After an inspection, our insurance company required our condo complex (7 units in the South Bay) to have all our balconies serviced and waterproofed or they would drop our insurance. They gave me an estimate He tried to jack up the price after the job When I wouldn't agree to it, he then threatened me with a lawsuit and a lien. They did some work for us last year because our second story deck was leaking downstairs. First rain that came a month ago we noticed it was leaking again. We told them about it and it took a month for them to get here after we kept bugging them to take a look and countless "I'll get back to you" excuses. When they finally arrived they said the leak was caused by something else. If that's the case then why did you do the work that you did? The guy that came out didn't have an answer and told us the manager Marvin will get back to us. Needless to say, haven't heard from him. So to respond to your comment. The flashing is not something new. Why wasn't it addressed as the source of the leak when the repair on the door was done. They are so confident about their work that they did not take a deposit but got paid after they passed a water test. I got a few bids and American wasn't the cheapest and not the most expensive one.... but I sure am glad I used them. The price they quoted was reasonable and they showed up on time as promised and did a really nice job. The workers were professional and very clean and cleaned up every day. I also love the fact that they did some extras and didn't nickel and dime me to death with extra fees (I have had this with the every other decking company I used!!).
