Spoke to Brian (owner) and Rich (mechanic) and they ensured me (with 30 mins of talking) that they use the latest technology that VW dealers use to diagnose and fix vehicles and I decided that they would be the shop for me to fix my car. The next day, on the way to Mt Washington Autohaus, my truck broke down in middle of street and i had to have it towed there to the shop. Waited 2 hrs for tow truck and got it there. Rich the mechanic and I helped get the truck off tow truck along with the tow truck driver and into their very small vehicle bay. Signed paperwork and left vehicle with Rich. About 1/2 hr later, owner, Brian, called my phone yelling and screaming at me to get my truck out of his shop because it doesn't run and they aren't able to fix it because it won't move. He threatened to get my truck out of his shop Right NOW or he would get it towed away somewhere. I was then informed that the software they use to diagnose cars does not go past the year 2016. This is after Brian told me he uses a $10K OBD2 scanner and he could fix anything. I ended up wasting my free tow from my insurance company and having to quickly call another tow truck to remove my vehicle from Mt Washington Autohaus, which costed me almost $200 after i was told to bring the truck there. I would not recommend that ANYONE go to this auto shop due to the very rude nature of the 70+ year old Men that run it and make nothing but excuses and are unapologetic in the way they handle business with customers. They also have a terrible insect infestation in the front desk area of the shop but dont seem to mind it along with a waiting room/ front desk area that looks like it has not been upgraded since the 1970s. I would not recommend for anyone to use this shop and look for other alternatives. Brian and Rich's deception of my trust in them to repair my vehicle has cost me a lot of extra money and time and they do not seem to care and offered no other solutions to me after they misinformed me about their abilities to repair vehicles. I have never been thru anything like this in my life and hope no one else puts themselves in a position to do so either. 0 of 5 STARS!!!

Just as I arrived in town from out of state, my BMW overheated - something that had never happened…read morehappened to me before. Since I was not from the area, I was not sure where to take my car to have it diagnosed and fixed. I was very concerned that I might be overcharged or that my car would not be fixed properly. Thankfully, Autohaus was recommended to me and I am very grateful that I followed through with that recommendation. Not only did they take in my car the next day, but it was fixed and returned to me in two days. I priced the work with other shops in the area and I was pleasantly surprised to discover that what Autohaus charged me was very reasonable in comparison. The guys at the shop took the time to explain to me what was wrong and how they planned to fix it. I really appreciated how I was treated. The shop is not fancy, but the guys know their stuff. They specialize in European and Asian cars. My car was fixed and I was able to make the six-hour drive home without any problems. I have not had any issues since the repair. Note that they do not take credit cards - only debit cards or cash. I highly recommend them.

The journey of a thousand miles, starts with one step. As soon as I stepped into the showroom...ok,…read morethe lobby, which looked like a showroom, I was treated like a "Valued Customer"...you know the words. Lots of businesses use them, but Holabird Tire and Auto means it. I'm talking from the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a man who looked at me when I came in and actually said hello. That may not seem like a big deal to you, but how many times have you gone someplace and the person sitting there, didn't even acknowledge you? It's like you don't exist. I don't like being treated that way. I knew I made the right choice to bring my vehicle to them. They give a darn about the customer. I was happy as a lark because I knew I was going to get quality service...and that's in just the words: "Hello. How can I help you"? Everything was neat and orderly. No grease all over the place or abandoned auto parts everywhere. No ripped upon chairs with duct tape on them. And trust me, on my journey to find a decent auto repair shop, I've seen some real sloppy and disgusting places. Once, a "mechanic" lost his tools at a place I visited. Couldn't find them anywhere and once he did that, I had to leave. The only reason I stayed as long as I did was because it was raining and I couldn't get my umbrella to open up fast enough. Plus, the proprietor promised deep discounts. Well, cheap is definitely CHEAP! No thanks. Let me continue with the showroom...um, lobby. It was very nicely laid out. Awesome rims & tires were on display in a nice/arrangement. There were very comfortable padded chairs. Not the old fashioned metal fold ups...you know the ones. They grab you-um- where you try to sit. Painful, indeed. At Holabird Tire & Auto, you don't have to worry about that. They even have a nice table and chair set for the future car owners...they have their own little table, complete with toys for them to play with. It definitely helps keep the little drivers from driving you crazy. Gives them something to do while mom and dad wait. Oh yeah, I almost forgot-there's coffee for those who may need or want an eyeopener. To top it off, there's a pinball machine in the showroom...ok, lobby. I'll get the hang of that sooner or later. I'm not even kidding. It's great! Here's where the rubber meets the road-YOU CAN'T BEAT THE SERVICE. When the tech took my auto in to diagnose the problem, I had every confidence that I would be given the straight story...not a lot of word salad and untruths just to jack up the price. I am so thankful because without their help, I would have been stranded on the road somewhere cursing and crying. Holabird Tire and Auto gives quality service, not lip service. They respect the customer and they keep their clientele informed. Rather than shove things at you to pressure you in to getting high dollar things done, they give you the information, explain in detail and let you decide. Oh, and before I forget...everything that is brought in the shop on any day, is fixed and out the door the same day. HELLO!! Can you beat that? NO!! I could rave on and on, but I have to say, the value is beyond compare. They even do small things that you don't ask for but they know will help your vehicle remain healthy--yes! I said healthy. After all, Holabird Tire and Auto are like doctors. Whatever is wrong with your baby, they'll cure it. Take your car there when you need it to be serviced. I promise you, you won't be disappointed. I am certainly grateful for the great job they've done for me on my little "Silver Fox" - ok, dramatic...but it's my silver Subaru. I love the way they took care of it. And who am I kidding. At the age of 70, I doubt if I'll be getting another vehicle anytime soon. So, I've gotta keep this one running. They are on speed dial for whenever I need anything done to my Forester. I've already told my daughter, Desiree' and her two girls, Ashley and Alexis not to take their cars anywhere other than Holabird Tire and Auto for anything they need done to their cars. I recently had a major issue with my beloved 2008 Infiniti (Stability Braces had completely rotted out) and needed to get these hard to find parts delivered to their shop to save the life of my vehicle. Ronnie and John worked their tails off to find me these vital parts for my vehicle, calling multiple suppliers throughout the USA, and did not stop until they were able to find and install this part, which in turn prevented me from having to purchase a new vehicle. Throughout the process, Ronnie checked in with my frequently to let me know where things stood, and kept me notified of any changes/costs etc. that were ongoing. Literally ANY other Auto Service Provider would've given up and told me I was out of luck and to find the parts on my own, but not Olympic Auto. If you are looking for a place that won't give you the run around and will keep your car running at a high level until the very end, look no further. This is the BEST Auto Service Provider in the greater Baltimore-Washington area, I challenge anyone to debunk this statement. He was able to remember me by my voice, and never failed to call me by name. Talk about customer service! I went in for drums and shoes. It only cost me $83 more than doing it myself. The price is unbeatable. What's more, they have some laminated sheets to help explain all of the repairs. Those tools were instrumental in helping me explain the repair to my wife. All in all, I will return (though hopefully not too soon) to this auto shop. The customer service is amazing, the brakes are doing great, and the price was beyond compare.
