DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. They had the vinyl planks I wanted. They were inventory clearance. I was not sure anything went wrong with this product or not. I asked Bob Mathis. He replied all of them are inventory clearance. I bought 40 boxes, 630 Sq Ft. All boxes were mixed with bad and good ones. There were a lot of spots on the vinyl planks. They look like the wood was missing some spots of stain. This is a real technical problem. After I contacted the claim agent, Amber Cantrell. She told me the manufacturer said that was normal! After that, I found the plank had milling problems, the click lock system has a big issue, the planks don't stay flat on the surface. Conclusion, they know the problem but still sell the product as a good ones. They tried to cheat people! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. read more

My sales guy was very nice. HOWEVER, I told him the design I wanted and he told me to order 15% more to make sure we had enough for the design. Got the flooring only to find out that you cannot do the design we wanted with that flooring at all. We purchased 15% extra for something we cannot do. Then we called the sales guy and he told us that there would be a restocking fee if we returned any flooring. Terrible service and it's the worst to have a sales person who actually doesn't know what they're doing. Really disappointing! read more

DO NOT DO business with this company EVER. Their sale's people are great. Their customer service is THE WORST...especially Amber (the claim's representative). They'll have you complete a myriad of claim's forms, take countless photos, get quotes, and they'll come back with something else you're missing or say you didn't submit the photos correctly. They make you take countless photos and then send EACH photo in a separate email; otherwise, they will not file your claim with the manufacturer. It's a BOGUS operation, and you WILL GET SCREWED if you do business with them. read more

American Carpet Wholesalers provided excellent customer service when needed for floor tiles that did not hold up well. They kept me up to date with the process and followed-up with the manufacturer. The results were fair and just. I would recommend working with them in the future. Many firms can sell product, it is the service afterwards that makes the real difference. read more

They do not stick to the return policy. I wanted to return 5 boxes that were not a special order and they would not accept it. 2 boxes were never opened and 3 were opened on the side only and taped close with brn tape and they said they would not accept it with the tape. I wrapped it also in bunding tape which is clear and done is several directions to further protect to return and they wont give a a return authorization,. Nothing said in there return policy about taping the boxes ina certain way You have to open the boxes to examine them and i only took out 1 board to examine it. and put in back to return. I spent a couple of thousand dollars and they are not ethical. read more

My contractor miscalculated the measurements and we had to find 3 cartons of Somerset White Oak Natural. We found no one in California that could fill this order at a decent price. I found ACW, did everything by phone, salesman was super helpful and friendly, quick, efficient with a great price. My 3 cartons arrived FedEx when he told me they would (there was a week delay by the manufacturer but the salesman called me the next day to let me know) they were all in tact and not one broken board. We are very happy with ACW and highly recommend them! read more

I purchase a Stanton rug from this company in April. It started out looking great but slowly got worse. 5 bags full of fiber over 5 months and the binding continues to come apart. I paid $3000 for this rug. They sent an inspector over time, we couldn't coordinate a day but it finally worked out. Now, I've worked in design, sold carpet so I knew the inspector wouldn't go my way. Blamed 2 German Shepherds. I feel like that is ignorance and very low on his part and silly to say the least. I also find it Prejudice that WH carpet would even talk about my shepherds. The inspector failed to say how beautiful and well kept my house is. Nonetheless, I asked for a refund of $1500 and I heard crickets. Do not buy from these people. Once you buy it's over. Stay local always!!! Do not trust WHC to talk care of its customer. I was looking for an online store that had a good price on Armstrong La Plata tiles when I found these guys. I checked out their reviews and liked what I saw, so I placed my order. SInce my time frame was pretty short and my delivery requirements were unusual, I did everything over the phone with a rep named Ben Upshaw. Well, Ben came through and met all my needs: great price, quick delivery, and adelivery method that worked for me. I was really impressed with the condition of the tiles when they arrived - carefully palletized and securely wrapped so that I had zero damage in transit. Do not use this company for your flooring needs. They have messed up our order THREE times now. They said our floors would be ready on a specific date and then when that date comes they said the floors are not available yet. Then once the floors are ready there are 4 boxes missing from our order! They did say that would ship us the boxes free of charge so that was nice but once we got home and unloaded the pallet there were 3 boxes of incorrect flooring. Crazy!! They are sending us the correct boxes. These mistakes have cost us for pushing back the installation. I'm very unhappy with this business and will not be using them in the future. read more

My purchase with the company has been frustrating from the start. It is extremely hard to get someone on the phone and issues resolved. Poor customer service and complicated ordering process. They charge hundreds of dollars over the product price for terrible shipping services through a different freight company. Poor communication. I ordered flooring, adhesive, and the stripper the week before Thanksgiving and all I have to show for it is a tub of glue. Has put renuevation and sell of my home behind tremendously. read more

They have to have the wife's selection of carpet, vinyl and wood in the US and for some reason they don't have it they will order it for you. A joke of a company when it comes to customer service. Starting from the Claim Department Manager Amber, right up to the VP of Sales/Operations Lloyd. They absolutely need training on how to deal with their customers. Wrong flooring shipped out, took over 5 days to get the correct flooring and no sense of urgency or concern for the lost time and labor it cost me as a Business Owner. Never again will I use them. I was in touch with Sonya for about a month concerning materials and pricing. There was no question that she would not answer for me and she did so in the kindest way possible. I had been speaking with three different companies when getting estimates and American Carpet Wholesalers had the best prices by far, and outstanding customer service every step of the way! AVOID AVOID. American Carpet Wholesalers offered a more expensive flooring when the one I wanted was not available. The salesman said his substitute would look the same as the one I wanted. When it arrived (almost two weeks late) it didn't look anything like the one I wanted. When I tried to return it they refused because I had trimmed one end. I am not satisfied with the outcome. I ended up putting the vinyl in a barn on our farm because it is just too ugly to go in a home. When I finally found the vinyl I originally wanted it cost 60% less than what American Carpet Wholesalers charged for their ugly substitute. read more

They offer awful customer service and do not "guarantee customer satisfaction" as they claim on their website. As a design professional, issues definitely come up as part of a project, that is to be expected. IT IS HOWEVER THE WAY IN WHICH A COMPANY DEALS WITH THE ISSUE THAT DECIDES THE LEVEL OF SATISFACTION. It was with the hopes of really gaining the best price that I chose to use American Carpet Wholesalers, but after they didn't stand behind their customer service and I had to pay a couple hundred dollars out of pocket to rectify the situation, there was no longer a cost savings. When my order was lost (and shipping was provided by and arranged through American Carpet Wholesalers), their customer service representative (Amber) was more concerned about leaving work at 5 p.m. than she was at helping me locate my missing flooring that had been confirmed for delivery that day (and in fact had received a call from the delivery company that it was on it's way to the house -- when I finally called for the second time to inquire where it was, I found out that the flooring was in fact LOST.) I called Amber (at 4:50 p.m.) and she had to leave by 5 p.m. and told me that she lives with an unfinished floor in her own house and didn't understand why I was upset). So I was left on my own to handle the situation (she did remain on the line with me but instead of calling the local delivery office that I had been in contact with she was going to call the general (800) number to get a representative who had no knowledge of the present issue). At the end of the day, she and American Warehouse were of no help and I had to handle resolving the issue on my own. After the fact, I called American Warehouse to get the money back from the shipping/delivery since they defaulted on delivering as stated, and I had to pay an additional $300 plus to get the shipping issue rectified, their senior manager promised to get back to me and never did. When I finally addressed the matter with them, they wouldn't share the information for the claim they were placing with their shipper, which I found frustrating since they had no idea of what actually happened in detail (I kept detailed notes).
