I replaced the bumper with an OEM part and decided to give High Street Garage a try as Eric down at Pete's Garage has spoken highly of them when I have asked about Inspections in the past. I drove down there and saw an older man with white hair in the open inspection bay. I walked up, said hi and asked if they were doing inspections. He must have seen me drive in with the "R" sticker. He immediately started in on me saying he would not inspect the vehicle and I should go back to where it was initially inspected. I just asked why he wouldn't do the inspection and he just got louder and said "if I didn't repair it, I won't re inspect it." It was an OEM bumper for christ sakes, and it took me all of 2 hours to remove and replace. This was the first time I have had a vehicle rejected so I was not aware of the need to go back to the original inspection station. I would have thought that since these are State Inspections, the process would be uniform across all service stations. It looked to me like he was having a bad Monday and decided to give a bit of that attitude to me. I'll cross this station off my list. Not the way to treat a person or a potential customer.

Jimmy and his staff changed my cars engine in a couple of days, thinking it would had been a week or so, but not here. The price?! significantly lower from what other shops were asking! Specially the dealer, half of the cost! The job? new engine installation, fluids, new battery, and vehicle inspected! Its been a few days and the vehicle is running like new, no leaks and I'm even taking it back soon for a free oil change! (requirements for new engine installation). I can't talk about everyone else's experience other than my own. First off, I understand that my car and its condition was not the easiest to work with (probably an understatement). I have had work done here previously and everything for the most part was great. I think the common theme of the shop being money hungry and misdiagnosing issues is also accurate in my situation. The timing was done on my car as well as the camshafts. The work was done but had to go back for a myriad of other issues that "randomly happened" after it was put back together. Missing carbon fiber insert, AC not working properly, car shutting off randomly, etc. the first diagnosis was that I needed to replace THE ENTIRE MOTOR. (laughable) and then once that was rejected, they went down the rabbit hole of throwing parts at it and seeing what stuck instead of doing a proper diagnosis. We all know that Keith will then push the blame and come up with something showing that it was actually the customer's fault and your car is the problem and not the shop blah blah blah. I will say though that John and Kurt (previous tech) are great people. Unfortunately, Keith happens to be a blemish and a callus in the VW/ Audi community. There are far more knowledgeable mechanics in the area and in NH. If you need an oil change or your tires rotated, I am sure they will do great. If you need anything that requires any type of thought process, go elsewhere. P.S. The car was properly diagnosed and the issues were fixed correctly by another shop and now running how it should. Now it will be Keith's turn to come up with something incorrect that sways things his direction. What a hack.

Brought my 2012 audi S4 to this shop with test pipes to get installed, I was quoted $1060 which…read moreseemed high but had no issues with it, test pipes were installed and 2 weeks later im getting a bank 2 too lean code, I sent a datalog to my tuner and he says something on bank 2 is off and I bring the car back to keith to get it checked and 02 spacers removed and he said everything was fine, 1 week later I get it checked by another shop and they find a exhaust leak on the test pipe causing the bank 2 issue, for $1060 there shouldnt be any exhaust leaks especially after being over checked, they also left a wrench in my engine bay which almost destroyed my belts and car, super unprofessional stay away

Kudos to Mike, the owner of Bridge Street Auto. My mother got an oil change there and within days,…read moreoil was leaking. Since Bridge Street Auto was closed on the weekend I had to bring the car to another service station where they discovered that when the oil change was done, the mechanic accidentally (hey we're all human and we all make mistakes) did not tighten the filter inside the housing unit which caused the oil to leak . The service station cleaned up the oil, replaced the filter and oil. The charge including the labor was $250. I contacted Mike on Monday so that he was aware of what happened and how it cost us $250. Without any hesitation at all, his response was "bring me the receipt and I will take care of it". He reimbursed my mother the $250 and was so apologetic and kind. This is how a true business man should be. Thank you for stepping up and taking responsibility. Very professional guy.
