I left to do a few errands only to have the power steering go on my return trip home. I thought if I phoned AAA they would definitely come and end up towing the car - leaving me stranded and of all times it was the holiday .. So I thought, just try to get home. If it goes completely at least you will be closer. So I proceeded to drive VERY slowly without taking any turns .... Try that sometime! Haha I got back safely but was unsuccessful parking it... Anyone who saw it would definitely think I'd had some type of liquid lunch ... Tuesday morning I phoned the closest repair shop to me - which is Main St Auto..it's very close but with my health being what it is now too far for me to walk. Rami asked if I could get the car there but not to worry - he would help me get back home. How kind is that! With all the muscle I've got I managed to get the into his parking area. He explained he would go over it and call me. He was truthful in that the actual work probably wouldn't be completed the same day... I saw how busy they are and definitely understood. I was just grateful I could get the car there & the opportunity to have what was wrong repaired. And just as he said, he gave me a ride back to where I live..... He phoned later in the day with the diagnosis along with an estimate of the cost. I felt the price quoted was definitely fair. So yesterday late morning he called and said it was all set. Then asked if I needed a ride to pick it up - I did. He was here within 10 minutes with my car. We drove back, settled the bill and I drove back home - steering perfectly. This was an awesome experience! I was a new & desperate customer and Rami was so kind. He definitely went out of his way to help me and the work done so well. From now on I will be bringing my car there for service !!!

We have been going here for probably 15 or 20 years for my wife's car and mine, and in all that…read moretime I don't think I ever had one issue with any service, from oil changes to a pretty major repair on my Jeep. We also bought an older (but nice looking) RAV4 for our daughter as her first car probably 10 years ago from their lot, and she's still driving it with almost 300,000 miles on it. She gets it regularly maintained at this shop and it still looks good! I like going in there, they treat you almost as if you are their friend and it's a real personal touch like in the old days, Andy remembers my name --nobody does that anymore because most people don't seem to care, but they do and it feels good, if I'm being honest. I am surprised to see some people saying it is too expensive and I will probably concede that it is not the bargain basement of car places but neither is the professional level of expertise and what you get for the money. In talking to a coworker of mine in Hampton NH and one of my neighbors about some car issues, they go to the dealerships where they bought their cars and they paid a lot and both had problems with the work, my neighbor always gets a little bit of a rough reception at his car dealership in Peabody and they give him an argument about everything, but that has never been our experience here, not even a hint of any ill treatment, 100% the polar opposite. As I said, we have never felt we overpaid here and have always been satisfied with the repairs. It is hard to find a good mechanic that you trust, and Andy and his wife, who works there also but I believe only a few days a week, are real sweet people and they really love and respect their customers in my opinion. They never do anything that doesn't need doing. I most recently brought in a used Subaru that I purchased to get anything fixed that needed fixing. They checked every little thing and charged me only for the gasoline additive they put in to try and fix an engine noise. I was lucky to have this place close at hand for my first two cars.
