Paul & the rest of American Discount Plumbing are amazing! I've used American Discount Plumbing for 3 different services & plumbing needs. How I first found Paul was one of my two water heaters (tank type) started leaking. I wanted to switch to tankless type (which are more expensive than tank type) so I called about 10 plumbing companies, and had 10 come and give me bids. I was so surprised that for some of the bigger name companies, they actually send a salesperson, NOT a plumber to come give a bid. And of course their bids were 2-3x the smaller companies. Crazy! So the 2 big ones were out when they showed up with salespeople. Then I had 3 smaller plumbing companies come and give a bid, and Paul was the lowest of them all, while also seeming to know the most. He spent the most time checking everything needed, and I could tell he cares about quality. He also had everything ready to go on the truck, so I went with American Discount Plumbing for my first water heater replacement. Because I liked Paul so much, I had him change the other tank type water heater over to tankless about 2 weeks later. And boy, did he work hard! He was super flexible with time, and worked until the job was completed every time, and the piping looks like a work of art! Just today (Saturday!) I walked into a spare bedroom bathroom, and I found water on the floor. I didn't even bother calling anyone else, I just called American Discount Plumbing. Paul answered on the first ring, and he ran to the plumbing supply store (closing in 15 mins!) and grabbed a new toilet and headed to me immediately. I rarely write reviews, but I wholeheartedly recommend Paul and the rest of American Discount Plumbing for any plumbing needs. Called Paul about 10a and he was at my home by noon. He inspected the problem made some recommendations, then started the work. There was a lot of damage but he corrected several errors made by the previous plumber and instructed me in what I needed to do after he left. He finished the job in just a couple of hours and the charges were more than reasonable...from all he had to do I expected the bill to be much higher than it was. All in all he did a great job, showed me what he was doing and explained why it needed to be done. Beyond 5 stars! Paul and his associates set the standard for first rate, knowledgeable, and timely service. Discovered a serious leak in the main water line running to our house on a Saturday afternoon. Went on Yelp and found American Discount, called them up and Paul was at my house within an hour. After diagnosing the problem, he called an associate (Eddie) and the within 15 minutes the two were discussing what was needed and how soon they could start the work - that evening, or 5am the next morning (Sunday). Either option sounded great to me as most companies would have left me alone to deal with the leak until Monday. They decided to start the next morning, but to my surprise, a few hours later, I saw Eddie on my front lawn beginning the repair work - he said he just wanted to get on the job as soon as possible. Exemplary! We greatly appreciate Paul and Eddie's help in resolving our emergency. They are friendly, honest, experienced pros who will go the extra step to take care of you. American Discount Plumbing. This is the 2nd plumber I called after the first tried to overcharge so much it wasn't even like watching a football game from the cheap seats, they weren't even in the same ballpark. American Discount though, they know the meaning of the word Discount (over $1,500 from the 1st, but $525 from American Discount.... now that is a discount! They also know the meaning of the word plumbing, which the 1st company must have been thinking of something else. I worked with Paul at American and he was great! He knew what he was talking about, diagnosed things correctly, and most important solved the problems in very good time. What the other company wanted to charge about $500 or more for 1 part, Paul at American Discount fixed free. I knew it wasn't what the 1st company said when they wanted to replace a whole faucet! The first company and I did review them, left without even giving me an estimate, lied continually and even when they said they would email the estimate... they didn't. Glad they can afford to lose customers so much. Paul at American Discount told me what was needed, and what the cost was, and that is what it was and not a penny more - well except there would have been a small charge for using my credit card, but a personal check was fine. He let me know when he was coming, worked around my schedule, followed the mask guidelines, even wore gloves, and took his shoes off since I am at high risk. He was friendly, showed me why something wasn't working, and even made sure not to let my cat escape! Most important, the problems that had been existing for months that my apartment complex refused to fix, he fixed them all, so all are working and it only took a little more than an hour. I would absolutely suggest that anyone needing a plumber, call Paul at American Discount Plumbing. Sometimes we take for granted people who work in the trades. Some are good others not so much. In the plumbing trade I've found it rare to find someone who's good, fair, and reasonable in what they charge. Guess you could say that for all the trades. But with every tradesman I call I always take the time to ask a little about their experience and find their backgrounds of interest. Paul (Pavel's) is exceptional. Romanian born, emigrated to the US in 1989 without a dime in his pocket along with a wife and five kids, divorced, remarried with two kids, worked a number of different jobs, found his niche in plumbing and started his own business, "American Discount Plumbing" in which he is his only employee. When I see who this country has allowed to "immigrate" for the past eight years Pavel (Paul) has a work ethic worthy of admiration. And well deserved because this guy represents everything this country was founded upon.
