I brought my truck in for a tire rotation and balance. I reminded them the air pressure needed to be reset. After waiting a bit I was ushered into the work area. The person working on my truck cross threaded one of the lugs. The lug nuts are not old as they were purchased from Discount Tire per their recommendation. They claimed the installer screwed it on by hand three turns instead of their company policy of five. A pain yes but it happened. They told me they would repair. My truck is going in the shop for other maintenance the next day and that can be taken care of. I get my truck back and the air pressure is 25 lbs low in the rear and 15 in the front. I had to have that corrected. I am also missing a center cap from my truck. The shop claimed it was missing when I arrived. They said they can order a new one. This is a comedy of errors and I'm paying the price. I would avoid this location. As a company I have bought tires for decades. This location is not up to par.

When we left Verona 8 years ago, there were only two Costcos in the area. The west side one in Middleton was very close to work, was a frequent stop for rotisserie chicken for quick dinner plans. This location opened in Verona since then, and is just as large (probably bigger). Like other Costcos, it has a relationship with local businesses to sell their wares. In our case, I wanted a case of Spotted Cow cream ale from New Glarus brewery ($31.49 for a 24 bottle pack). You can't get that outside of Wisconsin, so was a (somewhat) necessity to bring back to our relatives in IL. The inside was large and wasn't too crowded, even on a Saturday afternoon (with plenty of parking), so was able to find what we wanted and get in line. About an hour later I got a call about it, and was given an outrageous quote to repair the root cause of the light, which turned out to be my alternator. On that call I wasn't given any real explanation or even a breakdown of the cost. That's also where I learned about a diagnostic fee I would be charged even if I went ahead with the repair, something I was never told about upfront. I declined the repair. After that call, I got quotes from a dealership and two other local shops for the same alternator repair. DiMaggio was going to charge me roughly 30 percent more than the dealership and nearly 70 percent more than the other local shops. Nobody called to let me know my car was ready, so I showed up assuming it was done. At pickup, I was charged for services I never approved, with no explanation until I pushed for one. My invoice said I had been given a courtesy vehicle inspection, but I didn't actually receive the results until after I had already complained. When I asked for the manager's contact information in person, I was handed a business card with an incorrect email address on it. I had to track down his correct email myself just to reach him. He did call the following day, and I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 only because of that call, but the conversation mostly defended his team's handling of things rather than offering any real path to fixing it. Because of that, I ended up taking my car to another shop instead. This experience was more than terrible. It didn't make sense on paper or even in person. Avoid this shop if you can.
