They threw my luggage so hard that it ripped open. Shame! They replaced my luggage with something real nice today, at no charge!

I fly American the least, but all good on flights the last few months. They tend to be the most expensive and have less routes to where I travel most. My most recent American flight from Norfolk to DC to San Diego was on time each step. I felt safe the entire time. Staff wore mask the entire flight. They are now filling third rows. I would say a 3.5 fits them best and recommend.

The First Class breakfast was delicious and served by Flight Attendant Jeanetta.

Southwest does not accommodate young travelers/families like other airlines. While they do offer boarding, it's after groups A & B. I'm also used to leaving a car seat at the gate for pickup as soon as we get off. As soon as we entered the plane, I asked the flight attendant if I was fine to leave my car seat there & they agreed. Southwest also has an open seating plan, meaning you don't have an assigned seat, you just pick one once you get in the plane. After we found seats & stowed out bag, they called out on the speaker of whose car seat was at the gate. I raised my hand & they were like why wasn't it checked. I said I confirmed several times it was good to go. I didn't appreciate being belittled by the lady (not sure of her name but she is at the desk in the picture. Had Southwest made their rules & policies about car seats clear, I would have properly followed them. This flight felt chaotic from the time we lined up to board until the plane took off. While I can appreciate the reasonably priced flights during the holiday time, the customer service & family friendly flights are just not what Southwest is about.

Some airlines require you to fly smaller planes out of Norfolk with layovers and plane changes at a hub. There are convenient direct flights such as Delta to LaGuardia in NYC. This is an important flight for me. Another direct flight is one my sister took for many years on Southwest from Nashville. My earliest experiences with flying were in really small airports, some of which probably no longer exist. You haven't lived until you've flown a single prop plane that shook all the way up and down then landed in Greenville, MS stopping just as it reached the levee of the Mississippi River.. When I moved to Atlanta in 1971 my flying experiences completely changed with Hartsfield-Jackson. My first encounter with Norfolk International was when my then 4 year old son & I were coming to meet my already relocated husband to look at houses. My son flew with us a lot from Atlanta. So his experience was with the busiest airport in the world. As we taxied to our gate he said "Oh look, a baby airport. Have you ever seen an airport so small? Isn't it cute?" The more I shushed him the louder he became. People started looking at us. I thought "These people are never want us living here." Forty years later the airport has grown. A new terminal has been built, parking has been expanded with more expansion in progress. An extremely convenient "Park & Wait" lot has been built for those waiting to pick up someone at baggage claim. A new rental car building is in planned and in progress. The airport is convenient, close to my house and meets my needs and those of my family flying in. Forty years later it's served me well.

The bathroom is ok accessibility wise. A wheelchair user might find the one disabled stall to be a bit cramped, but you can fit the chair in there. The toilet isn't too high off the ground, so a transfer could be easier than some locations. I am five feet tall and my feet don't reach the floor on the toilet. The door has a hook that is only a few feet off the ground so a person in a wheelchair or of short stature could easily reach it. There is a large inset shelf above the toilet upon which belongings can be placed. There are grab bars behind and beside the toilet. However, the grab bar beside the toilet is almost completely useless because the toilet paper dispenser blocks you from grabbing it. There is another vertical grab bar above that, it wouldn't work for a wheelchair user. The main bathroom space has a built in footstool for the sink and a needle disposal container. The sinks are too tall for a wheelchair user.

This is my first time I booked a flight with United Airlines, and this was almost my last at the same time! Why you ask? Because: My wife and I arrived at the airport at least an hour and a half before our flight boards! We were standing in the checkout line at least an hour just to check our one suitcase in. It came to a point where they said it was too late to check in luggage, what? We were there for at least an hour in line, how can you say that? It's not our fault there was a delay in check in on their behalf... After more than an hour passed and one of the attendants ask who was traveling to Newark, about 10 or maybe more people shouted out! At this point my wife already headed towards the gate to advise them of the delay at check in! So they were able to radio each other about the people including myself that was waiting to check in with luggage!. Finally I get my luggage checked in and I sprint to TSA! ( Luckily I have TSA pre check so I was able to zip through and then sprint again to my boarding gate!. Let me say this is the first time that I have almost missed a flight and I have been flying as long as I can remember! Will I fly again with United Airlines you ask? Sure, but I hope this never happens to me or any other airline passenger ever again!!!...

My first time flying... smooth coming and going!…read more I have been eyeing this Airline for over a year now. The price for roundtrip ticket from here to Florida was unbelievable. Too good to be true type of thing. Before I decided to give them a try, a friend of mine flew with them a few times and had a few hiccups, but the flight itself, no issues. I still wasn't convinced. It wasn't until March 2018 that I saw an opp that was too good to pass up. I decided to take a trip to Florida in February 2018. I started looking at prices for roundtrip tickets... $300 and above. But I came across a flight under $150... I was like no way!!! Well the price was right and I hopped on and brought a few others with me too! We arrived at check in at ORF... we arrived about 90 minutes before take off and the line was super long to check in our bags. I'd say we spent about 10 minutes in line. Well it was our turn and our luggage was 5 pounds over the limit. In my mind I freaked out... but the employee advised it's ok this time, but be mindful coming back to make sure you are under the limit. Whewww!!! Talk about a relief! So we checked in our bags with no worries. The flight didn't take off as scheduled but take off wasn't that much off of target. The flight staff was great. The young lady that manned the speaker... she was all the way live! She cracked jokes, spoke with a jovial voice... it was almost like, "what airline am I on again" - while she was comical, she definitely had my attention. The flight was smooth... no concerns at all. I'd like to think I'll fly with them again and again! I recommend you give them a try as well. You are required to pay for checked luggage as well as an oversized carry on. And snacks on the plane are provided at a cost. While the ticket prices are cheap, they will get their money back in charging for everything else. Snacks are allowed on the plane. Seating is comfy. And they do offer seating with extra legroom for a few dollars more. Have fun and enjoy life :)

The base price of my ticket was $50 but after choosing my seat & adding an overhead carry on bag, my total was $70. Not bad for a one way flight! 24 hours before my flight, I received the email notification to check in and download their app so I could have a digital boarding pass. The app is easy to navigate and runs smoothly. You can also change you seat and purchase carry on luggage or check in luggage for $18, oppose to $45 if you were to do it at the airport! The seats were comfy, spacious and the area was clean. Flight attendants were kind and very helpful, constantly asking if we needed anything to make our flight more enjoyable. We boarded & took off on time and landed earlier than planned. I would definitely recommend Allegiant Air for short non-stop flights! While they are a low budget airline, they get you to where you need to be without any hassle. *I really appreciated the fact that they warned us passengers before approaching turbulence. It was nice to expect it rather than being flown straight through it and freaking out. Tip: bring a hoodie or jacket because they keep the airplane really cold! I've flown a lot and this has got to be the coldest plane I've been on. I was freezing in my cardigan and jeans.
