I have a tire with a slow leak. I've been here 3 times trying to get it fixed. Trip #1 the guy behind the counter was very rude and seemed to be annoyed at the fact that I needed a tire repair. He told me that it would be 45 min before he could even look at the tire. I asked him if he could put some air in the tire and I'd come back when they weren't as busy. He told me to pull to bay 2 fir air. When I pulled to the back every bay was open except one and the guy that I had just spoke with was eating a breakfast burrito. I asked him what time should I come back he said between 3 & 4 pm. Trip #2 3pm the guy behind the counter (very nice guy) told me that he wasn't sure that they could get to me because they were really busy..... I could see that they were swamped so I told that I would just come back in the morning he told me to come as early as possible....No problem right? Trip# 3 I arrive at 7AM sharp no one showed up until almost 7:30 and it Mr bad attitude from the day before....he proceeded to tell me that I just walked thru the door and no one is here yet, the compressors are not fired up yet so I don't know when I can get your tire fixed. I called to have this company sell and mount 4 tires on my truck. They kept hanging up on me multiple times because I have a speech impediment from a combat wound. After asking to speak to someone else. They again hung up on me. Four phone calls later. I have up on them and will never again contact them. I will now travel 35 miles away to get tires. I will never go back to this place in my town of Quartzsite, AZ The person could here me just fine there but was just a very rude person. Don't waste your time there. The guy behind the front desk has to personality of a rock. They seem to be uncaring às to how they talk to you. I asked for an estimate on a set for my Rhino and was quoted a price over $700. Had tire failure in Quartzite and called these folks for help. Didn't have the tire in stock so had to order it to be delivered the next day. Neat clean shop but they were anal about anyone walking through the shop area even though there was little happening. Very abrupt with customers. Waited parked behind business with motorhome and toad until the tire arrived. Was told to drive the rig into the shop in a drive thru bay but told I had to wait outside crazy, they wanted me to drive a huge motorhome and road into their building than get out and wait outside the building. said it was their insurance. Wonder what the insurance broker would have said if he saw a customer drive two vehicles into a bay? I explained insurance or not I was going to watch the work preformed. Not a word was spoken forward, job completed, receipt handed to me and I drove the combo out through the other door of the shop. They did the work correctly but their customer skills were very poor. Never thanked me for my business. Never mentioned a rebate on the tire from the mfg they held back! So I guess they got their $60 tip! read more

I blew a tire on my new travel trailer, coming out of Blythe. My tires had less than 6k mikes on them, so put on the new spare & figured I'd just get a good used tire to replace it. American fixed me up. Identical sized trailer tire with good tread, mounted, with valve stem for 40 bucks. Solid deal. Be aware if you show up in season, they're short handed & crazy busy. And they deal with a lot of "odd" customers. This is Quartzsite, after all. LOL read more

Terrible terrible terrible Our driver went to American Custom Tire to repair a flat tire paid 50$ for it only to have a flat 30 minutes later after contacting the accounting I was informed that they fix the tires and that the driver had to get a new hole on a tire. Conversation was very unpleasant very unprofessional after which I told him that instead of telling me that it is my fault he should talk to his employees about it. I have a receipt and that was it no accommodations have been made. So I basically paid for nothing and who likes to do that? No one. I got a bad blow out coming home to California on a Sunday, so all tire shops were closed. I couldn't drive 200 miles on the donut, so I am so glad this place was available with their 23 hour service. There was an $85 open shop fee (since they were closed) but they were my only hope. Jan 20 Based on reviews, I went to ACT&T to have 4 tires put on my Bounder Motorhome (TOYO Mish 16 Ply) They also put on new valve stems and 2 extenders. When I picked up my Motorhome, I asked David how much air he put in the tires. He said 100lbs (may have even said 110) But at least 100. I told him 82lbs was all that I put on my Michelin tires according to Micheins guide. He said he can't put n less than 100lbs. After I left the tire shopl to continue my trip, I could feel a diffeeince in the ride. The Motorhome would move to the left and right more than before and and much more when past by trucks or wind gusts. I called David and he said sometimes tires take a while to get used to the road ( Not sure of exactly what he said ) A little after, I stopped again and called TOYO. They were astonished that 100lbs were put in the tires. Even saying that it could be dangerous. They said 82 to 84lbs is what it should be. I tried to take air out of the tires and could not do it ! Some of the valves and extensions were in such a position that a tire guage could not be put on them. After arriving at my destination, I tried to take the wheel covers off, but could not get them off because one of them had a nut that could NOT be loosened even with the wrench provided in my Motorhome. I assumed that whoever put them back on at ACT tightened one TOO tight. I went to BigO and they re-did most of the valve stems and extenders free of charge. And the tires were set at 84lbs read more

David is absolutely not the guy who should be working the front counter at all!!!!! not only is he rude but he walks around taking his time , he quoted us 30 min to get us 2 tires and it took an hour and a half almost because he kept helping other people instead of finishing our tires ! we had our father sitting on the side of the road waiting who is older and almost over heated . We came back again to get 2 more tires a few days later on our way home so we could have matching tires and again with his horrible attitude and poor customer service someone please talk to this guys because this shop seems like a decent place but he made our experience here horrific ! We did have a guy named Robbie help us load up our tires and he was very nice and made it a little better . It was a good visit today and I had to wait a long time to get the battery replaced in my 2007 GMC Yukon. No problem because I knew that they were short-handed and it was a holiday. Everything went well until I got ready to pay the bill. Then, all of a sudden, I thought that I was in a high school gym. We explained our tire/ rim issue and they told us to come first thing in the morning. Shop opened and they worked on us right away. Had a flat on a motorcycle and was literally stranded. Was going to have to get a tow and nearly screwed up our entire trip. I asked David if he could please help us out. What can I say. I called Joshua from the freeway asking if they had a hose. My radiator was clogged with dirt and my 2013 gmc truck was overheating. Wharf I got there, he had me pull up to the bay and he personally hosed and blew out my radiator, fixing my problem. Such amazing service. We had a flat tire about 60 miles before Blythe heading east. After trying several places in Blythe, someone suggested American Tire in Quartzsite. I called him on our way over to make sure they were open since it was 7pm on a Saturday. He answered the phone and even though he wasn't the warmest person to talk to he asked us what size tire we needed and then arranged to meet us at his shop. He was upfront with his fees and honest and fair overall. We really appreciated him helping us get back on the road again especially on a Saturday night. I was driving home from Arizona when my tire blew out. Just by luck it happened right at the exit where this place was at. It was a Sunday evening around 6pm and we were worried that they were closed. I called the phone number and the gentleman quoted me a price for the tire and a price to open the garage after hours. The wait time for the employee whos name was John to arrive was less than ten minutes. When John arrived he told me what the price would be and he got right to work. Not only did he hustle to to get us back on the road as soon as possible he was super friendly and took the time to check out all of my tires. He was the most honest person I have ever dealt with at a car garage. Hands down this place has the best customer service. If they weren't so far away they would be my new tire shop! Run the other way! These guys are a dangerous lot. Need a tire repair, they get really BENT if you offer to pay them with a credit card. "If you pay with a credit car, you'll have to pay tax!"
