Then I stopped by Shotwell Auto Body and met owner/manager Charlene O'Connor. She inspected the scratch and said, "You know, I think we might be able to buff that out." So a couple of days later, I dropped off the Subaru and returned a few hours later to find it looking good as new. No sign of the scratch. So how much do you suppose that cost? $200 maybe? $300? "Don't worry about it," Charlene said. She did the job for free! I asked her why she suggested buffing instead of a higher priced repair. "We're honest," she said.
