Lousy customer service. The front desk insisted that I needed to leave a credit card on file for any "incidentals" such as a missed appointment. I told them I was not comfortable doing that, as I had 2 different credit cards hacked in the past year. I also told them that there has never been an issue with me paying a bill, I have always paid at time of service. She simply said, "this is our policy, you're not going to be able to come back after today." I have never heard of this and have been to plenty of dr's offices, plus a run a dr's office. if there was a -0 this is what would be given. I'm going to try to make this as short as possible. As I went in to have a bridge put in. after the impression came back went in to have fitted and it was not done right, there was too much play on the one side had to get another impression to have sent out again. almost 6 months later had the bridge put in. I can say I am not very happy with it. it has already popped out; I had put it back in and was able to get an appointment 2 days later and for some reason it would not come out so they did not want to force it out, so I left. just the other day it has popped out again was able to put it back in. I have had a bridge on the other side done at least 20 years ago from a dentist that has retired (reason I went to American Dental), and it has not ever popped out the way this one has from American Dental. I can also say the teeth on the bridge are a bit too big and I am sure I will continue to have the bridge pop out again. too much money to be wasted. this is very aggravating. also had an issue for my husband as he was going to have partials and the first visit the estimate was given and was paid however here to find out they would have to do some grinding of the jawbone and teeth extractions the cost was 14K he decided not to go ahead with the partial. had I not said anything (months later) I would have never got our money back. I even had to get the insurance company involved. they never even submitted the claim to the insurance company (even though it would have been declined) until after the insurance company got involved months later, we did get the money back. I have since found another dentist and they are wonderful. they even can-do crowns in the same day, no waiting. I would avoid American Dental Solutions if at all possible. read more

Run away from here if you want to save your money and mouth. Horrible service with negligent staff. They ignore concerns or things that need to be addressed and fixed. Lost a tooth due to their incompetence and was up charged an enormous amount from what was originally quoted. Honestly this is the worst place I can't even understand how they people live with themselves. read more

When I called to make my appointment I told the receptionist I didn't want any x-rays. She didn't say it would be a problem and told me to bring it up with the dentist when I saw them. When I did see the dentist and I told them I didn't want any x-rays, they told me they wouldn't do anything without them. I can only assume the receptionist was aware of this "policy" but never mentioned it when I brought it up initially. I discussed the x-ray issue briefly with the Dentist, he conceded that they aren't always useful, but insisted anyway. I just needed a tooth extracted and saw no reason for x-rays. It's been my experience that they are usually a waste of time and money and certainly not necessary for an extraction. I'm sure I will get a bill from them.... since they did absolutely nothing. I would avoid any business that won't do what the customer asks. I will find a dentist that will do what I want, not what they want to do to maximize their profits..... or I WILL PULL IT MYSELF! They lied about my insurance coverage! I had to call my insurance company to ask them to send paperwork to prove that I have the coverage.

My daughter has been an orthodontics patient since 2010.  She has received horrible treatment,  I have paid your company over  $3000 and have not received the service that was expected. Dr McIntyre initially was her orthodontics, he recommended an expanded which we got and she had on for numerous months. After the expanded he recommended braces knowing that she had many baby teeth that were not loose and at the age that she got braces she should have lost most of her baby teeth and she didn't.  We complained numerous times to the treatment coordinator because every time we went to the office we had a different assistant working on my daughter's mouth and many seem to lack the basic knowledge of orthodontics. My daughter's had 2 teeth that was impacted that Dr McIntyre never realize were impacted. Thank God for Dr. Gulati in Sinking Spring who advised me of this. By this time Dr McIntyre left and another doctor was in the office. I brought this to her attention and she recommended my child go to the oral surgeon which is did at American Dental in Kenhorst. The oral surgeon attached chain to the impacted teeth and hee teeth was lowered. She was told that she has to go to the dentist every week to 2 weeks which she did. This doctor who I cannot remember her name left and Molly took over, I have had multiple conversations with Molly about her treatment plan and have not recieved a satisfactory answer. Molly advise me that one of her teeth was not lowering and she needed to see a oral surgeon. We took her to Valley oral surgery and the oral surgeon charged me $250 for a CT of her mouth only to be advised that they do not know what Molly wants because her teeth is coming down and they refused to shave her gums as requested by Molly. Molly then advised that she recommend she gets her wisdom tooth out. At no point did Molly advise that her lower wisdom tooth was blocking the tooth beside them from fully coming out of the root.  I was told 2 years ago that they are making space for one her teeth that is missing. A mold was even made of her mouth and nothing happened. This was prior to Molly and now Molly is doing the same thing I was told 2 years ago and Molly only started working on making space last December.  My general dentist advised me that her gums are inflamed and there seems to be cavities under her braces. My daughter has faithfully kept all her appointments and at no point did Molly or the hygienist advise any of the above information. I called weeks ago and made a complaint with general manager and requested a call and I recieved a call from Molly which I did not return because this is about the service she is providing. This company has provided horrible service and me being someone who works in health is appalled at the services provided. I requested to have my daughter's treatment discontinued because I have found another orthodontics that will treat her and provide better service. I will have to pay $4000 out of pocket and I think the company should refund me all the money I paid for her braces. This services received was atrocious and horribe. I spent almost two hours at ADS and left without a cleaning! I filled out paperwork, and was X-Rayed. A dental assistant looked at each tooth/gum with an instrument and called out numbers 3,4,5,1, etc to another assistant who recorded them. She then left and came back and told me I had gum disease and would need a special type of cleaning. I have no pain, no bleeding, and no one has ever suggested I had gum disease before. She went to the front desk to get a quote from my insurance $239 for a special cleaning for those with gum disease. It could not be done today; a separate appointment would be needed. Next, the dentist came in and looked at my teeth for cavities. She found two. One was so severe I needed a root canal, she said. I was taken aback as I've never needed a root canal and have a total of 2 cavities over the past 4 decades. She re-Xrayed my decayed tooth and said there was not that much damage after all and it could just be filled. She then left to go to the front desk person for an estimate from my insurance and my copay amount. She never spoke to me about gum disease; I guess the diagnosis from the dental assistant was sufficient. That seemed extremely surprising to me. I went to the waiting room and waited about 10 minutes while people checked out before finally checking out with my estimate for fillings. A lot of insurance research, an extremely flimsy diagnosis (gum disease as determined not by a dentist), a mis-diagnosis (needed a root canal, turns out after looking at XRay, I do not) and close attention to amounts and copays. About 90 minutes and no actual dental cleaning! Will never return! read more

Called over a week ago with a few legitimate complaints and concerns. I was assured my dental X-rays would be reviewed and a call returned by the manager. Needless to say, no return call or follow up from my complaints. This is not the first time I didn't receive a return call. I have went to both the Muhlenberg and Wyomissing locations. I felt completely scammed overall. Also, Jody is a very rough hygienist and forces products and services on you with little to no consideration of your opinion or how much out-of-pocket expenses they will entail (she literally argued with me about what my benefits would cover although I had just verified them prior to the visit). I was literally spitting pieces of gum tissue out after a cleaning by her only to be told my gums are now inflamed. I will definitely not be returning to American Dental for any further services. Do not recommend!!!! read more

Told me that I did not need my wisdom teeth removed despite being in terrible pain. Went to spark orthodontics, got an xray done and they said they should of came out a long time ago. Way to go American Dental Solutions for causing me extreme pain for months. read more

I hate giving negative reviews BUT...I got invisalign braces for cosmetic reasons as an adult (my teeth weren't even that bad) and it took almost 3 years for them to straighten my teeth. There were 3 different orthodontists in the 3 years I went there and I lost count of how many ortho assistants were in and out of there... Most of the girls are super friendly and Dr. Molly (newest and current orthodontist) is knowledgable and friendly) but I usually had to wait past my apt. time to get called back... 1.5 years into my treatment they ordered more invisalign and then never even called me when they recieved them. I called and asked if they were there and they said they had been there for like 2 weeks or something. A different time I was told to go to their office in muhlenberg instead of my normal wyomissing office and then i got to the office and they had never transported my invisalign to the office i had my apt. at so I had to wait a half hour. There were more experiences similar to these but I cant remember them all. Overall, not the best experience. For the amount of money I paid for invisalign, you would think the service would be better. In the end, my teeth are straight but it was not a great experience getting to this point. I remember initially choosing American dental because it was a little cheaper than some of the other ortho offices but if I could go back, I would probably have spent more somewhere else in hopes of better service. read more

Poor experience and very unprofessional treatment. I was a patient for almost 2 years in this office, and up until my departure, their higher than average cost wouldve been my only compliant. But the hygienist I saw was wonderful and my original doctor was great to work with. After he left for another office, Dr Moyer took over the practice and is one of the most disrespectful and obnoxious doctors I have ever met. During a quick check after a cleaning, he damaged a filling I had done the previous year, then refused to admit fault and claimed I would need to pay for the restoration. Basically dismissed the issue, then couldn't fit me in for days for the work, despite leaving me in searing pain. When I stopped by the next day to try and get an appt, became argurmentive with me and literally paced around the office shouting at me. When I asked for me records and x-rays so I could see a different dentist, he refused to release me records. My new dentist on the other hand fit me in the same day, gave emergency treatment, and even took up the fight with American Dental to get my records released. They also waived the fees to fix my filling, even though it wasnt their work that failed. If you need an honest dentist who actually cares about patient health, Dr Dando in Hamburg is the best. I have happily been a patient there ever since read more
