This hidden gem is a staple in the West Point Hudson Valley area! This new location is not far from the old location in Highland Falls, NY right outside Thayer gate. Fort Montgomery is blessed to be chosen as the NEW resting home of American Burrito! Once they held a eating competition where winners had their portraits painted on their walls All the people are as AWESOME as the Food! So many savory choices for every palate. Perfect for families, friend hangouts, lunch date. The fish tacos are my FAVORITE must have!!! Please treat them well!!! I love these guys.

Service was pretty awesome, took my order carefully and did not rush, plus throughly explained an item I was ordering, also next to no wait. I do enjoy they a small sauce bar off to the side for your order with cups, lids and a little to go bags for them. I would not recommend the habanero sauce though, just one taste of it and feels like pure fiery pain. Mild and verde are the best way. For small size for burrito it was freaking huge, I mean there was a large size for the thing and like how much bigger was large if small was epic. The filling, the fish was good and meaty, but bit salty, do wish there was more fish since the burrito was a lot of cilantro rice, and black beans, also the creamy habanero sauce was great, wish I had a cup it instead of straight habanero sauce at the sauce bar. For tacos, they were again huge in size, plenty of tender juicy brisket, with fair amounts of lettuce and tomatoes. Tacos could been more seasoned, but the mild sauce did do wonders on it. This place definitely does the Texas style of size here when comes to portions.

The chicken tacos are my absolute favorite. They're well seasoned, juicy, and never dry. Pair them with the chips and house made guacamole (definitely not store bought), and you've got a perfect meal. I also recommend the chicken burrito, which is huge, flavorful, and satisfying every single time. The prices are very affordable, and the portions are generous. You really get your money's worth here. Whether you're grabbing takeout or sitting down for a casual meal, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The staff is always friendly and helpful, which just adds to the charm. This place is a hidden gem, and I can't recommend it enough to anyone in the area or just passing through. If you're looking for authentic Mexican food in Peekskill, this is the spot.

The food was pretty good, although what I was looking forward to the most ended up being the biggest disappointment. I was really in the mood for tacos so I decided to give this place a try. It really is surprising to me how so many restaurants in the area that claim to offer "authentic Mexican" seem to care so little about the quality of their tacos. My chicken tacos were simply plain grilled chicken on tortillas with a couple pieces of radish and 2 lime wedges on the side. No cilantro, no onion, no cojita, and the tortillas weren't slightly grilled the way most people like. My expectations were severely dashed as soon as I saw what they looked like. I know how much Mexicans take pride in their tacos, and I believe Mexicans are some of the most culinarily gifted people walking this earth. So my question is why do so many Mexican spots, especially this new one, put forth such half-assed effort into their tacos. I hope the decision makers of this place read this and take my advice, sell better tacos. It's a nice atmosphere, decorated well, with a nice bar that has as big a selection of tequila as I've seen around here. I want this place to succeed and I will give them another shot in the near future.

It's a really big space with lots of seating both at the bar and tables. There was music playing and the vibe was lively but not too loud. Service was really quick! Felt like our food order came out in like 5-10 mins tops and everything came out hot and fresh. Our server was Adrian Q. and he was friendly and knowledgeable of menu items. Adrian gave us a complimentary drink at the end- warm red wine. And no I don't mean room temperature, I mean actually heated with steam coming out. It was at first because I've never heard of that but it actually wasn't bad and was kind of like a palate cleanser. Drinks: We both opted for the large coyote-rita with don julio for $34.50. I had the passion fruit and she had the tamarind. Both flavors were really good and I was surprised that the tamarind was not overly sweet. The drinks packed a good punch so I would say it's worth the price. Food: we started with the calamares frito, Yuka fritas, and alitas de pollo. The yuka fritas were really good, the calamari was ok, seems like it was frozen but the sauces that came with it were amazing, especially the green sauce, and the wings were good but nothing special. For entrees, I had the quesadilla de camarones and she had the enchiladas. The quesadilla was amazing! Loved every bit of it. It had pieces of shrimp inside as well as whole shrimps on the top in a creamy sauce. It also came with rice and beans which were also good. My friend enjoyed her enchiladas. It's her favorite thing there. This place is very far from (like 2 hours) but would def visit again when I'm in the area.
