on the phone suggested a flight at JFK at 7:00am, which we wouldn't be able to make it in time even if we left at that moment (3:40) because we would have to wait for the (every 30 min) shuttle, get on the airport train, get to the stop for long term parking, then get the bus to get us to our car, and then drive over an hour to JFK. So then he puts us on a 3:50 flight to Chicago getting us there nearly 6:00pm. Our whole Saturday is gone. The reason we're going to Chicago is for an annual conference. We're presenting at the last session on Sunday. We were going to attend a day of sessions on Saturday which we paid a lot of money for. In addition to the valuable experience at the conference and meaningful connections we could have made, AA wasted us a lot of money and time. I will NEVER fly with them again. And I advise everyone not to either. Oh, and definitely use a flight tracker if you want to know if your flight is cancelled or delayed. Don't expect to hear from AA otherwise. read more

What's to say about the (currently) largest airline in the world?!? After 24 years as a frequent flyer of them (and 5 million miles), I would say that they are better than ever. The U.S. airways merger has gone well enough (much better than the TWA merger in 2000). I don't fly other airlines much, so I can't really compare, but I my Yelp-opinion, AA is alright. read more

In this day and age, there is simply no excuse for a major airline such as American not to have toilet seat covers! That little factoid right there exemplifies the mentality of the company...they just don't give a shit about the customer. I guess I shouldn't be surprised then that on a long haul flight from LAX to EWR they would run out of the "sandwich" meal -- after only about 10 people in a full cabin had purchased them. They could not have foreseen that they would need a pilot to fly the plane ? They also need to work on their communication-it was hard to get an update on what is going on and the staff was pretty surly. American Airlines "Basic " fare is deceptive. You are not allowed to carry on baggage that would normally fit in the overhead bins. In fact you are not allowed to use the overhead bins at all. You must check your luggage before going through security and pay the $25.00 fee. (If you try to gate check it appears that you will be charged this fee as well as an additional one -I may be wrong about the additional fee. ) In addition you can no longer choose your seat without also paying a fee. This includes any seat even in the back of the plane. With the additional fees the cost of the fare is no longer economical. read more

Do not fly with American Airlines from London Heathrow. American Airlines are robbers and cheaters. Nowhere on their website do they detail charges for extra baggage. I was held up at the airport for a $200. fee for three bags, two of which were rather small. They didn't weigh them they just said, if I didn't pay, I couldn't fly. Service at the airport was wretched. Three people were in front of me and I had to wait 20 minutes to be served. The airplane itself has a grim interior and it appeared dirty because of the colors used. The "food" is worse than garbage. Their beef dinner consisted of white rice,a few carrots and thick gravy with three pieces of mystery meat inside. The second "meal" served was a joke. coming back from London it was our breakfast time. We were served something laughingly called "pizza". This was tough hard flat bread with a smear of tomato sauce on it. The largest part of the "meal" was the carboard box this thing came in. The stewardesses were overweight ,unkempt and had stained clothing. When I tried to walk up the aisle, I was blocked by a stewardess and told I had to use a particular bathroom. Well, I wasn't going to the bathroom. The stewardesses stood guard at the one toilet and wouldn't let the passengers through to a back part of the plane. I just wanted to take a little walk. Additionally, the "entertainment" provided, the videos and programs are old and there is a very small choice. There really was nothing decent to watch. Why do they even bother? Everything about this airline is bottom rate.You should only fly with American as a last resort. Watch out for the hidden fees. They do not make their fees clear at all and be prepared for a "stick up" at the check in counter. read more

I'm not going to say anything about having to check myself in, and print up my own tags, then drag my bag over to be checked (most of this used to be someone's job). Let me talk about paying $1400 for 2 seats in economy, THEN being forced to pay $25 to check my bag, THEN, once on the flight, being told there was a charge for snacks only shortly after listening to the announcement that boasted American Airlines as the largest airline in the US or some such nonsense. That just doesn't add up! I'm horrified at all the extra charges a person is asked to fork over after paying so much for 2 seats in economy for a 2 hour flight! $40 to switch a seat??? Disgusting! Just one big rip off! For me, this is a big reason American airline companies will never be better than many foreign companies. Charging for those ridiculous snacks is not only a slap in the face, but also means it takes flight attendants twice as long to serve people which means they spend more time blocking the aisle. I have flown a couple of different airlines in the last 6 months. Out of all the ones I've use, American Airlines is the best. Friendly staff. From the agents to the flight attendants, the staff is amazing. American Airlines is my preferred airlines if I can help it. read more

I have never had such TERRIBLE service than with flying with AA. I of my 3 bags was lost and I was told it was coming in the flight the next morning and was guaranteed it would arrive by 5pm to my house. After 6pm I called Luggage Services & Logistics 908-290-3068 (delivery company) where I was repeatedly lied to & given wrong information hr after hr. At 9:30pm they finally tell me that the driver instead of delivering to the closest area first which is what I was originally told (where I was 20 min away) he was in PA and was not due to arrive for another 2hrs. I waited 2.5 hrs and called them again numerous times where no one picked and their voicemail was conveniently full (even though they told me they were open until 3am). I called AA's 800-535-5225 # but they also couldn't get through because they only had the same # and no one was picking up for them either. I kept calling LSL where someone did pick up after 45 min and they hung up on me. 8.5 hrs later after my guaranteed delivery time I finally received my bag DAMAGED. Maybe this was because it was on some truck since this morning driving across multiple states. It is completely UNACCEPTABLE that this is the company that AA associated itself with and they obviously have no care for meeting delivery times or being responsive with accurate information. It's a complete joke. I have gotten packages delivered from abroad in less time. What's worse is their customer service each time telling me "sorry there's nothing they can do" and to go online & fill out some form for Customer Relations or transferring me to a diff #. I fly often especially internationally and I have never had such a bad experience EVER. In the future, I will never fly with AA again. read more

By far the worst customer service I have experienced from the check-in point to the TSA workers it was absolutely disgusting. When my family and I checked in around 4 a.m. Velma, an older woman with red glasses appeared very impatient so I asked her how her day was going and she said she is freaking aggravated already and I told her to take it easy not everyone is a frequent flyer. And then when I get to the TSA I asked the man where would you like me to place my bag? And he replied where else would you put it ? " Then another woman started to recite the policy going into the metal detectors and she began shouting " pay attention and listen to the words that are coming out of my mouth" I really wish I would have gotten her name and if I had enough time I would have made a complaint on site but the way she spoke so comfortably amongst her co-workers and in front of the other customers I could tell this is what she is accustomed to doing. And again on the way back in Charlotte North Carolina another TSA by the name of April Williams would not even speak up to acknowledge people when they approached her or even say good morning and she kept pointing to where she wanted the customers to go after she check their passes when you ask her a question her responses were uh huh and uh uh. Very unprofessional and a poor representation of the company I hope someone of management or higher reads this and addresses the issues. read more

I usually have great things to say for this place but not today): the folks working security weren't so delightful and were a bit rude. They screamed at my son Timothy, who by the way is 7.5 years old, saying "take ur shoes off kid!" In a very forceful tone. My kate spade suit case from marshals was scraped and someone stuck a piece of chewed gum to the bottom of my shoes, and last time I checked it wasn't April fools day. On the plane they sadly didn't provide me with a full course meal and moist towelette. My daughter Bethany was very disappointed when her Shirley temple had no cherries, like who does that. My fellow passengers were quite loud. Including crying babies, rapid vomiting, loud coughs/sneezes and gum smacking. I ended up jumping off with my parashoot I packed in my backpack and ended up having a way better flight. BUT, no offense or anything read more

Worst trip due to this airlines. Flight delayed 2 hrs in Tampa, then 4 hrs in Dallas followed by the worst unfriendly agents at the gates. What a fiasco. Once on the planes the flight crew were professional. Should fire and clean house for all non flight workers or at minimum re-educate them on customer service skills. Flying is never pleasant any more but AA is the worst of the 4 domestic airlines we have flown so far this year. Just a thought, whay are international carriers so far advanced in quality of equipment and customer skills compared to our domestic carriers?? read more

They are back to their old ways cancelling less than full flights, leaving customers (we are not passengers, we are CUSTOMERS!) stranded. Was scheduled on a Thursday evening 7 pm flight out of JFK to Charlotte on July 13th (Everyone avoiding La Guardia - does anything in NYC work correctly right now, or is it one big Graft-fest?). The Thursday evening of the flight, they announce at the gate, because of air traffic and weather issues, our plane (in bound from Charlotte) had to land in Baltimore. I go to the line to re-book, it's jammed. I make the call to their 1-800 service, and, she says the next available flight in Friday night, same time slot, but they are expecting more weather events. I say what's next? I re-book a Saturday AM flight, they have 2, and the storms should subside by then. They have a 6.15 and an 8.15 am flight out of JFK. Call my family to pick me up, stay locally, I am set. Taxi arrives at 6 am to get me to JFK Saturday morning, I arrive, and the Departure board looks clean, except i see two red glitches. Both the 6.15 and 8.15 American flights are cancelled, everything else is flying. They cancelled either because they were light on passengers, crew, or equipment. And I never even got an e-mail or phone call. When I called, they said 'weather event'. I called BS, and told the agent the entire departure board was full of on time departures except the two AA flights. BS on the claim for weather events. I even invoked that if they are laying claim to that for insurance purposes, it's insurance fraud, weather is nice, planes are flying. Just not their planes. Want to try again? I'm now re booked, but will now give them the 'Loprosy Treatment', no bookings for 6 months until I see them improve. When that will happen, I don't know. I'm a Gold Mileage member, and they make me puke at their inconsideration to serve customers. I think they thought they were one notch above United, but they are trying hard to be as bad. Every airline CEO, include the pencil pusher CEO Doug Parker, should read "From Worst to First by Gordon Bethune", former CEO of Continental who turned them around by focusing on Customer satisfaction, not how many olives were in a salad. read more

On 6/7/2018 Flew AA from Newark NJ to Charlotte NC on American Airlines Flt 1539 . Capt Joe was outstanding. First he personally (meaning in person where the Attendants stand & use the mic), greeted the passengers. Next he recognized any US Veterans who were flying with several on board which resulted in applause and appreciation. The flight was the smoothest I have ever flown and upon departing he personally thanked me for flying AA. What a class act. I hope I get to fly with him again. read more
